Woooooooowwwww unbelievably impressed by the Manager, Tessa, communication and professionalism. As a business owner myself, I was wowed. I dont know her and I was so proud of her excellence. Girl, you are it! Hope LA sees it. Happy to make this my first positive review. Youre a star Tessa.

Overall I would say this gym falls into the above average category. There is an immense selection of workout equipment, which can be rather intimidating for a newbie, but the atmosphere allows for anyone to test out the equipment. The only downsides to this particular location would be the lack of certain selections of equipment such as kettlebells and the rather busy hours that are usually after normal work hours. Still I would definitely recommend becoming a member here!

Always love the gym. I dont like the hours since the pandemic. I do hope they keep the disinfectant bottles for the customers. Please fix the equipment most does not function. Its never gets addressed. I have been looking at other gyms that have more to offer. Group workouts are so motivating. And one new place has movies in the darkroom while using the bikes elapse and treadmill and stepper.

Its where you go to__________. I have been a member for years. A large seflection of machines and free weights. Classes and pool. The membership is very reasonable for the size and amenities.

Horrible staff, most of cardio equipments are broken, I have taken this issue to the manager many times for the last 6 months, they simply ignored it, stay away don’t be fooled by their low price of membership,

Working individually with the staff has been as expected; no real complaints. However, working with management at this location has been difficult. At times, they are evasive, hard to get a hold of and they dont actively listen to your request and concerns.

Wowwwww amazing. Pool especially it was not freezing. Lifeguard very friendly. New shower curtains a huge plus. Someone was cleaning around the equipment consistently. Huuuge 5 star rating!!!

The Manager Tessa Jones is really Rude and unhelpful. She provided us with very curt and impolite answers about our membership. One of our worst experiences at a fitness center.

Today, myself and other individuals were robbed and wallets were stolen inside the men locker room. I had a lock on my locker and somehow they were able to bring equipment to break the locks and steal my belongings. When I told the front desk about my situation they all looked confused like they did not know what to do (Horrible Management) When they stopped staring at each other they came and helped me look for my gym bag which was found without my wallet. So they stole my wallet which only had a $1 bill. I cancelled all my credit cards immediately. When I found my gym bag one of the associates suggested that I lock my belongings in another locker, instead of having empathy. He was careless and kept pretending to work on his computer. Again, this is horrible and it will definitely leave a bad reputation for the gym.

Its ok. They still need to work on cleanliness. The floors tend to look gross in the dumbbell area near the benches and racks.

Front desk staff is extremely rude. i go here and to the copely location. always a great experience at copely alway get hassled and a hard time from staff at the quince orchard location. dont go to the location

Gym is nice and clean, could be a little better if it was thorough; on treadmill cup holders.

The most unprofessional management I have ever seen!!!Everything will be smooth until you decide to cancel your membership. As soon as they hear the word cancellation, they will hang up the phone on you. I had to call them multiple times and then visit the center every single day until they accepted my cancellation. If someone likes your service, they will get back to you no matter what. But, if this is the type of behavior then no one will ever be interested in signing up at your center.A big NO from my end!!!

I come here 5 days a week. The location is clean and they take COVID-19 protocols seriously. I feel safe in working out here during the pandemic.

LA Fitness please clean the pool water. Last night was like pigs were swimming in it.

1 star for location and another for being fairly clean. However not being open at at posted times is unacceptable. Many paying customers only have minimal time to workout before work and need every minute. Pic provided taken at 5:10am on Mon 10/28/19.

This place is underrated. I actually prefer this location due to COVID because they try harder to enforce safety precautions and...I think fewer people go here, so the swimming pool is cleaner too. The classes are by location, so this one right now has a balance of yoga and zumba, which i like.

Nice facility that cant really be beat for the price. Staff always seems friendly and everything is clean. Some of the equipment is a little old but all in all not too bad. Wish they had a few more squat racks but I guess there is only so much space. Was pleasantly surprised with the overall operation after joining.

They have everything you could ask for in a gym including a pool.

I chose this place because it is bigger and thought it would be safer, but from the staff checking your temp pointing the thermometer at your hand, to not enforcing the mask requirement, it is far from a safe place during covid.

Machines need to be clean more often .... Studio doors need to remain close as music is way too loud ... There is no supervision to deal with special people dropping weights like there is no tomorrow... If you can, go somewhere else.

I had been a member of Golds near the airport... I had only joined LA Fitness due to a foot injury and I needed a pool to be able to do cardio and not further hurt my foot. First, mask rules were not enforced... I was there looking around and was the only one wearing a mask. I mean the person to the right of me and the person to the left of me had completely taken the mask off their face while in the cardio area. Second, nobody is actually cleaning. When you walk in they ask the client to take a bottle of disinfectant and a rag so you can be responsible for your cleaning their gym. If you do not need a pool I would recommend joining Golds... it is cleaner and people wear their masks.

Best gym in the Germantown Gaithersburg area hands down. Anyone who complains about it being dirty obviously doesn’t go there often. Most times it’s the nasty people who leave paper towels behind and throw them on the floor and never pick them up. Janitors often pass by and pick them up. Overall the gym is very clean and professional and has many great Zumba and other classes. Best gym hands down for the price. Lifetime is great but that’s over 100$ monthly. This is only 25$

Yesterday, July 10, there was a problem with the girl who was in charge of opening the gym, which when she saw that she had entered the premises three minutes before the established time, she began to yell at everyone and take them out in a bad way that girl would not have to work on the gym as he has a terrible aptitude.

Ive been a member for a few years now and they still have my interest in utilizing their services. The staff is doing an awesome job with screening their members temperature prior to admittance to the gym to avoid a COVID-19 outbreak. Keep up the excellent job!

They are doing a great job. Just need someone to supervise the weight lifting area more.

Good amount of space. Good selection of free weights. Staff is friendly and always makes you feel welcome. Basketball court for the kid to practice in. Enough cardio machines that they can still be used.

Went last Tuesday morning around 6:15 and the girl at the front desk wasn’t very nice. If you’re working at the front desk, you should be more welcoming than that. Geez!!! 😡

Shout out to Rodney who made the enrollment process a breeze, follows up to see how things are going, and always has a greeting.Another shout out to the housekeeping team, this club is spic and span. On multiple visits, in less than a week, while I was in the cardio area I observed a member of the housekeeping team scrubbing the equipment with a brush and a bucket of sanitizing cleaner (I work out midday some time between 1pm and 4pm. They are not just wiping down the screens and handles but the rails of the treadmills, the bases of the ellipticals and bikes, etc.Fitness is so important, especially in the times we are living, so I am grateful that the LA Fitness in Gaithersburg pays such close attention to detail and is providing a safe environment for their members.Finally, a shout out to the Operations Manager Tessa who always has a smile under her mask and walks her club to ensure that everything is well maintained.Safe, friendly environment. Highly recommend!

Incredibly unprofessional staff. I spoke to Chuck Wilson and he was incredibly rude and unhelpful. When I mentioned that I was unsatisfied with his responses he told me it was my problem and he would not assist me. Do not bring your business to this location.

I have upgraded my review of LA Fitness in Gaithersburg.New review: The changes in the club since a new Mgr named Tessa has taken over and things have taken shape. She is accountable, informed and leads by example. I notice there is 100% compliance of covid protocols as well as finally, finally 100% ID checks.The staff is competent in their respective disciplines, friendly and appear to have a consistently high morale. The place is clean, property supplied and there are no machines that remain inoperable for months.Below is an older review soon after the reopening but Prior to managerial updates.Prior to pandemic it was just overcrowded, average cleanliness and staff who seemed distracted with zero accountability. You could get enough cardio, weights and some decent classes in. Post pandemic I drive 20 min to get to the club so it is frustrating too see how the employees and managers do not bother to enforce the mask rules. The last 4 out of 5 visits people were not wearing masks, and has no,intention to. I pointed out these folks to management and I hear yeah they should wear them. No effort to speak with these people. I was able to just adjust my workout to avoid the mask haters. Now I cant get away from,them. My wife and I have been members if la fitness, ballys, holiday spa 31 yrs. We will not renew our membership or others in our family.

Excellent staff. Personal trainer group is the best of the town.

Theyre not following the class capacity limitations and they DO NOT CLEAN. The dirtiest LA Fitness!!!! I wish theyd do a better job at this location.

What not to love about LA fitness

Terrific gym, so many machines to choose from and the basketball gym is a plus. The staff are so nice and willing to help, especially Terry. As an employee he has helped me choose the right membership for my needs as I have been coming and going for college. He has been such a huge help for my fitness experience at LA. Shout out to Terry. The facility is quite clean and has everything needed for a great workout. I am pleased and have enjoyed my time here as a member.

The Manger Terry is an awesome guy!!! I was doubting the gym at first after seeing lifetime Gburg, but he Took me on a great tour and described the gym perfectly and in a manner that just made me want to start working out on the spot. Last he took me to his desk and give me an awesome deal off that back without trying to sell me at all! Definitely see him if trying to join. Then the gym itself is great! People are motivated! Gym is clean! Has everything you could ask for! LA Fitness is definitely worth joining!

Love the gym! Only issue is dirty locker rooms, but besides that it is great! A Young man named Terry helped me and my husband out 12/31/2018 and has us only paying 19.99 a month! Training is a bit expensive but is definitely worth trying! See a young lady in glasses if interested she made me happy to be training. People are very nice in classes, made me feel welcomed. Overall great experience, glad to be here :)

Watched a kid have a Seizure in the gym. Told the disk. Had no care in the world. Thats when I knew. I have to just be super careful 😕 smh

Terry is the man at this location! He hooked everything up for me without any issues or caveats. Really loved LA fitness during my previous membership, so I’m glad to be back at an amazing location with a very well priced plan.

I enjoy this location mostly because the patrons are friendly and always willing to let a new person jump in on some sets of squats. The staff is friendly and does not get in the way of the experience. You can easily walk in, do you workout and walk out without any hastle or too much waiting for equipment.

Staff is cool. Only issue is some people dont have proper gym etiquette. Marking 4 machines with your towels doesnt reserve the whole gym for you. If youre going to train a circuit hire a personal trainer. Others need to knockout efficient workouts. Place is clean though and not too busy early in the morning.Sauna is finally fixed.

Decent equipment and hours but the weight room is ALWAYS trashed. Inconsiderate people who are too busy looking in the mirror to put away their weights away or wipe down equipment. This is only amplified by the apathetic staff who won’t clean up the place at night or in the morning. Too busy with browsing their phones behind the front desk to actually take care of this place.If there was a better option locally I’d be there in an instant.

Extremely terrible customer service. They are only ‘nice’ to people who they think that can bring them money or do them favors. The guy named Chunk who calls himself Vice President SUCKS!!!

Better than most gym with equipment, but a petri dish of germs and dirt 😝 One cleaning station that all ignored due to location and many steps to use.

Solid gym got the most part. My only hang up is that these members seem to find it impossible to re-rack their weights slung with the janitorial/ over night stag being rather inept at fling tuhday dame thing also. The free weight section and dumbbell section always looks like a war zone.

Came here and decided to go back to the one at Crown Plaza near Rio. Way to many old members here, which is not bad. Also, the other one has new equipment and I love their pool. Staff is awesome and always willing to help.

Huge spacious gym with new equipment. Does not get too crowded during peak hours either due to high number of machines and equipment. Parking is not too bad to find most of the time

While the gym is nice, it is very heavily used during peak hours and waits are long for certain equipment. Also, i left my gym bag in my locker with a lock and the lock was broken off within the hour i was there, my bag was placed under a bench and searched through for valuables. Luckily, I keep my wallet on me, but this seems to be a regular occurrence for which they have not found a solution. Canceling membership and going elsewhere.

A good place to workout many equipments but locker room floor can be dirty sometimes and it gets packed in the evenings. Go non rush hours if you want to maximize your time. I would recommend this place.

The facility is great in terms of the equipment. But there are problems. Biggest is the staff is sleazy. Dishonest. They promised to permit my child to come with me and sit quietly watching TV, telling me that a child the age of my child was permitted by their policy to sit alone and watch the tube. I told them this was a condition of my joining and they were unequivocal in their commitment and agreement. Then they changed their policy and would not let her come and sit quietly. I have to pay $5 each time she comes or $10/month. So this has cost more money than I had agreed to. I was deceived. Also there is a lot of theft in the locker rooms. The lockers should have autolock with self-selected combinations. I do not like this feeling that either the staff or the clientele are going to rip me off.

Spacious locker rooms, VERY clean facility, Nice classes that are free... The staff that checks in your membership though is a 50/50. Half the time there is someone nice there and the other half of the time, that person looks like they hate their life... And yours too... Its a toss up.

Great gym, decent staff. Only real complaint is some or the equipment isnt necessarily broken, but off balance. The shoulder press for example, the left and ride are on different levels.

I used to like this gym when it was well maintained. In the recent few months condition of this place has gone down drastically. Bathrooms are not kept clean, work out equipment will be out of service for months at a time and customer service it self has been very poor.

I go here five times a week and it is consistently clean and well kept. Swimming pool and sauna is nice to have. Plenty of locker space and bathrooms are usually clean. Great staff and always very helpful.

The parking lot is terrible. On several occasions Ive seen disputes over spots. Inside the gym is a basic gym. Employees tend to not do anything when you bring it to their attention. The best part of this gym is the child care.

This is a good gym as far as equipment goes. Showers in women’s locker room are always dirty. Staff is OK.I’ve been going to gyms for a LONG time, and this gym is the absolute worse for people not racking their weights.Your mommy doesn’t work here!!

DO NOT sign a contract with them until you read it word by word!! DO NOT TRUST representatives! They just talk you into it and without you knowing you will end up paying fees!!

Everything is always scheduled for service and never fixed. The sauna in the womens locker room has been broken and no one will address my complaint. I would recommend finding another gym that is cleaner, stays on top of maintenance issues, and listens to its customers.

Just moved here, and I love this location! Never been to an LA Fitness before this, but the staff is friendly, theres always available equipment no matter the time of day, and the members are diverse. Definitely not a meat head gym, which I love!

I like this gym because it is close to where I live. But, if you have a problem with something after you join, no one returns phone calls. If you sign up for personal training, there is a clause in the contract that they continue charging you after the period of time you sign up for ends unless you tell them personally you do not want to continue. Be aware of that clause! No one will help you out by reminding you. And no one will return your phone calls when you try to get help.

The locker rooms are NEVER clean, none of the paper towel dispensers work, people dont rack the dumbbells correct, nor does the staff want to correct that problem compared to other gyms where staff makes a legitimate effort to correct it, staff is literally nonexistent here, have to wait to be checked in several times now in a single week. These are just some of the many faults, compared to the LA Fitness at Copley place, this place is terrible.

I regularly workout at five different la fitness locations, all equally clean and maintained well. Sounds like a good thing, but what I cant understand is why the cleaning staff at Gaithersburg insists on walking through the showers every 5 minutes, adding to the same soap dispensers each time with a few drops of soap, cutting eyes at you. Almost makes one think they are peeping toms, or at a minimum, water police. Very uncomfortable feeling at this location. Again, measuring fairly against four other locations, all just as clean, so it is what it is.

The maintenance is poor. Most of the times the rest rooms are not clean and hand wash and sanitizer bottles will be almost empty.

My local gym . its cool

This gym is ok but you can probably find better. There isnt a lot of room to exercise beyond their equipment. There is no wifi, which was shocking because that seems like something any gym would invest in. The childrens area is sufficient.

Good yoga teacher but the room seemed like it was not sweeped and mopped in a long time.

The gym is nice but there is a serious theft issue there and the management doesnt seem to be addressing it. My car was burglarized in the parking lot and Ive heard from many members that lockers have been broken into. Dont bring anything of value to this location.

Great gym. They have an indoor pool and lost of classes. Equipment is not always occupied though at peak hour a little queuing is not uncommon.

Lovely gym. Love the pool. The only way to save is to make a 3 year contract. It comes to 18 per month for all states.
