2 weekends in a row I booked through AAA for the member discount and each time I was cancelled at the last minute. The 1st time they called me just a couple of hours before pick-up... the 2nd time they claimed my credit wasnt good enough to rent from them when every other agency Ive used approved me in seconds. When I looked online and saw that their regular charges were $91 / day and up and my AAA rental was $33 / day, I realized what was going on. Im done with this location. Seems that they dont want to honor AAA discounts when they can get more money from non-members. Bait and switch 2021 style.
The several times Ive worked with Brian, hes been kind and quick. Hes helpful and knowledgeable, and has just the right sense of urgency for a business of this nature. Last visit, there was a line of three and he got me out the door in 30 minutes. So many of the bad reviews are impatient people
Brian and Akira are awesome!!!We rented from Hertz, Gaithersburg several times and they gave us the best services. They have quality service and quality personality. Theyre working hard inside the office and outside in taking care of the vehicles. The regional manager needs to get them help with the outside work.
Brian and his colleague are working an extraordinary work. He is working in the office and then going outside:-1) He clean the car carpet, ...2) Sanitizing, ... and go back to office to finish the office business. Amazing!

Overall it never seems to happens when the part is inexpensive but labor is extortion

I was not happy with the service for one the girl in the office seems to have an attitude not good love your job pretend even if you dont your getting paid. Two the car had an old man body odor which was disgusting and it kept on beeping for what reason Im not sure, three I could not go to a meeting be because the car had a light coming on and all that was said was sorry? I missed a important meeting compensate me in some way?? Then I toke the car back and Brian said because the light didnt come on when he parked it he cant help me. Thank goodness I toke a picture. Wow and he is the manager. Im sorry bad customer service is not good and I do not tolerate it at all....

Long wait...the gas tank was barely above 1/8, but paperwork said it was full. Had to go back and wait again to clear that up...

When I got there no one was around and had to wait hour +. Then when I had an accident they lied about having a car available to replace damaged one I found out when they thought I was someone else and asked me what class car I wanted!!! SHADY

First time using this location and definitely wont be my last . Brian and his team are amazing. They are professionals and provided great customers service. I was and in out in no time . I would definitely recommend going to them if you need a rental.
Brian and Ramon provided excellent customer service and earned all the stars. The car was not in good condition and luckily I made it back! This location is in the lobby of a hotel and I did my research, so it wasnt hard to find. I would use this location again because the service was awesome.
They don’t answer their phone I called this location a bunch of times this morning to arrange a pick up for rsvp no one was there to answer my calls at one point I thought someone answered and immediately hung up the line. I had to get in contact with a manager at a different location to help facilitate my request.
I hope this location doesnt represent the company as a whole.I traveled from California to Maryland for work. I made my reservation several days in advance through their website. Because I made the reservation through Navy Federal, I needed to pay at the desk.This location has outdated software. When I tried to pay for the reservation, their scanner would not read the magnetic strip on my credit card. Although the scanner had a microchip reader, they could not use this function. The staff member refused to manually type in my card information--even fast food restaurants can do this!I had another card, but it was a debit/credit card. Because I am not 25, they would not allow me to use or try this card. I turn 25 in three months.I called the customer support team through Hertz who were unable to assist because they have no control over the decisions of the manager on duty.My company was not allowed to pay for the vehicle because the card has to match the drivers information. They wouldnt accept cash. They wouldnt accept a check.Thankfully, I have a bank with outstanding customer service who will be over-nighting me a new credit card to use for a rental car. I obviously will not be returning.I am incredibly disappointed with how management handled this situation. They offered no support and simply could have cared less.
Ive rented from this place at least 4 times on business. Every time I got excellent, quick service. The person is very courteous and helpful. At times there were some issues with the pre-booking but the person at the counter was ready to help resolve issues without fuss. Ill recommend this location to everyone of my friends and will myself continue to rent from here in future.

Have rented a car from this location a few times when I was having trouble with my car. They have always been very accommodating. Its also nice that if you need to take public transportation, its right along a bus route. I only wish they had longer hours, but theyre on par with other car rental businesses.
Reserved a full size with a Hertz agent for a Monday morning pick up. They didnt have a full size. Others there wanted a full size but none were available. Location was dirty, cars were dirty, only one person working.I walked down the street to Enterprise and got what I wanted in 15 minutes. It was clean and ready to go. Office is modern and staff were great. Hertz gets a zero
I received excellent and professional service from them. We rented a car yesterday and unfortunately one wheel cap went missing without our knowledge. When we went to return the car we were extended out of box solution to fix the car and then they fixed the issue by assisting us in a very amicable and professional way which was unimaginable for us. We had very bad experience with Budget car rental at 701 russell avenue at the lake Forest mall few months ago whereas Hertz team was a complete professional and empathetic story. As a diplomatic and having my family members living in the USA which visit few times a year an requiring renting cars different parts of the world, I would admit that this is the best rental experience we had to ever had all over the world. I would request people to just verify my statement by visiting the Hertz in Gaithersburg.

This guy didnt give me an exactry address and details. And this location is inside of another business. He never pickup the phone and when I get there he was so rude and left me with no car the hall weekend. I will never recomend this company.

I only gave a 1 star cause I had too . Avoid avoid avoid... rude disrespectful and think they own Hertz. They will up sell and try to overcharge you. Just avoid yes they have good cars but avoid this location at all costs. They are judgemental too!!

Car was damaged which I have never been provided with Hertz. The car did not run well. When the car stopped at s traffic light, for example, it felt like someone hit the bumper which did not happen but it jerked forward.The employees were professional and curious.I will not reserve a car from this location.Hertz management should investigate why a damaged and problems with the car was allocated.
Employees are not so nice. Atmosphere is stiff
No flexibility in payment options or return times. Received a vehicle with not only dirty windows, but NO windshield washer fluid. Worst part is, we found out in the middle of a rainstorm, that the Wipers were Long Overdue, caused a high risk safety hazard for the long ride home.

Unable to provide zero stars. Will not use this location of Hertz again. Advised AAA of our concern. Car was dirty and we requested that they clean it before departing. Brian acted as if we were asking for something unreasonable. He left to wash it and returned the car still with the windows dirty and bird droppings on the drivers side. We were already delayed and could not arrange for a rental elsewhere.Service, gone to the dogs..just about everywhere. I cant imagine the variations in service at this location and certainly skeptical of the glowing remarks as well as there are no management responses to the negative reviews.
I would give 0 stars if possible.No one communicated location inside hotelThe lyft driver didnt know either so we drove around for 45 minutes while I called the location nonstop for assistance. No one answered and no voicemail so the lyft driver took me home. I was late to work the next morning due to no one answering the phone during business hours. I had to call my insurance company to get in touch with their location to set up another ride from my home back to their location. Was sent on my way in a rental with no contract. Once car was returned I waited 24 hours for communication as to my total charges, reached out, was advised a call would be made next am by 10 but never received a call or voicemail. My credit card was charged a week later without contact, contract, or receipt. Another week goes by and I am charged for tolls on my credit card as well. Come to find out there is a transponder in the vehicle which was charging for tolls while my own ezpass transponder was also being charged. Again no communication of their transponder or their rental toll system etc. I communicated every concern and issue immediately as they surfaced, their response is simply apologies and that my situation is 1 in 100.
Beware. Avoid this location, rude, poor customer service and they did not have my car when I showed up. It was bait and switch. I had a full size car reserved and and when I got their they only had an economy available. They said that Hertz did not deliver cars there and they said I should consider them like an airline when they give away your seat. They said three people came before me and so I was to get what was left. I was there at my rental time and they did not even care. I would not rent a car or get any type of service from that location. They are giving Hertz a bad reputation. If you read all of the reviews here and yelp you will see they have done this to others.

I am a regular to this location. I got treated well by several employees there. I did have 1 or 2 unpleasant rental in the past. Really because the car I got has no cruise control and selly. My suggestion to others would be speak up upfront.
I very rude people! Called for hours no one picked the phone. When they did they didn’t have my car that was reserved 3 days in advance. No apology just a defensive rude attendant.

I made reservation and thought I would had my car. I was in a urgent but had to waited 20-30 min before they finally got me a car. You dont have options of cars and car was old with 70,000 miles on it. Unconcerned about customer and will not come back again.

Awful customer service. The gentleman seemed to hate his job, and it showed with his terrible customer service. Will never use this Hertz again, and will recommend that Corporate change from Hertz as our preferred dealer.
