This place is Top notch! We pulled into get gas which was lowest Diesel cost in town! We are heading out of town heading across the country to Washington State and noticed a nail in the tire last few days called every tire place in town and was denied service! Either too busy or they couldn’t do it! My husband noticed they had auto service thought let’s ask and give it one last shot before we head out without hesitation they said yes we can do it! Love the can do attitude! Thank you Almond’s Automotive you were a huge blessing! This place is the only place anyone should go for gas or auto service!

Referred by a friend...The staff is friendly and offers a used car check for under $30. We bought the car and now have a reliable mechanic and service spot for our young driver/ car owner. I would definitely recommend.

Every single time my boyfriend tries to talk to someone at this establishment, they are rude to him. This is the millionth time I’ve heard about someone at this business being rude to a customer and I’ve had it. I’ve been coming to Almonds for auto-repair for two years and I’ll no longer be giving them my business due to unprofessionalism. Sad.

My wife and I have used Almonds for a few years now for our oil changes. Overall they do a good job and we like that they have appointments. But recently their service at the front desk has been very poor. First, they often have their masks off despite the pandemic and local guidelines for indoors. Second, when I dropped off my car I made a point to confirm that they would call me when it was done. So I went across the park for 45 min and came back it had been done for 30 min. Im glad they got it done quickly but when I asked why I wasnt called they didnt even apologize. Then I asked where my car was and the guy said heck if I know, probably around back. We plan to take our business elsewhere moving forward...

My starter went n car had to be towed . I called n wasnt sure what was wrong as my car wouldnt do anything. The owner assured he would look it over, test it, n call with diagnosis which he did. It also had an oil leak n the gasket had gone bad. He replaced all of this for the price of a new starter. He also had my car put back together n ready for pick up by 5:00!! I have a new mechanic n would recommend them to anyone!!

My daughter, freshman gator had car trouble. Took it to Auto Zone first they said needs a new alternator and recommended Tires Plus, they confirmed and wanted $700.00 to replace it. I called Clay from Almond Automotive, he said if thats what it needs it would be $450.00 to replace. She took it to Almond, they went over the electrical system and determined it was a loose battery terminal contact. Tightened it and low and behold, problem solved and charged nothing for it. This place is beyond honest and its great to know that when your child is away, you have piece of mind that youve found an honest, ethical, reasonably priced repair facility. We will be using Almond for the next 3 1/2 years for sure. Thank you Clay!!

Very friendly and honest place, and the last time we went there Matthew spent at least half an hour thoroughly checking out a tire issue. They are knowledgeable and have very fair prices. Plus, they even have non-ethanol fuel. What a great old fashioned service station, thanks so much.

While the oil change seems to have done my car wonders, the Customer Support I received was less than stellar. This was my second oil change with Almonds so I felt pretty confident going in. My appointment was for 1:00 pm. I called beforehand to verify the time it would take to complete as I would need to visit them during my lunch hour. I was told it would take no more than 40 minutes, perfect as it would leave me 20 minutes to grab a quick lunch. Well, I arrived at 12:50. Early I know. I sat and waited very patiently as the clock got closer and closer to now 1:30 pm. 30 minutes after my initial scheduled appointment, and my car had still not been seen.It took me getting the managers attention, to get a service technician to look at my car. I’m already 30 minutes into my hour lunch. Cool. I’m a patient man. I realize that I may be late to work. Fine.Around 2:10 now and the manager comes back and tells me that there’s another issue with my car and he recommends I get it fixed. I comply because hey, what do I know about cars. Nothing. He hands me a bill for $88. Cool. I catch an Uber back to work (at my own expense) and await my vehicle being ready.Upon returning to Almond’s my car is ready. I’m provided a new invoice that’s now priced at $125. A cool $37 increase. Fine. I just want a car that works. Through all this trouble and lack of awareness on behalf of Almond’s Technicians it was the Managers disposition as well as the front service technicians attitude that will forever bar me from spending another dime.They were short. Rude. Slow. Dismissive. And quite honestly I think a little deceptive. Customer Service goes a long way and simply informing a client as to service times seems to be a very basic and menial task. Why it was askew on Dec 28th we may never know.... I’d hate to think it was because I was a black man, but who knows. I do know that I will not use their services for anything else and I will not be referring any clients their way.

Took a car in late Friday afternoon, knowing I probably wouldn’t get it back the same day. (They said as much). Probably will sit all weekend. Nope. after only a few hours, they had it ready to go. Professionalism, best way to explain it. My father went to that shop for many years, they always took care of him! You can trust these guys. Five star business.

Weve taken our cars to Almonds for years since its convenient to our neighborhood and used to offer really good service, which seems to have declined... No more, after today. Not sure why no one at the front desk was wearing a mask; would really appreciate that consideration and thought businesses were supposed to follow that policy? The real kicker was being charged $66 for an oil change! Checked with the Mazda dealer and they only charge $50. Just doesnt seem like Almonds really cares too much about their customers anymore -

They arent cheap, but they are worth it. They wont bs you and you get really good parts and service. Better to go here the first time than go somewhere they do a halfassed job and have to come here to get it fixed!

Were able to get me scheduled last minute before close after breaking a belt and having to coast there. They called to give me an estimate before doing work. They got me going fast, though it was a pretty easy fix.

Cant say enough good things about the owner / operator of this service shop. Made an appointment for an oil change and when it took longer than expected and they missed my appointment...lets just say they made things right. Will definitely be back.

They did my oil change and tire rotation quickly with my appointment. They had comfy seats while I waited and the staff was very nice.

I have taken my own and my familys cars there for ten years now and am completely satisfied. The provide excellent service at reasonable prices and are always courteous and accommodating. Phew!!! One 100 degree afternoon with noA/C was enough. Next morning, dropped in at Almond’s at 10:30 and and Mechanic Nick had my truck blowing ice by lunchtime. Very efficient and clean.

This is always my first choice for purchasing gas, because it is the only station in town that offers E-85 fuel. One day when I stopped by for gas, I decided to drop into the shop lobby to see if anyone could look at a windshield wiper fluid problem Id been meaning to take care of for a few months. The folks at the shop found what was wrong in a matter of minutes and fixed it for free, which was very gracious. Overall a great place for automotive needs in town.

This shop has a bunch of gentleman working in here I cant say enough good things about here😍 but I will definitely try.From the time we walked in we were greeted with a friendly smile and a hello. As our luck would have it. While traveling out of state (only getting 75,miles into our trip)we had broken our axel on our station wagon right in front of this place as it was closing up for the night. We were so grateful they were still open. My husband and I walked in to ask about getting our vehicle serviced here. And also if I could leave my plants (I had had in the car) inside of the shop.The gentleman said yes,& I was so elated. However, I was still worried about our luggage on top of our vehicle and he said the shop has surveillance cameras all around & thats its a decent neighborhood as well. Fortunately for us we had to stay in town for two days while the part was being delivered(Gainesville is a very beautiful city to explore) Although we had a car ahead of us in line to be serviced, This shop really tried their best to get our car fixed as fast as they possibly could.. We were so happy to receive the call that our car was ready to be pick up. If I could give this shop 7 stars I would!! So since I cant I will give 5 for sure !! They replaced valve cover gaskets and a PCV valve on my truck. They performed the job timely and at a reasonable price. They also fixed my broken windshield washer. They treat my truck as if it were theirs. All previous repairs were just as satisfying. They always fix my truck correctly the first visit.

Amazing place! I am usually very hesitant about car shops, as I know little about cars and am often scammed out of paying more for unnecessary procedures. This place is very friendly and fair! My mom referred me to Almomds Automotive. I had an annoying issue with my car that I just couldnt take anymore. They were able to get me in on short notice, not only to take a look at what was wrong with my car, they even made time to fix it. Mike was great! I can appreciate the fact that I didnt feel like what I had to say didnt matter. Most places I called (Pep Boys and Firestone) made me feel rushed or they were to busy for me. They didnt care what I told them was wrong with my car they just wanted me to bring it in so I can spend money on this or that. I didnt get that impression with everyone here. Everyone from Mike, his mechanics and Jeremy were all very kind and assured me they would get my issue taken care of. They even have a shuttle service to take you where you need to go if you have to drop your car off. Pretty cool. Ill definitely refer friends/family to Almonds Automotive. So happy with the customer service and my car is riding like new!

I have being use Almonds for my oil changes for about 7 years now. The most recent time I showed up early for my appointment, the guys were about to go on lunch break and I was told I was going to have to wait, which I was fine with since I showed up 30mins early. However, 15 mins later my car was ready to go. The decided they would get to my car before lunch. Good customer service goes a long way and at Almonds they are doing it right.

As a previously certified auto mechanic of past, naturally, I am very skeptical of todays automotive repair industry. I was (and have been several times since) pleasantly surprised at the level of professionalism and the consultative approach they took with me, from the store manager, to the service writer, to the technicians themselves. These ethical shops are few and far between, and when you find one like Almond Automotive, you mustnt go any further. I can confidently recommend their services to anyone in need of diagnosis/repair, and those looking to get an honest service at an honest price!

I received a new battery from this company and normally you would think it was an easy fix. However this is about 1 year since then and the battery is already giving out on me as well as swelling on the sides of the battery. The battery also came at a very high price to go along with poor service. After I retrieved my car all the settings to my radio and car system seemed to have been change. Everyone I dealt with was polite, but I would just recommend you go somewhere else.

Trustworthy, fast, and reliable service. The only place in town that I take my car to and recommend to others. I just dropped by today to have a tire looked at... 15 minutes and $16 later the tire was patched and I was on my way!

I have brought my car here three times already and every time they are amazing. The first time they ended up charging me over $100 less than expected because they found a different solution to the problem (and over $200 dollars less than the quote I received from Tire Kingdom). In this last time, my oil was leaking and they told me there was just something that needed to be tightened, and they did it for free.It is very obvious that I am a college student with no knowledge about cars, and they couldve easily taken advantage of that and charged me way more than they did all 3 times. Theyre always honest, and I wouldnt hesitate to return or to recommend them to anyone I know.Thank you for the great service!!

Just had an obnoxious issue with my car alarm and called Almonds to see if they could help. I was in a hurry traveling for work and not only did they fit me in immediately the alarm took very little time so they didnt even charge me! Great service, very nice people all around. Could not recommend them enough!

ABSOLUTELY REPULSIVE. Waited 20 minutes outside for an employee to “use the bathroom”. And it’s almost 10 o’clock on a Saturday. Multiple costumers have left but I can’t because this is the last gas station for miles on my way home. Complete TRASH. Save your money and go across the street.

My cars AC didnt appear to be working so I took it in to have it looked at. They got back to me right away and said the AC did need to be fixed. I found out that because my car was still under warranty (I recently bought it) I had to take it to the car dealership to have the repair covered. Almonds told me that they would normally charge for the diagnosis if I didnt go through with repairs with them. But because they hadnt told me that initially, they wouldnt charge me because that would be wrong. Im super impressed. Since when does a business care about that!

My truck wouldnt start so I had it towed here to be looked at (saw the reviews and thought why not?) on a Friday afternoon. We called beforehand and they didnt mention any issues, but after we showed up, checked in, sat there for 15-20 minutes, they finally asked if we were waiting on a ride or something.. No.. Then they mention that the techs go home at 5 and so the truck wouldnt be looked at until Monday. Um, okay. Why didnt you tell me that when I called at 3 that day and before I traveled almost an hour down there.. Long story short they were rude at check in and then wasted my time. Not impressed.

Almonds Automotive has fantastic friendly service. Stopped by on Veterans Day because my bumper undercarriage had ripped away from the fasteners and was dragging. They fixed it immediately and sent me on my way. Plan on using them for other services such as an oil change.

Had a smooth and professional $17 oil change. I supplied the oil and filter. I am about to have my brakes replaced too. I will continue to use the services here for as long as I live in Gainesville.

Their customer service sucks. I went there to drop off a vehicle for a routine maintenance, and parked, temporarily of course, near the entrance (there is very little parking there). The smart ass at the front desk said you cant park there you have to move it. Thats fine, Im thinking, all I need to know is where to move it to. So I ask him where would you like me to move it?, again there is no obvious areas to park. The smart ass employee who was sadly was the first contact for customers coming there says anywhere but there. After a few seconds, when he realized how condescending and unhelpful a comment like that is to someone asking a reasonable question, he finally tells me another place I can park. Any place who speaks to customers coming there to give them business that way, doesnt deserve my business, and will not get it anymore. I will not even stop there for gas.

The most expensive oil change I have ever had-$64.56. Thats two times what I have paid at Tires Plus down the street and $26 more than I paid the last time I was there.The attendant I dealt with was impolite and confrontational. I had called to ask if they could look at the car for oil change and asked me for the make of the car. I believe I said Kia Sorrento. When I arrived, the woman attendant met me and asked a few questions. I replied with the make and model of of my Kia Sorrento. The man who had answered my call just 10 minutes earlier yelled from the back office I thought you said Nissan Sentra! I told him I may have and wasnt sure.But after further thought, I dont own a Nissan Sentra. I own a Nissan Versa and would have never said Sentra. Anyhow, what difference does it make?!!I phoned back to ask when I could pick up car since I was arriving late and the attendant told me 10:30 p.m. and starts telling me that the pumps are open until then. I said So the office is open so someone can take my payment? he then replies that the pumps are open. I had to reiterate my first question to make sure the office was open to make payment since he had gone on about the pumps being open. Why he couldnt simply answer the question I asked the first time was baffling to me. I believe this was the same guy who didnt understand why I had I had said Kia Sorrento instead of Nissan Sentra he thought he had heard earlier.I wont be going back there. I could get better service and value elsewhere. So much for supporting the small locally owned businesses.

WARNING!1 star - only because theres no 0 star.10/2017 a reputable shop (not Almonds Automotive) replaces leaking expansion tank (part $80) in 2003 vehicle. Notes on shops receipt states, Expansion tank appears to be original expansion tank and un replaced. We found some residue of radiator stopleak in the cooling system.Problem? Same vehicle was at Almonds Automotive 12/2016. At that time Almonds (supposedly) replaced expansion tank, charging me $145/part + $80/ labor. According to Almonds, replacement expansion tank warranted for 1 year.Evidence suggests that 1.) Almonds did NOT replace expansion tank and instead 2.) used stopleak to remedy loss of coolant.Almonds was confronted. A refund of $225 was requested: $145 for the expansion tank (whether it was not actually replaced OR was within 1 year of warranty) and $80 for labor (because evidence suggests that Almonds didnt actually replace the expansion tank and instead used stopleak).Almonds provided NO reimbursement.None of our vehicles will ever be at Almond’s again. And I will be sure to discourage anyone/everyone from doing business with Almond’s.

Stay away from this place!! I was referred to this place and I had nothing but problems. They were unable to find the problem with my radiator overheating for months costing me a college student to pay for a new engine...youve been warned.

Dont come on the weekend. Apparently they have no mechanics on the weekends. We are from out of town and just needed a bolt tightened on the sway bar and wouldnt even let us rent or borrow the tools to do it ourselves! The smirk on his face said it all!
