Windstream is a phone company that lists a disconnected phone number on their website as their contact number. If that doesnt kill any confidence you may have had in them try this: The only # I could even get for them was an 800 # the local police supplied. With this I reached a pleasant young man in Georgia who said he needed my social security # ........just to report a phone line down in the road. I guess their line can stay there.

The worst internet provider Ive ever seen. Their phone service is serviceable, but the internet is strikingly bad. Their download rate ends up being a third of what they advertise. If more than one person is using the network, it has a high chance of losing connection or disconnecting entirely. I personally only have two options for internet providers, but in the future I will choose anything over Windstream.

I have had Windstream for several months now and I would NOT recommend it to anyone. The customer service line is slow and not really helpful. I have a problem with my phone line monthly. (Sometimes 2 or 3 times a month.) The internet service is ridiculously slow.If you need your phone and internet to work, I suggest you go with a different company.

I cant stand their internet they say you should get around 6mb speed. I just did a test and got 421kbs upload speed and 371.8 download, yes down load speed its been going on for 3+ months they do nothing and we cannot get any other service where we live. They probably know that.. It is bull.. We live in a rural area on white cemetery rd. Hannibal. once in a blue moon well get 2mbs speed but will not last for half an hour. Our ping most of the time is between 260-500.. sometimes it over. Its slower than dialup. we pay for high speed internet and get slow speed...

They have the worst customer service as bad a time warner. such a run around to get a local office and then they turn out to be gas stations or someones desk phone or hang up on you.

They are the worst the internet and phone provider in the world if you have a choice use someone else
