Worst studio everrrr. I have got tendinitis on my wrist and I couldn’t workout for while and froze my account. When it is time to get unfreeze, I have submitted a doc from doctors office by directly dropping it off in the studio. The guy who was in the studio he said he will freeze my account for 3 months without charging freeze fees. But in 3”2 weeks I got charged $160 and when I called the studio. They said there is no freeze. This is the second time I got charged $160 without working out because of their negligence. And I tried to reach manager when I faced this situation multiple times through email and phone and she never responds. Very very bad experience over all. Otf only cares about money, they don’t care about customers and their situations. The only answer for them is we can’t return money. If you can’t return money why don’t work properly and put the freeze correctly on the account. Please don’t go to this studio.

I struggle pacing myself so being able to visualize it onThe screen thanks to the monitor/sensor. The coach is very knowledgeable and I think is the key to my success. It’s like having a personal trainer but with the support of the class as well. I do really enjoy Coach Matti in Mckinney! This is a tough workouts of the work out but it’s well organized and not overly crazy or too difficult. I went years without working out at a pace like this and after 2 classes, I felt comfortable. It is overall pretty expensive so going often/ more than 3x a week in order to make the cost easier.

The BEST part of my day!Over 5 years ago the OTF studio in Mckinney opened, I wanted to try it out but I was afraid that I was out of shape and the workout would be too hard. With the encouragement of a friend, we decided to try it out and I have never looked back. I love everything about OTF! Coaches and staff have changed over the years but my love for OTF has never waivered because they always hire friendly, knowledgeable and professional coaches and staff. I love the coaches for their enthusiasm and encouragement, pushing me out of my comfort zone I love the challenging workouts that keep me coming back, its always something different and it truly is therapuetic, which is why you will hear people accidently call it Orange Therapy. I love the Sales Associates for their friendly and warm smiles no matter what time of day it is. I love the GOOD we do for our community through our Orange Love charities. OTF is not just improving your health and well being through fitness, its also about building the most AMAZING Friendships, we cheer each other on in our workouts and in life. OTF truly is about community!MORE LIFE!!!

Heart rate monitor only works for a minute or two before it drops out, defeating the whole purpose of their system. Why bother? They wont issue a refund for their poorly-designed equipment only a replacement (Ive been through three,) or credit towards a more expensive option which uses the same unreliable system.Im done with these guys. There are better and cheaper options.

Update: Changing my initial review. They offered me a free class when I went in they told me they needed to charge me for the class. They acknowledged it was their mistake but still said they would need to charge me for the class. However, they did say they tried calling me a 45 minutes before I was suppose to be at the class (I was driving to the class). So glad I rearranged my schedule to show up to a class that they surprised me with a charge. Bait and switch. I don’t trust them nor will I ever plan to attend this location. I don’t respect people who aren’t honest and do not value time.Previous: Great work out. Super intense! Feeling it today!! My only issue is not having enough spacing to feel comfortable taking off my mask. Does not seem like there is 6 feet between each person. Due to the intensity of the work outs would have liked to take off my mask.

Great workout and instructors. I loved the workout and visual indicator on board of calories burned and heart rate. I really wanted to continue this workout but I had to terminate my membership due to studio policies. They charge $12 for non-cancelled class. Fair no complain. Per their rules, I provided doctors certificate to get waiver for late cancel, however studio ignored my doc certificate and charged fees. Their class booking app has some issues, I could not cancel or book classes many times. I have raised service ticket couple of times and they found issue in app and fixed it. I got charged $12 couple of time due to their faulty app. After couple of instance they told me to message studio if issue arise again, however they did not refund previous charges. Studio allows 5 min late arrival to class. Couple of time I was 2-3 min late to class but studio still charged late fee.The heart rate monitor is overpriced. $120 you can get much better quality wearable with display and many more functionalities. OTF beat just measures heart rate, which intermittently gets stuck in one of zone. After terminating membership this is just dead weight with no use.Although I liked the workout, disappointed with this studio. Since there is no other OTF studio nearby so I decided to cancel the membership.

My husband and I have been members of OTF for 3 years. When Mckinney opened, we followed the awesome stuido manager Sydney to McKinney and transferred our memberships due to the proximity of this location to our home! Let me tell you about this studio. It has transformed my body, mind and soul. Seriously, who is eager to wake up at 4 am to go and workout? Me and about 25 other OTF’s who are there to get a good workout. With trainers that are encouraging and give you just enough push and motivation and front office and desk staff who know you by name and go out of their way to ensure the workout experience you want to have is achieved they make it easy! OTF McKinney really is a tribe. We’ve watched a studio come together when an OTFmember was diagnosed with breast cancer, we’ve raised money for fallen officers and the list goes on.My husband and I both travel for work and having a membership at OTF means we can workout at any studio anywhere! That’s incredibly valuable as i know the type of experience i will get will be consistent whether I’m in Texas or Boston. If you’re looking for a solid workout at facilities that are spread throughout the country... look no further than the orange splat! Remember, your experience is a direct reflection of what you put in to the class and your time there. We are all there to get our sweat on at various stages of fitness. If you are there with the spirit of just working out, you don’t have to talk to anyone, just stay in your zone, I have those days too. But more often then not, I enjoy receiving or giving a fist bump to get me through my last all out or a call out from a trainer... even if my splat point totals are suspect :) The members who know what they are here for enjoy and respect what OTF is about. It is not a big box gym... it is a tribe of men and women ready to workout and take down whatever these awesome trainers have coming for them! #LOVEOTFMCKINNEY

I havent even been able to go and experience it because I cant schedule my free first time session. Site is awful and just keeps looping me, then once I finally get to checkout (because its not really free and you have to add an additional purchase like another class to get it) it says the input cart items are invalid whatever that means. Site is just overall very clunky and makes me even more skeptical of the tech they use during the actual workout. Also, no single customer service number to call to get passed this. Very disappointed as I was excited to sign up and try it since Ive generally heard good things.

Interestingly they charge $12 even if you are not able to make changes due to technical glitch. Another thing I found that the space is really cramped and I always have a fear that someone can drop weights and hurt others. The concept is good but execution is bad. For a whole week I couldnt walk.... after $700 on doctor, xrays and MRI...I was diagnosed with a muscle sprain... I have a 4 month old baby girl and it took more effort to get to the class but I just really wanted to go. I’m very disappointed because my husband and I have been going to OT for a while, we love their workouts and were there when they first opened and got to know the initial trainers. Just started back up and things have changed. I get they have new policies and I have no issue with that, I just think they could of handled this differently, it would of gone a long way had they notified me of the new policy for next time and let me in to the class, not sure what harm that would have done, regardless I paid for the class.

I love that the workouts are always different. The coaches are amazing!! I also love that the daily workout is the same no matter which OTF location you go to. It pushes me more knowing that my friends (in other states) are working out along with me. The heart rate monitoring system helps me push myself within the limits my heart can handle. Having a heart condition has made working out challenging and this is the first program that has helped me gain strength and burn fat while improving my cardiovascular health. My resting heart rate is getting lower (yay!) and my heart rate is decreasing more rapidly allowing me to push myself harder every time I work out.

OTF is a great way to get in a full body workout. You get out of it what you put into it. You run (or walk, or can use a bike or strider), row, and do a series of weights that work all your muscles, including your core. You dont need to be athletic to participate, because trust me theres nothing athletic about me. And youll begin to see similar faces the more you go, who go quickly from becoming OTF buddies, that then transition to a tribe that you come to count on in and outside of OTF. Because at the end of the day everyone is after the same goal to be healthy and active.

I love Orange Theory Fitness let me just start by saying! Ive been a member since the McKinney studio first opened a little over 2 years ago. Ive always worked out in some fashion. Some months better than others. My problem was I got bored so easy with the day in and day out tread and weight regimen. Insert Orange Theory! Im obsessed. Honesty, and still after 2 years! I go to the 6:30am classes Monday thru Friday and I also try to do at least 1 day on the weekend. What I love about this workout is basically everything lol.I love the people! Front desk, trainers, co-workout buddys. Everyone is so fun to be around. The atmosphere is very positive. Its like a second home/family to me and Ive made some life long friends.I love the workout! Its ever changing. You will never do the exact same combo. Some days they focus on strength, others include power, endurance and ESP (endurance, strength and power) all rolled into one. They focus on treadmill work, weight room work and rowing machine work. The good part is you have a professional trainer guiding you through your workout the entire class via a headset. Also there is always good music going. If you need any modifications to the workout they are there and ready to help. You can be at any fitness level. On the treads you can be a powerwalker, jogger or runner. Wherever your fitness level is!I can just go on forever and ever but you need to just experience it for yourself. If you are looking for a change call and sign up for a free class! Its been life changing for me 😀 Heidi Ramey~

I was so nervous to start OTF because 1- I was not a runner by any means and 2- I started not knowing a single person there. My nerves were instantly calmed after my first class. The staff was so incredibly helpful and sweet, there were people of all shapes and fitness levels, and they were all so supportive and reassuring. I started out power walking for months and would occasionally get the nerve to run. I never felt awkward or silly if I was walking and surrounded by runners, or if I tried to run for a minute and then realized I wasn’t quite there yet. I have been at OTF McKinney for a little over a year now and get excited to get up and go workout (Never thought those words would come out of my mouth!). I initially joined OTF for the physical benefits. I joined with the hope that a healthier me – cardio strength, muscle tone/strength, stress relief, etc. would help alleviate some of the symptoms I was suffering with a health condition. Not only have I achieved a healthier and much stronger version of me, but I never imagined I would meet such incredible people who have become some of my best friends while supporting one of my passions - giving back to my community. When I started at OTF, it was hard. I always had to ask the coaches to help modify my weight room exercises. They were always willing and able to help me as a beginner. Then, a year ago, I had surgery and had to ease back in. Again, they always paid attention to my needs and made sure I was modifying and doing exercises that were safe. When I started, I was a power walker and was lifting small weight. Today, I am a runner, and in some respects, I am keeping up with people half my age. OTF has helped me achieve my fitness goals. Also, I wholeheartedly believe in giving back to the community. I love that OTF has such a focus on this. To be able to help in some small way simply by checking in for workouts feels amazing. I appreciate giving my $$ and time to a company that holds this as a value. This place is more than a “workout” place. It’s a family - staff, coaches and members (friends really) who encourage each other, urge each other to be better, celebrate wins and successes together, and lift you up when you are discouraged.Im so glad a few friends urged me to overcome my fears and try OTF. Thanks to the studio manager, Sydney, the front desk staff, coaches and members, OTF McKinney is amazing and is the best way I can think of to start my day!

Been going to Orange for almost 6 months. My detailed views so far:- Overall the product is top notch. Do you want to lose weight? Do you want to have a healthier heart? Orange Theory won’t be the only thing you have to change to that end but it WILL significantly help.- Yes you “can” do it on your own. It is HIIT and strength training. But, like me, you probably won’t do it like this all on your own.- Each workout is comprised of the same three things: treadmill, rower and weight station. The treadmills are high end with flex platforms so not hard on your knees and yes you can power walk your workout. The rowers are also high end water rowers.- Workouts are different every day. You won’t know ahead of time and this keeps it new and interesting.- The studio is very cold which is pleasant about 5 mins in and the music is pumping which is great during all outs, especially since you can’t take your phone in.- You are going to pay A LOT for basically a solid workout. The perks end there. Our studio has two bathrooms and two showers. That’s it. Small lockers and a place to put your keys and severely overpriced branded clothing and swag in the lobby. So a couple will pay almost $300 per month for one hour gym access per day.No childwatch, no access to gym outside of class time.- They focus on safety but there is a hard limit to modifications. There is one bike and one elliptical and you have to reserve those in place of treadmill. Weight training involves burpees and BOSU often which are great but not necessarily for “all” fitness levels. Real beginners might want a little more gym experience prior to OT. Or be comfortable “doing your own thing” during some segments.- Heart rate monitors loaned out during your free class are sketchy AF. The ones we purchased have worked about 80% of the time.- You must reserve your class spot. You will get billed if you don’t cancel in time. That’s on top of your regular membership fee. It’s annoying but you won’t miss many workouts. A bad workout is better than no workout.-The studio is small, small, small. the classes are back to back and you can’t go in till your instructor comes to lobby to introduce themselves. Which leads to my biggest complaint about Orange Theory and this particular location in general:You choose where to start your class either rower or treadmill. This particular studio the tenth weight station borders a fire exit so it gets double the floor space of every other space. Since the studios are small and you are on top of your neighbor, understandably the tenth spot is POPULAR.Over time we noticed the “fight” for the treadmill of choice. It’s subtle but as the time draws near the milling about ends as people crowd the door. And after the fun intro by that class trainer it’s a mad dash. People are so rude. Cutting right in front of others who were there 20 minutes before them. The concern was raised with front desk staff to no avail. Not one worker has intervened when people have literally elbowed in front of me.When I raised this issue to the manager of this location it was met with pure condescension. They knew there were options other studios had implemented but it wasn’t an issue at this studio. In response to me saying: IT’S AN ISSUE.Sydney McFarland feels any complaint regarding cutting in front of others is “stupid and petty”.Orangetheory does and will continue to appeal to the fit savvy crowd. But if you are just getting started or are intimidated by your fitness journey, I can’t in good conscience recommend this studio.Front desk personnel are sweet and the trainers are energetic. But it’s not a supportive environment. The class is fast paced the trainer can give some personal attention but only in short bursts because it’s fast intervals. And fellow class attendees are a mix between new and nervous, friend cliques, or seasoned and rude (because well, you gotta be a little it seems) management won’t help. They’ll be just as rude. Poorest of customer service for a very expensive gym.
