We moved in to our apartment at Sorrel last week. Application and lease signing process was smooth, all Thanks to Anthony, he helped throughout the process. 2B2B apartment are spacious, ok for small family. Surrounding is green and grounds are clean.They can slightly improve on communication, like a Note on Day 1 that paint might be wet, and a mail one day before fixing carpets on floor above so that tenant is aware.Overall nice community, if you have pets, you will love it, as they have a dog park.Swimming pool is big, fitness freaks will like the gym.
This apartment complex is amazing. Office staff is very helpful especially London. She is very knowledgeable and very patient. I would recommend this apartment complex whoever is looking in the Frisco area.

This property has gone thru countless management changes in our 3 year time here. The most current change has been the worst. When you have questions or concerns it’s next to impossible to contact anyone. The office is seldom open to talk with anyone in person. The phone doesn’t get answered. Emails are left unanswered.If you’re considering moving here, I’d strongly advise against it.Update: see Community Manager response below. I’ve emailed/called countless times. I’m told you’re not available or my emails simply aren’t responded to.You’re more than welcome to respond to any of my emails or call me directly at your convenience.
Im in the middle of transition to TX and just finalized my lease. Joanne Lopez customer service and professionalism is top notch! She has been extremely helpful in every step of the lease process and prompt in her email responses. Joanne is a true value to the SPCR! A true keeper!
I recently moved to Sorrel apartments.Im very pleased with my new apartment, is really nice, and has met my expectations! The area where Sorrel is located at is really good too, almost everything I need is within a few minutes drive.Taran has been a great guy, very professional, he went above and beyond to make our moving smooth and made us feel welcomed and has made every possible effort to make sure our stay is enjoyable, despite a few minor glitches that he already took care of. Im totally happy here! The whole staff at Sorrel is really nice and professional and the whole complex is really great!
Last Saturday night our air conditioner quit conditioning. We put in a service request Sunday morning hoping for repair on Monday, but Favor (spelling?) came to the door at 9:30 Sunday evening and had the a/c going in twenty minutes. We were sure happy to have cool air again, and VERY happy with the Sunday repair call! Thank you very much!!
Vik S. is very helpful and one of technician I have come across. He has knowledge of everything and is able to fix things in a very short amount of time. He is always willing to help and goes above and beyond expectations to ensure accuracy in the work assigned to him.

Lived there for a year and it was a wonderful experience. It’s in great condition, the neighbors are friendly, and management is always there to help. It’s unfortunate that I had to leave, but if presented the opportunity I would definitely move back in.
Love this complex, just resigned for another year. The team is great, especially Vik S of maintenance. Always making sure we dont need things done in the apartment. Landscaping just got redone as well. Place is the bomb😄

My husband and I recently relocated to Frisco and were looking for a nice apartment complex in a good area. We did not have much time and unfortunately did not visit it before signing a lease. Huge mistake! The nice pictures in their website are not close to the reality of this place. They did not have anything ready for us when we moved, even though we started paying our lease one week before moving. The A/C was not working and we had to put a maintenance request the same day we moved in. The guy who came to fix it ended breaking a pipe that caused a leak in the kitchen and master bedroom, and a third party vendor had to come to fix it. We had to deal with this for the first 5 days living here. We had to chase the administration a couple of days after moving in to give us the gate and mail keys, and the car ports we requested before signing the lease were not ready either. The trash is also a big issue here. There is trash and dog poop everywhere, and people are allowed to keep junk and trash in their patios and balconies. The halls in the apartment buildings are full of leaves, trash and stains, which makes a very bad impression to anyone visiting. There is an old chair that seems to have been left behind by someone under the stairs that lead to our apartment. It was there before we moved and I reported it and no one has done anything about it. We put a request three weeks ago to have our ice maker fixed and are still waiting. I have emailed management and talked to them in person, but they dont do anything about any of the residents concerns. Emails are just ignored and when you talk to them in person its obvious they do not plan to do anything about it. This apartment complex is marketed as a luxury place, but is nothing close to that. I wish we have visited it before signing a lease because we would have ruled it out right away.
Love living at SPCR. I came at the end of March after damage from the winter storm left my previous apartment uninhabitable. I came to SPCR urgently needing a new place to live, and they worked with me and had me all set up and moved in within a week. Maintenance staff has always been quick to respond, and if a return visit is necessary, they follow-up until the issue is resolved. Valet trash service is great. The apartment itself was very clean and cozy at move-in, and the community has always been pleasant. Overall, great place to live!
Had slight trouble applying for an apartment and decided to go to the complex physically. I was helped right away, I was able to see the model unit I was applying for. Beautiful apartments and even more helpful leasing agent. she had a great attitude, was easy to talk to, and extremely helpful throughout the process. Excited to say ill be calling this place home for a while. If you need any help, go to Joanne shes great!!
I am not from here but the leasing consultant Joanne Lopez did an amazing job making me feel right at home. I was enthralled by how clean and quiet everything was. The model apartment was well put together and she was able to answer every question we had and even give us more information that we had not thought of. Ive lived here one year, and I still enjoy SPCR. It has a few issues that I wish were addressed more directly by management, leading to consequences....1) after SEVERAL emails to every tenant regarding the appropriate timing of placing the trash bins out & removing them--there is still non-compliance 2) everyone knows the rules about picking up your dogs poop---there are still tenants that feel the rules do not apply to them 3) some tenants allow their guest to be loud, obnoxious, etc...inconsiderate of peaceful tenants. I am one for minding my own biz, but geesh! As with anywhere you choose to live, theres good and bad. I choose to see the good at SPCR--Its a beautiful complex, the upkeep is well preserved, and I would feel relatively safe if I had to step outside in the middle of the night...for now.

Maintenance is awful and the management is very ruse. The rent was good but that was pre-covid. The location was good but the overall experience here is not good.

I moved in 2 months ago, and love my apartment. Barry did an awesome job facilitating my move. It is a beautiful complex, I feel relatively safe, no major problems thus far. The few quams i have...my upstairs neighbors are soooo inconsiderate, and totally oblivious that they are dwelling above someone. Constantly walking very hard, their kid running constantly--literally, and they play their music loud. I know that is to be expected in apartment living but geesh. And some doggie parents do not pick up after their pets. Other than those few things, its a great complex!
CHECK WITH RENT DEBT TO SEE IF THEY ARE CHARGING YOU FOR A APPLICATION FEE!!! I applied couple of years ago for a apartment with 2 other ppl. We were denied, they sent letters stating why, I moved on (no problem there) All of a sudden myself and my roommates started getting phone calls from rent debt saying we owe an APLICATION FEE of $250! Remember we were denied. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY THE APPLICATION FEE ONLINE UP FRONT in order FOR IT TO PROCESS! Im not understanding what these ppl are talking about? How are they able to send a application fee to debt collectors? The fee has to be paid up front in order for them to run my information! CROOKS, if you have applied here and was denied please call the rent debt bc they may have turned in your information for a false charges.

Bait & Switch. I called about 2 bedroom apartments. I was given a quote for 2 different apartments and scheduled an appointment to come view them. When I arrived, a few hours later, I was told the only 2 bedroom available is on the 3rd floor. The apartments that were discussed with me over the phone are being renovated, she tells me. I was never told anything about renovation over the phone. I got on their website & I see 3 two bedroom apartments that are available by my move in. I asked her about each one & she says they all are being renovated. I asked what type of renovation are they doing. She said they are removing sheetrock. I just don’t understand why this “renovation” was mentioned over the phone. And why does the website allow me to lease an apartment that being “renovated?” Also the prices on their website differ from the prices given over the phone & in person. Something is definitely not right with Sorrel.

Ive enjoyed calling this community home for the last 10 months. Hannah (and her team in the front office) is awesome! Everyone is extremely responsive and any issues brought to their attention are quickly addressed. Great job with this team, Carter-Haston!
Update 07/29/2021:Rent has gone up over the last two and a half years, and the quality of service has bottomed out. Now, no trash is picked up on Fridays or Saturdays, and apparently that extended to Sundays with no communication, so there is a mountain of trash that accumulates at the dumpster starting Friday night which makes the place look and smell like a landfill. Landscaping is almost non existent anymore, with the most Ive seen done in the past year is cutting the grass and trimming (butchering) the trees away from the walk paths. Our A/C went out months ago, which took over a month to fix, and when it started heating up our power bill skyrocketed. Its over $300 for a one bedroom this month, because they set up the new A/C unit incorrectly. Our neighbor paid just over $100 this month, and when our energy co op came out to perform an assessment, they said they had messed up the AC so badly the new unit will burn out before the end of the year, in addition to costing us 3 times more than it should. The place is almost unlivable now, and good luck trying to get them to make up for any of this by reducing rent by a month to compensate for your own out of pocket expenses to try to make the place more bearable. Maybe if they run over your dog or something, barring that youre out of luck. Terrible all around.Since the new management took over there have been eviction notices everywhere you look while walking, new residents of questionable character, who make me afraid for my wife and son being there without me, have been allowed in en masse, and there has been no effort put forth by the new staff members to work with residents or better the facilities.

I have been living in this apartment complex over a yr and half. Shortly after moving in, our new management took over. I waited this long to write a review because I dont like writing negative reviews. I have been plaqued by very loud vibrating noise coming from the vent located over the washer/dryer area. This noise started shortly after I moved in and I made multile trips to the leasing office and complained to the first management. They all seemed confused and puzzled by the cause of the noise, eventually they figured it was the vibration from the washing machine in the apt above mine that was the culprit. Finally! I thought, now I can have peace at last! Or so I thought. They said they fixed it but the noise continued. I have also reported this noise to the new management and they also said theyd fix it. As Im writing this review, that loud vibrating sound just shy of sounding like a jack hammer is still there. I cant hear my television, my young child is terrified of the sound, that noise travels all through this small apartment and occurs at various hours and continues til midnight and sometimes later. Going on two yrs and no quiet!!! None! How long does it take?! Also, as if thats not bad enough, neighbors play loud thumping music at all hours disrupting my sleep. Its ridiculous! Im not happy.

I been a resident for more than 1 year. I do enjoy living here, but I encountered a very unpleasant situation doing my anual renewal. The process only requiered the contract update (all done with automatic email) there was no mentioned of resending other documents like my home insurances, and as a result they charge 2 month for a second insurances and didn’t data anything about it.Other issues I see happens (which I do recognize have gotten better but not yet where it should be) is the dog poop situation. I know management always response whenever I make an inquire about it, but of course the problem persist. I wish management takes better action on this matter vs just cleaning up after every complain. It needs to be part of their basic annual plan and not a problem they try to solve case by case
Laquita Thomas is GREAT! I have called this complex on many occasions and was unable to get simple questions answered. Eventually, I got a hold of Laquita and it’s been great since then.
Lived here since 2016. SAFE and awesome environment! I dont ever have to worry about people breaking into my apartment or car because its gated, and neighbors are respectful and quiet. Staff is extremely friendly, office staff Leah and Lauren and maintenance, Rodney and Isaiah are always helpful. Advice is always accurate and prompt response time. Clean property. Every time Im in the office, Lauren is always smiling, approachable, patient, and happy to help, which is a huge improvement from previous management. They take time out no matter how busy to make sure I am taken care of. Ive had some major life events that have occurred and Leah has always been polite and willing to help, and she has really helped put me at ease when I walk into the office stressed out, so we have a great professional relationship. I have definitely referred several friends over to the property, which I am very proud of! I will most certainly be renewing as soon as my lease expires this summer for a two bedroom!!
Before moving in your apartment check the cabinets and kitchen drawers for bugs. There were these tiny bugs in the kitchen drawers. They had pest control come out. He said they were some type of flour bugs and they should die out in about 2weeks. Are I can have my house bombed!!!! Really I just moved in at the time. Now that COVID is going on, there hardship application is a joke!!! The same rules that already apply is on there hardship application!!!! They are not giving people a break!!!
My husband and I lived here for 2 years, there was constantly trash everywhere, management changed so many times I can not keep track. Moving out, and settling our account has been a hassle. Response time from management has been ridiculously slow. If you do not have to live I would not live here, for what you pay there are much better places in Frisco.

We were referred by a couple of friends, who also live here for the moment.The referral is supposed to be $1000, which they were supposed to give to my friends after 4 months of us residing at Sorrel.6 months pass by and nothing. My friends and even my SO has spoke to management several times. They had promised already twice that our friends would receive the money as credit. But havent so.Recently our friends called the office to ask about their credit and they completely changed their minds, and acted like they didnt know anything about it. And started saying how the person in charge of it didnt even know about.She couldnt find information that we had provided for them in the past and also emails confirming about the referral.We had read many bad reviews before moving here, but decided to go for it anyway because of our friends living here aswell.Bad choice.Management is full of it.-Edit due to managers response. First of all, we never mentioned he was my brother, they are our friends.Second, you are lying, the day after we send our information we spoke to Barry and asked him about his name on the form and he said he would put his name on it. And that it was okay with his name beign on the email. We, and both our friends spoke to you and whoever else works in the office besides Barry and they all confirmed several times that everything was fine and they would get their money. We have all the emails to confirm what im saying.

I came by to tour and everyone in the office was so friendly! the property was so pretty and I really loved the interior of the homes! They informed me of all the resident events they have planned; which I am really looking forward to since I have never lived at a community that offered those types of thing! Also this location is great, its so close tom thumb so getting groceries is no longer a burden, also its not far to 121 or DNT. I cant wait to move to Sorrel!

I just want to give a huge praise to Ashley G. (manager) and the maintenance crew. They were extremely quick to resolve my problem. Ashley made sure my family and I were okay. We were treated with the upmost respect. The maintenance guys came out and were very polite and friendly.
UPDATE 2: With new management in place, things are moving at a much faster pace. Lauren (Property Manager) and facilities director have addressed our AC problem by replacing the unit. Additionally they were very helpful with questions about our lease agreement as well. One thing we have noticed is that they are working really hard to improve the most common sense issues that were ignored by the previous management company. The breezeways look cleaner, the car care center has an actual hose now to make it usable, the property looks and feels clean. It feels like the new management cares for the residents.Update: AC has been broken 4th time in the last 10 days. They can’t get it fixed and they don’t respond to emergency calls either. The management has changed and it is no different than previous company. Run away.Horrible service. The maintenance crew never respond and the office staff can’t do much to help. There is always only one person working in the office. They do not have enough staff to support the community. The place itself is decent and could be an amazing community with competent management. Unfortunately this is not the case. Our AC has been broken for last 4 days and there is hardly any response. I would not recommend this place at all....the apartments themselves are just OK. Carpets have no padding at all. If you are management/owner, don’t give a canned response, instead take concrete action to fix the problem. Future wannabe residents, look elsewhere.
This is a fantastic bargain for $2,200 a month! Just make sure you can swim, the kitchen comes with a pool! I hope you like exercising because after breaking your ankle in 3 places, you get to have 24 months of physical therapy ! The bonus? Instead of hurting 24 hours a day,.It will ONLY HURT 23 HOURS A DAY! Now, thats Progress!!! But, you know what I really love? The beautiful scars it left behind! Rembrandt couldnt have done a better job, right? Sorry, I forgot to name the source / circumstances of that beautiful masterpiece! I must be the luckiest person ever because, well, they ALWAYS save the best for last. I had to wait 3 1/2 months for a response to my maintenance request because there was only ONE maintenance man for over 300 apartments at the time! WOW! HE MUST HAVE BEEN REALLY, REALLY GOOD! ! Arent they sweet? I dont know if Ive ever had anyone be so kind to me! This is my first time writing a review but, if you find it helpful, let me know. I HAVE A LOT OF THINGS TO SHARE!!! In the 2 years I lived here I saw an accelerated rate of turnover at the front office. Until the most recent management group took over, the complex manager and assistant manager (Madison and Preston) were utterly useless. Neither of them appeared to have a clue as to what they were doing (this was when Bell Partners was the management company). They simply went through the motions and checked boxes without actively trying to solve issues. To the new management companys credit, however, I definitely saw an improvement in helpfulness and service in the last few months.Here are some things to bear in mind if youre considering living here:1) The trash situation is out of control. Instead of dumpsters they have a trash compactor that perpetually has 6 tall piles of trash in front of it. It literally looked like we had a landfill on-site.2) Management tried to correct this self-created problem by hiring a trash valet service (which they charge you for - how screwed up is that?). Problem with this is the breezeways are lined with trash cans and garbage all the time.3) Speaking of breezeways, theyre FILTHY. So are the stairways. Never once in the time I lived there did they pressure wash them. I heard the aforementioned assistant manager tell a prospective tenant who questioned this filth that they pressure wash them once a month. This was an outright lie.4) Kitchen construction materials are cheap. Some cupboard doors came loose off their hinges months after I moved in. They wouldnt stand-up to children at all.5) The carpet layers somehow left carpet nails turned upwards in some places. I pierced my foot on these nail on more than one occasion.6) If you order packages from Amazon or any online vendor get ready to PAY for the front office to accept these packages on your behalf. They hired a 3rd party company to manage these deliveries for them. I think its around $30/month. They nickel and dime you to death here.Considering the number of new properties that sprung up in the area over the last few years I would probably take a good and hard look at those before you settle on this place.
This is a personal shout out to the owners about the green belt that they decided to keep! It is a beauty and I love the sense of nature it gives. One complaint as a resident that has been here for awhile. I am upset with the luxury living aspect of your marketing as I feel you inadequately provide those accommodations. I feel it only appropriate that this community with its scenic views and prime reality location should be up-kept as one. The hallways are filthy and never receive the attention they so dearly deserve to maintain the “clean” appearance you display. On a side note while pertaining to the original idea of this review, if you do not want to cough up the dough for additional waste management dumpster/compactor unit(s), the least you could have done was provide an effective waste management option. Your compactor proves on a weekly basis ineffective at providing the service. It limits if not entirely takes away of a potentially scenic and peaceful moment in respective for personal viewing and a breach of community standards of appearance which residents would be cited for but thankfully you only have to worry about the city which has already fined you on occasions related to your waste management pileup and trust me I mean pile up. There has been no answer or resolution for this issue and when asked about hallway cleanliness activities or schedulings management responded with a once a year response which is entirely unsatisfactory. It is not Hannah’s fault as I have realized it is simply the uncaring and profit driven mentality of the ownership/management service that is assigned to these premises. We are literally surrounded by competitors that do upkeep there facilities far more vigorously and routinely. Prices here are quite fair for the market which may be their rebuttal of the lack there of of the previously mentioned items. On a last positive side note, the new maintenance supervisor has been excellent and an overall improvement to the community.
Best Apartment Complex Ive ever lived in! The complex is always super clean and nicely landscaped, and the staff (Ansley, Ashley, Brittany, to name a few) are extremely nice and very helpful as well. They always brighten my day when I go up to the leasing office to get coffee,pick up a package, play pool or shuffleboard, or work on the computer in the awesome business center they have. I would definitely recommend these apartments to anybody who is looking for a new place to live that comes with all kinds of great benefits and amenities!
I have lived here over 3 years and love it! Very affordable and a great complex and my neighbors are very nice too. The leasing agents, especially Ashlee and the maintenance team have been great! ;)
Currently living at Sorrel and absolutely love it here. I have seen a huge improvement from the office ever since Bell took over and looking forward to signing another lease with them. You guys are awesome!
We just renewed our lease after being here 15 months. Great place to live! Maintenance and entire facility has greatly improved since new management.
Lived here for a year from Mar 2017 to Mar 2018. Overall, not that bad a place to stay as it has easy and quick connectivity with Sam Rayburn Tollway and offices in Plano are also less than 15 minutes.Property management and customer service is pathetic, yet they bother you mostly in the first week of month, so 75% of the month you don’t care about it. Though I got an eviction notice under my door once as I was on vacation to NY and they don’t prefer technology, so no emails or messages, but the property manager said it’s not a concern to clear the dues by 8th, still it was a shock.Pet owners have better options with a dog park inside the property.For kids, we used to go to nearby trails and parks.
So my boyfriend and I got evicted for non payment of rent because he just got diagnosed with cancer. We were told we had to pay a sum of over $3,000 and i offered $2,000 and to pay the rest in a few days. They said no. Funny thing is, we get to court and they ask the judge for $1400, none of the back rent they say we owe due to their accounting error. I HAD that money. I had over $1400 to pay them. When we get to court and we explain our situation to the judge he asks the property manager if she is willing to work with us and gives the judge a flat NO. Well, we are working with the legal department at the American Cancer Society to get back part of the so-called past due monies that we paid and the discrepancies in court. I hope that we see the property manager back in court soon. Also, ever since Village Green has taken over there is trash everywhere, loud music all the time, dog feces everywhere. For a so called Premiere Frisco Community its an overpriced joke. Stay away at all costs. We wished we had. Lesson learned.
Unresponsive staff for the most part. They will definitely smile and be friendly when you are in the office, and thats after you stand there and wait for someone to notice you are in the office. The breezways are disgusting. Covered in spiders, webs, egg sacks, wasps nests, and an abnormal amount of dirt and dust. Not to mention all the trash. Someone vomited on the stairs. I asked if they could hose it down. That was 2 months ago. Never happened. Now theres dried vomit on the stairs. There is also dog poop everywhere.No one ever answers the phone. Had to call 10 times back to back before someone answered. Ive been very patient as far as maintenance goes because its pretty clear they are understaffed, but I havent had a dishwasher since I moved in, and they just got around to being proactive about it last week. I was definitely trying to be positive, but If I had the option, I would definitely move.
I have lived in the Metroplex for over 45 years. During this time, I have lived in various apartments and high rises- many of them rated as 5 star rated. That said, the Sorrel has been the best place I have ever lived. The staff is fantastic!. Yes, there are great amenities, but this would not matter if it were not for the terrific people that manage and operate this community. My family and I are living here until we purchase a home. Although, we will be happy when the day comes that we purchase our new home, we will also be sad that we are leaving a fantastic community that is operated with professionalism, wrapped in kindness and a caring attitude displayed by the entire staff. We are truly blessed to be living in such a fine apartment community.
Lived here since April 2016. I havent had any issues like those that have given negative reviews. The amenities are great and staff has been great even when they made changes. I love the layout of my two bedroom apt. Everything is nice and new....and clean! They may have had a few hiccups here and there but so far the staff has been attentive to the residents needs and quick to try and solve any issues....at least thats been my experience so far
We LOVE these apartments. they are clean, smell nice, layed out really conveniently and the pool is amazing. We love Pamela she is so nice and was great to work with when going through the process to move in. She is always willing to help us out with anything we need and goes above and beyond to make sure we are happy and taken care of. the rest of the staff is always friendly and it makes living here relaxing and fun. if I could rate it a 6 star I would!
I Have been living here for a while now and the quality of services have definitely deteriorated. This is no longer a place with proper maintenance and office staff.I can recollect multiple rude encounters with the office staff in the last 15 days not sure why the new management is apathetic to the residents concerns. It takes me more than 10 phone calls to reach themI do not suggest this place for someone looking to move in
