I would have given a-5 stars but the app wiuldnt let me. Fresno county child support phone agents are a joke. They give you wrong information lie to you just to get you off the phone. This place of home wiekers need more training so the can be on the same page. If you have child support issues call anyone but fresno.

3rd time trying to call today. They keep hanging up on me.

I understand we are going through a pandemic and there’s a lot of regulations they need to follow. But it’s nearly been a year and they can’t develop a functional system. With all the money that California is paying their employees, you think they’ll do their job properly. Shameful.

Im a single father of six. And this place has done nothing for me but put me in more debt this place is literally custom made for moms but us single dads keep getting screwed this place should be closed

Faster service then expected

11 years. Have already been to court and Child Support has been established and wage withholding in place.. Now if the ex’s place of employment would just stop playing games and pay in a timely manner.. May have to go back to Court soon if the games don’t stop. But Child Support have so far returned phone calls in a timely manner and schedule court dates pretty quickly..

Very rude and unprofessional.For example:Previously we had paperwork showing that the ex was the absentee parent (or Non-Custodial Parent depending on the paperwork) in our 50/50 custody case which had required her signature on the paperwork. However, when the ex came and filed changing it despite no change in our custody order (violating said custody order about making legal changes without consent of the other parent), they accepted it WITHOUT my signature or even contacting me and treated me later not just as the the Non-Custodial Parent in a 50/50 case, but as if I were a deadbeat dad trying to get out of paying child support... All because she violated our court order and verbal agreements (and yes she DID admit that in court yet the judge looked the other way because of her being female).Then later, because she was erroneously receiving Cash Assistance (ripped off my Social Services case and eventually Social Services Judge read Fresno County the riot act for having done it) Child Support Services took me to court to force me to pay the county back. In the court room, the Child Support rep literally said in a snarky I-got-him-now tone, Your honor, we only have Mr. _____ word on the fact that he has true 50/50 custody... unless he brought his custody paperwork with him. The judge and I shared a look as she apparently had seen it too... IN THE CHILD SUPPORT PAPERWORK it stated that I had 50/50 custody. I didnt even NEED to prove it as their own paperwork provided that information. However, I am not an idiot and I did bring my custody paperwork and I also was polite in offering a copy to the Child Support rep while also stating, Well, actually, you have my custody order on file and it would be a simple and prudent matter to look it up before a hearing; however here is a copy of it for you if you need it. She back peddled a bit but was still the rudest ever representative for Child Support Id ever met. Literally accusing me of being a deadbeat dad despite having the kids 50% of the time and being the only parent taking the kids to the doctor, dentists, school events, even giving my son his medicine, the ex moving out with the man whom the kids have an ex-parte against for accusing him of assaulting them, etc. Yet, somehow, I was still the bad parent to them for doing the right things?

THIS COUNTY OFFICE, ALONG WITH THE COURTS THAT FEED THEM, IS AS CLOSE TO A GOVERNMENT RUN MAFIA AS YOU CAN GET. EVEN THE IRS IS BETTER AND LESS OMINOUS. THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THE SACRAMENTO COLLECTIONS AGENCY IS DOING, SO THEY FU@% UP EVERYTHING. I HAVE HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF HAVING TO MAKE SOMEONE WISH THEY DIDNT WORK EVERY 4 MONTHS OF THE LAST 12 MONTHS. THERE IS A SERIOUS AND SAD REASON WHY THEY HAVE SECURITY AND GLASS SEPARATES YOU FROM ALL WORKERS. THEIR TOO FAR REACHING POWER AND AUTHORITY MAKES DARTH VADERS DARK SIDE SEEM LIKE A NIGHT AT THE DISCO. IF THE GODFATHER HAD A COUNTY JOB, THIS WOULD BE HIS PLACE!

Place itself was cool on a hot day receptionisrs were very friendly. it was hard to find ramps for walker and wheelchair accessiblity

One of the most useless organizations Ive ever come in contact with, both the courts and the DCSS workers who sit behind cubicles and salivate at how much money they can take from you. They dont care about fathers, they dont care about the truth. People lie through their teeth in mediation and in open court but DCSS cares not. They simply want your money and if you fight for your rights, they will try and punish you. This agency in conjunction with the family support division courts are designed to punish the working father. They deserve ZERO stars.

Ill give them three stars. If youre on welfare...they will jump through hoops to help you. Even create a few fake things so that an order is put in place. Although that goes for all DCSSs. But if youre not a welfare momma... dont expect them to do anything. And if they say they are, they are lying. Its all about funding and State reimbursements. But thats for another time. And if you are a man who does what they are supposed to do...they will attempt to turn you into a deadbeat (for profit) meanwhile letting the real deadbeats do nothing. But again that all goes back to welfare. And always remember and never forget.... It goes against public policy to order a custodial parent to obtain employment. They can live off welfare and/or child support. I guess only the taxpayers, non welfare parents, and NCPS are required to provide financial support.

Okay for most guys theyll say, oh hell no.Yes they can take your money, sieze your bank account, take your license and charge interest on money you owe because you dont have a job.BUT if you come in here with a good attitude, take a shower, wear a suit and brush your teeth and bring a smile, youll get great service.I came in here literaly broken. Lost my job, checking account frozen, drivers license suspended, going through an almost 3 year divorce. When I left I felt listened to and respected and I had solutions.VIVIANA, the case worker is a beautiful YOUNG woman who basically told me, well if you open your mail, read it, come in, instead of waiting 9 months, we can help you. Insert beautiful smile.Thank you for helping me, being patient, listening to my long but TRUE story and making me smile.DCSS, this Woman needs a raise and train other folks in there on how to smile beautifully.

Absolutely corrupt! I have been dealing with a case where the court made a ruling of payments greater than 50% of my income. I cant pay all of it and still have basic needs; food, water, shelter. DCSS has since emptied my retirement funds; 401k and bond tax shelters (Roth IRA). This was money I paid in before marriage before Kids and something to protect my future self. I cannot keep money in a bank account for that is subject to being levied against. Any money I do make from any job goes straight to DCSS. I have no truck (commercial truck) because that also has been repossessed by DCSS, no house cant afford it; not even an apartment. Business license and drivers license is next to go away. DCSS has one goal destroy Dads rights, remove men from the equation of parenting. Once in the spiral the only way out is to grovel at the feet of DCSS for the egregious wrong of having a male appendages. Why!? My kicker to this is that when I had custody of my two children my ex refused to pay for two years. DCSS nullified her arrears after the children returned to her custody through corrupt court process ( her lying in court multiple times and was caught but not punished for it). Thank you DCSS you have now made another homeless Veteran; I am proud to have protected the right to be corrupt (sarcasm).

Although Im not a huge fan of Fresno DCSS, as a non welfare case.... I would say Fresno DCSS employees (case worker) has been extremely helpful with regard to two separate agencies (same case) sending a letter of demand for false arrears in an NCP case. I can also say without any doubt and personal experience Fresno is above many LCSAs. Madera is ratchet and assists in welfare fraud. Sacramento is huge on orders against a non bio paternity case when welfare is involved and even when the mother and bio paternal family posts who is the real daddy on social media. And Sutter county is all about money laundering by using IWOs for fake arrears. Stay on top of your cases as NCPs and non welfare CPs. Thats basically it. Good luck!
