Was calling to get an estimate on a repair and was trying to explain to the guy, that one of the parts I bought already because of specific reason and he said we wont do those repairs and said bye before I could explain and hung up. The reason I bought that part was it was a factory exact replacement and if you dont use that specific one and buy a cheap auto parts store part it wont last the year and could damage more parts due to the part not being machined perfectly on the cheap parts. If he wouldve let me finish i was going to tell him he could use his parts on the rest of the steering system so hed still make a profit but I guess hed rather lose a profitable job over a $40 part I bought

My auto story in a nutshell. I own two vehicles that are close to 30 years old and both have had trouble passing smog, however I keep them due to a sentimental attachment. And more importantly I always consult with the Postoyan family here at this shop as to what could be wrong and I always get a simple explanation as to what could be wrong before choosing to proceed with repairs. When my 1993 Celica GT had issues passing Vrej Postoyan said we should check the EGR valve first and after cleaning it the car passed the Smog test. Then my 1988 Ranger XLT failed the smog test, Postoyan Senior (father) checked out the car as it was running with a mechanics stethoscope and said I had a problem with my valves. They took off one head, had it machined and after putting it back on it passed with flying colors and I no longer had a ticking noise in the engine while running.Long Story short, I trust these guys and you should too!
