Management has been very helpful and professional. It’s my 2nd year in Rexford and in every sense me and my family are very happy living here and didn’t had any sort of bad experiences. I want to specially thank the Maintenance staff who have been very active and attentive on time whenever needed in urgency. I want to mention Hector Macias the maintenance staff, he is very friendly and polite with the tenants and worker like him is a big blessing to this property. Overall 5/5

BED BUGS! Please do not rent here I dont wish this on anyone. Living with everything in plastic boxes. The leasing office will change fumigation dates on you. They lack communications and they do not talk about how serious this issue is in their building. Whatever the price is it is not worth it. Please find better place.

I am renewing my lease for the 3rd year in a row and I am happy to say that although there has been a big turn around in the Management the Property Managers now are way better than previous. I have 2 kids that were 3 and 4 when I moved in not the best to have on the 3rd floor level but the management at the time didnt care to show me any other options. Had this not been the best location between my husbands job and mine we would have turned away. We are originally from NY so the 1 train display in the office and the feel of the elevators made us feel at home.My years here have been eventful with my downstairs neighbors as they are not kid friendly people. They threatened to call the cops on us and have for 2 years tried to get us kicked out of here but the Management has been so amazingly sensitive to us as this is a FAMILY ORIENTED PROPERTY and if you dont like or want to be around kids, this isnt a home for you. I cannot apologize and thank them enough. The Maintenance crew is so friendly and attentive. They keep this place as tip top shape as they can. Which brings me to why I put 4 Stars instead of 5. A lot of the residents here are careless when it comes to being clean in the public areas and that isnt fair to others that are extremely respectful nor is it fair to the maintenance crew who clean up after us. They are hard working and the least we can do is throw things in the trash, not leave food, shoes anything in the common areas of the buildings or the stairwells. It is not only gross but it is unsafe.I am happy to stay another year here with my family.P.S. We are finally moving out from above the couple we tortured for 2 years. :)

I would like to share my experience moving in Rexford. It is a very conveniently located gated community with amenities like washer/dryer/dishwasher/microwave within units. The front office management is very friendly. Sonia is extremely helpful and she made the paper-work go very smoothly. Entire process was very quick and keys were handed over in just 3 days after completing all formalities.I am very thankful to Sonia for making the move-in a pleasant experience.

Great location in downtown Fremont. Apartments are spacious with large closets. Maintenance is responsive and does a good job keeping up with this place. Jorge is very knowledgeable when it comes to appliance repairs. After my dryer stopped working on a Friday afternoon, Jorge came in the same day, replaced a tiny fuse from the back of the dryer and in less than 30 minutes I had my clothes drying again. On the downside, the office staff is very unstable. New personnel every 3 or 4 months.

We are renting this place since February 2017, every year we renewed since then because the community is spacious and fairly well maintained, I even left a good review since I could not see why this property was so poorly reviewed until this year when we have to interact with the Rexford Fremont property management. We have new neighbors since the beginning of this year and they are smoking weed sitting in the backyard which enters right into our home from the patio door and through the master bedroom window/AC vent. We have a new born and 3.5 year old children at home who is at risk of passive smoking.Since May 2020 when we first requested Rexford Fremont property manager (Elia) to help us out, we have reached out to her for almost 7 times (have emails for backup), every time she says she has reached out to them but after few days this issue continues again. Although inconvenient to consider a move, we even requested her to check if there is an option to move to a different unit within the property, she said we can either upgrade to 3 bedroom or downgrade. We agreed to check out 3 bedroom units, when she gave us a tour she said the rents are running at 3250$ and we have agreed for that, the same day she called and changed her statement saying we have to give a months notice and for the next month, the rent charges would start at 3400$. These charges were not even listed in the website for the next month, we even requested her to consider our situation since we have kids at home and cannot even break our lease and go else where for the next 8 months but she said she checked with her manager and cannot consider our request for immediate move as a special case! After this incident our neighbors have now started smoking indoors and since out heater unit and bathroom units are attached we are getting the smoke directly into our home and master bedroom now. Our kids sleep in the same room and since the past 4 days every night around 2 am there is intense smell of smoke/weed in our master bedroom and bathroom! we do not have an escape but to be a passive smoker and put not only our health but the health of our children at risk!Last time we called to report to the property manager @ Fremont rexford, she spoke in a very abusive way and threatened us saying we are causing trouble to our neighbors!!We are already paying 3100$ for our 2 bed 2.5 bath townhome, paying 200$ extra and moving to a different unit is not a big deal but what is abhorrent is the absolute carelessness the property manager has towards the health of their residents and taking advantage of our helplessness to overcharge us to move to a different unit. I honestly have no belief that calling at the above number will help us reach someone who will take care of the issue, hence writing it here on Google reviews so people can be aware of this before deciding to move here.PLEASE KNOW BEFORE MOVING HERE THAT THE MANAGEMENT AT FREMONT REXFORD DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR RESIDENTS AND ARE ONLY CONCERNED ABOUT MAKING MONEY BY HOOK OR CROOK!PLEASE BE READY TO BE OK TO PUT YOURS AND YOUR KIDS HEALTH AT RISK IF YOUR NEIGHBOR IS A SMOKER SINCE THE MANAGEMENT IS IN ABSOLUTE AGREEMENT THAT THEY CAN SMOKE IN THEIR PROPERTY EVEN IF THE SMOKE ENTERS INTO YOUR PROPERTY!

Nice place to live, We love staying here. The managers that are there now are amazing, they actually listen and take the time to resolve your problem. The only downfall I would say is that the gates are really old and they break down often and the leasing agent. Shes rude and has no customer service skills at all. I believe her name is sonine or sonia. Other than that I love this place. I highly recommend this place!

If there is an option, I would give them zero star. All the people in this property management office are rude and unprofessional. I am the future tenant, their slow response (Rose & Anthony) cause me unable to complete my application eventually, can you believe that they didnt accept the e-signature on the leasing contract (Yes, its you! Rose, you told me that I must send back the hard copy and no scanned or e-version accepted, but on the other hand, Chris told me that he could accept the scanned contract)? We were told in the last minute (by Rose) that we need to provide this and that, also we need to return THE BLACK & WHITE SIGNATURE on the leasing contract (the future tenant was not based in the USA, we were notified by Rose on Friday 11/2 and she requested us to return the HARD COPY of contract on 11/4, ridiculous) otherwise we were unable to secure the monthly rate ($2795) they offered. I told them that I could submit those doc by next Monday 11/5 as the applicant was not based here but they refused! Then why did I need to fill out the online application to secure the rate? I paid all the application fee, background check fee, I committed to rent the place. I just cant believe that nowadays people were not willing to provide flexibility. They just want to give you a hard time to not getting the rate they promised!! Afterwards, I check online and realized that so many people complain this property management (both yelp & google) no wonder why! Its a fact! So I may say I am so lucky to get know that before committed to stay there!

No wonder everybody has given such negative reviews about this community, they truly deserve it. All the feedbacks regarding their staff’s behavior seems to be true, I was planning to move to Fremont so I sent 2 enquiries to Rexford in the last week and did not hear back from them even once. Other communities have sent their response immediately but I am still waiting for these guys to respond. If that’s their ignorance towards a potential future tenant I am not surprised they treat their existing tenants rudely. It’s a big NO from me for this community.

I have two reviews to make...The apartment community: Super clean and generally friendly, thus far everything seems to be working out nicely and our neighbors are actually super nice. Apartment area is clean and well situated, renovations seemed to have been done on the place so it looks pretty new and has been redone to look pretty clean. I have not noticed any issues with pests or otherwise around the complex either and they are dog friendly which is a big thing for me. I would give the complex a 5 star based on that...BUT...The management is a completely different run. They are hilariously disorganized, they have no centralization of their information so I spoke w/ three different people and had my information sent to all of them. Instead of having the information sent to a location where the management can access the information easily, they ended up temporarily losing my information in their systems basically because they couldnt access someones email. After we finally got all of the information together it turns out that they did not seem to have read my application at all because they did not put my dog on the lease. Even though I very explicitly listed in my application that there was going to be a dog. I proceeded to then have to jump through their loops to get everything sorted out and have since been rushed for the paperwork and deposit + pet rent for the month, even though, at the time of signing my lease for the apartment I was told that I was not going to be charged for pet rent for the first month because of their clerical error. I would give them a higher rating overall but I think that the level of disorganization in the office is pretty bad, and it can really make everything far more challenging than it needs to be.After I posted this review, I returned home to my apartment that day after work. I came home to a notice on my door explaining to me that I was not fully insured and that they were going to be assessing a monthly fee in order to ensure that I and my roommate were fully covered, this letter was signed from Eddie, the current property manager. The issue here is: I WAS REQUIRED TO BE FULLY COVERED BEFORE I MOVED INTO THIS APARTMENT AND BEFORE I EVEN SIGNED THE LEASE. I returned to the office, and to her credit, Elia, another FPMG employee double checked my file and confirmed for me that I was indeed fully covered, and told me that I could disregard that notice. As I was having this conversation, Eddie returned to the office and listened to me explaining me frustrations to Elia and then proceeded to go to his office (which has glass windows) and GLARE at me through them as I finished making my complaint and explaining my frustration with the situation. I am going to be filing a complaint for retaliation in this matter, Eddies professional conduct was 100% inappropriate and I will be speaking to his manager and any others that I need to so that I can see action taken, I would have ignored this matter, or perhaps let it slide had it not come up so soon after I made this review. The management group continues to demonstrate poor communication, they request correspondence via email but make no attempts to reply in a timely fashion, even when issues are time sensitive. Highly unprofessional.

Dont join in this apartments . Management of this apartments needs money from people they send you fine for twice a month . They will say u that u have bugs in your room and they do bugs spray for once a week but the bugs will never die by the end of the month they will send you fine amount . If u say them that the bugs are still live they will again send a notice to pay the fine so that they can proceed to bugs spray . If u get any maintenance problem they will never over come with the problem . There will be a fitness room in apartments but if u open the doors of fitness room there will be nothing in that room . The swimming pool water always looks black and there is no hot water in pool and these apartment dont have any spa . If u see any notice from the management they say u Rexford is a clean and green community if u see Rexford its looks like a trash community and these community have a lift which never works My best suggestion for u is dont join in this community and get a head ach with this management

I visited this complex recently while looking for an apartment in Fremont. I have noticed that complex has been recently refurbished and they are trying to keep up with high standard Fremont’s complexes. Still a lot to do. Elevator broke when I was going out after seeing the apartment. Not a good sign. But what really discouraged me from renting was something different. Manager was showing me the complex when one of the tenants approached him and asked about maintenance. The manager in a really rude way responded that he is busy and with someone at the moment. I wouldn’t like to be treated like this if I would rent in Rexford.

Moved in recently. Decent experience so far, Leasing office has been supportive. The leasing procedure is paper agreement only, time consuming to fill all those forms.Update: I will complete 2 years at Rexford coming Dec. To sum up, for my family the overall experience has been pleasant, safe and peaceful. The management has been prompt with service requests. Downside is the utilities cost (100 bucks monthly) and the leasing office construction work which seems to be taking forever.

The property management is struggling to be efficient and is consistent with their struggles.First of all, they are harsh on implementing their rules but not capable of providing the services for which they charge. eg: Community charges for features like gated community but they have non-functional gates for more than 2 months.Secondly, the whole time the staff is doing terrible mistakes and trying to learn getting acquainted with their internal processes.Thirdly, they do not respond to the emails and most staff members do not have access to their internal email. They provide reason as waiting for some other person to respond as they dont have access to open request worked by someone else in their staffFinally, It took almost 45 days to execute their leasing process. I have been leasing for most of my life and never had such horrible experiences in any nearby community in Bay Area, San Jose.AND THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AT ALL.

Just advice to residents, please display visible parking tag all the times in your car. My car involved in an accident on highway and I bought rental car and i forgot to exchange parking tag from my old car, and that night my car is towed from my reserved parking slot and had to pay $400 to get my car back next day as morning when i got ready to go to office realized that my car is missing from my parking spot and had to call local police and towing company to get to know that they towed my vehicle and have to pay fee to get my car back. I have missed office that day and had to pay hefty penalty to get car back. No one going to really help you in this situation as I tried many ways and I have to pay the fee to get my car back. Towing guys always look out for cars with out tag to cash the situation and they tow midnight so that no one can interrupt them.Update: Hi Rexford team, Thank you for showing concern and feeling sorry for this incident. I contacted Leasing office staff a month ago but they are not aware of any of your intentions to help me out and please let me know whom should I contact as I am ready to discuss on this as my wife is 7 months pregnant at the time of accident and needed to go to emergency to make sure mom and baby okay and got rental car after that and in middle of many things forgot to keep parking sticker in new rental car and out of nowhere car is disappered next day morning when I got ready to go to office and I had to undergo another trauma on that day and skipped office on that day and pay hefty price to get car back. I really want to discuss with owner of the property on my situation who really can understand my pain and what could have been done to ease my situation on that day and I am hoping no one will undergo the same pain i experienced. Please let me know whom i can discuss.

I haved lived at the Rexford going on 7 years. My rating encompasses past and present. Will save much for another time or if people want to know; will say I can verify many of the miseries mentioned the the reviews. Most importantly is the continuous rudeness and turnover of the staff over many years. Vehicles have outrageously been towed (our family out over$2000). Been in 2 apts and can say, however, I have never had a problem with pests. The grounds are lovely and nice to walk a small pet. Cant say enough about the maintenance team: Jorge, Jose, Freeman, Hector - all top notch and super helpful!Kudos so far to new office team!!! They are so pleasant and genuine!! Had a lovely experience the other day when I found myself with a resident corgi escapee. Knew the pup, but was not sure where he lived. No one around late sunday. Nowhere to turn but the office; with a bit of trepidation (Had only met Colton at this point), went to office with off leash pup. I knew he was friendly in case he got a negative reception. He burst into the office and I was delighted that he was recieved with joy! Really. Colten played with him. Two other women - will get there names- immediately started helping. One calling tenants trying to locate owner another helping get water ect. No one annoyed. Wow. A new one for the Rexford. Maybe they are getting the staff situation right.

DO NOT RENT HERE!! Here is a list of things their rental agents wont tell you. By the way, Nick Cobb, who gives 5 star rating below, is one of their rental agents.1. Dirty, dirty place! It only looks nice from the outside. There are bedbugs in the carpet and cockroaches running between the gap of kitchen cabinets. The apartment smells bad. The elevator wall is CARPET, and it smells like stinky feet inside. The hallways carpet is so filthy that you cannot tell the original color.2. Noisy. The leasing agents will tell you the neighborhood is quiet. This is true only during daytime. The high school stadium cross the street has after school football and cheerleading training, and games every week. They play loud music and speaker broadcast. You cannot do anything but only wait for the game to finish.3. You may lose your package. The mailbox is very small, so the postman has to leave big packages in the leasing office. I lost a package at their leasing office. The leasing agents didnt care, and only said they were not responsible for any missing packages.4. Sewage backup problems from old plumbing system. Some first floor units have sewage backup sometimes. Without any notice, the apartment shut off the water in the whole building for several hours. It happened several times after I moved in.5. The elevator is tiny and broken every month. The elevator probably is as old as these buildings and breaks too often. It once stopped working for two weeks. Its too small to fit anything bigger than a twin bed. If you have larger furniture that need to move upstairs, you have to use stairs.6. Too many doors to get in and out, your family and friends probably dont like to visit you because the premises is not easy to come in and get out, and parking is limited. All the entries are gated and all the buildings are locked. Although the rental agents tell you the doors are for security, the reality is that I saw people without keys just follow the residents here enter the building all the time. From time to time strangers knocked on my apartment door for soliciting or donation. They told me that I would get free newspapers for the donation, but I never got any newspaper because the newspaper delivery person could not get in without gate keys.7. The bedrooms in the top floor get really hot during summer time. The bay areas hot summer time is getting longer and longer in recent years. This complex only has AC installed in living rooms, so the top floor bedrooms get really hot. Sometimes it feels like an oven.I wish I had known these things before I moved in, and I would have definitely changed my decision of moving here.
