Need your jewelry repaired? Look no further! Seriously! He was beyond nice! I’ve have a necklace that the clasp came a bit loose and he stopped what he was doing to work on it. What’s more, he said don’t worry about the cost! I was so upset with myself that I didn’t have cash on me to give him a tip, but I hope in some way this review helps. I will definitely be bringing back any of my jewelry here.
My necklace was repaired very fast. Will definitely return here if I need to again!
Having Peters knowledge and reliability is a godsend. He accurately diagnosed my watch battery issue and also took out some links on my 100$ Fossil. His real time to shine was when he set a cross given to me by my mother before she passed and did great work making sure the necklace never breaks, sure its not jewelry but he went above and beyond to make sure my keepsake never leaves me.All and all Pete does great work on a consistent basis; he has my business for sure!
Really great price and fast service. I broke a pin on my bracelet for my watch. He replace it and it works as good as new.
I have known Peter for many years, as a customer of my employment, a friend and a customer if his business. This can be a personal reference or a business reference - you decide. I will say this about Mr. Kim, he is hard working, honest and exceptional at what he does. He will do his best to give you a fair, competitive and honest assessment of your issue. Once he has determined the issue and agree on a fix, Peter will diligently work to solve the issue in a timely fashion. If he can not solve the issue, Peter will communicate the why and provide an alternative solution, if there is one available.I work with golf clubs and counterfeit clubs. Trust me, It is difficult to explain to a customer when the item is not actual original product but, hey that is todays world of saving money. I .know, I had a item that was a clone and he expressed that when he saw it. It did not sound right when he first told me but I gave him my complete attention and It all made sense after. If you have a issue with Peter, give him the respect and listen to him and you might find yourself giving a review such as the one your reading.Peter is a honest business man whos family is active in the operation and you will find one of them always there. The Kims are good people who study the operations of jewelry and repair on a daily basis, to keep up with the who, what, when and how of the local competition. They will treat you like a professional, customer and guest if you give them the time to communicate with the respect they deserve. If you are reading this review and understand why it was written with 5 stars - you will not hesitate to visit Peters Jewelry & Watch Repair for your issues.Sincerely,Randolph Knupp, PGA
Brought in a Dutch antique Frisian Stoeltjesklok in March for cleaning. We were told told it would take two months. No problem. We did not hear from anyone for several months and I stopped by in August to inquire. I was told he is having a hard time finding a part and to give him some time. We finally heard in December that he wasnt able to fix it and we should come pickup the clock. When we arrived the clock was still in pieces. He asked ME if I knew how to reassemble it and hurriedly tried to reassemble it on the fly. At some point I just wanted him to stop touching my clock, he clearly didnt know how to reassemble the clock he had taken apart. We ended up leaving in disgust with my valuable antique clock in three boxes. I am now forced to send the pieces to the Netherlands in hopes of repairing at a skilled clockmaker it for several thousand dollars. All I originally wanted was a cleaning, I dont understand why he needed parts. BTW I searched parts for Stoeltjesklok online and found a vendor within 1 minute. This is what happens when you trust your clock to a total hack.
Peter has always taken care of me. He is extremely knowledgeable, not only with my high end watches but even my cuckoo clock. When i have watch/clock problems hes my guy. Highly recommended.
I have always taken my jewelry to Mr. Peter! His work is always excellent with a great price. I greatly recommend his business. Thanks Jaden
The hands of my watch were knocked loose. They were able to reset the hour and minute hands but not the second hand. They also lost the second hand so now I have to send the watch to the manufacturer to get it properly repaired.
Overall great experience. Repaired my watch quickly and efficiently at a great price.
My last review was 5 star, it was a mistake. Recently he replaced the crystal on my watch. This watch can go over 10 feet under water. When I went to clean it under the faucet the face fogged up. I went back to him and showed him that the crystal was protruding. He said Theres nothing I can do about it your not supposed to clean it like that, youll have to send it to Citizen How absurd is that! Ive been cleaning this watch like that for 17 years and it never fogged up. If you go there for anything you may be Fogging Up.
Peter is my go to guy for all my watch repairs. Very professional and great service. I highly recommend Peters Jewelry Repair in Spotsylvania Mall.
Got in got out under 15 bucks, Pete was quick and even set my watch to the correct time. Ill head back any time I need work done on my watch a sturling skull watch that you can see through
Had my watch repaired and battery replaced in record time. Awesome customer service!! I highly recommend!!!
Terrible customer service that doesnt know what they are doing. Brought an electric heirloom mantle clock in for repair and they asked if it was electric (the cord and plug might have been a clue there) and when I said yes, they not only said they do not work on these, they said that they knew of no one who does. Ever heard of Google, folks?
Took my Movado in for routine battery replacement. Told me it was $30.00 dollars. A bit high, but I agreed. He put my $500.00 Movado on the bench and broke the lugs. His response was Was this plastic? Should have been metal! Really? He is now in the process of sending it back to Movado to have it repaired. Its not my fault you broke my Movado. Why should I have to wait for you to send it to the manufacturer? I want my watch. I will update this review when my watch is fixed or replaced. Also, terrible attitude. Almost like it was my fault and that I should be ecstatic that hes taking time out of his busy schedule to send my watch out. Sorry, its not a favor. Its your job.*****update*****3 weeks later I finally get my watch back. He called me and said....This is Peters your watch is ready. You owe me $29.95 for battery replacement......really? I owe you $29.95 for a $6.00 battery that you had to literally insert into the movement while the back was off? You repaired my watch that you broke, but somehow I am leaving your shop paying labor to put a battery in that you broke trying to get the back off of? Literally snapped my lugs while on the press! You lost a customer. The decent thing would have been to charge me for the battery and apologize. Unbelievable.
Best service ever!!! My watch was fixed and ready in mins ...amazing work !!
As stated by others, this place had terrible customer service.I brought in my watch that had a broken screw on the wristband. As soon as I walked in he seemed to be annoyed I was there to have him repair my watch. He said he couldnt fix it and suggested I send it back to the manufacturer. We ended up fixing ourselves the next day.I dont recommend him and will not return.
Great shop to take your watch to. First off, let me say:1. Local does not mean cheapest. I think it is comical to expect a small local business to compete with a company like Walmart in prices. Petes prices are most certainly fair and reasonable.2. A 2 year old watch can have more than just battery issues. Just like a 2 year old car can have an underlying issue that drains a new battery dead. Also, try not to keep new watches in high humidity areas. That being said, Ive had my 14 year old Bulova Marine Star watch fixed and cleaned at Petes at least 4 times now (2 new faces, 1 removed link, 3 new batteries - Im extremely rough on my watches), and the watch looked and worked great every time that I picked it up. The batteries last as much as a standard battery lasts in a watch, the faces are of good quality, and Ive had zero problems with it falling apart. I highly recommend Pete as my experience has been a hassle-free one every time and I recommend him to many folks, of which all have informed me that it was a good recommendation.
Brought a clock to this business because my husband had installed new movement but it still did not work. Owner wanted to sell me new movement right of the bat without checking further into it. Turned out the batteries were dead ( our bad) but the gentleman was extremely rude and his comments very condescending. Would not recommend.
Only jewelry repair that I trust in Fredericksburg! Excellent service and Pete is awesome!
Told me my cuckoo clock need new guts and it would cost $300 to fix.I took it home, watched a few YouTube videos and fixed it myself. He flat out lied to my face. This guy is not trustworthy.Would not recommend on any level.
From watch batteries - clock repairs........ if Peter cant fix it, it cant be fixed
Great store
Rude, just plain rude.
Bad customers service
