Dog Tag is simply the best, most honest shop in town. We found them weeks after they opened in their old location and have been going there ever since. When we need to, we can source our own parts and bring them. Ricky is awesome.

After Kalen’s review, from about a year ago, I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t tea or snacks.Beyond that, Dog Tag Motors was recommended to me a few months back. The Veterans Day discount was at the right time for some needed repairs. Unfortunately, there was more work needed than what I had planned on or budgeted for.The shop was great, they were honest and didn’t try selling me on anything that wasn’t needed. They know their business. Although more work was done, than I had planned, the cost was more than reasonable. It was a great value, comparatively speaking.They alerted me to a few things, about my car that I need to keep an eye on. And they quoted a great price for some future work that I’ve been planning on having done.Bonus: veteran owned and supports fellow vets.Dog Tag exceeded expectations and we’ll use them again. Although, to Kalen’s point, sweet tea would be nice. Thank you so much.

A friend recommended Dog Tag Motors to repair my AC. The Saturday hours worked out wonderfully for me! I like supporting veteran owned businesses. Inexpensive and quick on turnaround

Ricky and Jerry are AWESOME!!! A+ service from beginning to end! Very reasonable prices, honest and hard working guys. I got an oil change, brakes and rotors, complete vehicle check over, air filter and speed sensors. Work was done quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend them!

100% satisfied with Dog Tag Motors. From start to finish Ricky and his associate Eddie were very cordial, friendly and attentive. The waiting area was more than I would expect from an auto shop and quite comfortable.I received service here through an extension of my warranty with CarMax, with which Ricky helped me through the whole process; calling them for me to secure the claim and even getting me a rental car.They diagnosed my vehicle quickly and had the repairs done (which were substantial) promptly the next day. This shop took great care of me. Fixed my mechanical issues quick for a fraction of others cost. They will continue to get my business. They do care for our Military, police, fire and rescue workers. Being retired from the police force, they make me feel right at home. Keep up the good work.

I highly recommend Ricky at Dog Tag Motors. I had taken my car to six different, supposedly, reputable places in Fredericksburg and nobody could fix my car. It is a VW Routan. They dont change out their sweet tea in the lobby on time and they get orders wrong when the ticket and screen show what is supposed to be. Also they served two pple with raw meat and took 20 minutes to get a new one. Most of the employees where just standing around and barely wearing gloves

These people are the best!! we were driving through from Florida when our van broke down, had it towed to them and they very quickly had it diagnosed and gave me an estimate. their final charge was way below the estimate and their work and communication with me is the best ive ever dealt with from a repair facility! I would give them 10 stars if I could, so if you stuff breaks dont take it anywhere else, the best in the country!!! Thanks Dog Tag Motors!!
