CK Nails is the best nail salon in Frederick, MD! The facility is beyond gorgeous and very clean. Margaret is the best nail technician I’ve ever had. She cares & takes time to make sure you’re getting what you came for. I would highly recommend anyone coming here.I would also like to note that if I could give more than 5 stars on this review, I would.

Upon entrance I could see the salon was extremely sanitary and I was asked to sanitize my hands before touching anything! Kathy was very friendly, professional and gave me a fantastic manicure! Love the sugar scrub touch 😉

Joyce was absolutely amazing!!!! I got a pedicure, gel manicure, eyebrow and lip waxing every service was perfect. She took her time with each one. I’ve never had someone go in such detail for an eyebrow waxing to make sure they are perfect and even! This was my first time visiting based off of reviews and I will be back again. Thanks Joyce!!

Relaxing environment. All the ladies were kind and hospitable. I would rate this Pedicure as a B-. The cleaning of the nails looked nice, the polish looks like 1 coat that may last 1 week. The gloved leg massage felt uncomfortable. Rubbing the skin with rubber should not be part of a massage. Wearing gloves for the cleaning the nails makes sense, but not for the calf massage. I am curious to see how long the Pedicure lasts. My heels felt dry when I left and that was disappointing. I would expect this for a $25 Pedicure, but not a $40 one. I did appreciate the use of sterile Pedicure utensils. However, I did not like the plastic shower cap lining they used in the foot bath. I would have preferred they clean it with disinfectant. Hot water and plastic are not healthy and the feet and calves will absorb toxins from the plastic. The location is A+.

I treated myself to the Zen Manicure & Zen Pedicure. Both services include a Reiki guided meditation, which was truly wonderful. Margaret does the absolute best mani/pedi I have ever had in my life! She is considerate, thorough and extremely gentle. And the shop is spotless with lots of Covid protections in place. I felt very comfortable there in every way and will definitely be returning!

Today, my sister and I both got our first pedicures in a year. Margaret took care of me and she did a great job which included a wonderful foot and leg massage. They use a fresh liner in the foot baths for every client and there is a plexiglass shield that protects both client and technician without making conversation or pedicures impossible. Overall, it feels very clean and safe. I will definitely be going back!CK Nails is owned by women.

I got a gel manicure and pedicure today from the owner, Margaret. She was very professional, personable, and did amazing work! I’ve been to seven other nail salons in the Frederick area, and the services I received here far surpass the others. I LOVE my nails( I’m very picky), and the massage chairs are the BEST in the area. Definitely go check them out!

After reading the reviews, I felt like I found a good nail salon in the Frederick area. I am new to the area I have a daughter and we both get our nails and pedi done often. When I made the appointment I ask specifically for a few things considering that my daughter prom was the next day and I wanted she and her friend to have the design that they wanted. When I got there they were debating the type of service that I called about, poorly did my daughter and her friends nails. Could not do designs nor any type of creativity. They Make appointments that they cannot fulfill. It was an awful experience

Outstanding day! We were celebrating my husband’s 63rd birthday and he had never had a pedicure. This was the perfect first time experience. He wants to do this monthly now and kept saying,” why didn’t I know about this before “! Easy to book online, Sara was fantastic for a pedi. Went with a friend and felt super comfortable with covid precautions- asked to hand sanitize when walked in and plexiglass dividers between client and tech. Clients separated in between. My feet have not felt this good in a long time!

I received exactly what I requested. .I’ve been going to too many shops in Frederick and my nails are not lasting more than a week and a half.I’ve tried powder, which should last about a month, but I was finding I had to go back within 2 weeks.I feel really good about this place even though it’s my first visit. The owner has been doing nails for over 20 years. She knows what she’s doing . I will definitely go back.

If you havent been here since the new management took over recently you really must make an appointment. Though the salon was close to home, I chose to go elsewhere when the salon was under its previous management after a poor experience. Under the new ownership, the salon has a more pleasant/relaxing vibe.Margaret and Joyce have both done dip manicures/overlays for me in the past month and I feel comfortable going to either in the future. Both times I left with my nails looking natural and neat, not thick like Ive had with a dip experience at a different salon. My first set lasted nearly 4 weeks and if the length wasnt annoying me I fully believe I could have went much longer.The salon is extremely clean and they are following strict, but reasonable COVID protocols. Every customer uses hand sanitizer and washes with soap and water upon arrival. Staff wipes the commonly used items (doors, etc) down regularly. In addition to mask usage by both the staff and customers, each station has a plexiglass shield that does its job without making you feel like you are locked in a box.The new management obviously takes pride in the salon and their services. As long as everything remains the same this will be my go-to salon!

I really love CK nails, I’ve been going there for about a year since i moved to Whittier. My last visit, however, left me quite disappointed. I usually get a full acrylic set with length and gel polish but my friend who works and a nail salon had been urging me to try dip powder so i did. I asked for dip powder with tips but they were very short, just a bit longer than my natural nail so I didn’t have to worry about them breaking. The first problem i came across was after putting WHITE dip powder on my nail (i chose a purple color) they put a purple gel polish on top of it. Again I’ve never had dip powder done before but my friend who only gets dip powder explained a completely different way of how dip powder is properly done. At this point i was confused but it was okay because my nails looked great. I pay and leave, when i get home one nail is cracking right along where the tips were placed. It fell off that day and two others began to crack. By the THIRD DAY I was missing 5 nails and two others were cracking. It’s now been a week and a half and i only have 1 nail left on each hand. Even though they did a great job appearance wise, they did not do what I asked or payed for. Super sad about this experience but other than that the nail techs are all super friendly and welcoming and they usually do a great job.

I recently went to CK Nails for my first time and I definitely think they deserve the 5 stars. From the customer service to the outcome of my nails, I was very pleased. I don’t often get acrylic but this was a time where I did and they turned out beautiful. Ms. Tee is very experience and she took her time to make sure the job was done right. They’re not very pricey at all either. I will definitely be returning and would recommend to others.

I called ahead and stated the type of french manicure I wanted (extensions), but half way through my actual visit I realized the nail technician was not doing what I asked for (no extensions). I thought I communicated clearly, even showed a picture before she started doing my nails. They reduced the charge by $5...they could have done better than that if they wanted to secure my business again.

This is the best nail parlor I’ve been to in the Frederick area. Not only are the nail technicians ( the owner and sister) polite and professional but they put in their very best when providing a service. Worth every penny.I highly recommend this place!

Our children bought both of us gift certificates for a pedicure. Wow, how surprised I was to get the royal treatment! The ladies trimmed cuticles, deep-rubbed the foot muscles, exfoliated the skin, the works. Great experience; Im even man enough to go back!

Sorry to pop the balloon...but, owner / staff at CKNails..gave me an injury last Saturday when working with my left foot. She cut my heal at bone...using a carrot peeler. Soooo uncomfortable...painful. She was to do the heal..not at the bone.Owner paid NO attention to it..there was blood on the towel my foot was lying on. When checking out....she knew what happened..thro again ignored me on my heal damages to the bone. She charged me without any consideration on what her nail tech did!Also, the nail polish used on my nails was chosen from the owner not my request.I wanted clear....the nail polish she chose started peeling off that same Day into...ALL off by Sunday 24 hrs.When showering & washing dishes that night the polish should have not done that.Never take a request from an owner or get your nails (feet & fingers) with someone who was NEW in the field???It must have been!?Beware....smiles will get you anywhere...But protect your extremities when at CK Nails FREDERICK.

Wonderful place to have your nails done

I was told to wait 15 min that another worker was coming in. I sat there for an hour without anyone speaking to me or giving me updates, while they took another customer. They have horrible customer service and have no respect for their customers. I will never return to their shop ever again. I will be driving to Thurmont to get my nails done from now on.
