This was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. As soon as I walked in, Mason was happy to help. I found the Jeep that I wanted right away. He was able to hold the vehicle until I came back later with my husband. It was quick and painless. It took all of about an hour. Very pleased with my purchase and experience.

The BEST experience! They let you go look at their inventory without a pushy sales rep, they gave me substantially more trade-in than 3 other dealerships around the area AND they made the whole paperwork process extremely simple! Oh and the no haggling is legit…the price is the price and it’s, again, substantially lower than dealerships around the area. Don’t have to wonder if you’re getting a good deal or not.

All the sales associates were awesome even the ones that I wasnt dealing with directly. And the quickness they were able to get me in and out with was unbelievable. Even when I couldnt get a hold of my insurance to finish purchasing my car we were able to work out away for me to still leave in it until I could get my hold of my insurance the next day. we sent me out on a 24 hr test drive until I was able to get ahold of my insurance company the next day. Theyre also very loving and accepring of my emotional support dragon. Absolute amazing experience

We have called a total of 17 times to bring my wife’s Jeep into get fixed. Left 17 messages and we can’t even get a return call. I have always loved buying our vehicles from carmax. Now that we need to get something so my wife can drive to work we can’t even get someone to answer or return our calls. Not very professional!!!!! We spoke to a operator and she keeps transferring us and we leave messages and nothing. Looks like the loyal customer service is gone

Although my purchase was smooth and easy...I’m now dealing with a harassment issue from one of their previous employees. I bought the car in 2015, never gave my information to the salesman to use for personal use and he’s still trying to contact me to this day. When I had bought the car, he insisted I go to lunch with him as a way for him to thank me for my purchase and while at lunch and showing me the specs of my car, he thought it was appropriate to say “I wonder if your lips are as soft as they look”I brushed it off when it happened. But the fact that he’s still reaching out after all these years is unsettling. What other personal information did he take from my file?

I just bought my 3rd vehicle from CarMax and this was the best experience by far! They say it takes a village, well my village was Fred, Desarae, Dan, Charlie, Shannon, and Rujeen and they were absolutely fabulous from start to finish! I shopped for about a month on their awesome app, where I could filter and search cars for hours. CarMax has the simplest, most streamlined approach to this kind of transaction. The online shopping experience alone, before you even leave your house, already saves you lots of time and frustration and gets you closer to your perfect new(er) vehicle. I never got any pressure or hassle from any salesmen and didn’t have to negotiate or deal with made-up doc fees added at the end. Best price from the start. There was one tiny little issue with a key fob but the service department fixed that right up for me ASAP. I love my carmax car and I’ll come back next time I’m in the market... though I expect that may be quite a while.

My initial experience was a great one. I test drove a Jeep Wrangler and fell in love, but wanted to explore my options. My salesman held the Jeep for a few days while I made a decision. Once I was ready to purchase and let them know I planned to do a home delivery no one wanted to help. Even people I spoke to at the call center seemed annoyed to set up my appointment and the details. So much so that NO ONE called me to finalize the details of my financing and how I planned to pay my down payment. I am now stuck with terms of financing that I was not planning to choose. My car had not been detailed AT ALL prior to delivery, and I knew no one even bothered to look through the vehicle because I found their large metal key lockbox in my glove box. This was my first car purchase and I was excited, but due to my experience I feel defeated and a bit angry with myself for choosing somewhere that ultimately did not care about me as a customer. However, I love my Jeep so much, but I wish it wouldve been sitting on another car lot.

Purchased a now 3 yr old Equinox from Carmax was told it was checked and verified in good condition. Purchased for daughter, a single mom with a small child for a safe and GOOD and mechanicallyrunning car..Purchased the extended warranty for $3,000 dollars. Last summer alternator went out. Today pads and entire brakesystem need replacing. ON A 3 YR OLD CAR! W ARRANTY WILL NOT COVER ANy OF THESE ITEMS.BUYER BEWARE!!!

Never buy a car from this place! I bought a car with the extended warranty and when I took the care to get fixed they refused to work with me on a rental car and basically told me to figure it out myself. This was the manager who told me this. Never buy a car from this place because they dont care about you after you pull off the lot.

Had an appointment for 7:30. After sitting and waiting an hour the salesman was helpful at first, walked outside to check the car out. Everything was going well but after some time had passed its like he was just pushing me off. I had money, did my pre-approval online for the car i was wanting, all my documents and insurance and was ready to purchase a car that I seriously need at this point and it didnt happen. At a little before 9 I was being walked to the door and told to come back the next day. $80.00 for a UBER there and back home.

Im not a wheeler, dealer or hangler, so CarMax is an amazing place. Got more than I thought I would get for my car.

We started at the Louisville CarMax and due to terrible customer service moved to the cool springs store where my uncle worked. He was great and got us what we wanted. However the vehicle we traded in had incorrect numbers entered for payoff. The sales manager left me on hold for 28 plus min and when I called back no apology or anything. Business office Katava was supposed to call us with resolution and she did not. We called again and Sam answered and he knew all about the issue. Called again and the sales manager basically said yes they made an error but would do nothing to fix it. Also, found out that when dealing with louisville location and trying to call and check on things because I made a call and got the call center who did absolutely nothing for me in fact agitated me further because they didn’t speak English and didn’t understand what I needed got half the commission because of that call. Phil Wigginton was the only person that did their job he actually went above beyond having walk around inspection and our questions answered on vehicle coming from Maryland. He should have received the full commission. We stayed with CarMax and came to that store because of him. Because of Louisville’s incompetence, the sales manager at cool springs, and the business office staff I will not shop at CarMax again. I will make sure anyone I know looking thinks twice before coming to CarMax. Calls are not returned and CarMax doesn’t fix its errors.

Great experience buying an SUV at CarMax Cool Springs. Went in to their location based on their inventory online. Tried the vehicles I thought I would like then was shown another not on line yet and it was perfect. Sabir Muhammad was our sales person and he could not have been nicer or more throrough. No worries about Covid. Test drove the vehicle without a sales person. Entire process was easy. Felt like he educated us about our options and did not feel pressured in any way. When I emailed them on followup items, they got right back to me. Everything was smooth!

Our 3rd car buying experience from CarMax once again did not disappoint! Mark was our salesman and we went in just to look. I gave him my wish list and he found the exact RED car I wanted with all the bells and whistles too! Mark was an exceptional salesman and we will definitely ask for him for our next car purchase!

Me and my wife went here to buy my car and from the time we walked in we were being rushed. The sales person was very polite but amazingly it was the manager that was rushing us out. The salesman went and pulled the vehicle up for us to look at and it was there for all of 4 minutes and the manager came up to us and asked so are you actually planning on buying this car or just looking then looked down at his watch. As to say if you are not buying it we could just leave so that he could leave early. We hadnt even been able to take it for a test drive. Then said most people take 15 to 30 minutes for a test drive as to say we dont have time for that. We had even made an appointment online before we came. Even after we decided to buy it and had informed them we were going to purchase it he still rushed us threw everything and acted as doing the paperwork was too big of a hassle!!! After the 4th time of him saying something about the time i jumped up and said im done with this he is obviously ready to leave! Even with me saying this he never denied what i had said and told us we should just come back the next day. I told him we drove about an hour to get there and we would not be driving all the way back out there just to be treated as if we were bothering him. Finially the salesman step up and told us we wouldnt have to that they could bring it to our house and we would be able to finish paperwork at our house. I really wanted this vehicle but had it not been for them doing that i would have not bought it and just started back looking for another one.

I like the car-buying experience at CarMax very much. This makes the 7th or 8th vehicle Ive purchased or sold through CarMax.My only real complaint is that the CarMax front license place was installed on my new car by drilling 2 large holes into my front bumper. This plate wasnt there the first time I looked at the car, but was added before I picked it up for purchase. This would be bad no matter what, but it was especially bad considering there were already 2 factory drilled holes in the bumper exactly for this purpose. Not happy. Aside from this, it would have been a 5 star experience.

I bought a car from CarMax about 7 months ago. I had a pretty good idea of the car I wanted and.my budget. The salesman (Dan) found it for me. He made himself available at the time that fit my schedule !!.The car.was ready on time and all the paperwork was done in advance. No fuss, and no surprises either. I picked it up and was on the highway( The showroom is located right off the interstate) in about 20 minutes from my scheduled pickup time.

I’ve had my car towed there for transmission problems I’ve called for two days and can’t get through actually on hold for over 45 minutes several times left several messages with promise of returning call within business hours, never happened!! very poor customer service!!

Carmax is a great place to find your dream automobile. I searched on line for it and reserved the truck, Ive been waiting a life time for, in that moment. Cant believe it was so easy to navigate their system. That says a lot beings that I was born in the mid 50s. Not exactly a millennial. Completed the transfer fee on line as well. Its a 2017 GMC 1500 Denali with 1800 miles for half the price of a new one. To the buyers out there, let someone else take that depreciation hit. CarMax rocks.

This is the quickest, least stressful car-buying experience I have ever had. Henry Beeler didn’t just automatically turn to my husband assuming he had sole authority on the vehicle we were buying, as I’ve experienced in, quite literally, every other dealership I’ve ever been to. He was insightful, pleasant, and courteous. For the paperwork, we were handed off to Chason Fuller, who somehow managed to make all the forms a cakewalk. He was both thorough and hilarious, and if we ever need anything I don’t feel the anxiety of emailing or calling with questions as I would associates in other dealership business departments. Truly an excellent experience due to these two guys. We’ve already decided we’ll come back to this location when the time comes. Thanks for redeeming car buying for us!

Everything about CarMax, is not as easy, as you would expect. The sales people outstanding, A+ all the way . As far as getting as far away from pushy sales people, (which drives me away from buying a new car),Go Carmax they hold the key for that. The people in the paperwork dept., another A+. nice to deal with, make sure they not only tell you everything up front, but make sure you understand everything.The bad - I understand, and have dealt with many transportation logistics companys in the past, I dont know if they are a part of, Carmax or an outside contractor . And I realize, the hours a trucker can drive, I realize they have a set route not made up by them, but the amount of time, just about 2 weeks to get a car from 13 hours away, was not right .2 - After working for many dealerships myself over the years, the one thing that leaves a lasting impression on a customer is the drive home in the nice new, to them clean car . We were told all along that it would go through a serious cleaning and then we would be called to come drive it. Well that never happened, old glasss left in it, an old tooth placker/pick stuck in the visor. Boogers Yes Boogers,all over the dash,radio,and gauges . Windows absolutely filthy inside, some sticky substance run down the door jams, and center console . The overhead filthy you could see about 3 swipes with the vacuum were taken. I cleaned best as I could when I got home, thousands of times better in 30 mins., but it still needs to have a pro do it. Bad thing is, my son and daughter in law bought a Land Cruiser, from Carmax in, Calif. two weeks before we bought our Runner, and had the excat same experience.Detailers have a job, easy look and see what needs cleaning and polishing take it on themselves, and get it done. It looked like they did just what I showed the sales person, and he pointed out to them, and that was it . I guess I dont get folks anymore, you got a job, take the initiative to do something to be proud of .Would I buy from Carmax again, you bet telling others about it that are looking for a car already. But I tell them, dont expect it to be clean.Anyway the detailing does not reflect anything anyway on you, or our experance with the sales dept. of Car Max, you guys rock .

Bought a car from them only to have it drive awful and was unsafe to even operate. Be careful of the return policy. Luckily I took a video of the car I bought as it was sitting on the lot. I brought the car home and it was unsafe to drive so I took it back to return it as they advertised was ok to do . Once I explained the issue the test drive it only to deny the problem then try to tell me I scratched the wheels and would have to pay for them before the car could be returned. Of course that was bs . So I pulled the video up and showed them the curbed wheels before it was even driven off the lot. Lets say I was given a new vehicle and the wheels well they didnt have much to say after that. Oh and be ready for major solicitation from this dealer and their friends .

I recently bought 2 cars at CarMax in Cool Springs, TN, and I have to say that it was the best experience. Our salesman, Steve W., was exceptional, patient, responsive, and very professional, and helped us find the cars we were looking for. Bethani, the store manager, was also very proactive and understanding and helped with a specific request I had. One thing they need to improve is the connection between their sales staff and the repairs/service office so that salespeople can have access to the service records and scheduling, making the clients life easier to book any needed services/reviews when buying a vehicle. I fully recommend this store and Steve as a salesperson.

For my 2013 Honda Odyssey CarMax offered me $8000 and the transaction was complete in 30 minutes. Completely professional and not pushy. I tried to use some of those new car buying websites and they are complete ripoffs. Wheelzy.com offered me $1500 and CarBuyerUSA.com offered me 8950 and came out and looked at it four days later and lowered their offer to $7000 even though I had initially disclosed that the AC did not work.

Came in with my wife under stressed circumstances given that we were down a vehicle and I must say the level of customer service that we received from both Todd (salesman) and Sam (manager) were exceptional. We ran into a minor hiccup along the process and they both went above and beyond what their job description calls for to ensure that were taken care of and would leave with the best case scenario no matter what- and we did! We left with a car that we are both in love with and it’s all thanks to their high service standards.

I went in on 11/29 and purchased a Mercedes from them, Cornelius was my sale rep and he made me feel like a family member was helping me getting the car at the best price. The whole process was very transparent and he answered all of my questions. Even the manager of the place stepped in and help us with helpful advices. I felt very comfortable with them. Very happy with my purchase and will definitely get my next car from them

I dont know why anyone would purchase a car anywhere else! These guys are the best - AND - no haggle pricing - no doc fees - 129 point inspection on all cars - etc., etc., etc.

I got pre-qualified, had my car transfered, and when my car arrived I test drove it and got the car I wanted. From the time I entered the door, to the time I left was about 2 hours. My salesman Andrew was excellent and very knowledgeable and didnt try to sell me any add-ons that I didnt need.

Our sales rep, Mark Stengle, was great. Easy to work with, helpful & informative. The free transfer for the vehicle we chose was cool. I would have rated it five stars, but I thought they could have given us more for our trade in. Still, one of the smoothest, stress free experiences weve had buying a vehicle.We bought the truck 3 years ago. Still have it, and its been a great truck. Our experience was so good, that when I decided I couldnt live without a Corvette, we found one on line in Memphis, had it brought in to the Franklin, Tn location. I bought the 2010, Velocity Yellow Corvette. Love it! We then followed up with a 2017 GMC Terrain for the wife. Yep, 3 total purchases, 2 in the last month or so. Dont know if Ill be buying any more vehicles in my lifetime (Im retiring next year), but if I do, well be shopping at Carmax!

First time to CAR MAX. I always purchase cars from owner. I have not purchased a car from a dealership in 25 years. This was the best experience bar none!! I got the car of my dreams at a great price, and the best financing avaible!I went to two CAR MAX LOCATIONS to find my car.IM STILL in touch with my dealership, Great people! I was in a terrible situation with no vehicle. I went in and spoke with Dan. This was my first time purchasing a car on my own and he made it extremely simple. I found one online, sent in my application and he called me first thing. Car was shipped to us and delivered in the exact amount of time we were told. I explained to Dan that my vehicle had completely broken down and I needed this one immediately. He stayed over just to make sure I was able to get the car asap. He was kind, patient, and NOTHING like your everyday customer service rep/car salesman. I have worked retail for a very long time and take the time to appreciate the good people who still care about their customers. Thank you again Dan for being so wonderful and helpful. I can only hope he will be there when Im ready to get my next!

I sold my car at this dealership.The price is decent. I quoted first at carMax and asked over 5 dealerships to see if any other could beat the price. Only one could make it. Eventually, I sold my car here because I could get the check the same day.Overall, the experience was good and the whole process (check the condition of the car thoroughly, paperwork) took me about 1 hour.

We recently bought a used car from this Carmax location. The process was easy and the people who worked with us were great (esp Jeoffrey in service). There were a few things wrong with the car and Carmax had everything fixed gladly. They stand behind their work and warranty.
