I took my car to Girards to fix an issue with one of the tires, and this was my first time going there. First thing this morning, I had called Tires Plus and Firestone to see if they could get me in...they both said Id have to drop my car off for the day and theyd fit me in when they could. When I called Girards, they offered me 3 appointment options that were open for today. I chose the 11 a.m. appointment. When I arrived, they started working on my car within minutes of my arrival, and it was done within an hour. I waited onsite, and their waiting room was fairly spacious, tidy and comfortable, with plenty of magazine options. Both of the gentlemen who I worked with in scheduling the appointment, checking in, and then later explaining the problem with my tire to me, were very friendly. I felt my car (and my time today!) was taken care of in a very efficient manner and Girards is definitely a place I will return to for future car servicing needs!

I had my check engine light on, they were able to get me in quick and correctly identify the issue and got my vehicle back to me quickly. They checked in a few days later to ensure nothing changed after I had been driving my truck for a few days. Highly recommend and will be back for any of my automotive needs.

They received my Mustang on July 5th an by the 8th had clutch fixed an I was on the road. Pretty darn good considering it was a holiday week.

I brought my car in to check the battery because it didn’t start in the cold weather. They checked it out and honestly said it’s fine it was just too cold. Very friendly and efficient.

I needed to take my car somewhere after getting a quote from the Chevy dealership to fix something that didnt need to be replaced. I had the car towed here on recommendation from a family member. The dealership quoted $1800 for a stuck oil filter (they wanted to just replace the oil pan). Dennis got my truck, took him and his team 5 minutes to twist off the filter, inspect the threads and finish the oil change. The cost, less than $90! So very thankful for an honest businessman and well trained mechanics. Thank you for your great service!

They take great care of my car

I have gone to Girards for a long time at least the last 10 years. Even though I have moved farther away, I still come to Girards for work on my car. The main mechanic Dennis is very good at his job and honest with you.For example, there was one time that I needed work done on my car. Before I even took the car there Dennis suggest that I check if anything could be resolved through warranty as my car was still under the mileage that warranty would still cover most problems. Another place I called near where I live before him did not suggest this at all. This ended up saving me money.Another situation that demonstrates honesty is when my car needed to be fixed. They fixed it, but the fix did not work and I needed to take it to a dealership. Dennis was willing to refund me the money that I had already paid.I would highly recommend Girards.

The owner diagnosed my issue and determined it needed no repair, or charge for his time. Its nice to see there are honest businessman still around these days. Been there a few times, always great service and pricing. Definitely will be back.

Super honest repair place!!!

I had a vehicle taken to them for inspection There was a transmission cooler line that blew While the Tech was on a test drive obviously not their fault but the problem comes when I go to pick up the vehicle and realise the entire motor the whole exterior driver side of the car the whole underbody of the car are covered in transmission fluid.. Which means any competent Tech would have smelled the leak as soon as it started And pulled over and stopped, the Tech driving my car did not he continued to drive the car until 100% transmission fluid leaked there for my transmission is now fried I called it spoke directly to the owner and he informed me that its not the tech fault that the transmission was leaking which I agreed to I tried to explain to the owner that any actual technician that cared would have noticed this smell and stop instead of trying to drive the car back to the shop causing further damage the owner did not care said hes not gonna do anything and when I told him I will post a Google review and go ahead and explain my situation on Facebook his exact responses I dont care you do what you have to do....

They took the time to explain the problem with my car. Fast and professional service. About a month after my service they just texted to ask how my car was doing. I really appreciate them. I will be having all of my car repairs done with them.

Great shop. They do great work and are very courteous and professional. Been taking my cars here for 13 years and have never had a problem with anything. They fix what needs to he fixed and never try to scam you like some other shops out there.

I have been going to Girards for years. They are great - they are fast - they are economical - they are friendly - they have an extremely clean garage - and they are all extremely knowledgeable. I can stop in after work and ask if they have time for a quick oil change and have never been turned down. If I have something more extensive, I usually wait - they have coffee, magazines, and the newspaper. They have a record of everything that has been done to my car, so if I decide to sell I can get a record of all the work that was done. I will never go anywhere but Girards. First class service center. I would and have recommended to family and friends!!!

I just spent over $600.00 for a massive engine oil leak. They replaced the valve cover gaskets and oil sending unit. After paying the bill and returning home I still had a massive oil leak on my driveway ( no difference from when I brought it in to be repaired) . Brought the vehicle back and Dennis stated it needed the rear main oil seal and would cost me $1000.00. There was no way this vehicle was road tested after the repair. I took it to another shop and they said it was very obvious that the rear main seal was the major leak. Dennis did offer a discount if I wanted it repaired. Isnt that what I paid the $600.00 for on the first visit? Poor Diagnosis just cost them a customer for life!

Yes Honest People Do Exist,I have been taking our family’s cars to Girard’s for many years. The one thing that really stands out in all my dealings, aside from politeness and excellent work, is their honesty. Over the years I have gone in describing symptoms that could easily have translated into big ticket repairs (brakes, exhaust systems; electrical issues, ...). Already expecting to pay big bucks many shops would take advantage and do work that wasn’t warranted knowing it would be unlikely for me to question their solutions. That is where Girard’s Service differs. Dennis the owner and his top-notch manager Derek play it straight. They identify what needs be done and just as importantly tell you what doesn’t. I stopped at Girards for the first time to ask about a green blinking light in my D gear. I looked on the internet before going anywhere and it said the problem is a transmission problem. Because of that, I was afraid to go to any repair shop thinking they would automatically say it was a big ticket item. I spoke to Dennis, who was very nice and listened to my concerns. Dennis offered to check my transmission fluid level and filled it without charging me. He was extremely nice and encouraged me to take it to a dealer who said they would do a diagnostic test for free, rather than him do it and charge me. I will definitely be going back to Girards Service of Franklin, because of Denniss kindness. Plus, he was so humble that I didnt even realize until I got home that on his card it said he is the owner. Awesome place to take your repair needs. I really feel that I can trust Dennis, with my cars maintenance.

Have been going here for about 8 years. Great service. Last week my radiator sprung a leak. They said it would be around $700. After they took a few parts off they discovered it was just a bad hose and rusted clamp. The bill went down to $252. This has happened more times than I can count. They have never tried to take me to the cleaners. Paul is the best service writer in the metro area. Really knows his stuff. Many times a large bill has been whittled down because the parts they use have lifetime warranties on them. I have 194,000 miles on my 202 Taurus so you can imagine that I have gone through a few major items more than once. Saved me a lot of money.

I have been taking our vehicles to Girards since we moved into the area.They have always completed repairs on time, provided accurate diagnostics and repairs and fair pricing. I like the fact that they are open until 7pm so I can drop off after work and have my concerns are addressed by a mechanic or the owner himself.The place is always clean and has a nice waiting area with kid area and snacks/soda available.I have never had to take my car back for something they overlooked or missed.I am a satisfied customer and highly recommend them for all you vehicle service needs

Ive been a customer for 15 years. They are always fast, fair, and polite. Theyve dealt with major and minor issues for me and Ive always felt satisfied. They often offer cost savings on big jobs and occasionally have fixed minor issues with no charge. I have never felt like they have tried to take advantage of me or my wife and that is unique in my experience with mechanics. I definitely would recommend them to anyone.

The folks at Girards offered fast good service. I got separate quotes for things I explicitly asked for (brake stuff I needed right then) and for other things they found but werent time-sensitive. We bring our work truck here for maintenance. Its a diesel so they direct us to the dealer when necessary but we always bring our truck to Girards first. We trust in their work and they have a decent turnaround time that keeps our downtime to a minimum.

We have been taking our vehicles here for years. I dropped off my car yesterday and they got it right in without an appointment. I think that they are very honest. We wouldnt go anywhere else.

Girards is always honest, dependable, and fast. I needed some work done quickly due to a time constraint, or Id have to come back the next day and go through the hassle of finding a ride, etc. I let them know, and they got the part and had it installed well before the time I needed.

Ran over something on the freeway and my car started making an awful noise. Took it to Girards and they informed me it was a bent heat shield. They straightened it out and did not charge me. I was very impressed. Most places would charge you just to look at it. I have taken both my cars to Girards they are honest with reasonable prices. I can usually get a appointment without having to wait too long.

They may be open late but that does not mean theyll actually work. Stopped for quick oil change before 1730 and told no, my tech leaves in 5 minutes. So, apparently, there is only one tech and nothing happens when he leaves.

Took my car in to have a broken bolt removed from my timing cover and my crankshaft re threaded. They couldnt do the crankshaft and said i needed it replace. (got it threaded at another shop) They got the broken bolt out and only charged me for the tow. Still really happy.

I love the honesty and the integrity of Girards. I have come to them twice for repairs. I requested to have a taillight fixed on an older car that required a part they did not have. Once it came in, they called promptly and my car was fixed for $200 cheaper than a quote from another auto shop. They even fixed a hole in my exhaust for free. (something that had really been bothering me, but I didnt have money to pay for a fix) The mechanics didnt treat me like I was an idiot and the receptionists were straight-forward and cordial. Ill continue to return.

Went there for 2 different issues (brakes making noises and worsening gas mileage). Had them look at the brake issue 3 different times and it is still a problem. Had them look at the gas mileage issue 2 different times and it is still a problem. I spent hundreds of dollars to get these issues fixed and they didnt fix either issue. There is no way Ill ever go back. Waste of money and time.

Very honest.Ive had our Pontiac G6, Jeep Commander, Ford Fusion and my Mercedes worked on at the facility. So, they can handle a variety of makes and issues. I look for mechanics that are technically compentent, and have integrity. Girards fits that model.

I bought a 2000 Honda Prelude from someone I work with and he has been taking this car to Girards since 2008. He put over $9000 into this vehicle from 08-11 to 10-12 new crankshaft and transmission and etc, whatever was needed on this vehicle. Well I bought this vehicle on 12-07 and replaced the tires and I noticed upper right ball joint lose. I had the paperwork from previous owner and noticed ball joint was replaced in 2011, so it was replaced, I only paid for labor and a wheel alignment, so far so good, until I drove the car home and noticed it veered left slightly and when I accelerated it pulled to the right. I brought it back and the following day I got a call from Paul the mechanic, who told me the problem was fixed after rotating the tires and another alignment. Well on the drive home it had the same problems again, so I would guess no one took the car for a drive after the alignment, because anyone would of noticed the problems it had. I left a message that night about this issue, no response from anyone, so my money was no good there, or they just didnt want to deal with me or this vehicle.

Had brakes and a broken hood latch fixed, Derrick the service manager was communicative, on time, and on budget. Cant do much better than that.
