Showed up and in 15 minutes (or so) said we needed to defrost our refrigerator but was fine. Then charged my wife $145.00 for a service charge. Lesson learned. Please read all the google reviews before hiring. Also find it comical that in August the service charge (per google reviews )was $139.00.

Kevin is wonderful. He has repaired our appliances for years. He is punctual, professional, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend Kevin Grace for all of your appliance needs. He has 30 years of experience and youll be up and running in a few minutes. He will more than likely have the part you need on his truck which saves you time. Schedule an appointment, you wont be disappointed! I only give 5 star reviews to reputable businesses. Over the years, Mr. Grace has never taken advantage of me or my daughters appliances at her house. Negative reviews are not always credible. He is not a scammer, nor has he ever taken advantage of me.

I had a great experience with this company. I called for service on my broken refrigerator, they arrived with in a couple of hours of me calling. They quickly identified the problem, quoted me a fair price and repaired the refrigerator immediately. This man drives around in a large box truck filled with appliance parts, and able to do most repairs without me waiting for days for a part. I would definitely recommend them to my friends.

WORST EXPERIENCE WITH ANY SERVICE PROVIDER EVER!!!!!Total rip-off.Unfortunately we didnt know we were getting Kevin Grace. We called Appliance Doctor and apparently they outsourced our broken freezer problem to Kevin. At least Appliance Doctor only has good reviews on Google. Well, one good review. Had we known we were instead getting Kevin wed have read all the other reviews and steered clear. The ONLY thing Appliance Doctor did right was actually answer the phone. They were our 4th call. The only thing Kevin did right was actually show up on the day he said he would. He was here for MINUTES. He did absolutely NOTHING except take temperature readings, assuming he even did THAT.He charged us $139.95 for the visit and the alleged service he provided. When he arrived my wife led Kevin to the freezer above the refrigerator in our garage and explained that she had already removed most of the food that had already completely thawed out the day before. (It was too late to call anyone the day before when we discovered our freezer wasnt working and that everything had been thawing out fast.)She told Kevin about the 2 different sources of leakage from the unit, both of which had never affected the freezers performance until the day before the service call when we made our discovery of the problem. One leak is a seepage of a brown, watery substance that traveled down the back wall of the inside of the refrigerator (thats under the freezer). This brown seepage started years ago and we never knew what was the cause (and still dont, no thanks to Kevin). The other leakage (a yellowish white substance) occurred in the freezer door, which wed never seen before and which my wife didnt discover until the night before the service call when she was removing all the thawed items. This substance resembled and icicle that one would see hanging from their homes gutters or roof top after a winter storm. But when she touched it, it was soft and sticky. She explained ALL OF THIS to Kevin. His response was that one of us must have left the freezer door open, maybe even just a little which is of course laughable BS as we are BOTH quite admittedly rather OCD when it comes to making sure our freezer door is shut properly. The main refrigerator in our kitchen has a door thats notorious for being rather difficult to shut properly, making us quite sensitive to the need to be careful with ALL our freezer and refrigerator doors. My wife had to step away from the work area for about 3 minutes (5 minutes max.) to clock out from working at home and to shut down her computer. As she was leaving her office Kevin was finished and said everything was cooling fine. When asked what he did to fix it Kevin said that he used an infrared device to monitor the temperature of the unit and that nothing else needed to be done, and that the $139.95 fee was for the service charge.About 3 hours after he left, my wife was concerned that a large plastic bottle of water that we use as and ice pack, and that we keep in the freezer door (the same area affected by one of the mysterious leaks) was showing no signs of freezing whatsoever.Dissatisfied with Kevins claim of unit is cooling upon arrival--no immediate problems found (his notes on the invoice) my wife called Kevin to tell him.Kevin explained that it needed to be in there for at least 24 hours after the service call for it to be totally frozen. So my wife asked, Well, if after 24 hours its NOT completely frozen and I have to call you back here, are we going to get charged for another service call?Kevin was more than evasive. She went THREE ROUNDS with him and he just kept deferring to his stupid infrared device. Finally after having had enough my wife said, Look, I hear what you said about your infrared device. But what Im asking YOU is if you have to come here again will there be another service charge? After an awkward pause, Kevin said, Probably not. Not good enough. Its more than 3 days later. The water bottle remains unfrozen. Lesson learned.

Worst experience we’ve ever had with a repair company. Oh, they fixed our refrigerator alright, and did it in a timely manor, BUT, they lie like a cheap rug. When our 4 year old refrigerator stopped freezing, we had had a favorable experience with, what we thought was this same company, many years ago so we had no problem calling them. Jim, their tech, arrived a few hours later and immediately said the problem was a bad compressor. We’re old people and my heart sank. i knew this was going to be expensive. When he quoted us $1100, I almost fainted. I explained the unit was only 4 years old and should be under warranty. He said no, it only had 1year. I asked even the compressor? He said yes, 1 year. We have to have a refrigerator so we dipped into our meager security savings and agreed. He demanded a $500 deposit, which we gave him. He did return this morning and repaired the unit, but got very defensive when I told him we had checked with LG and the compressor has a 10 year warranty. He told me he didn’t work for LG and didn’t know what they did. (He sure seemed sure of himself when he told us it carried a 1 year warranty only. ) I told him if he didn’t know, he should have explained that when asked about the warranty instead of lying about it. The compressor he installed cost $500. At least that’s what he charged us for it. Then $600 for labor. He was here a little over a hour, and some of that was spent in his air conditioned truck. Good grief, $600 a hour? I bet that’s more than our congressmen get. As soon as he left I called the owner of the company, Kevin Grace, and explained what had happened. He fully supports his man. Bottom line is, like so many others have reported, this company is a scam. They lie and way overcharge for their Service.

This guy is a scam artist. Do not call him. He charged $89.95 for a service charge without fixing anything. We didnt even call him to repair this. We called a number that we thought was a sears repair number. Apparently he pays google so that the call directs to him. Im not even sure if he did anything other then have a quick look at it only to tell me it would be a $500 piece that was not in stock. This is a scam.

DO NOT CALL HIM! He came out to check out our washer, was here 5 minutes max, and said he couldn’t repair and I needed to call a plumber. Charged me $140 for literally nothing. Also, he asks you to write the check directly to him and not the business. We got scammed on this one. DO NOT CALL!

The WORST experience I have EVER encountered in the service industry! They charged 2 separate $89.95 service charge for 2 separate appliances in the same visit and did not disclose until time for payment. They required me to pay for the services and conveniently didnt have the part on the truck. They cashed my $435 check and have yet to show back up to install the icemaker 1 week later. Ive been overcharged and my time taken waiting on a repairman to show that has missed the last two appointments.

Crook. Thief. Liar. We were told to contact him through Hermitage Lighting Gallery who is now claiming they never told us to contact him. He came out on 12/11/2018 to give us an estimate and figure out what was wrong with our refrigerator. Told us it was the compressor, charged us $89.95 for the service and said hed order it in and be back next week. He never came back. Ever. We went through my childs first Christmas and first birthday without a working refrigerator. I called every day for two weeks, then called every week. He would never call me back, and if I happened to catch him on the phone, he would say hes waiting to hear from his distributor. It is April 16. Nothing. He is also trying to get business by changing his name to Appliance Doctor. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU USE AUTHORIZED APPLIANCE REPAIR OR APPLIANCE DOCTOR. ABSOLUTELY WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH ANYONE, FOR ANYTHING.

He didnt even take the top off the washing machine to check if the circuit board was working. He listened to a friend described to him what was going on he never checked anything he just pushed buttons opened and closed door charged me $140 for nothing.. He said parts and labor would be over 350.00. He rushed through it. Never ever again.Rip off

He took advantage of my grandmother by not explaining what he was doing and did not list a cost breakdown on his bill (no labor cost, no part cost, no nothing). He charges $200+ no matter what the issue is. He fixed this issue but had to be called out again because he did not correctly handle it. He wasnt able to come out the same day and did not give a time that he would be able to come so we had to wait around for him. I would not recommend his services to anyone at all. Find someone better who wont waste your time or your money.

Kevin Grace is a thief, essentially stole my money for a service on my washer that he provided however did not fix the issue. The company called was The Appliance Doctor and when writing the check amount for service he corrected me to write the check directly to him and not the company name. He immediately left and cashed the check & when I called to complain about the service provided not fixing my washer he was very rude and not professional.

Not very friendly, not affordable, didnt seem very knowledgeable of what he was doing. Charged me a $100 service fee because I was unwilling to move forward with a $300 repair that I ended up doing myself for $30 and 5 minutes of my time. I am always about supporting local businesses, but not when they lack general customer service and courtesy.
