We started the dishwasher and found a puddle of water on the kitchen floor (never put hardwoods in a kitchen). Anyway, we called late on a Tuesday and they showed up on the house at the schedule time on Thursday. Turns out the repairman, Julian, could not find a problem and suggested that maybe the spray arm might have been stuck for a number of reasons and that made the water pool and leak. He asked if we wanted him to clean the dishwasher and level it including drying all the components that got wet from the mishap. The techs name was Julian and he was professional, courteous and polite. We would recommend Fix-It-Right to a our friends and if we ever need appliance repair again we would not hesitate to call them.

Technician came to my home on the 4th of September to fix and look at my icemaker since it wasnt working. He stuck his hand in there and moved a piece of ice and it started to work. He told us if it didnt work or stopped in the next 3 weeks to call. We called him shortly after a few days because it stopped. They never called my husband back. I called and spoke to them on Tuesday and 1 they didnt remember even after we sent the invoice copy. He was very rude and said we didnt fix it and I had only paid the service fee which is true. So he asked me to send model number of the fridge which I did and he would call me back next day. No phone call and I had to call him today to ask what the price was. He told me his wife was in the hospital and it wasnt intentional that he forgot which is fine I understand. However when I called him back he said it would be $250 and they arent in the parts business but service business. I asked him the cost of tge part and he refused to tell me. I went to ask him what the name of the part was and he hung up. So I feel as of I paid a service fee for nothing and now I have to pay another fee for someone yl come and look and fix my ice maker. I would in not recommend this company at all!

Awful experience. Initial phone call (on a Thursday) to see if they could help and texted photos and description and the part we thought was the problem; was told someone would call tenant to schedule appointment right away - that part of experience was fine (and normal). No one ever called my tenant. Received call from Heath on Monday saying he received all the information from his wife on Thursday but got busy and just forgot to call back. Went on to say that they are not in the parts business and he could drive all the way to Nashville and get the part, but it will be a minimum of $250 and not sure that will even work. I said I really wish they had told me they were not in the parts business on Thursday when I texted the part I thought was the issue, and for that cost I will just look at buying a new dryer - and he just hung up! No OK, thanks for calling, sorry we couldnt help... nothing, just CLICK! Wish I could convey the unprofessionalism through this review, but it just doesnt do it justice. I DO NOT RECOMMEND; if only there was an option for zero stars.

Stay away from this business at all costs. This husband and wife team have a racket going. She answers the phone with the worst possible attitude. She doesnt returns calls nor does she provide an invoice after the job is done. And when you complain, she sics her husband on you. And when he calls, he uses threatening techniques to make you want to go away. My work was rescheduled several times because The repairman would call me to confirm the appointment instead the tenant, whose name and phone I had given her up front. When I spoke to the repairman and asked why he did not call the tenant, he said you should answer your phone. I can go on and on. Again, I would stay away from them.

Fix it Right wins my award for the worlds WORST customer service of all time!! The abuse and hassle of trying to work with Fix it Right and their inability to solve my problem was gladly given to another company who did it in the same day. Using paper plates for the weekend is not a solution to fixing a dishwasher, but thanks anyways. This is the first and only time Ive ever posted a review. Please note all of the other 1 star reviews prior to choosing to doing business with this company. The experience has taught me to not just go with the top rated company on Google.-Matt

I hired them to repair my dryer. Guy showed up and gave me estimate more than i paid for a washer. I had to fix it so I said yes. As soon as i said yes he called me again saying there is a possibility that another part is also broken and I said yes to pay extra $50. They charged me $60 for the visit and deducted that amount from the final bill of $380. I asked for the receipt and they send me a receipt of $320.I said I need a full receipt of $380 and they said we sent you one already I said I’m sorry I lost it please send me again and they said no they cannot send me a and guy asked me to “being responsible” and save a copy of my own receipt. I sent two emails then I called and guy was angry because I lost my receipt.I’m not sure what did I do wrong by asking in email for the receipt and calling them. Definitely not going to hire them again and strongly advise all of you not to use them

Julian is not only of of the most honest individuals I have worked with, but also incredibly hard working. He was very patient, kind, informative, and very helpful. He went above and beyond what I asked.He walked me through everything he was doing and why. On top of that, he wrote down suggestions of products to use in my dishwasher to help.He followed up, and was very prompt. I spoke to this company on Sunday and he was there the next day! That is quality service.I would recommend Julian and his company to anyone who would listen.

Very pleased with the service provided. The owner of the business came to our home and called ahead before arriving, explained in detail everything that could be wrong, and offered a remedy to determine the actual diagnosis of the fridge. He said he trusts hell earn our business after we perform the remedy and he will. That is how business should be done. Highly recommend!

Anyone who feels like they have the right to yell and berate women in their own home, and then doesn’t make sure their employees treat their customers right, does not deserve to run a business in an area like Franklin, Tennessee. Those looking for a repair company turn the other way, and look for someone who will be respectful and care about their customers..... Ever has an appliance guy repeatedly question himself in front of you then immediately mention that he’s been doing it for 22 years and not to question him? Well meet Heath. He came to my house and I already had the dishwasher pulled out.He hadn’t seen my problem before and called someone to verify what it was. Told me on the spot “if this doesn’t fix it, it’s free.”Fast forward his call comes in about how much it will cost $110 part and an addition $200 in labor and that is already minus the $60 service fee original) and if I wanted it out back under the counter an additional $30, so I declined and said I can get a new washer for that price. I asked him again, when contemplating to get a new dishwasher or not, “So if that doesn’t work the fix is free.” He then said “That’s you questioning if I know what I’m doing or not.” I said no I’m just repeating what you told me in the kitchen.End of the day, very unprofessional and will not be recommending them to anyone. Little did they know I have a General Contractor and we need this kind of service all of the time. Shame.Now my dishwasher is dissembled(the way they left it) in the middle of my kitchen, with screws from who knows where on the counter. Looks like I’m calling someone I can rely on to be professional and come reassemble.

I WOULD NOT USE OR RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!! We had a water leak coming from our washer and was told there would be a Service Fee for showing up, and if a repair was made it would be deducted, which was fine with us. About 7 minutes after they showed up, the tech Rudely said, Im not going to wait all day to find this leak! I was stunned!! Three minutes later, they saw a leak from a hose. I asked them to tighten it and He Rudely said, that will cost you $120! $60 for showing up and $60 for tightening the hose! I told him, I would do it but I just had a Heart Stent and knee surgery last week! Again, he demanded money, which I wasnt going to pay more. He was there a whole 13 minutes! HORRIBLY EXPERIENCE

Heath was rude. First of all he came to the back door of my house and banged on our French doors. It scared me to death as I was not expecting a service person to come up my back porch stairs. He is terrified of dogs and told me all about his ptsd from being bit. I assured him our golden retriever wouldn’t come out. When we decided not to have him fix our fridge because he was charging us $360 for a fridge that wasn’t even worth that much and we had only paid $100 for it, he acted put off and extremely rude like I was wasting his time. He told us that we should’ve told him that over the phone. Then when I offered to write him a check for the service call ($60) he went off on me, saying that I should know that they don’t take checks, only cash or card because they’ve been burned so many times by people. I asked him if he would like to take the fridge, thinking he could fix it and sell it for a good price. He said he would take it but couldn’t take it now, but could come back over the weekend and get it. I asked if he would be willing to do it as a trade for the service fee, essentially giving him the fridge in exchange for his service fee. He harshly said, “oh no! I’m getting my 60!” I happily gave him a card and sent he and his son on their way. Terrible customer service. Do not recommend.

New to the area, we did not know who to call. Other appliance service calls turned up cold with really long times to get service. On the first call, Fix It Right offered a next day repair. A reasonable cost-to-come with deposit applied to service. They showed up as expected with frequent call backs to update on arrival time. Arrival time as promised. When it was determined we needed a new ice maker, he stayed longer and worked harder to attempt to service the ice maker on-site, so we would not have an additional visit/delayed use of the ice maker. With transparency, he explained getting a new part could take until the next week. Pleased with his service we were willing to wait! Imagined how surprised we were when he called the next day! Service arrival earlier than estimated. Installation completed in a timely manner. We will definitely be calling Fix It Right for any additional appliance needs!! Friendly service on a job well done!!!

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. THEY ARE RUDE, INCOMPETENT AND ABUSIVE. Update: I received a call from the Owner the morning of 9/14/20 informing me that in exchange for my former 5-Star rating I was given a discount...that they would give me this opportunity to remove the 1-star rating. I promptly let him know the conversation was over and he was stating well see you in court as I hung up the phone. Yes, he called me, threatening to take me to court if I didnt remove a 100% truthful bad rating, backed by a written invoice, a handwritten note the tech handed me, and witnesses who were present in my car the day I was verbally assaulted by the owner who was on speakerphone. I have given this company every opportunity to make this right, and after this current threatening harrassment have blocked their phone # as I do not take kindly to abusive behavior and threats. Read the owners responses to the multiple poor reviews and you will see consistent themes including that he takes NO responsibility and blames the customer on every one of them including his response to this review. I gave this outfit a 5-star review 6 months ago after they repaired my fridge. BIG MISTAKE. Called back to repair my washing machine. Service call #1: ($60) They told me I needed to order the parts, gave me the part #s written on an invoice. I ordered EXACTLY what they told me to order. Service call #2: When parts arrived same tech came to my house and told me I had the WRONG part. We compared the # they wrote on the invoice I had to the # on the part...THEY MATCHED. The tech told me Id have to pay another $60 for that days service call and return the part. I told him I ordered exactly what I was told to order and I wasnt paying another $60 that day if they gave me the wrong part #s. At this point the tech snapped in my house, told me they would bill me for it and it would go against my credit, then stormed out the door yelling at me the entire time. (The owner blames me for this, which is laughable). I immediately called their home office to let them know what happened. The tech stood on my front porch ringing the doorbell incessantly while I was on the phone because he had apparently stormed out the door without his belongings...not my fault either. I received a call today from the OWNER of this company, who made excuses for his techs behavior, excuses for giving me the wrong part #s, told me I must have said something to set his tech off, and hung up the phone on me. He called me back a short while later and asked me to send him a picture of the model of my washer, then told me he would refuse to help me fix my appliance until I apologized to his technician personally. You actually read that right...He wanted ME to apologize to his guy when it was HIS guy who snapped and stormed out of my house after trying to charge me for coming to my house to tell me the parts he told me to order were the wrong parts. (The person who deserves the apology is me, the customer, not the tech who got mad and blew up). The owner then started berating me verbally over the phone with insults. He never apologized for his tech giving me the wrong part #s (which I have in writing), never apologized for HIS techs behavior, never even gave me a chance to tell him my side of the story at all because his verbal vitriol was spewing nonstop.. I had to hang up the phone on him this time, but not before letting him know (trying to talk over his nonstop verbal banter) Id be reporting them to the Chamber of Commerce, BBB, and updating my review online...to which he responded tauntingly Ohhhhh I am so scared..... Over the top rude behavior. THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH ANY REPAIR PERSON OR CONTRACTOR, BY FAR. I am now stuck with nearly $300 in washer parts which THEY told me to order, one of which is apparently not even the correct part and not returnable at a cost of $149 + shipping. Ive spent almost $400, have parts I cannot use, and my washer is still broken.

My experience was terrible.Im reading previous reviews and am not at all surprised to find that several other people felt he was very rude.Scheduling was relatively easy, so theres that. The man showed up and charged me $60 dollars (standard service fee, as he put it) but he DID NOT DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. All he did was look up the error message in the users manual (which I did prior to even calling) and tell me that the parts are too new and that he couldnt give me any specific information at that time. Then he started rambling on about how it could be many other things and that basically he wouldnt be liable for paying for that. I told him that what he was saying didnt make sense, but he responded that he was very clear and has been doing this for 19 years. He was sure to repeat that about 8 times, how experienced he was. I explained that regardless of his experience, he should be able to speak in a way that made sense.All of that to say, he talked a lot about how experienced he is but did not give me any information about which part would need to be repaired. In fact, he did not even look at the fan or sensor for my oven. He was very rude. When I politely asked if someone else could come back the next time, he said no, and that he was the owner of the company. When I questioned why I was being charged a service fee for him to literally come look at the manual and make other phone calls during his visit, he said He earned it. He was obviously offended when I asked for someone else to return upon the next visit. He insisted I pay the fee and got his bag and left. As he was running out, I asked him when I would get a quote for the two potential things that were broken (the information provided by the users manual - not any physical work that he did.) He said he may or may not call back and left. He did not call back. So he took my money but did no actual work.Its important to note that if you are a professional repair person, you should be able to deal with all sorts of people and personalities. You should be able to clearly answer questions and logically explain yourself. You should always maintain a professional attitude, even when the customer is not satisfied. None of this happened.So, if you are looking to waste $60 dollars for this man to come read your users manual, I highly recommend him. If not, look elsewhere.Ive also noticed hes responded to the negative reviews. I will not be modifying or responding any further. I just want to prevent others from wasting their money.

I would not recommend this company unless you wish to wait over 1-week to get your job done. Funny thing is that they maybe capable, and may have had my parts 3-days after the first visit. But lack of customer care and a confrontational attitude by Heath, the owner (who carries a weapon on service calls), and refuses to recognize customer needs - to have work done promptly. I could care less about an individual’s personal choices / issues & have always supported small businesses, but lack of their professionalism and this experience has taught me about cautious and the reason to write an honest & clear review.I’d probably still be waiting had it not been the efforts of a caring technician (Les) who scheduled a follow up on the 9th day after the first visit (reason for the 2-star). But fix it right probably deserves a one or zero stars.

Let me kindly set the record straight since we can not respond to the reply from the company. My boyfriend, (musiccitypickers) and I scheduled an appointment. We called the office when we thought no one had shown up to fix our oven. We didn’t lie, we just didn’t realize the technician (Heath) called and left a message earlier. The technician called us back and was extremely rude. And I witnessed it myself sitting right beside my boyfriend. Both of us were stunned of how rude he was. My boyfriend calmly hung up the phone and called the office to report his behavior. While explaining to the receptionist, she hung up on my boyfriend. Yes, we didn’t know they had called previously. But we were expecting them that day because of the scheduled appointment regardless of a phone call. Later in the evening, Heath kept calling and hanging up harassing us over and over. The people who work for this company are rude, immature, classless, and unprofessional. They should not be in business treating their paying customers this way.

One of the worst. Fridge started leaking water and called a rude front desk. Sent copy of receipt within 90 day ‘warranty’. Never called me back after confirming somebody would. Few days later after follow up, rude front desk asked me to provide evidence of phone records and text message of correspondence that i did.Owner spoke next day and he was more rude delivering a legal statement over the phone that ‘warranty expired and technician will inspect for a fee’ . If a business doesnt call back for a month after promising to do so and it expires warranty period, go figure.No one should deal with these folks

My first interaction was professional and positive, but when I called to schedule the actual repair I was met with rudeness and poor customer service. They dont keep track of their customers or service calls and even as I offered to give the information he needed to order the part, he continued to be defensive, make excuses, and try to make me feel as if I was the one inconveniencing him. I did not feel like he wanted the job nor was he interested in talking about what I needed in a calm and professional way. I would not feel comfortable having him in my home, nor would I want to pay him for his rudeness and lack of professionalism.

My friends told me the true when I asked him for a good company which provide washer repair! My washer is only three years old and one day my washer room at home just flooded. I was in panic.. My wife contacted Fix It Right and they came out to repair our 3 year old Kitchenaid dishwasher that I paid about $800 for. Heith, the owner came out and within 10-15 minutes said we needed a new electronic board. He left, ordered one and his son came back about 5 days later and put the board in, then left within 15-20 minutes. The dishwasher did not work properly. We called them again, they said it must be the sensor, they ordered a sensor, came buy for about 10 minutes, popped it in, left. The dishwasher still did not work. I called Heath and he said we need a plumber because he thought the water was not hot enough. I asked Heath to come out and stay for more than 15 minutes, run the dishwasher and find out why it is not working. He insisted I need a plumber or another repair man to come out. I found another company, they came out a week later, instantly informed my wife and I about a blue light that blinks, and when it blinks like a morris code it provides a code to what is wrong with the dishwasher. This new repair company also found 2 other small but relatable issues, ordered a part, and we will be up and running in a few days. I just called heath, he talked and talked, but no resolve, and now making it sound like I messed up by having another company come out. Heath told me in my last conversation that since he could not fix the thing to have another person come out. When I told him I did, he said he meant HE would send someone out from his company. Why would I want that when they come out for 10-15 minutes, charge me money, leave and nothing is fixed properly. I was hoping Heath would have refunded me some of the $330 I spent with him, but we got nowhere. I would NEVER hire or recommend him or his company again. They come across as nice folks, but too much talking and going around the bush, not enough fixing and being done with this issue. I also looked up other reviews for Fix It Right, not good at all, I wish I would have checked them out the first time before having them out. Beware!
