Wish I lived in closer, they would be my go-to place!I got a good feeling as soon as the office manager Amanda picked up the phone and responded warmly to my last-minute request for an appointment. I was looking for a mechanic who could inspect a used car I was considering buying. (I had just driven in from out of state and in retrospect should have known to call ahead to set up an appointment, note to self.) Despite being clearly in high demand and booked solid, they were able to find a way to fit me in that day.The owner George’s frank assessment proved invaluable and gave me the peace of mind to make a major financial decision. His expertise saved me from what would likely have been a major future headache with one car, while providing information about the pros and cons of a second car that I ended up deciding was a good fit. I cannot emphasize enough how precious their honest, top-notch expertise was, especially notable given all the pressures everyone is under these days. Hats off to the whole team, so grateful

I took my car in because the brakes were squeaking and my car was making a slight grinding noise for the first few blocks of driving that would then go away. I thought maybe the brakes and rotors needed replacing. I told them it was an old car and I didnt want to replace everything because I didnt know how much longer it would run. Winslows looked at it and called to say the brakes looked fine and didnt need to be replaced, it was just a bit of rust that didnt affect the safety of the car. If youre looking for a good, honest mechanic, definitely take your car here.

Called to get a tire patched before a huge snow storm hit. They were very friendly, both on the phone and in person. It seemed a bit steep at $35 but they did the repair fast and the RIGHT way: they took off the tire, plugged it, and patched the inside. The waiting are is very comfy, the shop dog (yellow lab) was the best part, she came to wait with me while my tire was being worked on. I highly recommend this place.
