Price rate increase without notification. Poor customer service. Questions sent through the customer portal never get a response. Charging the customer when republic is at fault. Want to only fallow parts of contract that benefit republic but ignore the parts they should be following. Likes to state rates are only good for 12 months but no where on the contract you sign does it say you are only signing this price for 12 months. Was using them for trash service since I live in an area were city does not provide trash service. Would never recommend this company to anyone.
Worst experience. Refused to pick our container full of garbage becasue they claimed we owed them $400. They actually owed me $400 because of the last time they over charged me. Once this was settled and the pick up was scheduled they never showed an said they are nt sure what happened but we owe them $400. Once again i explained they owed me $400.Once they realize they are wrong im told they are getting a supervisor and am hung up on.
We had service with another provider that was taken over by Republic Services. Since then our price has doubled. We have always been on a month to month basis. We have informed them that we are going to use a different service but we cannot get them to cancel our service and pick up their dumpster. They keep saying someone will call within 48 hours but no one ever calls back. Terrible customer service.
Use anyone else! Look at the BBB before you consider this company. Their contact is very one sided and says they can raise your rate at any time.

We all know what it is like when we call and get a quote for any type of service. Companies will tell us one thing, but charge us for things they need to cover themselves. Well, this company is no exception. They are just like everyone else.I called to get service and was given the price of three months for $60. I get the bit and it is $95. I called to find out why the bill was $35 extra from the original quote and this is where they begin to tell you “oh, we are so sorry. It is extra fees for this, that, up, down, and all around.”I ask why they did not informed me of all the charges when I asked about the begin of service. “Oh well they probably forgot,” forgot!! If that is the case they need to be firing a ton of people for doing that. Completely UNACCEPTABLE, and that is just what they will do, all but give you a mediocre apology and YOU still ha e to pay For THEIR mistake.Go with a different company!
They keep raising their prices. Cannot get ahold of customer service to cancel. Waited on hold for over 45 minutes.
Im tired of our trash guys throwing our trashcans right in front of our mailbox or our driveway. Numerous times Ive had to get out of my vehicle to move the trashcan before I can pull in the driveway. I missed an important delivery because they threw them in front of the mailbox today. Incredibly discourteous.
Ive attempted to close my account service since Mon. I spoke with Justin and was assured billing would cease. Since, Ive spoken with multiple customer service reps that have not only refused to close the account, but as well hang up the phone on me. Any chance they have had of salvaging my business has been destroyed today due to a compartmentalized way of doing business. My time has been wasted! My request since Monday for billing to cease and account to be closed as I was assured by Justin has not been honored. Further requests with REPUBLIC SERVICES company today, to honor what was requested and promised by Justin have been denied. I will be reporting this to the TX consumer services, BBB, and local police department for fraudulent activity. Im following up by reviewing your REPUBLIC SERVICES with a 1 star review of what has taken place over the last 3 days. No consumer or small business should ever have to go through this. In an attempt to help other consumers and small business by making my experience public, Im writing this review. Republic Services actions are not legal nor ethical, or at all acceptable. This is my full description of REPUBLIC SERVICES as a whole. As of Monday, my account was paid in full and billing was to cease. Since, they have refused to do so and have continued to bill me. Again, this is not legal, and is why I will file a police report to protect me and my business from Republic Services.
Absolutely the worst company Ive ever dealt with in terms of customer service. Missed pick ups, cant (or wont) put you through to a supervisor. Stay away.
With a job as important to public health as trash collection, you would think that they would have to work on the holidays, or at the very least there would be a trash pickup makeup day after the holiday. Instead we have to pile up our trash for a week until they collect again. And holidays usually mean that people have get togethers that cause there to be MORE TRASH. Its ridiculous.
If there was an option for no star, that would be my choice. Positively the WORST company and customer service. If you are considering this company, do yourself a favor and bang your head against the wall while burning a few hundred dollar bills. That is the most accurate depiction of their service I can describe. Please, for the love of all things good and holy choose a different company!Addendum: I have reconsidered my previous review....converting ISIS in Syria to Christianity is a better option than signing up with this company to take your GARBAGE to the dump! Buy your ticket through Elal to receive the same welcoming service that you will recieve from Republic.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. We paid for them to NOT pick up our trash each week and when we would call for them to pick up we were on hold for 15-20 minutes each time. After telling them they forgot to pick up our trash yet again it would take 4 days for them to come out and by that time maggots where forming. That last straw was when my husband watched the garbage man throw the can on the ground and drive off. We immediately called and cancelled our services. They informed us that we would be charged for them to come pick up their property. Well guess what they never came to pick it up, we had to call AGAIN. That was in Sept/Oct time period. Fast foward to March and we get a call from a collections agency saying we owe $55 for Republic Services.At NO time did republic service try to notify us in the months between. So we called yet again because obviously we are upset. We were told that someone would call within 24hrs. NEVER HAPPENED. Here we are a week later we called them back and basically they want us to bend over and take our money! Lousy costumer service. Dont wasre your time with them!
Horrible. They have missed trash pick up twice in a week since weve signed up with them. They assured us that they wouldnt miss it today and surprise surprise, they missed it. We will be switching services in their competitive market.
Ill give this no stars whatsoever, they threw some stuff out that was recyclable out in front of driveway. Not Professionals
