I’ve enjoyed my stay here so far. I really like the patio and the washer/dryer. The water pressure is good too.
Shannon was so good to me she helped me move from one state to another and has been an awesome person to work with. Trust that Shannon will get the job done.
The only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars is because the move out process went very smoothly. When I left, they were on their 3rd property manager. Not sure why, but I found that to be quite odd. The newest property manager, Shannon, was very pleasant to work with. Now to the actual apartment themselves. When we first moved in on May 24th 2020, we got the green light to be able to come receive our keys from the office and be able to move ahead with our move in process. When we got there with the Uhaul, and family who came and was helping us move, the office was closed. We tried calling, emailing, and called the emergency maintenance to get this figured out, eventually we got the keys, but this started off with a distasteful experience.Secondly, the atmosphere of the neighborhood and the area around it, it is not a place I would feel comfortable walking from my car to my apartment by myself at night, even if it is less that 50 feet away. It become a sense of normalcy to hear gunshots at night, hear people arguing with profanities, or glass being broken during the night and day time. The biggest issue I had with the apartment complex is that there are no cameras around the property. I brought this up with the property manager when my car was hit in the parking lot TWICE. I was enraged that someone had a hit and run on my car, not once but TWICE. Police reports were filed, and was given to the property manager, but nothing was done. The property manager (at the time was Tara), said that she brought this up to the owners attention that cameras were needed, but in the end was turned down. I’m assuming because the owner is stingy and does not care about their residents safety. My fiancé’s window wipers were also stolen, and the property manager didn’t believe us, and also blamed the raccoons from the dumpster. That not only is insulting my intelligence, but also raccoons are not able to get a window wiper from a car successfully excuse there are certain grooves that have to be maneuvered around to successfully detach a window wiper from a car. There is always hazardous glass by the dumpsters, suspicious people walking around at night, and the gate does not work 99% of the time I lived at Taylor Commons. Now for the inside of the property. This apartment complex is insanely old. I’m talking about not having ceiling lights except for the kitchen and dining room old. It was always dark inside the units. The property also does not have a microwave inside each unit. The floor was always dirty, I have no idea how a floor could be so dirty. I bought a $500 Bissel cross wave wet mop and vacuum combo, and I ran it across the floor multiple times, and still somehow if you walked the floor barefoot, the bottoms of your feet would become black. I’m assuming because the grout has never been cleaned in the many many years it has been there. The paint on the cabinets are cheaply painted, you would scratch your nail on the cabinets and it would pull up the paint. By the time we moved out, all of our belongings ended up having paint on the bottom of it. The wall behind the washer and drier had black mold, dirt, dust maybe? Pictures only gives it justice. It had to have been there for years and years, and when I promptly called the office to see if someone could come clean it, I was responded to with “I’m sorry, since you moved in all cleaning responsibilities are up to the resident”. Keep in mind, this was the day after we moved in. Other than the red and blue tiles being just an eye sore, those were easily fixed by putting sticky tiles on top of them to lessen the unattractiveness. I have to admit though, the washer and drier was nice, along with the amount of storage that you get with each unit.To wrap up this review, I’m sure some people have had great experiences with this complex. I unfortunately did not due to the property damage to my car and lack of safety. I do believe though, you get what you pay for.
Lived there for about 4 years. When i first moved in, the office staff was great, communication was amazing and everything was taken care of. I decided to move out of my loft to a regular 1 bedroom after having my baby and everything from there was a disaster. The office management had changed to different people that did not know how to communicate, the manager at the time had attitudes and didn’t take any responsibility for their mistakes. I filled out my new lease and when it was time for me to switch apartments, the manager had no idea what I was talking about ( I had everything packed up and ready to go ) she said that my apartment wasn’t ready and they had no idea that I was suppose to get my new keys. Asked me to give them a couple of days to get apartment ready. I got my keys on a Sunday ( which they are closed ) and the apartment was a mess. Roaches everywhere, blue walls, holes in doors, cabinet doors missing, like NOTHING was replaced. I had to wait until the next day to talk to office. Basically was told it was my fault for not giving them enough time to get apartment ready. I had to stay in a hotel for the first few days because painters had to come out and paint and i had a newborn at the time, the office took cabinets out of other apartments to put in mines ( which was a different color ) they had someone spray ( didn’t help ) and maintenance took pictures of everything else that was damaged that they wouldn’t fix ( holes in walls, carpet and still had blue paint on walls in some places. I was in and out of the office constantly for issues with the apartment and billing issues. Zelvyn was helpful during the time but the management was horrible. I moved out and was charged for some of the damages. The pictures disappeared or was never turned in so now i have to figure out how to pay. Oh and the apartments in certain parts are noisy. Kids will throw stuff at your windows, gun shots and it’s a few creeps in the apartments that don’t know how to take no for an answer and are vulgar towards some women.
My move in was excellent. They really helped me alot. It was open communication on the phone and through email. I was living almost a hour away and transferring jobs so it was no way that I could do anything in person. The process was so easy.....
Have not moved in yet and I have already noticed signs of disregard for tenants and accountability. Went in the office 05/16/2019 about 5:00 and the door was LOCKED. As I walked away the manager came to the door and unlocked/ opened it. I informed her that I would like to take a look at my unit before signing my lease 05/24/2019. She voiced understanding and advised me to contact the leasing agent. The manager expressed that the leasing agent would schedule an appointment with me when he was available. Please be mindful that she was talking at me and not to me. Our conversation lasted maybe 3 minutes. I called the leasing agent and he assured me that he would take a look at my unit and call me back to scheduled an appointment for me to view my unit. He told me that the apartment was in good shape and only needed some spot painting and a thorough cleaning. Ultimately he decided my unit should be ready to view 05/21/2019. I told him that I would come over right after work around 4:30 or 4:45 pm. He said,” Perfect”......Showed up at 4:40 pm 05/21/2019 and was completely disappointed. I told the leasing agent who I was and stated my reason for being there. He looked at me and said,” that unit is not ready “. I instantly expressed my displeasure in their lack of professionalism, complete disregard for my time and rudeness. The leasing agent confirmed with the manager that the unit wasn’t ready. She then went on to rudely say it’s not ready today, her move in date is not until the 24 so you can give her a call maybe tomorrow..... The leasing agent then defensively stated,” Technically we don’t have to have the unit ready until the 24 and we have no control over vendors.”- Your vendors didn’t schedule this appointment with me; you did.- You obviously never followed up with your vendors even though you had this appointment scheduled.- A simple phone call to let me know not to drive to your office would have made all of the difference. Then the young man had the nerve to ask me, “So what are you going to do?” To which I responded, “ I don’t know.” I started this process at the end of April and this is the unit that was assigned to me at that time. I really don’t understand how this is happening. This is so unsettling and definitely not how I would choose to start out a year lease. I have paid application fees, prorated rent, “administrative fees” and movers...
I have no problem at all 😊😊😊😊 the staffs are very helpful and it is a nice to place to stay, the maintenance guys they are awesome in keeping the community clean...
My experience with the Taylor Commons was displeasing to say the least. Maintenance requests are not handled with any urgency nor is there any follow up on the initial request put in! Several times we put in maintenance requests and no one ever came to handle the issue and we had to follow up on it several times. It got to the point were we just fixed the issues ourselves. Dont bother trying to decorate your porch as the neighborhood kids will steal anything and everything on it. Many times we had kids hanging out on our porch late at night since we were close to the pool and mail boxes. No sense of respect for others items or privacy. The neighbor below me had her back windshield of her car busted with a rock also by kids in the neighborhood. The cops came to visit issues at least a few times a month. And the cops get there before security does...Overall, I would not recommend anyone to live here. You will not have any respect for your things or your personal space. The office management can be difficult to deal with as well.
Loved living here. Recently Moved out from these lovely apartments because of relocating for a new job. Location was great, facilities were clean and well maintained. Management was always caring and there for any questions or concerns. Would definitely recommend living here!
This is a great place to live its quiet has everything around that you need: Walmart and eating places are just right down the highway. As far as it being loud with the kids of course it will be a lil loud it was the summertime. What caught my eye was the exercise room. God bless
Our leasing experience with Yvonne so far has been amazing at Taylor Commons! Everyone we’ve come into contact with here have been wonderful and so helpful. Any questions I’ve had have all been handled professionally and quick. Go see Yvonne, she’s great!
There are a lot on noisy neighbors, wild pool party, couples fighting in destroying others property, they don’t have cameras not even by the office, weed smoke threw vents and lien neighbors! I lived here ten months and at the end is when it started getting bad. The lady manager in the office I thought she was sweet Intell one day she was very disrespectful to me and my guest ... I’ve always payed my rent in full and own time never had any complaints but yet she was very rude and unprofessional! I have sent family’s to this apartments to apply but I definitely regret it ..... I gave them four stars because over all my stay was good intell the end !
Great community! The staff is always helpful and friendly. Maintenance is usually pretty quick to respond to requests.
Used to live here, I enjoyed it. Cozy space and management was very friendly. Left because I moved out of state.
I lived for a year and it was horrible, it could be better if they change the staff, theres this lady named Nallely that has a really bad attitude with the residents, and you cant do nothing cuz there were more neighbors having issues with her and when we tried to complain w the manager she always but they never did anything to change her attitude. In my personal opinion It was the worst place Ive ever Leasing And is not because of the units, It was the bad attention we had. This was real and if theres any concern. Ill be more than happy to give details.Thanks.
Disgusting PEST, theres rarely visitors PARKING available after 8:30pm and your guest will be TOWED!! LOUD music, vulgar kids and pool parties at night during the summer. Gunshots at night on multiple occasions, the presence of security on the property is inconsistent.
I KNOW WHY YOU ARE HERE...A little about me... first... I dont spell check reviews, I rarely complain about anything, because nobody really cares...The GoodCheap and close to fort worth, washer and dryer comes with apartment. grounds crew is active and cleans up every day. They respond to work notices fast, real issues only bs like your light bulb is out is not a landlord issue... there is a sense of community here everyone looks out for each other and that is good.no car break ins or apartment break ins we got a lot of old people always on the look out, ready to talk you to death. The staff is small only two girls are in the office at any given time. so if they are showing an apartment or at lunch it will be closed no, night drop off box but you have 4 days to turn in rent after the due day and you can pay online, but they will sell your email and information. Pool is always open so that is nice but tons of kids are always there, I have never used the pool or weight room, because its a pool and a weight room at an apartment complex. 20 bucks and you get better stuff at your local gym. Parking is not an issue, night time security and the kids are pretty lacks they just walk around all day. The place has become much better in my one year time here, they have made it look much nicer and modern. The BadThe management is not very organized and I blame the owners, the girls are just baby sitters of this property, they are not given free range to run the property to a higher standard. Like why are paper notices being left on doors still its 2017 and wind still happens so why are notes explaining important issues like water shut down, parking change, construction etc being left not pined to the door but between the door and the wall. They got all of our emails and phone numbers yet I never get a notification on either of them...? like why, you could save close to 12k dollars on paper and ink. why are you building a gym, with old equipment? like this is money that could go into anything like fixing the gate that has only closed twice since I got here, or getting security cameras that work? Pest control on the air vents, redoing the parking lines so a car can actually fit, in one parking spot. The TruthThis place is ok, but you really gotta expect what you pay for, example pest control will only do pest control of the kitchen, and use weaker stuff than at the store. I bought a pest vent bomb. put it in your vent turn on the air, and it kills every thing all over the apartment, 30 bucks. you will get the loud music every now and again, and you will hear gun fire in the far distance, because its Texas and they love their guns, grocery story poor only a Walmart so no fresh meat. In my time here i have seen 1 domestic assault and 2 major building issues (balcony fell in and window blown in by bad weather). so the apartment gets a pass its a great place if your a baller on a budget or just trying make it. My electric bill lowest was 23.30 and high was 59.36, water 38/50. I lived in a town house for 760 800sqft, one bed one bath, my only issues is the lack of communication they towed a friends car of mines, which is annoying because if your gates worked then people coming here to park wouldnt be an issue. More over, why do you have a towing company come in and tow, when there are 20 plus spots open at any given time? This is a scam and just another way to take from your own customers, if the towing company doesnt pay you a piece you are simply hindering your customers, and if you do get a piece of that you are at best scumbags. I got my friends car back for free because in my contract it said the visitor pass was valid, the pass was in the car, in order to legally change this you must notify me and get a documented response or prove you tried to reach me with 3 separate forms of communication, and since she only posted notes on doors that just blew away if you didnt get home in time, she knew she had to repay me. She tried to play hard ball but once i point out Texas laws she wasnt about that life. 6/10
They are very helpful and sweet
I dont recommend these apartments. No security, people are too loud, children are unsupervised, and staff dont seem to care who they allow to live here.
So far I’ve been having bad experiences.
This place needs to be shut down all they are doing in committing fraud, taking people money & not giving them anything for it Dont let them tell you they got other one on the same floor plan as the one you are supposed to get DONT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY RUN LIKE HELL this office surely needs to be investigated AND PEOPLE FIRED ** ( ME PERSONALLY I FEEL THE BACKGROUND CHECKS SHOULD BE FREE . THEY SHOULD ONLY CHARGED IF YOUR BACKGROUND DONT GO THROUGH )
To expensive.
