I always love getting my hair done at First Impressions! It is a clean, cute, environment that always makes you feel welcome! The color on my hair always looks amazing and the stylist really listens to what I am wanting done and making the vision I have a reality. I love how relaxed I feel after my visit. My stylist is always up to date on the latest trends in hair and is continually doing trainings and learning in her profession. I’m always so pleased with my experience that I would recommend this salon over and over again!

Can not say enough nice things about this salon! First, they helped me get an appointment before vacation. I was thrilled!My stylist, Peyton was fabulous. She gave me a great cut, color and highlights. Her bubbly personality made the time fly by.All of the staff were friendly, and I will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

I always like to give the good before the bad so my eye brows are amazing and would definitely do them again but it is a hefty $30 for eyebrow wax. Now the Brazilian, NEVER AGAIN! First off they don’t use hard wax, they put the wax on and then use the strips. I wish that were the worst part... so instead of “wasting” sticks by going back for wax each time she took a bunch out and put it on her glove. She didn’t have all the supplies near so the wax cooled quickly. It felt like she was scraping my skin off trying to smear the wax on. The wax didn’t even pull the hair out it just broke it off. I got it done Friday and by Monday I already had regrowth. The lady was kind but I don’t feel she is qualified in body hair removal. When I noted that the wax was tacky (it was hurting badly) she noted you want it to be. If I had never been waxed before maybe I would have thought differently of this experience but having had far better experiences I won’t return for a Brazilian.

I have been getting my hair done with Andrea K. for 16 years now and I will never go anywhere else! Her talent and training are evident every time I go in. My daughter has also had her hair done multiple times by other stylists and weve never been anything by happy! Jen is also the most talented esthetician weve ever been to. My eyebrows were awful after years of them being waxed wrong at other salons, but Jen has been able to shape and fill them in beautifully. Even my 16 year old daughters friends rave about her gorgeous eyebrows! The entire staff is awesome and very knowledgeable about their services and products. We will be clients for life!

WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE. I have never had a such a relaxing waxing session like this ever. But WOW. This is not your typical rush in and rush out waxing service. Jen was FABULOUS. I loved the mini massage, hot towels, soothing music, and the essential oils. On top of that, it was not nearly as painful as other places I have been. You have earned aaaaall my business!!

Every time I come into the salon, I’m always greeted by stylists as well as the ladies at the front desk. Arianna always kills it for me with different cuts and colors. This is one of the best salons in Fort Wayne, from cleanliness to quality of service, you always get your money’s worth at First Impressions!

I tried this place out after my current place closed down and needed a haircut. Not knowing who my stylist would be I got Andrea G. She is super social and made my time in the chair great. It felt like I had been coming here forever and Andrea were old friends. She did a great job on my hair and I believe I will continue to come back.

I was so disappointed by first impressions....3 different times. First, they messed up my husbands appointment so they gave him a gift card. I decided to use it for a haircut. My appointment was with Katelyn. I just asked to trim off an inch and thin it out a bit, nothing fancy. I was happy at first but when I washed out the style and brushed my hair I couldnt believe how uneven it was. I called back and they said a different girl would fix it for free. Although I requested to come when Katelyn wasnt working to avoid the awkwardness, I was scheduled 2 feet away from her and she didnt say a word to me the entire time. Didnt apologize or try to see why I came back in. The girl scheduled to fix my hair was very nice but the original cut was so bad, it needed to be completely redone. And instead this woman just kept straightening my hair and using mens trimmers to try to even it out. She was unable to make it even so after an hour I told her never mind. I had to go to my previous stylist and get another 2 inches cut off to have this all fixed. Really just cant believe how this was all handled and that 2 different stylist didnt see a problem with the hack job cut I was given.

I love First Impressions and would recommend this salon to anyone searching for a new stylist and/or salon. The Aveda and Davines products used are amazing. Everyone there is friendly, talented and helpful. I look forward to every appointment with Andrea!

Jen Ratzlaff is the absolute best!!!!! I see her for eyebrow waxing and dermaplaning!! She makes the whole experience relaxing and has such a gentle touch. I feel like I’m at the spa! I always look forward to my appointments, and I never miss one!

The stylist was nice. Only thing I really didnt like was the way she cut my hair. She blowed dried it and then trimed an inch off. Like literaly pulled by hair back and took off an inch. She did not section it. I have gotten my hair cut plenty of times and this was the first time were my hair was just dried pulled back and cut straight across.

Amazing! I have naturally curly hair, tough to cut right? At FI they have the trained professionals who are always on the cutting edge. The staff are always learning and growing. Best Products to fit your lifestyle... My personal fav is the Davies line of products! #bestsaloninfortwayne

I have been to three stylists here and they are all wonderful! I was a client of the owner for years even before she bought this salon. She is AMAZING! Now that she is the owner and doesnt spend as many hours cutting hair, I mainly go to Katelyn, who I love! The salon has a nice selection of products and services available as well.

I have a gift card from there from years ago and I just called to see if I could turn it back in or get a different one I guess and she said just to bring it in. Havent had time to do it yet.

I love this salon. Michaela is a fantastic stylist with a specialty in color. The salon is cute and homey. I especially love the shampoo chairs. I could spend hours getting shampooed with no neck pain.

Ive been here twice and I have had great experiences both times. This time I had Terri and she was great! She listened to my concerns and problems with my hair and past haircuts, and absolutely delivered. Love how it turned out, I would definitely recommend her and this salon.

Hello sass.The salon is a cute little house sandwiched between a couple of strip malls (Banh Mi Barista and One Fine Day bridal). Hair services are downstairs. Esthetician services upstairs. I think Terri did a fabulous job. I told her I was giving her creative license to do whatever she wanted and Im happy with the results.And it was such a luxurious experience. Terri totally pampered me with a scalp massage and some other nice little touches. Thanks so much, Terri!Oh...also...this is my natural hair color. I had no idea what it looked like since Id been coloring it for so long before chemo made me bald. Now its growing back and this is the color. In this photo, it looks like my hair is black and silver but my eyebrows are brown. I dont color either of them.

Katelyn cut my hair and did a great job. She was also very informative on products used. Very nice place and staff as well.

After going to the same lady at another salon for 6+ years, I was nervous to start somewhere new and put my trust in someone. I chose Baleigh Bolin after viewing some of the stylists pages on Instagram. She did an OUTSTANDING job and gave me EXACTLY what I had in mind and from what I showed her. She was so personable and friendly with GREAT energy. And I never plan on choosing anyone else to touch my hair again!! The atmosphere is amazing, there’s a nice head massage and hot towel treatment when you’re getting your hair washed and that was the perfect touch! I felt SO comfortable and cannot wait to go back already! Perfect prices and amazing staff!

My cut and wash were very good. Pricey compared to other locations. Staff is very pleasent and offered coffe, water and probably have additional beverages available while you wait or while you are being taken care of. If you dont mind the extra price, great place to go

Received a 7 hours $80 haircut.Made an appointment for a color correction, highlights and a hair cut. Paid $156 and was there for 7 hours only to walk put with the same color hair only shorter.The owner called me the next Monday to see if everything was okay and when I didnt answer with oh yes, Im so happy she got defensive and rude.She did refund half of my bill...So if you like and can afford $80 haircuts..by all means...this is the place to go...
