Melissa and her staff have always been helpful, kind and patient whenever I had a question, concern or claim I wanted to get resolved. Melissa has the biggest heart! She will do whatever she can for someone with in the allowed limits that State Farm sets for her. I had worked for Melissa for over 9 1/2 years before changing careers. I’ve watched her personally deliver death benefits to a grieving family. Give clients rides to their doctor visits, rides to rental car companies, rides to body shops or were ever they needed to go. Melissa has taken calls in the over night hours to get claims started for people. Melissa is one of the few agents that gives her clients her personal phone number to call her whenever they need her. I watched her drive to Indianapolis on a Saturday morning to make sure a family was taken care of when a tree had fallen on their home the week before Christmas. She made sure that they had a place to stay, all their necessities, and gave them the Christmas tree from our office because, their’s was destroyed. She’s has taken time away from her family after hours to meet and, take care of her clients. While on vacation she had called claims and underwriting to get things resolved for her clients. Is she human? Yes, I’ve seen her make mistakes but, when she does, she owns them and, does her best to correct them. Even though I haven’t work for her in nearly 2 years, she is still my agent and always will be!

We had state farm insurance through Melissa Satterthwaite for years. Overall it was terrible. They never fought for us when we had any claims, and it seemed like they always took the easy way out. Melissa her self was rude and caught in several lies. She would call one family member and say one thing, and then call another with a different story, she just didn’t realize we were together during the time of the phone calls. It was very said that this is how State Farm lets their name be represented. I do not trust Melissa with something as important as car insurance. I usually don’t leave such negative reviews but I feel like people should know so they could protect themselves. I thought a longtime before writing this, so save your self some frustration, time, and money.

Melissa, Misty, and Nicki have always been great with their customer service. My family and I have been customers with them for too many years to count. No matter when something happens, they are always available to talk and help you through your situation. I have had some crazy things happen to my car and have always easily gotten coverage. There were a couple of times that I called, bursted into tears, and was met with compassion and a calming voice. These ladies derserve every star possible for this review because they honestly go above and beyond their job description to help you out the best they can.

She was my parents insurance agent first. When I first needed Melissa and State Farm, I went from a totaled 3 month old vehicle, and a shattered clavicle to not having to worry about med bills and replacing the Jeep in 5 days!!It happened on a Sat morning. And we were able to reach Melissa....from the ER room.She got the claim going before Mon am...it went very well considering, and any problems were because I didnt understand the system.Little late on the review...it was two years ago.
