We were notified via mail (as opposed to calling/texting/emailing) the cancellation of our auto policy due to a defaulted payment. Donald Gill: Allstate was so slow in responding to our defaulted payment that they let us drive without insurance for SEVEN days. They even delayed sending out the letter. Again, SEVEN DAYS WE WERE DRIVING UNINSURED.I have never been treated like this by any insurance company in my 32 years of being insured, nor have I ever defaulted on a payment. I value what insurance companies do for people, but this particular insurance companys tactics are odd. I even gave the company the benefit of the doubt and followed up with my bank. They said the funds were in my account at the time of the alleged withdrawal and in addition, there WAS a withdrawal by Allstate on the defaulted date. IF we did default, why were we not contacted via phone? Why were we not contacted via email? I am curious as to why they would let a customer drive without insurance for seven days, even delaying sending their correspondence to us.I would also appreciate a response from Donald Gill, but this might be a tall order given that we have never had a conversation with the man and according to other customers reviews online, this is his reputation: lack of response. Buddy and his agency in Fort Smith is the absolute best In the world. Outside of that, he is also just a great guy! I started with him in college and havent left because he is always so responsive and helpful. He will explain anything you need and will help you get the absolute best price and set up that he can. He us very honest and doesnt ever make things harder. Ive had the worst luck with cars the last 6 months and every step of the way he has helped us out. Thanks again for all you do!

In good hands with Allstate. What a joke. High winds that damaged Roland. Knocked out powers for days a tree fell on my house. Buddy was non responsive, I had just had a cow butchered. Tons of meat in the deep freezers. Called Allstate they told me to go get a generator. There was none available for rent. Harbor freight was sold out so I went to Lowe’s. When it came time for Allstate to fit the bill they refused. Still have paid a dime on it. A tree fell on my house. They didn’t wanna replace the roof??? WTC are you serious... they wanted to spot fix it tree limbs had gone through my roof. It took 3 adjusters and about 2 months to get one to replace the roof. The first guy was a no show second didn’t even wanna climb up there. During that time we verified that we had rental coverage on our vehicles. They said we had it. No worries right? Wrong.... 8 months later I’m in Minnesota hit a deer. Caves in the front of my truck, call in my claim. No rental coverage. We had asked 3 different people buddy when we signed up if we had it answer was yes. Wrong.... then 2 guys on the Allstate 1800# website. They both said yes.... funny when I need it the answer is no. So I hit the deer no one will tell me where to have my vehicle towed to or who to call or anything 1800# says all circuits are busy. Can’t get through to anyone with Allstate except buddy and he’s absolutely NO HELP. I’m in Minnesota not from here don’t know anything about the place and can’t get help from anyone. No rental cause they screwed me on that one don’t have a credit card on me so absolutely no rental. I’m screwed all thanks to Allstate! So much for good hands right. Do yourself a favor and go with someone else I had a cut rate car insurance the only other time I hit a deer and was treated way better than this. Buddy is nothing but a salesman, but I’ve seen use care salesmen with more scruples than this man. The reason I say the Donald aka Buddy has no scruples is I was on hold when corporate called him and asked him about it and he told them it was the first he’d heard about it when he’d been asked repeatedly. He’s POS. And Allstate is a bunch of crooks.

Never had an issue with them at all. Today I needed a tow for my vehicle and called upon Allstate to help me out. At first I tried calling a tow company myself and they said it would take an hour and half to get to me. Allstate got me a tow within a third that time and I was able to make it to the repair shop before they closed. And I forgot how much I had in benefits so I ended up getting a free tow.
