My rear break line went out on me as fast as I put break fluid in it came out. I spoke with Toby he gave me a ball park figure. He said they had a back log of vehicles to service. So I had it towed in. They replaced the break lines from the master cylinder to the rear had it completed in 1 day which was unexpected. They stuck within the ball park figure so needless to say I would highly recommend this business. Thanks guys!

This is my opinion. I had an appointment to have my brakes check on my truck. I was told they would schedule me later due to lack of parts.When I called to get more information the next day I was told by the manager that the back bay was 10 days backlogged with repairs and I should call someone who gives a ****! Very disappointed in their professionalism. They should have just told me when I made the appointment that they cant do the job they are too busy. I could have scheduled with a real company.

I’d gone to a local chain for an alignment. They quoted $1,300 for parts and labor. I went to Hickman’s on the recommendation of my mechanic, and ended up having them do the job. They replaced more parts than the original estimate from the other place, and charged me $500 less! I never even told them about the other quote. I just went there again on Saturday, thinking I needed a new alignment. I’d done some work on my Durango a couple weeks earlier. They showed me that I’d done the wrong side, and didn’t even charge me for a diagnosis! My son will be taking his first car there in the next couple of weeks, too. I trust them with the lives of my family, and recommend them to anyone who asks.

I bought brand new tires a few months ago and they were the best price in town when i ran over something and had to replace on of my tires, they had It in the next morning when i came in to have the tire put on i asked how long it might take because i was running short on time they assured me It wouldn’t be long, they got me in and out very fast

I sent my 1968 charger ( my baby) to elpex in fort pierce I couldnt be happier with the work that they did and the price was excellent.These are very honest people and very knowledgeable.Had to leave the car overnight and they took care of it like it was there own car. Went there for an alignment didnt feel the difference at all....worse thing is they left all 4 lug nuts on the front right tires loose it was making a weird noise so I checked and found the problem. Also they filled my tires to 55 psi when it says not to fill over 40 psi. Very dissatisfied

Our experience with Hickman especially Ed and others at the counter was exceptional. WE needed to get to North Carolina in our RV to help a friend who just had surgery to remove some cancer. Hickman s was recommended to us by another shop add the place to go for work on our 38 foot motor home. At one point there were 5 or 6 other RV s there as well. Big trucks, heavy loads, big parts, need specialty tools add specialty trained mechanics and service writers. Ed Took care of me and spent my money as if it was coming out of his own pocket. Nothing was done cheaply, no corners were cut, but he advised me what needed doing right now and what could wait a bit. Another shop quoted me over $3000. Ed quoted me around 1500 and more work was involved in his quote...I had to drive a bit to get there and stayed at a campground while they waited on parts- he even knew the right park to send me to. Awesome people, and I know the job was done right!!! If I need tires, brakes, alignment etc. And im within a few days drive, Ill take the trip because they are absolutely worth the drive. Peace of mind driving this thing is tops for me. After Hickmans did the work, I can concentrate on driving this without worrying about brakes, alignment, etc.. theyre right off 95

Definitely recommend! They were extremely helpful during a stressful situation. We were out of town on a road trip when the alternator went out... they made sure they had one in stock and replaced it right then. Great mechanic shop with guys who knows there stuff

Ive now brought my car to Hickmans for two distinct issues recently and have nothing but positive to say about their front desk folks, Toby especially, and the actual mechanics. They took care of both problems w/aplomb & at very reasonable costs. It is not often that I can heartily endorse a mechanics shop but I can do so w/an honest conscience for Hickmans. Theyve earned my respect and Ill be bringing my car to them for other routine services.

I was broken down with a bad wheel hub, Toby had me up and running in 6 hours at a fair price. If you need anything especially tires or suspension work for your car, pick up, camper or class 8 truck stop buy they will take care of you.

My whole family has been taking their vehicles to Hickmans for years, they are the best and most honest in Fort Pierce! You can always count on them to treat your vehicle with the best service possible.

First couple of times I found front desk extremely informative and helpful. Once was invited by the owner to a photo wall where he discussed the family business - very pleasant and cordial.Only negative - dropped fiances car off first thing this morning 7:30 a.m. for front end work, called at 2:42 and she was told kind of matter of factly - we havent gotten to it yet but will sometime this afternoon, to which fiance replied, but it is afternoon. I understand work loads but from 7:30 a.m. to 2:42 ????Aside from the aformentioned, fair quotes are given, techs take the time to explain what was done and in one instance actually saved me a significant amount of money correcting a problem that I was led to believe were struts but was accurately diagnosed as an anti-sway bar (saved over $200).Follow-up to the above. I never received a follow-up to the call placed by my fiance and its 5:45 p.m. so we decided to just drive down to Hickmans and pick up her car. As noted above, most of the staff are friendly but the two who were working the front desk when we arrived had an air of almost indifference which I found to be offensive. The one staff (older gentleman with a curly mustache) said he would check to see if my fiances car had been worked on - I could have saved him the trip because it was parked in the exact same spot we left it this morning at 7:30 a.m. There was also a white haired lady who Im assuming is the one who spoke to my fiance earlier when she called to inquire as to the status of her car. As she walked from one counter to another, assisting another customer she kind of looked at us over her glasses but said nothing.Sorry Hickman, but you just lost a repeat customer.... I was going to bring my car in for some work but will go elsewhere.

Went in with some front end rattles and needing an alignment. They inspected thouroughly and found that the rattle is inconsequential and aligned the front end. The alignment was lower than quoted and I have 24s. Wont take my truck anywhere else.Great show.
