Do not trust this business!!!FACTS:On Thursday 03/19/2020 at approximately 1:00pm I brought my 2017 Nissan in to Aamco located in Fort Pierce FL on US1 to have the A/C diagnosed as it was no longer blowing cold.As shown in the attached screenshots, Aamco promotes professional and honest A/C work.While sitting in the Customer waiting area I could not help but to hear the complete slander and verbal, vulgar bashing that was taking place between the owner and the front desk attendant regarding a previous customer of theirs that came in to have their 2014 Ram transmission serviced (as referenced in the review below from Eric.)(Disclaimer: I do not know nor have I ever spoken to the individual that had the issues with their dodge truck at this location, I merely referenced the review as I noticed from the story that was being portrayed an exact match)After what could not have possibly been more than 10 minutes of sitting in the lobby waiting for my A/C to be diagnosed, this mechanic walks in to the office and advises the front desk attendant that my vehicle needs a Compressor, a Drier, and an Expansion Valve. The mechanic continued on to say that the Expansion Valve was leaking very bad.The front desk attendant then started working on a written estimate for repair. During this time I researched the retail parts on AutoZone (included in pictures) to get an estimate in my head and to compare prices for parts considering the expectation that commercial accounts with Auto Parts companies get a discounted price.The finalized written estimate came to $1,400. When given the breakdown the price they were charging for parts alone came to about $1,000 (double retail value). My only regret is not keeping the written estimate as this would now be a lawsuit if I had.Upon taking my vehicle to get a second opinion. The refrigerant was extremely low signifying that there is a small leak somewhere. The system was recharged, dye was added in order to locate the leak and the problem has been resolved without the need of a Compressor, a Drier/Condenser, nor an Expansion Valve. They did not even bother to check the pressure in the system.Please, if you have read this far... do not give this place your time of day!!!

I took my Dodge journey 2015 to the shop because shakes a speed of 35 and up. We have charge me $1475 for unnecessary repairs and he gave me the car back after one week with the same problem, When I called him back and I told him that they still have the same problem in the car the show me that I have to tune it up and I have to pay an extra at five or $600 for a tuneup. shSo the $1475 did not fix the the problem at all.

A few weeks back I started to have engine troubles, and this location was conveniently near my moms. I went and was suprised by the hospitality of the staff as they offered to help me find the most economical option that I could afford as a graduate student. Normally, Im pushed to the side since I dont know much about auto parts but here they took the time to explain what was going on with my car. Overall it was a reasonable price that didnt break the bank.Im grateful for the kind service and the help. My cars been working like a charm ever since.

I was very pleased with Rick and his mechanic at Aamco. I brought in my Ford Expedition which had a check engine light on due to a stuck fuel injector. After dropping it off they checkied it out and found that i had had reinstalled my fuel rail incorrectly. They saved me a ton of money because of thier expert knowledge. They could have easily went ahead with the anticipated repair charging me hundreds of dollars to replace them, that speaks volumes of integrity. Thanks Aamco! Youve earned a solid customer.

The people at the Fort Pierce location do not keep their word. They do not return calls as promised. They seem to give no consideration that they are dealing with people. People who need their vehicles back in a timely manner. I have no intentions of ever referring them for service to any one. My husband and I are highly displeased.

I spoke to Rick during the process of getting my transmission checked because I couldn’t use 5th, 6th, or reverse in my 6MT. He assured me that they will have to pull it down to see the problem and if the cost is too much for the rebuild we would check other options. He called me back with great news didnt need much just had bolts loose and simply needed to be tightened. The HONESTY of this guy is amazing man, 5 stars from me they come highly recommended by me because another shop could have milked me for money I didn’t have I am happy with the outcome great job guys.

This place is a joke in December I bought a 2012 Nissan quest a week later I brought it to aamco for a inspection with concerns about the transmission $129 later they said everything was all good checked out well never got a report or anything just so 3 months after that the transmission went out some check they did that they had the car for over 48hours to add to this I called them to see how much it would be to replace the transmission they said it would be just over $6000 and a one year warranty and that the dealership would charge 9000 so I went to the dealer and it was almost half of there price 3700 with 4 year warranty what a scam

The service was great and I have nothing to complain about. The people were very professional and took care of my car issues without any back and forth. I was having issues with my starter and had my car towed to this AAMCO through the AAA service and my car was fixed immediately!

After driving from NY to Port St Lucie, our 2010 Ford Expedition’s transmission gave out on us. Rick, Jason and the team at AAMCO Fort Pierce / PSL rebuilt our transmission Christmas week and we got our truck back in 3 days! Jason got us financed and with no down payment we got our car back shifting like new. Can’t say enough about this shop. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

I don’t write reviews but I had to post this because Jason at the Fort Pierce AAMCO was my guardian angel. I broke down in Port St Lucie this past Monday and this shop picked up my call at 9pm. He towed me in and I took an Uber to a hotel. Turns out this was not a major transmission failure and Jason had me back on the road by Tuesday. He could have sold me a new transmission but he was honest and fixed what was necessary. I wish I lived close by so I can always bring my car to this shop. Thanks a million Jason and crew.

I went to get a quote on a clutch replacement for my 2007 mini cooper s and they said it would be 3,500 dollars and that the dealership would charge over 6,000 I went to a mechanic and he left it like new for 350 dollars now something aint right there numbers dont lie!

I have been using Aamco for several years now. So far so good. After a repair, if I ever had a problem, they would make it good.

I remember I went there in 2019 and got an estimate for 2200 to rebuild the transmission on my ford explorer 2002, the man told me the pistons and cylinders were bad, but I said nothing because I know a little of mechanic, the transmission has not pistons and cylinders, just the engine has... then I came home and got a used celenoids for 40 and replaced them by myself

I had a Great Experience! Patti the front desk lady was AWESOME! She was helpful and answered all my questions. I had to get my rear main seal replaced and she made me feel very comfortable with leaving my car there for a few days. My car was done early, only took a day but they saw my check engine light was on and asked if wanted to replace the ABS sensor while it was there. So I did and when I picked up the car Patti was off but the two gentlemen in the office were Very Nice and took care of any questions I had. I will recommend this shop to anyone that I know that needs car repairs done. Customer Service Was Excellent!

As a woman sometime I feel worry about getting ripped off on car repairs but Alex Garth made feel like he honestly is going to do a good job.

Was having issues with my transmission making noises. Took it in to get it checked out. First thing that went through my mind is this is going to be very expensive. To my surprise the noise was a simple fix, u joints were bad. Not only did the manager Steven save me money but he and his team at the shop worked quickly to get my vehicle back on the road. If anyone ever has any issues with there vehicles. This is the shop you want to go to.

My car has symptom of transmission problem, it jitters at some point when accelerating. I brought the car there to check, they told me it was engine misfire and it takes 900 to fix it. I dont think it was engine problem so I took the car for second opinion. Magically, after I drove the 2nd day, my car shook badly and check engine light was on. I spent $300 to fix the engine problem, and the original problem was transmission and I fixed it at dealership. I am stating facts and you make your judgement.

Came in thinking I needed a new transmission ready to spend $3000 or more ended up spending less then $500 they didn’t have the part but ordered it and it was delivered within 30 minutes. I had the pleasure of sitting in the office with the owner very friendly guy full of stories and points of view. I will definitely be coming back to this location the drive from Sebastian was well worth it

These guys are amazing!!! my car has been down since 1/6/19 and noone could figure out why the transmission was leaking. they offered a tow to them which would be free with a major repair. tow was there within 30 mins and within 2 hours they called me the issues pertaining to the car and here it 2 days later and it is done, running great, thanks to these guys 1 have wheels again after 7 months. I highly recommend them to everyone!!! Cory who works there is a great and personable and helped me through everything. What a great asset to Aamco.

I thought I might need a new transmission. It seemed all my spark plugs were burnt. I bought the car used. Saved me about half the price of a tranny, but $1400 seemed steep. But the car runs fine. They are honest.

I was down from Georgia when I noticed a drive train noise in my 4X4 pickup truck. I took it to Aamco in Ft. Pierce and received excellent service. Rodney, the manager, took the time to answer my questions and explain everything that was wrong and what needed to be done. Basically my transfer case was trashed due to shoddy work at another repair shop. Rodney did his best to get me back on the road quickly with a new transfer case. It was a large bullet to bite but the folks at Aamco Ft. Pierce made it as painless as possible. Thanks guys.

Poor customer service! Unable to diagnose minor vehicle issues. Doesnt understand how warranty companies work. Save yourself the headache and find a real shop to do the work. -- Update from 1 star to 3 stars -- My vehicle was fixed appropriately and I am satisfied with the work preformed. After speaking with the owners, they are working on the customer service issues and have since hired knowledgeable, skilled technicians. My warranty company paid 100% of the repair costs.

If you havent met Kurt and Tim at the Aamco on US 1 in Ft. Pierce, then youre missing a treat. Armed with the ignorance of a very novice DIY mechanic, I brought my Kia Rio to them for a mysterious problem. As I offered possible reasons for the situation, they were courteous enough not to laugh in my face, but educated me on the inter-workings of my car.Though the question of where all my transmission fluid was going, since it wasnt in the pan nor all over the car, they offered a preventative solution and told me to keep checking in with them so they could monitor the car and make sure there was no more problems.Honestly, these guys were sincere, extremely helpful, and did not try to overcharge me in any way. Aamco in fort pierce has no loyalty to its customer. I brought my 2000 firebird to get transmission looked at. They replaced my transmission and during testing my engine blew. Kurt and team replaced my transmission and engine. 7000.00 job. I then had my window and water pump replaced. I was a loyal customer until my last experience. My car would not start. Had my car towed to Aamco. They replaced my starter and neutral safety switch, a 500.00 job. This did not fix the problem. They said they needed an open ended authorization to trouble shoot the problem. I was not comfortable with this agreement and payed my bill and had the car towed to my house. The car arrived with the windows down and the electronics mal functioning. I strongly recommend if u r looking for loyalty do not go to aamco in fort pierce.

The ft pierce office is the worst place I have ever been in my life. The website doesnt have the correct hours I called to make an appointment and the receptionist was nice and I made my appointment. When I showed up at my appointment time there was three guys just chatting away and didnt even acknowledge I was even there I stood there like an idiot for over ten minutes and they didnt even say they would be right with me or anything I was so peeved I left if I could give no stars I would!

The service was very honest. They made sure to let me know all the areas that needed fixed and only fixed the ones I chose. After I picked up the vehicle, I pointed out a problem and they offered to fix it for the cost of the parts only--no charge for labor.

I paid $2,700 to fix my transmission. When I got my car back its like they didnt fix anything. When I spoke to them about my car they said I had to pay another $3,000 to get it fixed again. I told them that I did not have the money for it so they withdrew the grantee agreement. This makes me so mad. Five days after I got my car from AAMCO it would not even start. This is a disgraceful business that takes advantage of young people.

They were great with helping us! Firestone told us it was the transmission so we went to AAMCO because we have the transmission under warranty with them. BUT after the guys here looked at the car they said it was the electrical system and fixed the problem. We havent had anything wrong with it since!

My car went into limp mode because of a transmission problem. They didn’t have the tool to fix it, claiming I had engine issues. Spend 800$ my car still in limp mode . Keep your money

I had a custom rebuilt AAMCO transmission installed in my truck by AAMCO less than a year ago, just recently started having the same problems with this transmission, the warranty is 36mo/50,000 mi. The service manager first told me that it was the solonoids which were replaced when the rebuilt transmission was installed, when l got home l looked at my invoice and there was a $300.00 dollarge charge for them, when l brought this to the attention of the service manager by phone call she said that she told me it was the valve body and that they could repair my transmission for $1,200 for a new valve body, now as l stated earlier this is the same reason l had the transmission replaced in the first place, l didnt mention that the job they did already cost me almost $3,900 dollars,l believe they are a total rip off / scam artist would not ever do business with them again.

Save yourself the money and headaches, this owner knows nothing about car repair or customer service. $4400.00 later I no longer have a usable vehicle. They like to point fingers and take no responsibility for their actions.

DO NOT USE THIS STORE. I USED THIS STORE ONLY BECAUSE AAA RECOMMENDED. PLEASE READ BELOW.Aamco Of Fort Pierce replaced my Toyota alternator recently. Since the repair, I have had new, troubling vibration and grinding sound from the front end of my car.At the beginning of this process, the service manager told me that he could order a non manufacturer part for around $520 or a Toyota manufactured part for $650. I needed my car repaired quickly, so I went with the more expensive option to have it back when I needed it. The price I was ultimately charged for the part was 650$, less the $50 AAA discount listed on my receipt. The entire job totaled ~$825.Once I had the vehicle back, the odd, heavy vibration and grinding noises began in the front end of my car. Yesterday, my battery was spewing acid and smoking. I do not know if the battery is directly related; I had the battery replaced and will know in a short time span if the alternator is overcharging the battery, as it will surely happen again if that is the case.My main concern, though, is that I visually examined the alternator today while trying to see if I could tell where the vibration was coming from. The alternator has a sticker on it that says REMANUFACTURED IN CHINA. Again, the highest price that I could find anywhere for this part NEW was $450, yet I was charged $650. The kicker is, I didnt even get a NEW part. I got a part that is remanufactured. And at worst, the job of these experts putting in the part has clearly caused problems that I was not having before.I called today and spoke with who I was told was the service manager at this location. I asked him if he could put the part that I paid for in my car, or at least refund me the difference. He was very dismissive and told me several times that I have a one year warranty and he can check if the alternator is working. (The warranty is a 12,000 mile warranty, not one year.) He said that if he deems it working, he would not replace or refund the difference for the part. He said Did you not get an alternator? Does it not work? Do you know how quick you wanted me to do the job? Thats the only part I could get that quick.DO NOT USE THIS SHOP
