After relocating to Illinois we hired a Realtor and had our house in the market for over a year. Talking to one of our friends about this situation, she suggested to hire a different real estate agent and she recommended Marina Sarabia. We were in Florida for a few days and Marina made accommodations to met with us and to explain us her plan of action. After moving to Fort Lauderdale 2 years ago, and unsuccessfully working with 3 different Realtors and several mortgage brokers, I was introduced to Kathleen by mutual friends who had also been her clients. Do NOT trust Mrs Costanzo and her fake smiles and gorgeous Cadillac. She is a money starved agent who will only pretend to be on your side until things go in your favor and against her cashing out your check fast. We bought a condo with her (no) help and it turned out to be a disaster. She never lifted one finger to help us. My mother needed surgery in France and she forcefully made us come back all the to the United States in spite of the situation so that she could cash her commission on time. She is a greedy woman who owns several condos in Fort Lauderdale which make her believe she owns the city! We were only asking for a 10 days extension to the closing in order to get things settled in France and she denied it. We also needed to rent a new place for us and she promised to help, she never even tried and we had to rent through another source. We are cash buyers and she took advantage of us. If our painful experience can be of any use to further buyers, then we have made our point. Mrs Costanzo is a money hungry liar agent who will go through any length just to make her commission. Be very aware of it and of that agent. There are so many agents to choose from, so do not fall for her sweet lies like we did.

I wish to respond to the posting by Mr. Randall Cupples-Sabban, the buyer of my condo who posted in March 2016. I am the seller of the condo referenced in his post. Our realtor Kathleen Costanzo found herself in a somewhat awkward position trying to represent both myself and the buyers in a fair manner. I happen to believe she succeeded in doing so.Within two weeks of listing my condo with Kathleen, she presented me with two offers. I chose to accept the better of the two offers made by Mr. Cupples-Sabban. Although it was still several thousand dollars less than the asking price. A date was set thirty days from the when the offer was signed and accepted. It is important to note that I was under contract with my tenant to give him a thirty-day window to evacuate the unit. Also preparation of paper work and scheduling of residence approval by the association would take weeks to process. Immediately, I notified my tenant he had thirty days to evict. The buyers quickly scheduled an inspection.After the inspection Mr. Cupples-Sabban requested a concession from me to cover the cost of window replacement. Kathleen negoiciiated a compromise and both the seller and buyer would split the cost. An estimate was obtained and both the buyer and seller signed an agreement that no further concessions would be considered.It was unfortunate that the buyers had to leave country for a family emergency. But their accusation that Kathleen and her insistence to keep the original closing date was based on personal greed is false. The truth is, the buyers first asked that we move the closing up by a week. But I still had to honor my contract with my tenant so I could not close earlier than the original scheduled closing date. Then they asked to close ten days after the scheduled date and after my tenant had vacated the unit. This would mean I would incur condo fees, mortgage and utility cost for the rest of the month amounting to a few hundred dollars which the buyer, Cupples-Sabban did not offer me compensation for.Besides, Kathleen informed Mr. Cupples-Sabban that it would not be necessary for him to attend the closing and arrangements could be made so that the buyers could remain in France with their family during their emergency and we could close on the original scheduled date.We closed yesterday on time and without incident. I can say with all honesty Kathleen represented both me and the buyer in a fair and professional manner. I would be quite willing to work with her again and strongly suggest her service to anyone else requiring a realtor.David Williams and Michael Prokuda
