We recently sold our home with Whitney. It was our 3rd transaction with him (2 sales, 1 purchase). Locally, I feel he is the only realtor I would use. He understands all facets of the process of buying and selling. Paramount to the process is establishing a market price, which will maximize our sales price, yet not languish on the MLS for months. Our most recent sale took 10 days, with two full price offers leading to a sale with a price exceeding our expectations. Additionally, his photographer is excellent, and seems to make every home look simply fantastic.

We met Whitney really serendipitously. He had a listing near our house and we have been contemplating on putting our house on the market. Although we were a little hesitant about listing our house, we did so anyway thinking that we dont have anything to loose- its not like he charges a fee to list the house. Our house was officially listed on a Thursday; and by Saturday we had a full ask offer, by Sunday we had 2 or 3 more offers. We, obviously took one of the offers which was 2k over asking. But, after our house not appraising and the sellers not willing to come up, Whitney advised us to walk away from the deal because he is confident that I can get you more and I believe our house is worth more than what the appraisal came back at. In my opinion, this shows 2 things- character and knowledge of the current market which are vital characteristics to have for a realtor. We were quite happy with the appraised value and he could have easily advised us to take the deal and he could have gotten his commission. Putting the house on the market again would entail more work on his part, not ours. But this was something he was willing to take on. We, hesitantly took his advice. Yes, of course we had doubts if he will be able to deliver, but at the this point we also had already put an offer on a house, so a lot is written on the sale of our current house. True to his word and his ability to deliver, Whitney got us a full asking price offer after 4 days of re listing the house and a few days ago, we closed on the current house and are getting ready to close on our new home. Buying and selling a house can be both stressful and enjoyable event, Whitney, his sister Tricia have been more than helpful to ease the stress and make the experience more enjoyable.
