Love it here. We started recently and so far the facility and the staff have been amazing, supportive and overall I really look forward to coming here.

FYI- This gym has been closed for over 7 weeks due to a flood with zero communication to members. I have left voicemail messages to cancel my (and wifes) month-to-month memberships on both the onsite listed number and other Busybody locations. I am unable to get in touch with anyone. Finally I had to contact my credit card company to credit my account for failure to provide contractual services, but am now being harassed by the gyms third-party billing company, ABC Financial. This is frustrating and unprofessional. Hopefully the owner, Jonathan Larkin, sees this and does the right thing, just cancel my familys month-to-month memberships.

Visited Nov, 2016. A great gym, primarily because it has a rooftop free weight area that allows you to work out while looking at the ocean. They offer a variety of day passes, two day passes, etc. I believe we got a two day pass for $30, although I dont remember the exact amount. The locker room was a bit small, and while it wasnt crowded while we were there, I imagine it could be an issue at peak times. But its a fantastic alternative to hotel gyms

By far the best gym option on Fort Lauderdale Beach. Walking distance from everywhere.Great selection of new free weights and machines, with a squat rack, full size cable cross station and functional trainer. Great staff who clearly love their jobs and their customers.Not the most extensive cardio selection, but this gym has always been geared to people who spend more time with weight training.It is never crowded, even at supposed peak hours, and maintains a consistent mask and sanitization policy.Being across from a Haagen Dazs and below a Taco Bell is also ideal for cheat days 😉

I love this gym! The new location is just wonderful! Everything is new, clean and you still get a view of the beach without the skin cancer concern. Same wonderful neighborhood feel. Everyone has a smile on their face! Classes are great too 😃

Its the best, I was here for the old location for 4 years and love the new location, and have been a member since day 1. Super clean and all new workout equipment, has a smoothie bar for refreshments after my workout to hold me over for a bit on the beach. Would highly recommend and love the entire staff and owner!

The 5am open is great for early birds. Great way to get the vacation days started. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The yoga class was led by great instructor. The machines were well maintained and the space was organized. Great price for the weekly pass and centrally located in the beach front area. I will definitely return on my next visit. No pretense or glitz. Thank you The Gym.

This training made me literally fall in love again with training. As a professional athlete, Ive considered working out more like a job than something I was passionate about, but training at The Gym was so enjoyable that it made me reconnect with my long lost joy of training. The equipment is amazing, staff is great and the location is just perfect.

This gym is clean with great equipment. I love the rooftop gym especially in the summer time to further improve my overall conditioning. It’s one of the nicer gyms I’ve ever been to in the US. I’ll definitely be back to FLL many times to enjoy this gym.

Great gym, been a member for about a year and its always nice. My only gripe is that the parking lot gets really full just because of its location it tends to get full by vacationers. Not the gyms fault by any stretch of the means. Still its a great gym, staff is nice and courteous, really no complaints about the place

Im here on vacation from Virginia and was looking for places to practice yoga. My first experience was with a swanky, beautiful modern studio where I took a hot yoga clasa. I am grateful for the experience and workout but left feeling more like it was a competition among the students. There was no community, no welcome from the teacher, no greetings from the other students. It seemed more about the almighty dollar. Where was the true meaning of yoga? So I decided to try The Gym and Im so glad I did. Its small, its not modern or new, but you are welcome and the teacher, Kelly was amazing as well as her friendly regular class attendees who took the time to introduce themselves to me before class. The front desk staff was incredible and helpful too. Kellys cues were on point and my body and mind got an amazing workout. Thank you so much! If you want to really practice yoga, just go here if youre in Ft. Lauderdale!!!

You cant beat the view on the rooftop over looking the ocean. This place is one the best ways to start my day and all the updated nice equpiment is inside downstairs. The staff is seriously so awesome and nice with smiles on their faces! So glad I joined this gym .

The reason we came here was because of the outdoor gym, however this is a new location and even thought the pictures of this location have outdoor space this location does not! $15 day pass

Great gym rooftop gym is amazing. Only issue is that some of the equipment on rooftop gym is rusted. I like it but some people have an issue with it.

I have been going to the The Gym forever and its a great gym. Its busy but not to crowded, they have good equipment, and its located right on the beach!!!

As a rain bird from over the pond. I join this gym when in town on weekly or monthly memberships. Its not the cheapest but how many gyms overlook the sea! It is a gym. Not any frills. Rooftop workout area too. Very friendly staff and clean.

Its in a great location and some good machines .

I had the same experience as hoplite1766. I cancelled my membership and without my knowledge they continued to bill me. One year later I get a letter from a collection agency. My advice is stay far away from this place. This kind of business practice needs to be brought to the attention of the media, and possibly a class action law suit filed. Im sure we arent the only two people that they did this to. Just the only two that posted it online.

A quiet little gym that lets you get lost in your workouts. Could use a few more cardio machines but overall an awesome place to workout.

Love this place. Randy the owner is a great guy, the roof top gym over looking fort lauderdale beachm the intercaostal, and a great view of the city of Fort Lauderdale Skyline has got to be one of the coolest places Ive ever cranked out a workout. If you go in...tell him Ebay Jake sent you.(Also, I read these other review....as with any Gym, you need to give a 1 month notice to quit....Im sure if you just stop going they are going to charge you....any grown up would know that)

I sent written correspondence canceling my membership. This was after probably a year of not using the gym because I moved to a different neighborhood.Of course, as you might expect, they continued to bill me. I didnt realize it until months later. Because it was set up on auto bill, AMEX advised that the only way to stop the payments was to close that credit card. I closed the credit card.What happens next? The Gyms finance arm, ABC Financial, starts sending me emails, calling me on the phone and threatening to send me to collections.This is beyond absurd. This establishment is owned and run by some scummy people who are probably broke, have no scruples and will do anything to make a quick buck.Its a mediocre gym with mediocre equipment and parking issues. I might ordinarily give it 2.5 stars. But after this nonsense? No way.

Unusually busy in the mornings and unusually slow in the evenings. If youre the regular post-work-gym-rat, but tired of all the other busy cookie cutter fitness centers, this is your place.

Very dirty facility. Very old equipment. Rooftop was ok but place looked like a prison.

Equipment is ok. Staff is not helpful, and act like they cant be bothered. Walked to the front desk one day and all three employees were out on the floor sitting down staring at me. But even when theyre actually behind the desk their attitudes are about the same.

Very poor experience. Facility needs a clean up . Very old equipment. Outdated and very dirty all throughout.

BEWARE!Was on a month to month cash payment basis, no Contracts. No pay, no train. Despite the agreement found out I was being charged for a year in my absence! I Got a letter from a debt collection service for over $400.00, watch these guys. NOT to be trusted!
