SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE! Absolutely the WORST experience I have had to date with renting a car, not to mention the workers were VERY unprofessional. I reserved a vehicle online weeks prior due to the rate being so cheap, only for Mariana (The front desk lady) to tell us in a very rude way that our insurance was not accepted, because they had just recently did away with Travelers. We then had to cancel the reservation, and reserve another vehicle that they would NOT match the original price we were renting it at. We decided to reserve the car as we needed it urgently, only to find out my insurance was accepted BUT it was not $500,000 coverage...they left that part out. Who in the world has 500,000 coverage? That seems ridiculous and a scam for them to get more money out of customers. This meant an additional $30 PER DAY for their insurance to cover us. They also did not include easy pass, this would have been an ADDITIONAL $25 a day on top of the actual toll costs. Talk about a headache! The workers did not want to cooperate or make their customers happy... I will not be back. There are plenty of local car rentals - go to them!
Absolutely the worst experience renting a vehicle.After paying $100 on my initial booking, I expected to only pay another $60 once I picked up my vehicle. When I get to the counter it’s a whole other process taking place. This is clearly fraud. And Expedia should also be held accountable for their part in false advertising. If I paid for collision protect through Expedia, can any please explain to me why did I have to also give JC Car Rental triple for the same coverage? “It’s their policy”. So basically customers have to pay for collusion protection twice? Makes absolutely no sense. Then to add, I had to pay $25 for each toll use. Mind you I only use about $2.68 for toll. They added another $100 on that. This is bloody extortion. I will never book through these 3 party apps again. Worst experience ever. People are desperate and have to get to where they’re going. Imagine being pinned in a corner and forced to hand over all your money for something that you wasn’t prepared for? I’m contacting the Better Business Bureau. These people need to regulated. And then have the nerve to give me a car that was not even full. The audacity!!!!
They pick me up from the airport, check in great,now leaving my flight ✈️ at 9 am heres 6:07 they say they open at 6:00 am I wish they will say that.i am mad 😡😡😡 have to call Uber to airport.
DON’T BOOK WITH AMEX!!! This car rental company also operates under “Priceless Car Rental”. I REALLY wish I would have read the reviews before using this company. I booked with this car company from a travel benefit I had with my American Express credit card. The rate was awesome compared to other car rental companies at that time. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Upon arriving to Fort Lauderdale airport we took the shuttle to the on-site car rental terminal to look for Priceless car rental. We soon found out that the rental place is offsite. We called the number and a representative quickly answered and came and picked us up about 10 minutes later. No big deal. When she arrived she opened the back door for us to put our suitcases and got back in the front seat without assisting us. Strike #1! When we got to the car rental place, upon entering there were signs posted everywhere that American Express was not accepted. Strike #2! When I explained that I booked the car rental through American Express the representative said “Oh that happens all the time! We’ve asked them to remove us.” Yeah right! I’m sure they get all types of business through the AMEX bait & switch. And prey on unsuspecting travelers. Here’s the final straw. They have a list of car insurance companies they work with. If you don’t have one of the car insurances listed, you have to pay an additional $30 a day for their car insurance. Ugh! What a terrible way to start a vacation!

Unless you want to be charged WAY more than any other car rental company at the counter do not rent a car from this location. Went to Ft. Lauderdale in May, booked a car through Priceless/JC Car rental online for $284... but when they charged my card it was more than $100 more than that. $389! They claim (only at the counter, after youve been shuttled to an offsite location) that you have to have some sort of special insurance. I have FULL coverage, rental car insurance included on my State Farm vehicle insurance, I showed the EXTREMELY rude lady my declarations page from my insurance app, had my insurance card and everything and still said I had to have an increased insurance protection in order to rent. Its a complete scam, a total rip off that they will not let you say no to, Ive rented a lot of cars and are always tried to upsell but Im not shy about saying no, this was not the case.Then because there were no other car rental locations that had any cars left because DUH, trying to rent a car when you are already in the place you traveled to expecting to pick up your vehicle, she tried to give me a car that only had 1/2 tank of gas, when I brought it up that it was supposed to be full since I need to return it full, she went through her parking lot of cars for the next 45 minutes to find a completely different car that had a full tank instead of just filling the one I had already loaded up.They fully know and are aware that what they are doing is wrong and unethical and do not care one bit. I am disputing the charges with my credit card company but save yourself the trouble and pay a different company for their rentals, this place RUINED my entire day and put a damper on my vacation I was so full of rage and stress after dealing with them.
Awful experience. We were told nothing about a fee to drop in Miami. It was on our reservation. We confirmed with the desk at ft lauderdale and were told nothing. Surprise fee shows up and we are told it is company policy. No where does it state this. The car was terrible. It wasnt cleaned at all. We couldnt use our own insurance because they dont except all insurance and we couldnt use an america express card because they dont except that. We were forced to pay $25 insurance per day because they didnt accept our insurance on top the fact that they wouldnt take american express so even if we had their approved insurance we would still have to pay because of not having an approved credit card. I would not recommend this place. They are no help and the owner doesnt care about inconvenience.
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! THEIR CARS ARE UNSAFE!!I rented a car from JC Car Rental also known as Priceless Car Rental at the Ft. Lauderdale location on January 24, 2021. The duration of the rental was supposed to be from 1/24/21 to 2/23/21. The agreed upon charge was supposed to be $529.26. To my dismay which I discovered later that I was charged $550.43. I also have a receipt for $200 for the deposit. However, at this time it is not on my credit card. On 2/23/21, I was charged an additional $1. Total transaction $551.43.The original car (2017 Nissan Sentra) I received on 1/24/21 was a death trap. Four bald tires, bad/defective front brakes, and a compressor for the air conditioner which was ready to go causing the engine to seize up. As Manager in the office gave me such a difficult, I was very upset and did not notice the tires. I did however take a video of the car. Before I left, Manager told me the air conditioner makes noise, but nothing to worry about.Drove to Sugarloaf Key with husband. On 2/3/21, the front R tire started to make a loud rubbing noise. A local person driving by, stopped and took a look. Said that something was rubbing tire, could possibly be brakes, and I should get it checked out immediately. He also pointed out that all 4 tires were bald. Drove back to house to pick up husband and to look for a mechanic. When I returned to car, the L rear tire was flat.Called Priceless several times. No answer. Called Miami office. They said no problem that they would come get car and give me a different one. They then transferred me to Mgr in Ft. Lauderdale. Mgr told me to bring the car back to Ft. Lauderdale 181 miles away on donut spare tire. (Donuts are good for 70 miles at most.) He refused to come get the car. He insisted I return the car to Ft. Lauderdale and that it would be safe to do so. I called Miami again. No answer. Left message. Called Ft. Lauderdale again, no message. Called both offices several times. No answer or I was hung up on. Spoke with REP in Miami and she said she would talk to the manager. Waited half an hour, called again and was transferred to Manager in Ft.L who told me to drive it slowly to Miami 144 miles away. This circular conversation continued until 415 PM when Mgr said he would send a tow truck, but I would have to pay for the tow truck.On 2/4/21, I had AAA tow car to Precision Auto. The owner/mechanic said the car needed 4 new tires and front brakes on both front wheels. Also said compressor was getting ready to go. He contacted Priceless, spoke with Mgr who after an initial debate, finally agreed to new tires and brakes and would pay for it. Precision completed repairs at 4 PM. Mgr gave credit card info for payment. Mechanic said to drive car as little as possible, but finish my stay and return it as soon as possible.On 2/12/21, stopped by Precision Auto before leaving for Ft. Lauderdale to have Mechanic take one last look at the car. Compressor had become louder. Mechanic was concerned that compressor might go and engine would seize up. He said car should be returned immediately. I should request another car to complete my rental contract. Contacted Mgr again in Ft, L and Mgr said there was no car available for exchange. Slowly drove car to Miami with no A/C. In Miami, Rep told us no car available in Miami or Ft. L. Nothing available for few days. Showed Rep documentation from mechanic and reminded her that the engine could seize up, She showed this and explained this to the mgr and he still claimed nothing available. Asked Rep to put in writing on our contract. As I started to leave, Rep came out to tell me a car just became available. Was given a 2018 Nissan Versa. Tires were good and car was clean, however on driving car, the transmission seemed to slip, so drove it as little as possible. The car was returned on Monday 2/22/21. The person who checked the car out. I told him I wanted to dispute the charge. He told me I should email Manager with my complaint and concerns. I did so, but received no response.DO NOT RENT HERE
This place is a total scam, I will be reporting them to the state attorney general and if they wont take action then the FBI. You only end up here if you have a reservation and if you took a shuttle from their other scam location Next car rental, then they tell you that you have to pay $30 an hour late fee after you waited several hours at next car rental as well as $50 a day insurance.
I made a reservation online, I got there the location was closed before normal closing time. I was shocked, I called the Miami location to let them know I am at the Fort Lauderdale location but it is closed, a few minutes after a skinny guy showed up and all cars have been reserved. If all cars have been reserved, what the hell customers can still go online and make a reservation?? BELIEVED ALL THE BAD REVIEWS THEY GOT AND DO NOT RENT HERE. If you need to rent with no issues, I recommend EASIRENT just across the street.
Horrible experience and no remorse. Wrong information at the airport. Another company had to give us information. Then inwas charged extra for being late mind you i had no way of figuring out how to grt to them. The guy eventually came to get us and had no remorse. Stated the website is wrong and hasnt been changed yet and they accommodate in no way shape or form. Didnt even apologize. Now the low pressure tire light came on and the breaks suck. Dont use them!!

They charged us 30 dollars for some insurance thing because they only held the car for a hour but it was there fault we didnt make the time due to no airport shuttle that they claimed to have. Wrong information for the shuttle. Nextcar is what we got told but then found it wasnt right. Then was told they been trying to change it but looking on here i see it been going for awhile. Stay away spend the money thins place is trash.. We got told drop off is 730 am. And the girl is leaving in the shuttle to drop off someone and nobody is in the office!!!!! Wow.

SCAM!!!!!! Prices are double for what they tell you when you book the reservation. The prices are not it, and the car we got had a maintenance issue that was 2888 miles over due. DONT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was the absolutely worst experience I ever had with a car rental place.We actually booked with Next Car Rental which is the same as JC car rental. But from start to finish they were completely unprofessional in how they do things.They didnt have a shuttle at the airport for us. The directions given on their email confirmation wasnt accurate and we had to call several times to get a ride from the airport to their site. They gave us a ride in one of their car rentals, not a legit shuttle. Finally after 40 minutes, we get to their office and they were not very friendly at all. Then when we went to bring the car back (at 9 am) there was nobody in the building. The front door was open and no one around. We called the numbers on the card and got no one. Circled the building looking for someone and nothing. Finally calling the toll line we got someone and they insisted that someone was on site. Nope, no one on site. Finally after 20 minutes of waiting around (and worried we would be late for our flight back home), someone comes in the door to get our car returned and give us our ride to the airport. No apologies were offered through any of this. I mean, we got the car rental for the week for were there and that is good, but next time I rather pay the extra cost at other rental agencies and have peace of mind and professionalism.
They have no clue what they are doing. Directions and communication are not correct. I rented through priceline which was called nextcar, but that wasnt the case in fact it was jc car rental. I would never recommend the cheaper price. You will be happier paying an extra $50 dollars for the week. Then dealing with a lot hassle and shady outfit.q
This company needs to be shut down . I called yesterday and made a reservation . Spoke to someone on the phone and went over all the information I needed to bring. Came the NEXT day and nobody is picking up the phone . The place is actually JC car rental and there’s noo where on the original address that says they moved .I’ve called ten times and the person doesn’t pick up and the one time they did, they hung up the phone . They are a JOKE . Who runs a business like this ?!? Please listen to the reviews and get this place shut down .

We reserved our vehicle several weeks in advance for a three day weekend in Fort Lauderdale. Upon arrival (2/13/2020) we called the number provided only to be told our reservation had been canceled! By whom, we asked. We were told that we missed out Pick-up time. Huh?? Our flight was delayed one hour (weather) but no where in their email does it state they will cancel if you don’t get the vehicle immediately on time. No other reputable agency does that. We were stranded with six passengers for a couple of hours until we found other transportation.
Booked a car over 63 days in advance. 18 hours before pickup got text that the reservation was canceled. I called and was told they dont have any cars to be picked up. STAY AWAY dont rent from them!
Avoid this SCAM company. You can look for the reviews in web and find they have very competitive prices, but when you go to retire the car, they charge you almost the double of the price argumenting fees and taxes insurance. At the end go to whatever other company and avoid this one. Through the app I paid 215 for a week rental car. But in the place (without including property damages insurance, I have to paid 250!! Otherwise the canceling policy will be charge 50% of amount already paid
SCAM!! Please read before booking!After arriving at the airport, my boyfriend and I tried calling multiple times and kept getting hung up on. We finally got a hold of them over an hour later.When we arrived at the store, the store was locked and closed with a line of over 11 people waiting to rent cars. After waiting in line for 2 hours we were denied a car because they claimed that they wont accept a non-major credit cars even though I was previously told that all that was needed was a $500 deposit and they had already taken our deposit months before.Horrible customer service- was very rude and demeaning. Do not recommend under any circumstances. It will be worth spending a little more money than having to deal with the hassle and lies of this company.
Booked this company through a 3rd party, unlimited mileage. Upon arrival, was told that because I was a Florida resident, I did not qualify for unlimited mileage.....? Flabbergasted as to how someones residence determines their company policy. I asked how much it would be for unlimited, and was quoted double the price that I had secured through the 3rd party. The agent at JC Car Rental said this happens all the time, and recommended I cancel and book with one of the larger companies. Even though they refused to honor the terms of the booking with unlimited mileage and even suggested themselves I cancel, they refused to refund the partial booking fee and have been unresponsive to EasyCarRentals as well. Much like the other reviews, I HIGHLY recommend you RUN from this shady company.
This business also rents cars as a franchise of Nextcar Rental Cars. They claim to offer a shuttle from the airport, but their shuttle never arrived. I called several times, but they always claimed the shuttle would be there soon. We eventually took a Lyft to the location. The person at the counter told us they had rented out our car to someone else because we were late. They offered no alternative car and denied any wrongdoing. These people are clearly used to scamming others. We took a Lyft back to the airport and rented from another agency at that point.
WORST CAR RENTAL EVER!!!! Reallllyyyy shady business from top to bottom. First when we arrived the guy running it opened the door late for business and was just chatting on his phone. Then when in there it was rough customer service with just lots of silence but then the worst part happened. He told me my price out loud and we agreed. Then he showed me on a piece of paper my price which was the same, THEN printed out a receipt for a different price and had charged us a “processing fee” and I never noticed it until across the state in my Airbnb. The car was dingy and had garbage under the seats from the previous customers. The car rattled when over 60mph so bad that we rarely were even able to go with traffic when the speed limits were higher. Then when going to hit the brakes they would just about lock each time which made my wife and I even MORE nervous. To top it off the car clearly pulled to the right. We couldn’t return the vehicle for a different one because we were clear across the state. Upon arrival back to the place the same guy was there and when I told him what was wrong with the car his response was “they inspect it and if anything was wrong the computer in the car would have told you.” Ummm I don’t know if he knows vehicles at all but this car did not have that capability. I asked if there was anything that could be done about this and he stated, “just complain on the website to Expedia”......what?!? Lol. Never again...NEVER again will we rent here and we will warn everyone of here because we do not want this to be their experience here as well. The guy couldn’t have cared less about anything that was wrong with the vehicle and couldn’t have cared less about the frustration I had with the processing fee...absolutely stunning
This place is a sham. They make you buy their own car insurance or else they wont rent you a car. It does not say that on the website. Be prepared to have your own car insurance proof or they will not rent to you.
Absolute sham just like everyone said. My 70 year old parents informed me the morning of their departure that they booked with them. I did my research, didnt like what I saw and decided to meet their shuttle from the airport to be safe.Called to confirm their shuttle prior to pickup and was first greeted with a completely spanish recording.I called again (as I was standing outside of the shady facility that had no car lot or rental cars anywhere) and a man answered. I asked about the shuttle service for the airport and he switched from english to spanish and hung up on me. I called again and got the spanish recording.No big deal but I dont speak spanish and nowhere on their website does it say spanish only.I immediately called my parents and told them to stay at the airport and I was coming to get them.I am grateful we avoided what others went through and no money was lost and my parents were safe.Bottom line, they suck.
It was about 9pm, Waited at the bus shuttle for about a half hour watching other car rental services pick up their customers. Got an Uber to the place. Long wait but finally got our car which was not what we reserved. Car was a little dirty and engine light was on. You get what you pay for.

Stay away from this company, they are scammers!!!!We had a reservation with a NextCar Rental - JC Car Rental Ft. Lauderdale and were very excited when someone from the company called us as soon as we landed. However, our excitement was short lived -the first disappointment started when the NextCar shuttle ended up being a private minivan with no signs indicating the name of the company. The driver barely spoke English and did not even help me to load my baggage into the trunk. He brought us back to the rural location 10 minutes away from the airport and that was the office.... Two young guys were sitting by the computers and greeted the driver in Spanish. Than they proceeded with the service by asking to see my driver license and my insurance card. Right away informing me that the only accept the insurance companies listed on their placement mat by the counter. Apparently American Family policy I have (with rental coverage) did not make the list! Needless to say I refused to proceed with the rental, all three employees could not care less about me and customer service, they continued speaking with each other in Spanish. Thank God for Uber! I had to request Uber to get back to the airport where we booked Fox Car without any issues and at the same price!!!!
This company is a joke! I have been waiting for them to resolve this since August and just got the response accusing us of picking up too early, which is a bold face lie! We dropped off early and were made to feel inconvenienced for doing that because they are never there. They primarily only communicate through text. By all means, use any other rental car company, your vacation or trip will be better off doing so instead of when you think you might save a few bucks. They’ll ding you for up charges that’ll make you immediately regret choosing them. Below is what I emailed that was never responded to.I called Wednesday, August 21st, to verify reservation was all set and to make sure nothing additional was needed on my end. I was provided with a quick yes Thornsley, you are all set.Just call once you land and have your bags. So I had the expectation everything would be ready and no issues would blindside the start of our vacation.So yesterday, August 23rd, we arrived and called once we were in the airport and got our luggage. The reservation was for a family size van, so knowing that I would expect if we are being picked up that a vehicle to come and transport all of my family would be what happens. Instead, I’m told that they won’t fit and have to wait at the airport. My family is my wife, an infant, a toddler, and young child.they were stuck with all of the luggage and waited for almost 45 minutes in total! That alone is unacceptable. Once I arrived at the rental office being blindsided about insurance was a inconvenience but more of a mistake on my part so I get paying extra for that. I then am told the van we rented is t on the property and was given to someone else. This is extremely poor service and was told that I could have the option of another van that was a Mercedes van outside but it would need cleaned up a bit. After “inspecting” the van, I had to go out and ask if we were almost done because my wife called and explained the children were getting upset. He then says ok let’s go sign a contract. We go inside and then once I’m about to leave, I am blindsided by my boss said somebody else is coming to rent that van and I can’t have it. He then gave me no option but the SUV that wouldn’t fit my family in the first place and that was it. At this point my family was frantically waited for me to come back. I then had to wait for him to clean another car and was told I could go 40 minutes out of my way to swap the car at another location after all the inconvenience already experienced
Disclaimer: I booked through a 3rd party discount website.1. When booking I thought I was picking up at the Fort Lauderdale airport, and the location did not clearly state where pick up was.2. The confirmation email says if you need to change anything to reply to the email. I needed to change our pick up time so I emailed them. I never got a response to this email.3. When calling to ask to clarify anything I could not understand the customer service representative, very thick accent. I asked, Do you shuttle from the airport? I never got a clear answer. He just kept asking where I was. And then said go upstairs in the terminal and look for me. Hmm, I dont know what you look like...4. We made it to the pick up location on our own. It is not well lit and was difficult to find. There was one customer in front of us and one service representative on staff. We waited about 20-25 minutes for it to be our turn.4. At this point we hand over our drivers license and begin the pick up process. We come to insurance. They require insurance and it has to be with a major well known company, listed on the counter. This information was not listed or even hinted at when booking or in any of the confirmation/reminder emails. I got 3 separate emails from them and none specified this information. I was not given an opportunity to buy insurance. I was just told indirectly that the rental wouldnt work out.
This company is a scam and they are thieves. They charge you an extra $500, then when you return the death trap they rented you with in 12 hours of having it. They charge you for the whole 6 days that you were to have it. I was told on the return that I would be refunded, because I had to go back to the airport and rent another car for the period of my stay. 2 weeks later Im told no refunds. Please do not use these people they are liars and thieves.
This place is a scam. They advertise they pick you up from the airport. They don’t. You book a rate on line then when you show up at their office they force you to buy insurance, sun pass etc. The rates double from the pre-agreed rates very quickly and then you question it, the answer the clerk gives you is: “I don’t make rules... the rules are written here in a piece of paper and taped to the counter top”.Unless you want to ruin your vacation, look for other places to rent a car. We ended up walking out and going across the street to Fox Rental where the experience was as great.Avoid this place at all cost.
I would not rent from this place again with even a free rental. The car they gave me had stains all over the roof and hadnt been cleaned. Someone was smoking in it before too because cigarette ashes were in the central console. Received the care with under a half a tank of gas and they guy was a half hour late picking us up at the airport..stay away
Received an email notice stating our car rental was cancelled 45min before boarding our flight to Florida. Feel as if a poor, and somewhat indecipherable, explanation was given. Barely a sorry was muttered. Caused much undue stress for the start of our vacation to go visit our family. Poor customer service is the reason for the low rating - and I feel I’m being generous and fair with 2 stars. Boo!
This company (JC Car Rental) is fraud. I would not recommend anyone renting from this location.First, this is located offsite and not at the airport.Second, they try to sell their insurance and not willing to take personal insurance. The guy asked me to open my insurance app and show them what coverages I have on my personal insurance. Then he rejected to rent me a car because I don’t have 100K property damage coverage. I have asked them where did you mention that having 100K is a requirement. The rep literally edited the document, printed it and said here it is and rejected to rent me the car. I went to their website and no where the 100K req is mentioned. I was not informed even through their email. They just want to make money at the last minute and you do not have any option but take their insurance.They are rude and their service is just pathetic. I told that I will call the cops and report it. The guy literally closed the office and left.
Terrible service, shady place! Had flight information included in booking and was refused car stating was Late. Said we had booked for Noon and flight didnt even leave until 12:30 and arrived at 3:30 in Fort Lauderdale. No one hardly spoke English. After stating we were late, left my family including 75 yr. old disabled mother without vehicle and tried refusing to take us back to Airport. Complete FRAUD!! Do NOT USE!!!

They charged 14.00 to use credit for RENTAL payment, they charged $30 to reserve and did not apply to car RENTAL. They charge $1 to turn credit card machine on. IF YOU WANT SURPRISE COSTS +++++ USE THEM. OTHERWISE CAR WAS CLEAN. IF YOU LIKE SURPISE COSTS RENT FROM THEM
Unpleasant experience and massively overpaid for the good price which they pretend to offer. On top of the SunPass being a total rip off, as people have said below, we had to pay 140 USD for CDW/Third Party Liability which was already included in the price of the car when we booked it via a website in the UK. The team was super unhelpful with this issue, although we showed them all required documentation and wasted hours in chats/calls and explanations. They are not even aware what CDW is and what the difference is with Third Party Liability insurance, and they kept confusing both terms. We complained to the website with which we had booked and JC even lied to them that we had agreed to pay this additional insurance in order to decrease our deposit. This was never discussed and we had no problem leaving bigger deposit since we had a full insurance via the website which covered an amount greater than the deposit. On top of everything, we had to wait almost a month to get our deposit back. I do not recommend this company and I am definitely not using them again. Ever!

They canceled my reservation 8 hours before my arrival by email with no explanation. When I called I was told the car wasn’t returned and they had no other cars (???). Really messed up the vacation and they offered no help or concern.

Watch out. Pick company.If you are consulting this company, you probably searched for cheaper prices than those on the market. Backyard rental store. The deductible for hits, robberies or scratches is $5000. The guarantee is 1000 ddollar. Charge $10 a day for Sun Pass. You have to call to pick you up at the airport, thats when they answer. Cheap is very expensive.
