Kings does a nice job managing the general repairs and maintenance on my vehicles. They are very process oriented and keep me well informed on their diagnostic work. They suggest things to address in the future but dont pressure me. They just provide the facts. Jason is great to work with. The text and email status information is excellent. When issues have developed, they warranty their work. Its an honest shop.

I recently bought a 97 Outback Wagon, and had Kings auto inspect the car. They did a full check and recommended a number of items to be done.I brought the car back later and they diagnosed a spark plug wire had been arcing to ground. They were able to replace the wires and plugs, and did a compression check, and my car has been running smooth ever since.Their service is the best, so they are really busy. Techs are top notch for Subaru. This does mean that repairs may take a while for them to get to, but well worth the wait.I will bring my car back for service when needed!Thanks, guys!

They couldnt fix the brake lights. A simple plug push in. The brake fluid was green and I shouldnt drive on it until it was flushed (they were afraid to do it because my standards were too high). The brake fluid is great. There is a leak but they dont know where. Jiffy Lube said, Hey, your gasket is leaking! Didnt even have to ask. Just had it confirmed by a mechanic. Two minute diagnosis. The air in the pipe when starting is gone (no charge). Not by Kings, though I asked them about it. Just the tip of the iceberg.? Why? Maybe because I told them I thought my last mechanic had ripped me off and could they please check what I thought had been done to it. Suddenly, they are smirking at me, threatening to put my car in the alley for me to pick up after harrassing me on the phone etc... Believe the one star reviews, ignore their sarcastic and self-righteous comebacks to the one-star reviews and ask yourself would you respect an honest cop that covered for a dirty one? Would you do business with a high review company whose employees were in the Ku Klux Klan? Would you do business with a well-established Fort Collins company who did good work unless they decided not to. You might get good service, but not everyone does. Do you want to do business with a business like this?

My daughter took her Honda CRV into Kings Auto this past week. Jason was very forthright and honest in his communication to me. He explained the problem(s) with the vehicle and discussed an appropriate resolution to the outstanding issues with the vehicle. I couldnt be more pleased with the level of service provided by Kings Auto Center and I recommend their services without hesitation.

I took my civic in last summer to get my AC fixed as it had not retained any of the 3 cans of refrigerant I added. I was told they could not find a leak (even though I was confident there was one) and filled me back up with 2 lbs + a uv dye in case it was leaking, which I paid for. That lasted me 2 days. I took it back in again only to be told both connections on the refrigerant hose had been leaking and the hose had many holes. They ordered a new one, installed, and filled me back up, all of which I paid for. That lasted me the last 6 or so weeks of last summer. Upon starting to use my AC again this summer, I have found that once again my car has no refrigerant or AC capability. If you are wanting complete and sustainable service that does not require you to continuously pay out of pocket for the same issue over and over again, dont take your car here.

As always, diagnosis was correct and repair done well. The price was reasonable. They also caught and fixed an unrelated coolant issue, and honored their warranty for it at no cost.Have been a King’s customer for years, and they keep winning my business with great customer service, excellent repairs, honesty, and reasonable prices.

IF I COULD GIVE THEM 0 STARS I WOULD. HAVING TO PAY $6,000 BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T TORQUE MY OIL PLUG CORRECTLY AND RUINED MY ENGINE. I NEVER write reviews but this one deserves it. I went to them because I was traveling through to Montana and gave them a chance because they had the highest reviews. Now I’m having to pay for a brand new engine and they wouldn’t even help pay for any of it even though it was THEIR fault.

These guys always take time to inspect every nitty gritty detail. Always impressed with how thorough they are. They give you a detailed synopsis of the condition of everything on your car so theres never any surprises when youre on the road. Definitely the best auto mechanics in town. Ive been going to them for 4 years straight because I trust them that much.

I came slightly confused by the sudden problems with the car, but I feel like the mechanics didnt work towards finding the best solution. I had already diagnosed the car and was certain that the issue was in either the battery or alternator, but they insisted on doing a full inspection, and then went on to charge me for it. On Friday, I gave them permission to start working on the car, but they told me they wouldnt start until Monday. After considering this, I decided to ask them to stop the work on the car so that I could take it somewhere else. This was still on Friday, not long after I told them to start. I sent an email and multiple texts, but no one responded, then when I went early on Monday morning at (7 am) I was surprised to see that they had already started and nothing could be done about it. I was wondering: when they ordered the parts?Not only that but they gave me an enormous bill. The prices were overpriced; the parts and labor with what they call shop supply. It was nearly double the price compared to other auto shops, and they had the exact same parts with the exact same description along with a 3-year nationwide warranty.

These guys are absolutely the best. They are honest, and if it’s not worth it to do the work, they’ll tell you, always a pleasure to do business with!

I cannot overstate how fantastic Kings was with our vehicle. We went in for a reseal of our transmission pan, and Kings noticed that the brake pads were nearly out of service and needed to be replaced. We were moving the next day, and needed our subaru to make the move work. Adam managed to fit us in for a change the next morning, and was done almost 90 minutes early. This mechanic is professional, timely, and thorough, and I would strongy recommend to anyone in the area.

I was moving cross country and I went to Kings while in Fort Collins because my car was having trouble from a previous mechanic. They fit me in quickly and were very kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. They even helped me sort out getting it paid for by the previous mechanic. I felt safe finishing my travels after having my car looked at here!

My family and friends all use kings so I of course turned to them when my car’s check engine light came on and then wouldn’t start. Kings has a towing service that allows you to add the towing price onto your service at the end which was really convenient for me. They were quick to diagnose the issues and contact me about them. And even though it wasn’t great news for my car they did amazing work for a very fair price and were kind and professional about the whole thing. They even went as far as talking to my dad when he called and had questions. They never made me feel bad about not knowing car stuff. I appreciate their honesty and will be back for any other issues.

Leaks, breaks, etc all come with pictures! That alone is worth it. But the service is above and beyond. They care most about making sure the vehicle is safe to drive and identify everything that needs repair, but also let you know what can wait.Really honest, friendly folks that do exceptional work. They are certainly the best in Fort Collins and as long as I live here this will be our auto shop of choice.

I brought my car to King’s auto center to get a second opinion on possible head gasket replacement. The shop did a great job inspecting the whole vehicle and giving me a detailed review of what needs to be done and what can wait. They said my head gasket problem is not significant at this moment and I should be monitoring it for a while instead of immediate replacement as I was advised on the first place.

They did a good job on my car. I had a tow at 7 and was done with a diagnostics test by the end of the day. It was just over 110 dollars for that service. When I first brought my car in I thought it was a broken alternator. Turned out to just be a build up on my battery. They add the tow to your total if that is helpful. Inside was nice nothing special but a warm cup of coffee and a charger. It is a small garage so if it was a more serious problem it could have taken some time. The write up was really well done and they didnt push for extra un-needed service. I received no parts so I do not know their mark up. However, I think they are fair on their labor costs. Putting this as a 1 star so people like me see this post.

I’m never certain about Auto Mechanics (as I’m sure many of us are) but since I have been going to Kings, I have not had a single issue with my vehicle. I bring it for regular Maintenence and they make sure my entire vehicle is operating properly. Understand that if you want the job done correctly, you may pay a premium, but you will still be impressed with the money you save on the backend to get the job done right the first time. I have been having some problems with my battery and I had already gone to another mechanic shop where they couldn’t find a problem. I was a little wary that Kings wouldn’t be able to find a problem either but they were very thorough in their examination and replaced my battery. I haven’t had a problem with my car since (fingers crossed) but time will tell if the battery really was the problem. Otherwise they were very friendly and didn’t make me feel stupid for not understanding the inner workings of my car-which I really appreciate! Overall I had a great experience!!

Hi, I used King’s for a pre-purchase inspection (and some subsequent work) on a car I was buying through Carvana. Carvana’s listed service representative in the area had poor ratings and reviews on Yelp. I saw Kings had a great rating and reviews so I decided to pay the Carvana $50 deductible. The inspection and some follow up work was performed well. I worked with Adam at the front desk/phone and that work and communication through Adam gave me confidence in the work performed.

As always, we appreciate Kings genuine care and expertise. They always take time to explain their recommendations and answer our questions thoroughly. Their online report system is fantastic and their attention to balanced advice (balancing in terms of need, budget, timing, etc.) is spot on. NOW, I am in Texas, so this was unexpected, and great to have pictures to view my daughters car, her Subi Crosstrek. Kings has a thoughtful staff who wants to get your car back on the road. The report they send you with your quote includes a thorough overview of whats happening with your car, including supporting pictures and video. The transparency is great, and the service was timely and economical.

I took my Suburban to the wrong shop to fix, they installed my brakes wrong, told me there was something else wrong with my car and my wheel fell off while I was driving with my children. My car also needed other extensive repairs due to age, wear and tear. Kings explained everything to me, detailed coats, pictures, everything. They even sourced used parts when they could because they knew I was tight on money. They did not take advantage of me and were honest and even looked at my brakes before returning the vehicle back to me, realized they were installed wrong and fixed them free of charge. I do not usually take the time to write reviews but I hope this business stays around for a long time, as I know with my old Suburban I will need them again.

These guys are great, my 01 Honda really hit a wall (not literally) coming down from Portland OR. They got my car all fixed up and back on the road. Very transparent about the repairs, whether theyre recommended/suggested/necessary. Adam did a great job explaining everything to me in laymans terms, and even recommended the local Discount Tire and specific tires I should get to replace my bad ones. So grateful to Adam and his team. As a 23-year-old gal with very little knowledge about cars, Im often afraid of getting taken for a ride when it comes to car repairs. I did not feel that way at all here, and my new parts are even under warranty so Im extremely pleased with this shop and the people here. Cant recommend them enough!

These guys were great! I went in because I thought there was a problem with my brakes.
