First of all let me say, I will not go back here.My friend and I made appointments I was getting a dip manicure and pedicure and she was getting a gel manicure.The pedicure was “ok” at best. When they went to prep my nails the lady removing my old dip power was extremely rough. She was literally yanking on my hands and fingers. At one point she got the edge of my finger with the nail tool and didn’t even acknowledge it when I said it hurt, then she hurt my finger again and I pulled my hand away, again she didn’t acknowledge it.I told her to finish taking off my polish and I’d deal with my nails myself at home. Honestly I was concerned that she was going to break skin or go through my nail because she was so rough.They were extremely rude, inattentive to their customers, and the quality was poor. I’m glad we left when we did.

Good experience. They do pay attention to detail. Theyre not close to me but I was in the area. They did a good job!

Long story short this is my 2nd time going here both times I had rude service I thought maybe they may have had a bad day so I decided to go again and instantly wish I hadn’t. She was so rude and rough on my nails even cut me. I know it happens but she was almost annoyed I was even there. Never again,I will make the drive for better service. I don’t ever write reviews but this had to be said.

The lady who does my nails on Wednesdays is an artist. She is quick and professional. I love how she looks over my nails and fixes any issues. Never had a nail pull off or lift, but then I keep up with 2 week appts.

If i could give this place 0 stars I would. The pedicure was fine but then I showed her an inspiration picture of the nails I would like and she said she could do it. The nails are finished and I look at them and they are hideous. I wanted to rip them off. The paint was splotchy. The colors werent right.The colors werent in the right shape even. NEVER EVER COMING HERE AGAIN!!!!

Google says they are supposed to be open right now and so does the sign on their door. Waisted my time!

I brought my 8 yr old and 5 yr old daughters along with 9 yr old niece for a mani/pedi. The staff was beyond fantastic and treated my girls like celebrities! We will be back and thank you so much for treating my princesses like queens!!!

I asked specificly for natural nails with this process called a dip. They can out this ugly light pink. She did it totally different than before. After coming back to fix them... She wanted to charge me even more than the $50 I spent.... $55. I was so angry I could cry. I dont do well with confrontations.... Id rather pay a cpanybthat cares to do right than greediness.

This location used to be owned by someone else. I had never been, but other reviews were horrendous on Google Reviews/Google Maps. PLEASE DO NOT LET THAT SWAY YOU. The new owners have made this place truly incredible, and I have never felt more pampered in my life. The staff were amazing, funny and beyond thorough. I didn’t feel rushed at all, and ended up being there for a couple hours! I got a mani pedi, and even bought the highest level for the pedi because my nails were so phenomenal. I had dips done for the first time and wow.... just wow. These nails are better than any other nails I’ve ever had done, and my toes look so healthy and feel incredible. They also had awesome recommendations for designs, and really went the extra mile even when I didn’t ask. Huge 5 star review from me, I will be traveling from anywhere no matter how far just to come here. The salon is clean, beautiful and well organized and it creates an atmosphere of a true salon experience. The prices are reasonable, especially for sheer amount of time it took to do my nails. And my favorite takeaway? For the first time ever, MY NAILS DO NOT HURT. They’re the perfect length and not unbearably thick. My artist was very precise and gentle, never grinding my skin or grinding the tops of my nails down too far.Superb job LA Nails!

Dont waste your money here. Very unhappy with the $40 acrylic set I received today. (So glad I decided against the $50 pink & whites.) The large under new management sign should have been a red flag, but I thought Id give them a try.Along with never being asked what shape I wanted, all my square nails are slanted to one side and many of them have the nail polish so far from the skin, it looks like I need to get a fill. On top of that, my color needed a base coat, which the manicurist didnt do, so the color did not turn out as shown on the sample. I had to ask for a third coat just to get the tips covered with polish. Luckily I did, because she was rushing to get the top coat on and get me out the door.Tldr: Poor customer service, very poor workmanship. Go elsewhere.

I totally recommend this place to you. #1 the staff is super nice and friendly. #2 they dont charge a lot. #3 I got my nails done about a week ago and they still look on fleek. Even the past experience that I have had with this nail salon is great. Usually my nails will stay on and the polish wont chip for about 4-5 weeks. Even though they are short staffed by very few people right now you cant blame them because there is a lady that works there (she is supper nice by the way) but she is recovering from something that happened, so dont blame them. Also some people said that they were talking to there coworkers rudely that isnt true at all because they only speak in there language (Chinese? or Japanese?) to there coworkers so how would you now if they are speaking kindly or not (P.S. look it up Chinese and Japanese are known to be one of the fastest languages to be spoken). I totally recommend this place.

No one answers the phone so probably not worth trying especially since they say walk ins are welcome but if they’re already booked they still can’t help you.

I went there for an appointment I made on June 20th at 2:00. Drove 2 hours and no one was there it was closed! Not happy that they could not have called me. I will not be going back!

I got acrylic nails done today, they turned out beautiful and they are very durable.

Horrible first time experience. Walked in with my 4 year old at noon asking to get a manicure and pedicure for the two of us and they said they don’t have time. They are open until 7pm and it was slow when walked there was only two customers.

If I could give this place a 0 star review I would.Their customer service off the bat was not good at all, our lady didn’t even talk to us once. She was very bossy and rude. I made an appointment at 10AM for me and my friend and someone came in asking for a walk in appointment and they stopped doing my friends nails in the middle of her appointment for this lady who didn’t even have an appointment. They made her wait til I was done getting my nails done to finish hers. Then my nails looked so horrible and she rushed through them. She didn’t even paint the ends or push back my cuticles. They looked grown out and they just got done. I didn’t take a picture but I wish I did. I called after my appointment to tell them my friend and I weren’t happy with the service or the nail job and they wouldn’t refund me. I had to go get them fixed at a place they are connected with called first nails. They were trying to argue with me and were cutting me off when I was just trying to tell them how I felt about the whole situation. I had to spend over $80 total to fix my nails because I couldn’t go two weeks with the set they originally gave me. I’m so unsatisfied with this place and I do NOT recommend it. Never go here because you will have to pay for a whole new set at a new place because they clearly don’t know what they are doing.

Dipped manicure is awesome! No UV light, no smell, and super tough. LOVE them! Super helpful staff with great suggestions. They have a color system so if you want dipped manicure and regular pedicure they can match the exact color. Will definitely be back.

Love this place! Anna is the best out of all the nail techs Ive been to in this town. She always gets the shape and length just right, and they have hundreds of colors to choose from. Friendly, clean, inviting... seriously the best!

LA Nails is FANTASTIC! Very pleasant Technicians, (Van is Awesome!👍☺️),very clean, professional, precise and accommodating to our needs. We have a good group of family members who go to get our nails done on a regular basis. I would definitely recommend!

Do not recommend, I went there Monday 3-16-20 only took the lady 25 min to do my nails they looked wonderful at first but the moment I got home I had air bubbles in my nails which tore and left blank spots. My nails absolutely look dreadful. I’m very disappointed because they were definitely not worth what I payed.

Worst set of gel nails I have ever got in my life. They are slanted, not enough paint, and my cuticles were bleeding from how rough they were with the file. Definitely not coming back

I have been having my manicures and pedicures at LA Nails for 16 years. I love Kathy and Sonny and Nam and Dewey. As a surgical RN, I am always observant about cleanliness and sterility. I do not ever want a nail fungus again, like I got when I was on vacation in Mexico and stupidly had a pedicure there. I am very pleased with the way their tools are sterilized. The massage chairs are comfy. I have recommended LA Nails to many of my friends and they, too, are permanent clients.

If been coming here for about a year to get my acrylics done. They are so amazing. The nail techs take the time with they nails. The shape is always perfect the length is always perfect. I absolutely recommend this nail salon

This was a service I received not by my usual preference of nail salon to go to, however the nail tech took the time to find a similar color to my already ombred nails to fill from a previous service at another nail salon. I was satisfied by my simple service and ended up walking out with an added gold dipped powder over my ombre nails, providing a beautiful glow to my already blushed nails to show-off through the holidays. Oh! and this is one of the few shops open on a Sunday, especially in the evening that I definitely recommend going to if you need a service asap. I was disappointed over the price for my fill as well though, which is normally the cost I would pay for a full new set of an ombre nail and the length of time it took to do so. Overall, pretty okay service.

12 minute pedicure. 1 coat of polish and then wasnt even put on top rim of nail. Will not return. Too bad. Past owner was very good.

This was the absolute worst experience. Ive been getting my nails done for over 20 years, I have never had to describe in detail what needs to be done when you are doing a set of ombre nails. When she gave me the total of 90 dollars, I about had a heart attack 30 dollars to have your toes painted thats not including a pedicure, a manicure thats nothing 30 dollars to have your toes painted with no design that is absolutely absurd, never will I go back

This is my new favorite place!! I even come over from the neighboring state to be pampered here. As soon as you walk in you can see that the great people who work here are dedicated to assuring their clients comfort. The aesthetics in the salon are amazing with soothing colors, soft, tranquil music, large TVs with relaxing images and gorgeous (real) orchids! The staff is also very friendly and really take their time with the customer, they never rush through. They do such wonderful work and dont charge much. I would highly recommend L.A. Nails to anyone who wants to look fabulous for a low price. Who wouldnt love that?!

I was in here late last year in November and I was getting my nails done for my birthday. I had Nam, who clearly doesnt get good reviews, and the nails looked great. However, as soon as I got home, the gel nails were already smudging. So I came in on the next open business day and had him again, hoping I wouldnt. They seem really understaffed. I told him I just wanted them fixed, and he started complaining that it was his birthday and her had to work. I said in sorry..? And how he always has to work on weekends. Made me seem like he didnt want my business. He started talking about things I wasnt interested in and would insult me if I didnt share the same interest. After they were finished, I told him to file them because they were crooked, and he seemed irritated. After they were smudged in the first time, youd think he would be apologetic. Nope. I get in my car, and they fricken smudge again!! They were about to close, but I didnt care. How hard is it to make sure theyredry? I said can you do them right this first time? I didnt tip after that. Never going there again.

First time there and I wont be back. They are under new ownership and they let you leave there upset and not happy. I dont normally ever write a review, but felt I needed to for how my experience went. They do not care about their customers, and It didnt seem inviting walking in.

Would not recommend. They rushed to move on to the next customer, were not gentle what so ever (I went in with 2 other people and we all left with at least one bloody finger nail), one employee was telling racist jokes and we were charged for things that were not on their board. When I asked the man to reshape my finger nail because it was crooked, he just filed it more to the side, making it more crooked, (it was an almond shape, so the sides were pointed inward.) I went in about a year ago and it was the same experience. I got the student discount (25 dollars) but they tried to charge 30 because I didnt want a square shape. After I mentioned it wasnt on the board, he quickly tried to find excuses as to why it was 30... soon giving up because I mentioned that I was not told that it would be extra right away when I asked him for that shape. I went on a Sunday, as it was the only nail salon in Forest Lake that was open but I wish I had just waited until the nail salon on Broadway was open.

I do not recommend. They rushed to get my nails done. I asked to get coffin design and it was choppy and uneven. When they went to put the matte code on, it was rushed and missed areas of the nails. They where rough and not at all gental. They dont seem to care at all about the customers. Further more, the environment was so umperfestional. Despite charging me for things that werent on the bored, there was a prescription bottle on the front desk ( if youve ever been in there you know the desk is very open) just sitting there. As I was getting my nails done another one of there employees just sneezed without covering or even excusing himself and without washing his hands, he started helping another customer.

I went there for prom both years and my nails turned out wonderful, the people were so nice. Im coming there again for sure!

I will NEVER go here again! Received a gel manicure, starting peeling after 8 days. Called to ask if they will re-do my nails, told that it was past the 7 days and they would not re-do. Very disappointed, will give my business to another nail salon.

Today, a friend and I went out to have a pedicure and have our nails done(mind you we are mothers of young kids and NEVER get to go out and do this). This is the only nail salon open in forest lake on a sunday apparently... making them busy, naturally! Regardless of their time and possibly being short staffed..I was so discusted at how uncomfortable and unprofessional the environment was. As soon as I walked in the door, the young man was that was working this afternoon was rude, shaking his head and whispering under his breath. It made me feel like i didnt want to be there. He was yelling at his other coworkers in front of all the clients saying he was going to leave if the lead woman kept accepting people to wait. I felt as though the woman Was rude too. On multiple occasions I witnessed individuals ask how long the wait would be and she just snapped at them pick a color and sit down! Lets just say I gave a small tip (which is not the type of person I am BUT thats how unsatisfied I was) and I will NOT be getting my nails done thereading ever again. My nails were rushed and the work is sloppy and uneven. Hopefully they figure their crap out because I have never felt so uncomfortable in a business like that ever before!

Im bummed my pedi water wasnt hotter (oh well), but I LOVE the nail job, and they stayed open late for me and my two girls. Not a rushed job at all.

If I could give this place a zero, I would.... absolutely worse nail salon ever. I went in for a manicure, the guy took off my old gel polish, never cleaned my cuticles or under my nails, repainted the nails and put no lotion on afterwards. BE WASTE OF MONEY, one week later, the gel is peeling. ... never will return again.
