We recently rented a car, which turned out to be a van, from the Florence, AL, Mall St location.It didnt start out well as we were in the parking lot, thanking our friends who gave us a ride to Enterprise, when my wifes phone rang. Enterprise was calling to advise us that our car wasnt available.I immediately went into the store to advise those there that I rented a vehicle and there better be a vehicle available, even if they needed to go out and buy 1 to fulfill their contract.Windy stepped up and took over. She provided a van so we could meet our obligations we had rented a vehicle for. We needed to go back to KY to get our personal vehicle.We experienced an issue with our own vehicle which prolonged our departure in KY but it looked like wed be able to return the van a little late.Windy again came to the rescue by waiting until after 6 PM for us to show up. We arrived at 6:05 and Windy took care of checking us back in so we wouldnt need to return the next day.From her professional approach in providing a car to extra effort for our check-in, Windy was instrumental in our continued allegiance to Enterprise for rental vehicles.Thanks Windy.

My husband and I have been lied to for several days now and the service has been horrible to say the least! The Manager there (Florence Alabama) and associates here have been extremely rude to our entire family. I will be recommending to corporate office that an investigation be done on the ethics and codes of conduct for the Florence location. I am not sure if it is because of lack of training or lack of caring but we have suffered severely for the actions of this locations employees. This is totally inexcusable! I will be calling and requesting a full investigation into potential civil rights violations under the Americans with disabilities act.

Every time I have talked to them about the car the insurance rented for us something changes. I was to be able to carry on the rental from my insurance company at their discounted price but Enterprise changed it without telling me. They told me to keep the car over the weekend on a holiday but then they charged me for the 4 days. They didnt tell me about any charges. Watch out!!

I was lied to about the total price to rent a car. I had a very important Dr appt to take my grandson who has cerebral palsy. Both hi hips are dislocated. We have been waiting 6 months for this appt. When I got down there it was told I needed a 300$ deposit and a zero balance light bill. What the heck? First time I heard this. And this was local office in Florence. The lady was very rude to me

My son Berry has been lied to for past 3 days about getting a car and hes had a reservation for several days and they keep lieing to him not calling him back and he has to get me to serious Dr appointment.They really are very rude and i hope i can get to my appointment for a corited artery in my neck soon!

Ive been a customer for 20+ years and I was very disappointed when they started charging 300 extra dollars to your card on top of your actual charge for rental if I rent a car and I have their insurance all their coverage why the extra 300 dollars the car is fully covered its just an inconvenience sure I get it back but whats the point of this charge. They have always had this charge went from100 to 300 over several years but I dont understand the point if the car is fully covered by their insurance

My friend has to get his mother to dr appointment that could be life or death and they never call him or his family back and Wendy the manager covers for the lack of accountability for her employees it seems and herself of course and this has really affected my buddy’s plans and arrangements all due to them not even keeping their word. I care about my friends and how they are treated and now that I see this treatment to a pal of mine I will never ever use this location or maybe even enterprise as a whole. UNEXCEPTABLE!

Reading reviews, I made a backup plan. Since a reservation with Enterprise doesn’t guarantee anything. Made a separate reservation with Avis for a minivan with a deposit for a guarantee. And mannnnn it’s a good thing I did. I was willing to lose a $100 deposit with Avis just because Enterprise was just that much cheaper. Not getting a minivan would have meant the chance of losing the $8000 already spent to cover our vacation. Went to pick up a minivan and the only minivan that was returned had damage and was taken for repairs. And every single other vehicle they had left had expired tags. 4 miles away at Avis, picked up a nice, clean and like new, low mileage Toyota Sienna. In and out in 15 minutes. $150-$200 more expensive for 2 weeks but that guarantee, ease of the process and the people made it well worth it. And yes you can use a debit card as long as it’s with an actual physical bank and not something like a Walmart debit card.

Steven was very helpful with us. But I did have a issue returning the car. Return time was 7:30AM. They dont open til 8AM. We didnt mind waiting but when Stacy got there she was rude. When I told her our return time was 7:30 she cut me off shook her head and rolled her eyes. And with a attitude told me it would be awhile before she could get to me.

We had rented a car for vacation that was making a roaring noise. I called Enterprise and they quickly got me in a different and even bigger vehicle that was great. No questions asked. The pick up and the return was great! The lady I dealt with was very helpful.

Five stars is a little unusual for me - so I should explain. I can’t think of anything negative re this rental experience. The enterprise rep who checked me in, and out with the vehicle (YES -it was the same person both times) was knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. I remember that she specifically mentioned the fuel economy for the Nissan Rogue that I was renting for the week - and I was pleased that the vehicle didn’t disappoint - clicking over 30mpg on the highway. In addition to the fuel economy, the vehicle was clean and performed really well. This Florence, AL store is a local / non airport venue - so my expectations were admittedly not high going in. But I think my experience on this rental would have met or exceed anyone’s reasonable expectations. So - that’s the support for that fifth star...

It was my first experience with enterprise and Im extremely disappointed. I really dont understand what the point is in reserving a vehicle...I ended up stranded and had to have someone take me home that really didnt want to bc my car was being worked on. I just figured that enterprise was reliable and professional enough that I could count on picking up a vehicle that I reserved. Put me in an uncomfortable and embarrassing situation. Word of advice HAVE A RELIABLE BACKUP PLAN. Bc enterprise is completely unreliable. Just take down the whole website bc its completely pointless.

There was only one reason that I awarded a 4 star instead of a five. The low tire pressure light on the dash and the alarm sound with low tire pressure, for the right front tire, came on as we were leaving for our trip. We stopped at multiple times to check the tire pressure, found it to be 5-10 psi low and then filling it. Each time I exited and entered the vehicle I checked the tire. It caused us worry and concern when we should have felt we had a safe and sound vehicle. When I returned the vehicle to Enterprise and explained all of our checking and worry, they only thanked me for letting them know. It would have been nice to have received a slight discount in our rental fee for our worry, even if it was only $25-50. When you travel 900 miles round trip the last thing you need is to have a flat tire.

Every experience with enterprise has been great for me. Theyve always got me in and out pretty quick and the staff is always friendly. My only complaint is that they did away with the after hours drop box for keys. I do rentals for my vacations and its inconvenient to have to return the car on a Monday morning when I need to be at work.

I had the worse experience ever with enterprise. If it weren’t for the fact that I had a wreck and needed a car to get back and fourth to work, I wouldn’t have rented from them. I signed up for the daily insurance, which just means I would have to pay a small fee every day to not have to pay for anything if anything happened to the car while I had it. The gentleman that did my paperwork told me that they would call every day for the payment, NO ONE CALLED MY PHONE. With that being said 11 days later they take 55.50 out of my account saying it was for the small fee every day for the past 11 days. My small fee with my insurance was 12 dollars a day. 12x11 is 132.00....then the day before I take the car back to them they charge me another 32.16 for the “remainder of the 11 days” 55.50+32.16=87.66. Yes I understand that the amount is cheaper than what it should be but thing is no one called me at any time and the last payment they took they called my parents saying they couldn’t get a hold of me and my voicemail box was full. My parents called me after that and I checked my voicemail box; I had no voicemails in my box whatsoever and no miss calls. They are rude at this location and couldn’t care less about their customers they just want money.

Co-driver rented a car online using his debit card. They waited until we showed up and proceeded to waste an hour of our time telling him they wont accept debit cards anymore, DESPITE allowing him to book online a few days prior. Not one single person caught this. They claim the policy was changed a month ago. If thats true, why did they allow him to book a rental with a debit card in the first place? Why doesnt the website state this plainly? This proceeded to make us miss the chance to drop our truck off at the shop before they closed. Thanks for absolutely NOTHING, Enterprise! I only wish I could leave 0 stars!

Amazing customer service. We were on vacation and needed a rental for a day or two and everyone was so accommodating. Madison picked my up from the vacation home and made things so easy for the pick up. Bailey was a pleasure to talk to when I had called with questions. I would definitely rent from Enterprise again.

I needed a vehicle for a week in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. I spoke with the local personnel a couple of times on that day to confirm the rental, at which point they said they wouldnt be able to pick me up due to a shortage of personnel. So I called a cab and arrived at the pickup location only to find it closed - which they had forgotten to tell me. This turned a $9 cab ride into a $35 cab ride as I had to then go to a different location in a different city. The vehicle I picked up there had broken glass in the back seat and smelled overpoweringly of perfume for the entire duration of the rental. When I returned it, I then had to get another cab as they still werent able to drop me off. I understand these are difficult times for businesses, but the two main reasons I use Enterprise (the convenience of the locations and the pickup/dropoff service) were lacking, the vehicle wasnt clean, and while the staff was polite, I ended up spending an extra $25 due to their error.

My car broke down on a busy street. I was stranded with 2 kids in the car. I called to rent a car, and the guy asks for tons of documentation for using a debit card. Im in an emergency situation, and Im being asked to produce light bills and pay stubs!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! If you are reading this....RENT FROM LONG LEWIS IN MUSCLE SHOALS!!!! Very easy to rent and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I have had to use them twice and I really liked it. I went to enterprise simply because they were close by but never again will I make that mistake!!

Great experience. I selected a Jetta on the website when I was planning my trip because I didn’t need much room in the vehicle. But when I got there to pick up the car they didn’t have a Jetta available so they gave me a Pathfinder instead at the same price of the Jetta. The car was clean and the service was quick and great!

I was in desperate need of a rental. They were fast, efficient, and I got a phenomenal vehicle - Ford Edge. The staff knew what they were doing, and I was on my way in 10 minutes. The return was also fast - in and out in less than 10 minutes. I always rent from here because of the service, and options. You will be pleased.

I rent mostly from Enterprise because they have the monopoly on rental cars. This time I rented a van for a week. Saturday to Saturday but they closed before I got back. They took away the key drop so I had to return it on Monday morning. They charged me 320$ something for the whole week but then added 60+$ for Sunday and Monday so I ended up paying 320+ for 7 days and and 120$+ for basically 1 and 1/2 days. Total bill 447$ because they chose to take the key drop box. I’m assuming so they could charge you more. Also I gave them a 3 star because they did have my van when I got there. I have had many many times where they just give your size car away to who every comes in and needs one even though you have reservations. I’m going to try to never rent from them again but it won’t hurt them in anyway because one small fish doesn’t matter anymore.

I did have an issue that can likely be boiled down to misunderstanding between the insurance company, Enterprise and myself regarding the rental time period and the damage waiver fees included in the rental period. I was very unhappy initially but after speaking with Caleb he did his best from a customer service standpoint. I will chalk it up to a learning experience and I appreciate the time that Caleb took for service recovery. I initially left a 1 star review but I have changed to a 4 star due to Calebs efforts.

I ordered online and got a brand new Expedition. Nick was great he took care of our car rental problems. Since they did not have a Toyota Rav for my sister he upgraded to a Dodge Ram Pickup. In all the years I have rented I have never had them to call me on my vacation to check and make sure we had no problems.. Great customer service

If I could leave no stars I would. Slow service with numerous people standing outside due to covid-19, or sitting on chairs that I never saw get wiped down after someone used it, location change for pick up, unwillingness to do a pick up service when I booked it in advance, not having the car I reserved, and then they forget to tell you about a policy change which isn’t posted up clearly on their website for out of state license holders about using a credit card instead of a debit card...which I have always used in the past for my many rentals from Enterprise across the USA. Well no longer. I will never again use enterprise and never recommend anyone to use them again. They are unreliable with their changes in policy and their failure to clearly notify their potential customers.

Set up a rental on Thursday for two days. Everything set head over to Florence to pick up the car for a planned business trip. Returning at same time on Saturday. Well thats where is all goes south. They informed me that the car had to be back by one not 5. Which would be 48hrs and impossible to make. This is the first time it was mentioned . This delay cost me two hours of my time that is billed at greater the rate than the car rental for each hour. They offered no solution other than to force me to rent it two extra days. And return on monday. Not hey we will discount the rate so it comes out the same or any reasonable solution. Turns out this is the same for Myscle Shoals as well. My experience has made me check the area for an honest car rental facility. Which is also not Hertz as they are lost in space somewhete. However Avis while I did not use them were honest friendly and professional. If you need a rental car in the shoals area try them first. It they are out drive to Madison or Memphis as I did.

I have used Enterprise on Florence Blvd for many years. Staff has always been friendly and courteous. They stay busy, so a walk-in might not be quick, but planning ahead helps expedite the process. Also, especially if you rent online, they may not have something in a particular class available (economy, compact, medium-sized, etc), but they offer free upgrades. They provide pick-up service and have been very amenable if I have had to extend rentals for any reason. Cars have always been good and clean. I have never had a wreck or other bad incident in a rental, so I dont know how that would go. But I have used them many times and will continue to do so.

The employees are nice and very friendly. But if you can an insurance claim avoid at all cost. 3 years ago we had to use them for 2 weeks due to an accident not out fault. Day 2 flat tire we had to pay for that. Also it took 2 days longer than anticipated to repair our car. They charged US not insurance for additional days. Today we went Allstate paying total bill. They wanted again to charge our debit card. NO DO NOT FO THIS. I will never be back and will refer friends and family to avoid at all cost.

Showed up at my appt to pick up my car only to be told there wasnt one available. They offered a free upgrade so I ended up with something that looked more like a minivan than a car. Otherwise, everything was fine. Next time I will probably just go somewhere I know I can get what I want.

Rental prices are average and vehicles are nice. They had limited# of vehicles available the day I needed to rent. The personnel working were nice and tried to me my vehicle needs. The insurance push was too heavy handed. Even though not required, the agent made sure I understood the consequence if an accident occurred without the extra insurance.

I rented a car from this location because there is not a rental service in my town. The man at the body shop told me that sometimes Enterprise will pick up the car from the shop. I live 51 miles away so I thought this would be perfect because I would not have to drive and have someone follow me. So, I called the office to see if that was an option. The girl was so rude to me and made it like I was an idiot for asking such a question. They have awful employees, and I will be calling corporate. If you work in customer service you should have a pleasant attitude.

For the most part everything was great, except for hidden fees in the beginning, and make sure you have a CREDIT CARD not debit. They wouldnt take our debit card, that was a fine print detail apparently. They need to be more straight forward about things like that. Would I rent from them again? Maybe if I was desperate.

They let me reserve a car that they did not have, I was only able to pick up a car an hour after my reservation that someone had returned, they did not even know what kind it was and told me I would just have to see when I arrived. They didnt even clean or attempt to wipe down the car before my arrival.

I called two weeks prior to needing a vehicle (SUV due to multiple car seats) while my car was in the shop. I also confirmed the morning of the pickup that they had my reservation. When I dropped my car at the body shop, I stayed on hold for 15 minutes for them to come pick me up with no answer. The body shop owner then offered to have someone pick my car up at the rental place due to Enterprise not being available. So I drove to Enterprise, still on hold, and walked into the building with NO worker in sight and the phone continuously ringing. When the worker did come, he said that he didnt have an SUV that he could give me and that Allstate was not going to pay for an SUV anyway. He stated he had been too busy to get to my reservation. I explained that I would call the Allstate Adjuster to correct the SUV issue bc I knew that was an oversight on their part. When I asked my options, he said maybe muscle shoals has something and started helping the next customer. My husband then left work and came to Enterprise, while I was on the line correcting the SUV issue with Allstate. Within 5 minutes of my husband walking in, I was driving away with an SUV....an SUV that the first guy said they didnt have. So BEWARE ladies, evidently we dont have enough testosterone to rent a car. Took over an hour to do something that shouldve been done in ten minutes. The Company that Picks You Up left me and my three little kids stranded.

Absolutely the worst experience we have ever had. We wrecked our car the day before. We called and reserved a vehicle, only to be called after we had already left home and told numerous documents that we needed to bring. When we told them we couldnt, they informed us we had an hour and a half to drive an hour back home to get these documents even though I didnt have a car to do that. After arriving there and supplying documents from our bank, they still would not rent us a car. It took over an hour and a half - two hours to rent the car which we were denied. Went to pick up a car that the family had reserved, was informed by the front desk person that the rates had changed and the deposits are now $200.00 to get the vehicle. The employee was belligerent and defensive. We explained that we have been renting cars at this location for over 10 years and were not aware of the changes in deposit amounts. We were stunned at the rude way that we were treated. This industry is the service industry, but this is NOT service. There are ways to convey your message and not be rude. Lucky for us Hertz is now available in Florence and that is exactly what we did. Enterprise is reminded of the golden rule of the service industry: If you dont take care of your customer than someone else will!!

They are not helpful at all I have complained about them numerous of times and still nothing has changed. The manager she has a nasty tone and wont help you, all she does is transfer you to another rep. Not a friendly place at all. I like muscle shoals but they dont Beverly have cars.For the company good deals but horrible horrible customer service. So sad we pay our hard earned money to be treated like they paying us for us to pay them. Its not coming out of your pockets so why be so rude. Please find some more friendlier people for the Florence location I would not recommend this location to no one

The lack of information about forms of payment, and what is required when go to rent the vehicle is overly aggravating. You make the phone call, check the website, and that information is not included, and while the people are very nice, they could have let it be known about their credit card only payments before we made the hour trip only to leave empty handed. And it wasted a great deal of our time that we didnt have to waste.

There arent enough stars for me to review the Florence location. They literally saved our lives. We were stranded at the old airport in Courtland, having been forced to land due to bad weather/zero visibility during a cross country helicopter flight. There were no services of any kind in Courtland, and the weather wouldnt lift enough for us to fly the 14 miles to Florence. Enterprise drove well out of their area to come and get us, and stayed after closing to get us into a car for the night. They didnt have to do all of this, but their doing so stopped us from attempting to fly in virtual zero visibility to try to make it to Florence. We probably wouldnt have made it had we tried to fly. This is why I use only Enterprise, they have never disappointed me. Great people, and over the top service! Thanks again.

The worst!! We reserved a car to be picked up in Nashville and dropped off at this location, which was indicated in our rental agreement. When I tried to return our car here they told me they couldnt accept the return and that we would have to return it to Huntsville. I told them that was not an option and they said they couldnt help me AND WALKED AWAY! The guy actually scurried off in to a back room and refused to help me! Avoid this place at all costs!

I have used enterprise for years, but the service in the Shoals has really faded. You can no longer leave your vehicle, and they will not pick you up. Hardly ever have the vehicle class you ask for.
