I had a check engine on and issues with my Jeep. I called the day I needed it fix and they were quick in getting it diagnosed that day and it was fixed that same day too. After my Jeep was fixed Adam checked in to see that it was running fine. I would really recommend them and if I ever need to go to an auto shop I’ll definitely come back to them.

Brought our Sienna in with a noise coming from the engine. They diagnosed the issue two hours after dropping off. It was the water pump. No part in Flagstaff so they ordered one in and had the car fixed the next day. I was impressed with professionalism and willingness to listen to me, didn’t just brush me off. Price was about as I expected. I had done some research before bringing it in and knew what the labor involved.Two months earlier, I had taken it to University Auto. It took them two days to diagnose the problem and they didn’t even find the right thing. Wanted $2300 to fix the thing that wasn’t the problem. I wasn’t willing to pay that so brought the vehicle home and replaced the part they said it was (tensioner pulley) and noise didn’t go away. So took it here after the noise kept getting worse.Very pleased with my experience with Ascot. Based on this one experience, I highly recommend them.

Adam at Ascot helped us out of a jam. After getting stranded with our travel trailer outside flag he fit us in the very next day when nobody else in town could. Saved the day. Would definitely bring my truck here regularly if I could. Nice shop and great service.

These guys are top notch mechanics. I had some issues with my car during my cross country roadtrip. I have asked a shop few hundred miles earlier and they assured me that my vehicle was fine. All technicians at Ascot automotive worked as a team, diagnosed the issue and made my car safe for the road for a fair price. Highly recommended shop and i wish this shop is next to my home.

I drove into town to do some errands and I needed someone to look at my car. I drive an old sedan from the 1990s so it’s up there in years and mileage. I noticed that something was off about my car when I was completing turns and driving in the snow.I called up Ascot to have a look at my car and conduct a wheel alignment. It was around 1:30 in the afternoon so late in the day but they took me in anyways. Ascot did my alignment and they pointed out some lingering issues to look into down the road. They even pointed out where a mouse was nesting under the hood!Will, Chris, and the crew were honest, professional, and timely toward me. They took the time to provide me with service and they provided a thorough inspection of my vehicle. I don’t know if I want to do all of the repairs to my vehicle but I’m glad they pointed them out to me. I would certainly give Ascot a shot if you’re looking for auto service in Flagstaff.

I had a severe oil leak occur in my Subaru Impreza just days before I was to move to the Northwest. Friends had recommended them to me before so I automatically went to them. Ascots was honest about what types of repairs needed to be done and since it occurred where the timing belt was they included suggestions of other preventative work since all of it had to be taken apart anyways, saving me time and money in the future. Also, they called me beforehand before moving forward with any bumps they might encounter to get my permission and explain to me what the process was going to look like if I gave them the go ahead. What was awesome is that they worked with me on the time frame I had, getting the repairs done with a day and a half. Additionally, a week later they even texted me to check in to see how the car was doing. Glad to say I picked up my car and left the next day, making it all the way to my destination without any hiccups.

My husband and I are new to the Flagstaff area and needed a good automobile mechanic. My neighbors recommended Ascot. They were so professional and courteous I will definitely take my vehicles there again. Two things: they quoted that the car would take all day it only took a half a day, they quoted a high amount and when we got there it was half the cost. Now that is honest! Brought my car in because the master warning light was going off in my car. I repeatedly said this was the issue and they DID fix the check engine light but did not address my actual problem. They said that getting my muffler replaced would fix it. I asked if it could be anything else. Guess what? Wasnt my muffler! Wasted $900 and all I needed was an oil change.

Went in for an alignment and was quoted$75, and thats what we paid. Im very satisfied with their honesty and quality of work. I will be using them again

Little expensive, but they did what I needed done and got me in right away. They also followed up with me to make sure it was still working well. I recommend.

We took my truck in to have the timing belt replaced and they called us to ask if we wanted the serpentine belt replaced because it was almost ready to break as well. They had all the work done in under 20 hours from the time it got dropped off. We called around town and they had the best prices. Awesome customer service, price and quick at a clean shop. I will never take my truck anywhere else.

Quality and honestly in automotive repair that is hard to find. My truck was towed in on a Friday. I was expecting several days before I heard anything. Several hours later I received a call w/ a diagnostic and repair estimate. The master clutch cylinder was replaced same day and was ready at 5pm. Final bill was as quoted. Based on my experience, 5 stars without reservation.

Brought in a Ford with alignment issues Ive been battling for over a year and no other shop wanted to deal with it, one stop at Ascot Automotive and the problem was solved at a very reasonable price. It took multiple days to find the issue and resolve it but Will keeps the customer informed on the progress made. Out of the few alignment shops in town I would say they are clearly the best.

I came in with some damage done to the underneath my jeep and couldnt believe how quickly they were able to get the jeep into the shop, the problem identified, and fixed. I was back on the road with the nasty noises completely gone in no time at all. Big shout out to Will and the rest of the crew for making this as easy and with the best of customer service I could ask for! I highly recommend Ascot.

This last time Jim and team spent so much time trying to figure out why the truck wouldnt start only to finally conclude it had to be the internal computer which they couldnt fix due to reprogramming, etc. They didnt even charge me for their time AND they took the truck to the dealer for me. The best, and most honest repair shop in town. As a local to Flagstaff, I have never heard a negative comment about these folks. While your in dropping off your vehicle, or picking it up, you can even pick up some outstanding BBQ supplies from big Joe!

Ascot is the best! Joe is of the old school kind of mechanics: find out whats wrong, fix it right, and leave what doesnt need fixing. He takes care of my cars like he would his own. And hes more than fair. My last visit, the total bill came in for less than the preliminary estimate, and when an intermittent problem showed up, he fixed that at no extra charge. Of course, I never enjoy having to go in for car repairs, but I know it will be done right, honest, friendly, and caring at Ascot.

I have now been here three times in total and each experience has been fantastic. They take the time to explain each problem in detail, they review the different options to fix it, and explain each charge associated. The customer service side of this business is the best I have experienced. Thank you Joe and Will for taking such good care of me and my truck!

Will and Dave were great!!!! Broke down on a trip and even though it was unlucky to break down I was lucky enough to find these guys!!! They were busy but took the time to get me in and out within an hour so I could get back on the road and finish my vacation!! I had my engine rebuilt at Ascott over a year ago. Ive been waiting to write a review to see how the engine held up over time.The proof is in the pudding - These place does quality work!! Im grateful that I found this shop. They are very honest, experienced, fair, knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. Its still running strong and I really appreciate the quality work you all do and for always working with me, and getting me back on the road. Not only do I rely on my truck for work, it has a lot of value to me, thank you.I have a 1992 Ford F150 5.8 V8. which Ive traveled all over the country with it since 2016. When I moved to Flagstaff in 2018 I knew that if I wanted to keep it, I would have to have certain parts of the engine rebuilt.I also knew that I would have to find a repair shop in town that :1) I could trust,2) liked working on ford engines,3) could see how much I value my truck.4) I would be able to rely on in the future if my truck had an issue, and who knew my engine.So, I took a list of what I thought needed done to the engine to 5 different repair shops in town. When Will greeted me, he was very kind and interested to see what I needed done. After we went over the list of the rebuild I thought i needed, he mentioned that he had worked on & even built engines just like the one in my truck! In fact he has many times, when he would race. He even used to have one himself.Will took a look at my list of items and took the time to give me quote before I brought my truck back. When I decided on Ascot, I brought my truck back and they did a diagnostic. They were quick and honest in finding that most of the items on the list were expensive repairs that I wouldnt need.They instead took the time to point out what the engine would actually need for a rebuild. This was huge. After Will took the time to go over what the rebuild would entail, I was very appreciative to understand more about my truck, and felt better about deciding on Ascott as the shop to do the rebuild.I agreed on the fair price they gave me, and they rebuilt the engine. It only took them a week and when I came to pick it up I was amazed at how quickly they took care of it, how they were as exited as I was, and of course I was amazed at how much better it ran! i was able to meet the person who rebuilt my engine and he showed me a few things. He did an incredible job.New things - un-associated with my engine rebuild - have come up over the past year and Ascott has continued to do quality repairs, while remaining very efficient, honest, and friendly in helping me get back on the road quickly.As I mentioned before -These guys are awesome. We had a mishap with a mouse getting into our truck engine (and chewing wires) while camping in Sedona, and Will and his team at Ascot took amazing care of us! Not only was he very nice on the phone during my initial call (he felt badly that the garage was very busy and he was not sure if he could get us in until later the next day - which didnt work for us and so we called about 8 other garages) but within 20 or so minutes of that initial call Will called me back explaining that they just had a cancellation, and they got us right in! My husbands truck was able to be fixed by end of that business day and we were able to hit the road early the next morning. Thank you to Will and the rest of the team at Ascot Automotive!

Impressive customer service! Ive got an older truck and its hard to get parts for, half the ordered parts were wrong so they fixed what they could and said I could pick it up for the weekend and then bring it back and they would finish the job. I tired to pay them for what they did but they said, You pay us when we finish the job and not before. Are you serious? Respect for their customers and basic human kindness, I didnt even know that existed anymore. Oh and they fix vehicles and stand behind their work too. This is one of only 2 places in town that I trust to work on my vehicles.

The folks at Ascot Automotive are absolutely outstanding! I landed in Flagstaff as I was driving out West via I-40 from the east coast for a much needed solo trip, camping and hiking in Southern Utah and the Four Corners area. My new, used 2006 Diesel Jetta TDI (manual) started behaving oddly travelling across Texas with distracting subtle surges and hesitations at highway speed. Very unsettling for a woman travelling alone in an unfamiliar vehicle. I pressed on to Flagstaff and spent the night. Prior to a scheduled oil change the following morning at the VW dealership, a second noise kicked in that sounded like a problematic clutch/flywheel when shifting into the lower gears…but both had been replaced before the trip. The mechanics at the dealership looked over the vehicle but with no resolution. In desperation I called Ascot Automotive after reading the rave reviews and about heroic rescues of travelers stranded in Flagstaff, on line. One of the smartest calls I have ever made. My initial conversation with Joe, the owner/manager, was spirited, informative, and helpful. At first he said they were backed up for a week with scheduled jobs and referred me to another mechanic. Fortunately, at the close of the conversation, Joe added that IF I could not find any help that they would look at the Jetta. The following day I appeared at Ascot Automotive in a last ditch effort to determine if the car was safe enough to drive and not leave me stranded. If they did not have time to check out the vehicle, then I was just going to take my chances, get back on I-40, and head East.They took me in! From the moment I walked in the shop it felt like family. Everyone that I met was kind, interesting, knowledgeable, patient, methodical, and worked well together. Bryan, the gifted VW mechanic (awesome!!!), spent about 5 hours investigating and diagnosing the problems. Eventually he judged that the vehicle was good to go! Both Bryan and Joe considered the Jetta safe enough to put their own grandmothers behind the wheel.The car made it back without incident! Oh, and all the time spent on the diagnostics?….. No charge! Never have heard of any garage or business doing something like that. Overall, a great experience that renewed my faith in humankind.So, the upshot is, if you are in Flagstaff and have car trouble, Call Ascot! They are honest, kind, caring, trustworthy, gifted mechanics, and good folks.Thanks a million!

I drove up to Flagstaff this Memorial Day weekend and everything was going great until my Volvos radiator exploded after parking my car at the Humphreys Peak trailhead (Snowbowl). I called a friend for help and they recommended Ascot Automotive so I called and talked to Joe. When I asked him if I could bring my car in for repair, he said the next available appointment was on Friday (it was Tuesday), but when I told him I was from Tempe and couldnt be stranded in Flagstaff for that long he told me to bring the car in that day and he would try to get me home as soon as possible. He was very nice on the phone and in person when I was dropped off by the tow truck (quite funny, too!). The repair was completed less than 24 hours later. He suggested I change the radiator hoses but when I explained that I just graduated from ASU this month and havent started working yet, he said hed look at the hoses and let me know if theyd be safe enough to get me back to Tempe. I really wanted to wait for that expense until I have more funds, and he assured me that they were good enough to get me home but I should think about replacing the hoses soon. I just made it back home to Tempe this afternoon and Im so relieved to be sleeping in my own bed tonight. It was really stressful to break down while I was out of town and I felt like Joe was really honest, gave me a fair price, and the mechanics did a great job of fixing my car. Sometimes shops arent even willing to work on Volvos (I normally go to a Volvo specialty shop in Phoenix), so I also appreciate that they have someone to work on Volvos at Ascot. Overall, I felt very well taken care of and highly recommend them.
