I would just like to say and point out the obvious, the owner of this place doesn’t want to deal with smart start customers, the owner thinks he’s entitled to be extremely rude to customers that just try to get their device recalibrated. He even stated he makes pennies doing the recalibration. He has no business in being in business. Look at the reviews, just about every customer with a DUI has 1 star rating for this guy. He isn’t here to help you but to make your life more miserable. Who shuts their machines down 2 hours early?? If you ask me id be excepting new clients and doing everything I can to make customers happy. I my self have a few projects that need to be fixed and was hoping this place was decent but turns out the owner doesn’t like new business. Smart start has heard my story and smart start is in investigation with accu-brake. If you don’t mind a little more of a drive the guys down in cottonwood love new customers especially the ones who come from accu-brake. Not only where they on the ball they got me in and out within matter of minutes. I will drive the 3 hours just to give those guys my business in hoping you do to! I’m willing to bet the owner will comment saying I came in being rude from the start when in fact I came in looking to have service done asking if there was anyway for service to be completed that day. He took that as being rude and completely went off the walls on me. Raised his voice and demanded I waited for an open date. Which I didn’t even get that far before he came around the corner screaming. I did attempt to go back there for a second time. This time I was as polite as I could be and he recognized who I was and began yelling again.

These guys are the bomb! John thoroughly explained, in terms I could understand, exactly what they did to diagnose a strange sound/vibration I was experiencing with my Ford Excursion. Thank you!

Take my truck here all the time very well and experience staff they know what there doing this the only place I will take my truck they have keep everything 100 for me and I appreciate that so much it hard to find good customer service these days thank you guys.

Could of been 5 star, but when i spend 1900 to have the work done everything should be put back the way it was. They put a injection pump in and now the clutch fan plug not plugged back in loose fan shroud. Then the clutch fan cut the wires and put a hole in the radiator. Didnt even get to drive the truck 10 miles Was supposed to pull trailer out today to head back but nope have now i have to replace the radiator. So much for 30yrs experience, but i know it will be done right since im doing it my self. Update had a oil leak when i made it home come to find out the inspection cover on the injection pump where it say do not over tighten was cracked from being over tighten. Even if it was the last place i would never take it there. Please stay away!

First off..jack thank you for your honesty and customer service I appreciate all you and your crew did to get me down the road. I had my lift kit installed here on my ram 1500, jack told me ahead of time that it might take 2 days depending on any problems they endure during the install. I really didnt want to spend the night because I was getting my tires the next day. But they got it done and aligned and out before 5pm, I am a satisfied customer and told my friends where I got my lift kit installed and I am sure they will be in the market for one soon..thank you and job well done..

By far the word customer service you can receive. Never have i ever been to an automotive shop and receive such mean/rude service. Take your vehicle elsewhere please it will save you a huge headache.

Gives great advice on what the car needs and could use without pushing sales of fixes that are not absolutely necessary. I turn to them whenever my car may have a problem.

I would never do business here. Who im presuming is the owner is a real piece of work who thinks he is better than people. And he makes up charges for things just because they inconvenience him. Never had an issue with the rest of the staff.

Honest, experienced, quality service at reasonable, competitive rates. Everything Id want from an automotive service team.They took care of our 1990 Civic back in the mid-late 90s after being recommended to us. We were always taken care of with integrity. For a long time after that, we had our cars serviced by a friend who also did great work and whom we wanted to support—however, when he closed up his business we came back to Accu-Brake last year. It was the same guys, they remembered us, and still provide the same excellent quality of work as before. Trust is the biggest factor for me, and Im never concerned theyre going to push a service or repair we dont need.I just got back from having them check out some brake noise. They let me know status of wear on all 4 sets of rotors and pads, that the issue was likely road debris and I still had a few months of safe use left on the front pads. No need to change them out yet. They cleaned them all up to get rid of any remaining debris and only charged me a nominal fee for the tire rotation Id requested at the same time—no charge for checking out the brake noise & cleanup. Looking forward to working with them for a long time to come.

Like my grandfather said, do it right the first time is always this shops mindset. What Ive absolutely learned in my time on this earth is sh?? Happens when it comes to mechanical work but this shop will make it right no matter what it takes.

I have always been happy with their work, they are truly one of the few honest shops here in Flagstaff. I had some rear end noise coming from my differential on my 1995 F-150. Went two a mechanic in Williams, had it for three days and said it was a shock rubber, not! It is hard to find a good mechanic. But, I found it at Accu-brake. They addressed the problem in a professional manner and fixed the problem. Like I said, it is hard to find a honest and up front mechanic these days. But, I found it at Accu-Brake. Thanks, John & Jack and all mechanics involved!

Ive been taking all my vehicles to this shop for years. I like this shop in particular because they are willing to earn your trust. Its not a get you in and get you out kind of a place. Its quick service but only because they are great at what they do. The primary focus is proper repairs from Flagstaff locals that love thier town. I wont take a vehicle to a different shop as long as I live in Flagstaff.

Good people that you can trust! I was stuck in town with a mechanical problem on my Ford F250 desal,the staff at this shop got me back on the road ASAP.

I started taking my trucks to Jim at Flag 4X4 two years ago when I bought an old Ford Ranger that I knew needed a clutch. The work was done correctly the first time and Jim even called to ask if I wanted the transfer case and transmission fluids changed while he was in there (no charge for labor, just for the oil).Trucks break down. However, it is comforting to have a place to take them that you can trust will diagnosis the problem correctly and not charge you for parts you dont need. I unequivocally recommend Flag 4X4.

I’ve been trusting Accu-brake / Flagstaff 4x4 for 19 years now and they have never let me down, charged me too much or took any longer than absolutely necessary. Jim, John and Jack (next gen) are great and I would not use anyone else, extremely honest.

Ive been taking my truck here for about a year ever since my dealer invented something wrong with my shocks.Im really pleased with Accu-Brake and recommend them highly. They are honest and reliable folks and provide excellent customer care.I recommend you bring your vehicles to them for any repairs.

Its not concerning that you have bad reviews, whats concerning is your reactions to them. Its sickening to read your responses to your customers. Ive never seen a manager or owner treat upset customers so disgustingly and unapologetic to their bad experiences. And these interlock customers... why do you find it necessary to try and publicly humiliate them? its clear you treat them as second class citizens even though they create income for you regardless the amount.

If I could give them negative stars, I would.The people who work here are rude on top of the fact that they are robbing people blind. I recently went here to have a smartstart device installed and they modified the contract under false pretenses. Smartstart confirmed that these fees were not part of their contract and it became clear that the personnel at Accubreak were just trying to scam me. No wonder they were so adamently rushing me to sign and insisting that I had wrong information even though they refused to speak with the SmartStart rep. In the end, they refused to install the device unless I agreed to their falsified contract. When we tried to ask for a copy of the paperwork they flipped out and tore it up in front of me. Unfortunately they think think they can get away with intimidating people into paying extra since they are the only contracted shop to install this particular device. No matter the service, I would NOT TRUST these people with anything. They are abusers of our local community and do not deserve our business.

I remember this place. I wanted to choke out the bald manager that was working there. That dude needed to get laid or have a very long vacation cause everybody that worked there seemed to hate it.

Ive been taking my vehicles to Accu-Brake for almost 13 years. The quality, price, and timeliness of their work is absolutely unsurpassed. Small jobs, big jobs...always the same results. Theyve done everything from oil changes, brake jobs, bearing and seal repairs to a complete engine, radiator, and clutch replacement on my 1978 F-150.Im always hesitant to have complex, specialized repairs done at independent shops, but not with AccuBrake. They recently replaced the turbos on my 2008 F-250, a job that requires the cab to be lifted. They did the job professionally and the truck runs great. They also recently replaced both of my thermostats. Thats a five hour job that was, again, completed professionally and on-time.As you can see, you can take your vehicle to Accu-Brake for the most complicated repairs with complete confidence. Jim, John and Jake are automotive experts and they will take the very best care of you and your vehicle. They are the BEST.I took one of my vehicles to another shop for a throttle body fuel injection installation because I was told the shop was the best in town for that particular task. That was a BIG mistake. A job that was supposed to cost about $2000 ended up costing $4600!!!!....and, when I got the truck back, the grounding wire for the fuel pump was only connected with an alligator clip, one of the clamps on the fuel line was never tightened, causing a serious fuel leak and the brackets for both exhaust pipes were not reconnected and the pipes were hanging unsupported. They had to change the gear ring in my flywheel. The supervisor told me that the young tech worked hours trying to install the ring and eventually gave up. The supervisor told me that he got installed in 20 minutes. Yet, they still charged me $1200 in labor for that one task. Additionally, throttle was so sensitive that it is very difficult to move forward without spinning the wheels. When I complained about the problem, the shop supervisor told me that Id just have to get used to it!!!So, why tell this story about another repair facility in a review for ACCUBRAKE? Simply, because ACCUBRAKE is tried and proven. I would have NEVER gotten this type of service from ACCUBRAKE and shouldnt have strayed away. Theyve worked on all of my vehicles; old and new, foreign and domestic with the same flawless results. There might be other competent shops in town, but cant get better than what ACCUBRAKE has to offer.

Took truck to get shocks replaced. The nuts and bolts on the tires were not replaced properly. The bolts were rolling around in the hub cab. And possibly damaged the rods. What if I just kept driving and the tire fell off and I lost control of the vehicle!!!! Workers should pay attention to detail...and on another note...they dont provide military discount. I would take my vehicle to another place that does better service. Also I felt like I was being ignored the whole time I was there...poor customer service.

I took my Jeep Wrangler in to have an e-locker installed, they sent it out having broken the keepers and installed the e-locker backward, so I took it to r&r auto where they replaced the part and replaced a damaged bearing. I have no trust in Accu-Brakes ability to repair my vehicles.

Rudeness. Hastiness. Not are good choice to bring anything in. Parking is very limited. Dont ask too many questions, or youll to GTFO. Customer service is everything, and this place is lacking.
