My husband and I have been members since it opened and have been pleased every step of the way. The staff are helpful and the facilities are spotless. I love that you reserve swim lanes so youre guaranteed a spot!
So totally love this place!❤My husband and I joined 3 months ago and everything about Piedmont Wellness is amazing! The gym is fabulous, the classes are great and the customer service is always so kind, friendly, respectful and accommodating! Definitely enjoying every minute of staying healthy!🤸♂️🎈🎉
My children attend swim lesson there. And every time I take them there is a problem with the scheduling the swim Instructors are amazing. But the front desk/ whoever is responsible for making the schedule is horrible.
The facility is clean and well maintained. The personal training staff are helpful and friendly. However, the price of membership is steep if you don’t work for a company who helps you subsidize it ($80/month). That wouldn’t be an issue if there weren’t so much of a push for programs that cost extra on top of that. I participated in one program that challenged participants in groups of 10 to earn points and compete. However, once the competition began, the teams were much larger than had been advertised and unbalanced. When I emailed to voice my concerns, I was dropped from the program even though this was not what I was asking for. The director seemed like I was bothering him with my concerns. I was reinstated in the program after speaking to the staff, but this had made me leery of doing other programs with the facility.Despite this, the classes that are included in membership and the instructors are first class. I will continue to be a part of the facility due to the fitness instructors, included classes, and the care of the fitness staff. One additional note: there should be restrooms upstairs!
Piedmont Wellness Center is a bright spot during this pandemic. They take great strides for safety to ensure social distancing and impeccable cleaning. Staff/class instructors are friendly and knowledgeable. Recently did a PACT challenge consisting of teams competing against each other which was challenging for all ages and fostered comradery. I love the huge variety of free classes for all ages and abilities, which makes membership an exceptional value and a smart investment in your health.
You definitely get your money’s worth from Piedmont Wellness Center. Friendly, professional staff who are always there to help and answer questions. An array of classes that are geared toward various fitness levels.if you are worried about cleanliness don’t. The Center employs a full time cleaning crew. They along with the Fitness Instructors are constantly cleaning throughout the day.I highly recommend this center for all levels of fitness and ability. You will not be sorry. Excellent management team who cares about their members.
The Piedmont wellness center is top notch! Always clean and they continue to keep up with the covid protocols to make sure people feel safe and comfortable. The staff there are always so friendly and engage with you. They learn your names and they truly care about you and your safety!I see some not so good reviews on here but I must say it’s all written in the handbook and explained very well. I’ve never had any issues with the gym or the staff. They all are exceptional! Blake and Matt hold the gym to very high standards and it shows! The gym equipment it top of the line and they have some unique equipment that you won’t get anywhere else in the area! They have tons of group exercise classes and you have to try the Trip out! Even if you don’t like cycling, you will love it! Overall, if you are looking for a welcoming, clean, and great equipment in a gym! This is the place to go! Take a tour and I promise you will fall in love like I did!
They are the best of the best. From the first person you meet when you arrive to the last person you see on the way out. Clean, orderly, COVID-19 safe, I’ve never been to a better facility anywhere. Not gonna bash any other place but I’ve been a member of most all of them. No facet of the operation that is not stellar. Piedmont is a rare jewel when it comes to health and fitness centers who unquestionably is doing it all and is the Best!!! SIMPLY TOPS!!!
My family has been coming to this center since it opened! Being an all access member we are able to get the full benefit from this wonderful wellness center! From the Human Performance area, classes upstairs, equipment, and how they have it all organized, you can’t beat it! They have done such a great job keeping the center all clean throughout these unknown times. Our family feels so blessed to have such a great place with phenomenal staff that truly care about their members.
Daughter joined gym and on last visit informed front staff to terminate contract. She was informed that it would be cancelled. 3 months later charged $100. I spoke to gym and was told they would refund the $100. Now told they won’t refund because a form wasn’t submitted. A form that was not mentioned to my daughter or me in either discussion. That is what a $100/month gym membership gets in today’s world.(Note: there are numerous reviewers that have experienced cancellation difficulties. It appears that their policy is to verbally grant cancellations then mention the form requirement after subsequent payments are collected.)Update: Spoke to Blake. He stated its my responsibility to know a form is required because its policy. He said the employee I spoke with did not mention a refund or confirm cancellation, and I had to prove she did. And, lastly, he said Google Reviews are not important or indicative of their customer service.
Ive been coming here for over a year and I have yet to find a more clean and efficient place to work out. We are complimented on a daily basis. The fitness staff is awesome. They are very knowledgeable. The Human Performance trainers (Tavon&Jeremy) are phenomenal.
My wife and I have been going to this gym since it first opened. Exercise has recently become a big part of our lives so we’re typically there 5-6 days out of the week. It’s a second home lol. Staff members are dope, facility is always clean, and the equipment is nice! As much as the gym has grown in membership over the past year, I still have yet to go to the gym and not have access to the machines/squat racks I need to use.I would give 6 stars if I could! 💪🏾
Very happy with my membership at Piedmont Wellness Center!!! Very clean, well maintained with a very friendly and helpful staff. The wide range of equipment and classes at the facility offers something for all levels of fitness. Staff is eager to help those just getting started or those who want to try something new.
This is the place to be if you’re looking for a clean, good quality professional gym. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and also attentive. Plus you’ll get your money’s worth. Did I also mention how clean the facility is!
Stellar facility! The staff is very professional and truly care about the well being of their members. I feel safe coming to the center because they are always on top of their game when it comes to cleanliness.
I am so thankful to be a part of this great family. I GET to do this most every day. The staff and the facility motivates me to want to get up crazy early most days to come and take full advantage of all the Center has to offer. My top three favorite things about PWC:1) Friendly, engaged and professional staff2) Clean, sanitized and comfortable environment3) Variety of options to choose from to optimize my fitness experienceThank you to the staff who go out of their way to make this an inviting, safe and pleasurable place that I want to come to every day! God bless! MJ
The Piedmont wellness program have been a great motivator that changed my lifestyle. I’ve become disciplined with the group workouts and focused on my daily food plan. Thanks to this program.
LOVE the Wellness Center!!! The classes are challenging and current, instructors are excellent (and fun!), and the facility is bright, open and clean. Love that you dont need a lock for the lockers or a towel.
This is truly an amazing to workout. The staff keeps it very clean and sanitized. I highly recommend! Just truly awesome!
Great atmosphere and EXTREMELY clean. I love that the swimming pool has signups, so you can guarantee your lap swim workout. Staff are super friendly and I love the location!
I felt right at home when I first came to Piedmont. Full of friendly people who work there and they really care about cleanliness. If you are in need of assistance with equipment, trainers are always there for you. Very good experience.
I enjoy working out here. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The center is very clean. I highly recommend.
This place is awesome! Very clean. And the staff is wonderful. I highly recommend.
I have been a member of this facility since it opened in 2019. The facility is very clean and every staff member is fully committed to keeping the place sparkling. The members are also very active in maintaining the cleanliness of the equipment after they have used it. I have felt very safe there even during COVID. The staff is very professional and always willing to help you with meeting your fitness and health goals. They are supportive and not judgmental. All are welcome at Piedmont Wellness not only by the staff but by fellow members as well. There are manyclasses offered to all members to provide a variety of options that assist individuals with their fitness journeys. The instructors of these classes are simply outstanding. The only negative I can provide, which is not a huge deal, just an inconvenience, is that there are no restroom facilities for us on the workout floor. The restrooms are all located on the lower lever. Kind of narrow thinking on the part of facility designers. I whole heartedly recommend Piedmont Wellness Center to one and all.
A triumph for human performance
I really love this facility ! The staff calls you by your name, and it’s well maintained and definitely state of the art!
Let me start by saying that at the beginning, Piedmont was great...new gym, new shiny equipment, cheerful staff...and I was enamored and hyped to go in and workout 5 days a week...but the longer I went there and was a member the more things I began to notice that I did not rub me the right way. Fortunately I have my own private place to workout so I rarely use the gym and will be ending my membership at the end of this month. However; I think it is important to share my personal experience with people looking for a gym. The integration of physical therapy is absolutely awesome and standalone very beneficial for people looking for PT care that delivers results. I love how they integrate wellness and exercise which is what many smaller clinics need to be effective in treating their clients...however..overhead cost of equipment for many smaller clinics is a huge factor...the gym side standalone however left a really bad aftertaste in my mouth. The first thing I noticed was the first unexpected increase in membership dues within the first two years of operation. The second thing I noticed was a decrease in staff circulation and engagement with members. This is not to say there is zero engagement, but that they tend to engage with only select few members. There are only a handful of fitness staff that are incredibly personable and 3 front desk staff who are actually super nice and greet each individual member by name which is awesome...the third and final thing I have to mention to is a surprising lack of professionalism from a gentleman who I believe to be the head of personal training...short guy with buzz cut. Out of respect, his name will be left out. While helping out my fiancée and her friends at the gym in the squat area, he approaches us and disrespectfully interrupts us and says no personal training or further action will be taken loudly. I was embarrassed..not for me... but for him since it was a display of his true colors and lack of professionalism in the work environment. That being said, I kept my composure and just worked in with the group. Let it be noted that there was no financial compensation on my end, and there are other noticeable times when other members did this and the same gentleman either didnt notice or just turned his head. Without pointing fingers, all I can say if this is a policy, enforce it equally and do not target specific individuals in favor over others. The absolute final thing I noticed lack of equipment maintenance, especially the cable machines. Hopefully this is or has been rectified for safety of the current members.I hope this sheds incite for those looking into a gym, not as a means to persuade you or sway, but just want to share my personal experience so you can approach it and make an informed decision before signing on. Hopefully the gym has improved because it was a good gym at the beginning. They did tend to become a little lax on enforcing social distancing, but hopefully they are back on the ball with that too.
Ive been a member since they opened. But had a baby six months ago. I phoned today and asked about taking my child to swim with me and was told no, not until she reaches 4 years old for swim lessons and I cant pay to get her a membership till shes 6 years old. But they also are not providing childcare for me to swim. So basically paying $160 to not be able to use facilities I pay for. Piedmont, you need to get your act together. Either let me pay for her to swim with me, or provide the childcare advertised and supposedly included in my monthly membership fees, because current policy is ridiculous.
I love working out here! They have so many classes to choose from and the instructors are phenomenal!!
I love this place! Everyone is really personable and beyond helpful! It is always always clean and everyone has a smile on their face! I enjoy the path surrounding the gym as well and the variety in music. I appreciate that the gym stayed open and cautious affiliated with piedmont during COVID. I work for piedmont and I find it very helpful to work out during this time!
I was a member at the old Piedmont fitness center near the hospital, followed them to the new wellness center, no regrets. I have been to many gyms and have never seen this variety of equipment and classes, The instructors and staff are the best in the business, as are the housekeeping staff that keep it spotless. I am a spin fan and enjoy the Trip room, which contains a wall-size immersive video screen and sound system for the many challenging rides. Bikes were reduced from 30 to 9 for covid. Distancing measures are in place throughout the gym, as are sanitizing wipes and sprays, helping to keep it covid-free. The gym was closed for around a month in May 2020 to establish covid protocols, and since then is a highlight of this pandemic, providing a safe exercise facility to maintain physical and mental health. Thank you Piedmont Wellness!
Facility is A+++ and the staff is even better. Much love to the best staff in the land!!!
I enjoy coming to this gym.... so many great classes and great instructors...
I have been taking physical therapy to improve my walking and stamina. What a HUGE difference after only three sessions. Ashley is great!
Fantastic gym, friendly staff, and kept super clean. The gym has machines, free weight, rubber weights for Olympic lifts, pool, and sauna.
The staff is exceptional, attentive, and I love the cleanliness of the Gym. Always a smile and welcome when I show up. 😊👍🏻🏋️♀️
Due to COVID, I decided to cancel my membership earlier this year. They would not let me cancel over the phone. So I went in person, only to be charged again anyway. I called to investigate and they said that I did not cancel and was therefore charged again. I told them I cancelled in person, and if they did not believe me, that they could check their security cameras. I disputed the charge through my credit card company thinking this would all be over. However, I just got notified today that my dispute was denied because piedmont still claims that I did not cancel. I will not rest until you refund the money you stole. Why are you making this so difficult?
Great staff and very clean facility. 👌
Be very careful in signing up with this place. they will steal your money. i signed up with them when they ist open. i was having the payment come out my account. it was on a month to month bases, so i can cancel at anytime. then covid hit, and i stopped going in april. i went to cancel my membership because of covid. they told to just bridge it until september to you can just come back. well september came and covid is still here. so i never be back. well i checked my checking account and today they took out $258 out my account. i was mad but since i have not been there i thought i would bet my money back. but they said no because i didnt offially cancel. they billed me from september til today without saying a word to me they just STOLE my money/ i wold tell you its not worth what they charge go somewhere else
We used to be members of this gym from the time it opened until last week. My husband had 1 issue in the mens locker room and I had no issues until last week. I went to the front desk to pay for personal training and was talking to the front desk personnel who began looking up my information. As she was looking up my information, another guest walked into the gym and she greeted her as she should have. The new guest reaches over me to scan her card and proceeds to talk to the lady behind the desk as if I was not standing there and asks for a ticket. The person behind the desk, instead of asking this guest to wait because she was obviously dealing with me she instead tells me to wait while she grants this new guests request. I said but I was here first and she then told me she understood but needed to wait on her first. I walked away and went to get into my car, never getting the personal training I was attempting to pay for. My husband suggested I speak with a manager so I went back into the gym and Blake came out. I explained the situation and how I felt it was very rude of her and was not good customer service to treat a guest this way since I pay a great deal for my family of 5 to attend the gym. His first response was well I think she did an amazing job handling the situation! I couldnt believe my ears. Instead of backing the customer and listening he praised the employee for RUDE behavior. My husband even stepped in and said had she even acknowledged that it was rude or said do you mind if I wait on his guest first or anything this would have come across differently. They both communicated to me that I didnt matter and since I didnt matter my dollars shouldnt matter and we canceled our memberships. As soon as I mentioned canceling then he wanted to back track and say well think about it. You have given us great feedback on our training because what we train employees to do can be misinterpreted. Again, I dont matter and my concern is not valid. The employee only after I canceled apologized. I couldnt believe it.
January 2020 I visited the Piedmont Wellness Center. I wanted to enjoy the sauna. As i walked in I noticed 2 people completely dressed in the sauna!!! I could not believe my eyes. One person was even on his iPhone. I put my sauna towel on the wooden bench and added some water to the hot coals. One of the folks with the iPhone I think took a picture of me. I can not believe that they allow people in the sauna completely dressed!!! I have NEVER witnessed this in my entire life. Filthy clothes and sneakers in a humid sauna. Good luck not catching some infection in their. This is a pure health concern - not to mention a privacy concern: people taking pictures in a sauna!!!! That was my first and last visit.
This place has a clean, open design with friendly staff. Its a great place to work out. They also have dedicated space on the second floor for physical therapy patients and staff to conduct scheduled sessions.
I am truly disappointed in this center! I called to cancel my membership in the beginning of June due to their hours not working with my work schedule. (Their hours of operation are very slim.) The woman I spoke with over the phone insured me that everything had been cancelled.Fast forward a month later, I received an email from Krista Kirsh asking me how much membership was going. I told her that I had cancelled last month, so it was strange that she would still be contacting me. She replied back saying that she wasn’t seeing anything in the system in regards to my cancellation.Long story short, I am stuck with paying for a another month (Basic Plan: $80 a month) due to someone’s else’s error. The $80 is not so much of a big deal, but it’s more so the principal. They said because they had no documentation of me canceling the first time, they can not honor my word. So someone else not doing their job has effected me, NO BUENO!Going forward, if you guys are wanting to do business with this company, MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS IN WRITING/EMAIL, so you won’t be stuck dealing with this issue.(I was going to restart my membership with them once they extended their hours, however I will no longer be doing that due to this issue)-Charmaine
