After over a year, several re-scans, new trays over and over again... I finally requested a refund from this company... however, a refund(that was not in full) doesnt pay for the damage done... I was left with my bite off, a clicking jaw, and my teeth still crooked. I definitely regret this. Not to mention the yellow teeth I got from this mess.. the whitening never worked either. To say Im disappointed would be an understatement... I believe theres a lawsuit now for this company for the same things.I want my mouth fixed... this is so depressing 😒

Literally awful. I tried them for two years and it scratched and caused my teeth to be sensitive to the touch and definitely did not straighten my teeth. They are extremely uncomfortable and will push your gums up really far. Oh and when you want a refund its an extremely long precess that they will drag out and continue to charge your card the entire time even after telling you the account is canceled. Oh and i hope they refund the correct card that actually belongs to you because ive had to call twice with complaints about the fact they are trying to refund a card that doesnt even belong to me. Each time they have said that its fixed and updated just to send a new verification email with yet again the wrong card numbers. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone ever.

Worst place I have ever experienced I got an offer on a “deal” for SDC they did X-rays, took a few hundred dollar down payment, told me they would be in the mail in x amount of time. I waited, waited, waited & waited made multiple phone calls before them telling me they wouldn’t send anything out before having X-rays sent from my dentist even tho I already did a 3D X-ray in the office. A year later and at this point I just want a refund for going thru such an awful experience & they refused to even do that. I would give 0 starts if I could DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH THIS OFFICE ITS A TOTAL SCAM!!!!

Was a super easy and fun experience! Crystal was very easy to talk to and extremely knowledgeable! Can see a live 3D rep of your teeth being created as they scan them with a small mouth scanning wand. It’s the thing they say takes 6000 images a second. Would highly recommend the scan if there is a location nearby.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Smile Direct. It was a bad decision on my part to trust them with my smile. I have had multiple scans and sets because the ortho assigned to me (Dr. Guirguis) cant seem to get it right! I understand that nothing is perfect, I I new (based on the short plan they started me on) that it wasnt enough time to correct my issues, but I went with it. They hounded me about buying my retainers, after I completed the first cycle of this horrible experience, and I purchased them for $99. Just as I figured, the 1st plan cycle was not effective, and I had to start another plan (that I had to fight for because they didnt want to do a new plan! I demanded a refund for the retainer set I purchased and they never refunded my money!! Now Im stuck with retainers I cant even use!! After much fight and delay, I finally got an approval for the second round of aligners, which took a long time to get (and left me stuck in my last set of aligners until the new ones arrived). Low and behold, this plan didnt work either!! The spacing in my teeth was still there, and my bite was worst than it was!! When this plan didnt work, I asked for a new ortho, which I never got, and had to fight (again) to start yet another plan (#3) because there was still spacing in my teeth (top & bottom), and again, my bite was worse than it was when I started. I just completed the 3rd aligner plan (last week Friday), and its the same problem!!! There is still spacing in my teeth, and to top it off, the aligners never covered all of my teeth... none of them!!!! I am still wearing the last aligner set because this company refuses to right their wrong. I demand a refund for these aligners and for the retainer I purchased after the 1st set didnt work!!! These aligners werent free, and I shouldnt have to beg and pay. I will be reporting this company to the BBB if I dont hear from anyone to rectify this matter!!!

Updated review! After seeing how my smile would look after the plan I was so disappointed the part I didn’t appreciate was that was I was lied to. I went in person. At the appointment after my scans with the representative and she said that “we will be able to close all your gaps in your mouth you’re going to love your new smile”. The correction of my smile would’ve consisted of only bringing together my first 4 teeth and leaving 2 huge gaps on the sides where probably 2 more teeth can fit in between each space lol. I would’ve even appreciated “We will do our best to close your gaps”. I did cancel before I started treatment which was a relief. I just would’ve appreciated honesty in the first place instead of deceit and getting my hopes up.

Expect a bit of a wait in terms of receiving your braces as they take time to be made, but with what I have learned so far, I am confident that this will turn out to be what I am expecting it to be. The payment plan is much less than what I would have paid at my dentist office, and the complimentary whitening light/gel is a very nice plus. That said, so far so good. Six months from now, I hope to have results that exceed my expectations as much as Ayana did in terms of service.

I was so excited to start with smile direct club but after the initial 6 month treatment plan I have been scanned to continue treatment multiple times now. I’m probably up to 6 to 7 times of continuous treatments with the same issues not being addressed time after time after time again. My real dentist is so concerned about the open bite of my teeth he is recommending that I see a proper orthodontist. Crystal and Brooke at the Farmington location have been great to work with and have taken my concerns very seriously but after they submit my concerns to whoever they go to I feel like it gets ignored because absolutely nothing changes. I asked to switch doctors 3 or 4 times and again, nothing. Everything falls on deaf ears with this company. The price attracted me at first, but now it’s like “what’s the point”.

Please if you are thinking of using this company go anywhere else byte is better Invisalign is better do not use smile direct they only care about making a sale they sold me aligners knowing they couldn’t fix what was wrong with my teeth now I’m stuck paying for aligners that didn’t work
