I have had the pleasure of working with Monica for several years. Her quick turnaround on proposals, level of priority, and attention to details have far exceeded my expectations.

We had a pipe burst in the wall in our kitchen, and caused water damage to flooring and cabinets. TDR came out and arranged the demo, drying, and remodeling activities. They worked with our insurance, to provide an estimate. Everything was done in a timely manner, considering there were lots of people filing claims because of the February weather.Were they perfect? No, but nobody is. Overall, they did a good job, and I would hire them again.

I want to thank manager Monica Coss for always going above and beyond to help me in this trying time. She always responded to me immediately and always answered my question. Thank you Monica.

We pad a pipe bust under our foundation and we caught it early and turned off the water. There was approximately 250 sq ft that had water and needed dried out. One little place about the size of 9 X 50 of sheet rock had to be cut out in the master closed. The rest was pulling up a small area of flooring and some small areas of carpet. When our plumber came out he told us he called his friend who has works for a Restoration company to meet him here to help us. Brock came out and gave me an estimate for the job which included everything minus the flooring. I was putting in new flooring and did not need him to repair that. I told him I did not want to use different people to get this done and he said not to worry they do it all from beginning to end. I received an invoice from this company and it was more than I was originally told and that did not include any of the things they tore up. When I asked what the next step was he said he would have a person from that department send me an invoice. I received that invoice and was shocked at what they were charging for the small 250 sq ft of what I needed done! I sent an email back saying their invoice was extremely high and the answer via email I got back said since it was a small job they had to make it worth their trip. If I would have gone with them the job would have been more than doubleof the original estimate I received.

YOU WILL REGRET HIRING THIS COMPANY! My clients were charged approx. 4x the industry avg. & a lien was placed on their home while still in the process of negotiating the outrageous water remediation invoice! The investigative & legal depts of my clients insurance co. are now involved & have confirmed that several restoration companies such as this one charge excessive fees for unwarranted work. TDR was unwilling to negotiate a reasonable fee for the remediation after concerns and discrepancies in their invoice. My clients total insurance payout came to approx. $24k with just under $10k for water remediation. TDRs bill for water remediation was approx. $28k which was an avg. of $4600 per day! On the whole, the restoration industry charges approx. $1k-$1500 per day for water remediation work. The most egregious line items were exorbitant rental fees for fans & humidifier equipment to the tune of $1500-2500 per day which padded the bill by approx. $18-20k. Additionally, they never quoted any costs or estimates upfront. Someone under duress probably isnt even going to ask when standing in 2-3 inches of water. I liken their tactics to ambulance chasers offering svcs. to people under duress! As a real estate professional I will never refer this company to any past, present or future clients and strongly advise anyone to avoid this company!

I had a Flexible water hose fall apart in my attic, connecting to my Hot Water Heater. It flooded one of my bedrooms with 50 gallons of hot Water. it was Easter night around 7pm. I called another company that does a lot of Advertising on radio / tv. They could not answer my question, Are yall going to clean up all the Contents or just vaccum up the water. I had a bad experience with another company before so I wanted to know . She said she would call back. They never called back,. Texas Disaster Restoration came to the rescue. William Figueroa was in charge. He kept assuring me his crew would take care of everything. It did take the crew a couple of hours to show up, But it was Easter night so I gave them a break. After crew got there, they did a great job of cleaning up the water, Removed all contents to my Garage. Then they removed the rest of the ceiling sheetrock, so it was ready to go for a repair. Of course they put in the commercial fans and de-humidifiers. they monitored them and removed them on day 4 I believe. Thanks for a great job!!! Thanks to William especially! brad c

We called Disaster Restoration last year when we had a water connection break and flooded our house. DR responded quickly and cleaned up the water, however they tried to save the carpet when it was obviously was going to need to be ripped up, which is a way for them to charge insurance for more money (red flag). After that, we signed a contract for the repairs and the process slowed to a halt leaving our house empty for months, partly due to insurance and partly due to DRs insistance on charging enormous amounts for the water cleanup. In retrospect, I really wish we would have gone in a different direction and I would have acted as my own PM after the water cleanup, which would have made this project much faster. DR was slow to complete the repairs, and we felt cheated out of our insurance money - it just didnt seem to go nearly as far as we thought it would. Sure, the project was completed eventually, but it took approximately 8 months when 4 would have been appropriate. Some of the materials used were not up to the level that we had prior to the flood such as drawer slides, carpet padding, did not put insulation back in a exterior wall... Electrical boxes are rigged with wall anchors to close, and I am afraid that if the plates ever need to come off, they probably wont go back on as the screw threads on the electrical boxes were stripped due to careless demolition. Someone on the team lost all of the hardware to our closet, thus we still dont have a closet door - just a small refund for our troubles. I have no complaints about Hector and his team who did the actual work, but my issue is with DR them selves. We have a special needs child who requires in-home therapy - we had to move in while renovations were still ongoing because the process took so long and my child was missing out on his therapy - for 8 MONTHS! In the beginning of the process, we were promised that someone would be out to the house to assist us in picking out materials that were similar to what we had, but that never happened. We ended up doing much of that ourselves by going to their vendors and rummaging through options on our own. The worst thing was they tried to talk us out of the style of tile that we wanted to replace in the house (natural stone) They tried to convince me to go with a nice ceramic tile. When I insisted that we wanted the same style and quality as we had, they talked with their vendor. Then came back to me and said we made some concessions to make it happen like they were doing me a favor... Sorry DR, do not shame your client for wanting the same quality as we had before just so you can make an extra buck. Poor value for my insurance deductible, I will not be re-using Disaster Recovery if the need ever arises again, and I would suggest you go elsewhere for your disaster cleanup/repair needs. For as much as our insurance paid out and as long as it took, I feel ripped off and upset at a company like this taking advantage of its customers.October 2020 update: the paint is shedding, the caulking is separating from the baseboards, the patches are looking bumpy and unprofessional. The work done to my house is not holding up and I am more disappointed than ever. Do not use this company. You will regret it, just like I do.

They will not work with the insurance company or the client. People beware of who you allow to work in your homes. Read the fine print of any contract!

I called to inquire for my elderly neighbors about a mold issue (looks like black mold and they have extensive medical issues where they are more susceptible to complications bc of mold). We were worried that the apartment complex was not going to perform due diligence to properly resolve issuse. A representative reached out and was able to email information as to rules, regulations, who we could reach out to and answered basic questions. The knowledge was extremely helpful for my neighbor to approach the apartments asking further questions and trying to work out an agreement she is comfortable with. It is in the beginning stages but she is equipped with not being pushed over and she has a good understanding of how things should be handled. Thank you!

Do not call this company! Stick to a reputable long term company. Call your insurance company first to get the name of a trusted contractor. These folks will charge you 3 times the standard cost to rip off the insurance company and then your pockets. Their prices are not fair pricing! HOMEOWNER BEWARE!

Daniel was our project manager and he was terrific at walking us through this disasterrous flood event. It was our first flood claim ever and Texas disaster made the remediation and demolition process very seemless. They were good communicators and did a good job. Hope we don’t ever have another flood but if we do we will definitely use this company and request this project manager

I called TDR after a sewage backup that flooded half the production shop I managed. They came out right away and went over everything that needed to be done. They understood that I needed everything done fast so I could get the production crew back to work, and they did just that. Everything was cleaned up, sanitized and smelled good again.
