On my drive back home from Florida to New Jersey I hit something in the EZ Pass Express lanes of 495 and had only minutes to find a place to pull over that would be safe. As luck would have it, the Lee Highway exit took me right to Dans Sunoco and I was able to pull in just before total deflation. ChrisPritchard, the Service Manager calmed both my wife and myself with reassurances that all would be ok, and that he would be able to get us back on the road ASAP. He invited us into the air conditioned station and provided us with comfortable seats as we waited. The station was clean and his employees were extremely friendly and helpful. From a tense situation on the highway whee I envisioned tractor trailers blowing by us as we awaited roadside service, to the calming assurances by Chris, our experience with Chris and crew was truly a great one. We were in and out of the station in 30 minutes and very grateful to be able to get back on the road so quickly, and would recommend using Dans Sunoco for any of my auto maintenance needs.

I went to get my car inspected and they quoted my $376 dollars for rear break service. I went to another shop and he just said break pads need to be replaced which was 120 including labor. I got that fixed from him, went for reinspection and they it passed. So I was able to get stuff done for one third and saved $260 dollars.They are quick at their work but can try to extract money if they see an opportunity. I would not go back.

Chris, will quote you 4X or even more then the actual price he quoted my AC fix $2,642 I went to jj auto repair in eisenhower that quoted me $500. BEWEAR SUNOCO WILL SCAM YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CLIENTS THEY CARE ABOUT PROFIT.

The chief mechanic remembers my name and the history of my car. It is amazing. He tells me what work I need done and what work isnt needed or can wait, and when they replaced my catalytic converter they found a used one and saved me money. I cant recommend these guys enough, great service and they are not going to take advantage of you.

I have been visiting this gas station since the last 6 years, mostly for filling gas but sometimes for car repairs also.The service technicians are good and I have never had any issue. The person at the counter is also very nice.

Dan’s Sunoco is Family owned and operated. They run the business with integrity, professionalism and class that is very rare these days! My family, friends and I have been loyal customers for 4+ years and will not take our cars to anyone else!

Very quick, very professional. They even told me I didnt need a service I requested. They could have charged me and I never would have known. But they didnt! I love an honest repair shop.

On our recent 3 month road trip, our SUV needed an oil change ASAP but our schedule didnt give us even a day to leave it with someone. Dans Merrifield Sunoco didnt hesitate to help us out. When we arrived later in the afternoon, he immediately serviced our car, quickly and very reasonably priced. We were on our way safely very quickly.

Update 7/19 After failure to find an issue and fix my a/c twice, I was told that I need an entire a/c replacement that would cost about 700-800 on top of 1300 I’ve already spent. I get a second opinion on my a/c issue from another auto shop and they find two valve leaks that Dan’s Sunoco missed. I’m charged $230 and haven’t had an issue with my a/c since. Very glad I got a second opinion and I think I’ll stick to emissions, tune ups and oil changes here....7/1 Ive come here for a few years now with various need from routine maintenance and state emissions. There hasnt been a problem they couldnt solve. They are quick and communicative, Chris is extremely knowledgable and explains complex mechanical issues with ease. Highly recommend.

Great service, went for an annual inspection and the mechanic was really good and quick, but thorough.

I always get my inspection done here, its usually fast. Ive had them do other mechanical repairs as well, and they did a great job at a good price. Just recently I had a nail in my tire, another place said they couldnt fix it, 2 others said they couldnt do it that day. Took it to Dans and it was done in 10 minutes and it was cheap.

Great service. Came in for an inspection and they completed it quickly without trying to upsell anything.Came in here again to get a noise checked and they diagnosed it, found the problem, and also mentioned the repair can wait because there is no immediate safety hazard. They did not even charge anything for the diagnosis, which speaks volume on their business principle.My wife and I will be going here for everything we need in the future. These guys immediately earned my trust and I will not hesitate recommending this place to anyone.

We are so lucky to have these guys close by. We go to these guys for anything from an oil change to new brake pads/rotors. Very reasonably priced, especially for the DC area, and they dont try to yank your chain for other stuff. Ive always had family members or dealerships work on my car, but I definitely trust Chris and his guys here.

How can Dans Merrifeld Sunoco improve? Stop taking advantage of women. Went for an inspection today. My car is well prepared for the except of a crack in the center of the windshield. This crack did not obstruct the driver view and in accordance to the State Police manual, could pass. These inspections are very subjective. The gentleman I came with got passed. I called someone very familiar with these inspections and sent them a picture. I was told that it really could have passed. I will never go to this establishment again. Ill drive to my old mechanic in Mananas. I will share this post on my page and my business page.#VSP #VAInspection

They charged my uncle $744 and told him the car is fixed but the car stalls out and it’s worse than we purchased it. Horrible! Stay away

Fast and easy state inspection services!

My son asked me to take his car to be inspected and I wanted to go somewhere close to where he lives rather go all the way back near my place in Alexandria. After reading reviews of several shops I chose to to Dans Merriifield Sunoco and I couldnt have been any happier. When I called it was getting close to the time they stop doing inspections but said if I could get there by 6pm they would inspect the car. My son also needed new wiper blades so when I arrived I asked if they would have time to do that do and the answer was, Sure! The service was prompt, professional and courteous. They even drove my sons car right to the door for me and thank me for coming in. I certainly will be stopping by Dans to fuel up anytime Im over in that area visiting my son. There are so many average or mediocre businesses that it is a pleasure to be able to support one that is excellent.
