To sum it up in 1 word, awesome! I was recommended to this shop by my neighbor after a terrible experience with others and I will NEVER go anywhere else now! Before the shop worked on my car they called me after finding the problems I was having with my car. After we dropped off the car, my husband wanted certain things done the same day and they were able to do it on top of the repairs too! I feel like everyone should have a great mechanic to take their car to so please try this place! I love that its local and close to my place so I know who’s working on my car. I called back with questions and they answered all of them! Try this shop and you will love it!
Do not go for state inspections. Claimed headlights needed adjusting and charged an additional $40 to adjust headlights.
This shop is an absolute gem in the community. They are super friendly, honest, and fair. Excellent service! I called Monday morning for a quote on a CV axle replacement and spoke to Mike. He gave me a very fair deal and told me he could complete the repairs that same day. I dropped off the car at 2pm and pick it up at 5pm around closing time. When I dropped off the car Mike told me no other repairs would be done without my permission as that is their standard procedure. They kept their word and nothing was done without my permission. The mechanic that would be servicing my car was kind enough to drop me off and pick me up before and after the service was done. At pick up, I was shown pictures of the areas of concern for my car and was given future recommendation along with a time frame of when I can hold off on them. All in all, I am super pleasant with my experience and will definitely refer someone over!
Really happy with this repair shop. They were fast and honest and did a great job fixing my car. highly recommended.
They have good mechanics and reasonable prices.
DO NOT GET YOUR CAR INSPECTED HERE! They take advantage of women/people who look like they don’t know anything about cars by failing the car for things that are actually fine so that you will pay them to fix it. My car was failed for brake pads and rotors. Took my car to a different mechanic and was told my pads had 7,000 to 10,000 more miles left before they should fail inspection, and that my rotors are in good condition. When taken off, the pads were all measured to be equal to or thicker than the minimum to pass. Secondary inspection confirmed the rotors are also safe.I found out after sharing this story that they also failed my mother’s car wrongly a few years ago for the headlights.A complaint has been filed, I hope this clearly recurrent problem is fixed. I will never take my car there again.
The gentlemen at the counter were amazing throughout my repair process. Called for an estimate received a rough number of what the cost for fixing my brakes would be. the price was lower than most shops so i decided to stop by. i got the exact figure once they did a test drive and removed the wheels for a closer look. 2 hours later i came back and picked up the car for a price way less than anyone else. thank you! - Dom
I finally found an honest and fair shop dedicated to resolving your automotive issues. Other shops in the area always want to up charge people up the wazoo, which seems normal in this industry. The boys here took the time to identify and resolve my problem created by a mobile auto mechanic. That’s what I get for trying to cut corners! After a quick inspection and minor adjustment there was no charge for the fix. Still can’t believe it! The folks here are patient and informative about all work estimates and provide estimates with choices based on my budget and actual requirements of the repairs. After dealing with the headaches of mobile mechanics, I finally found a good facility.
Great place for quick service with long operating hours. I live a few blocks from annandale auto repair. I come here for the gas all the time. i decided to try the service center so I dropped my car off for inspection, emission and an oil change. They called me back an hour later saying my car is ready for pickup. I came back, picked up my car, and was on my way. Very good!
I took my vehicle in for a Virginia inspection. The vehicle was rejected for a tie-rod. I left the vehicle for repair and re-inspection.Upon picking up the vehicle I noticed the vehicle passed inspection but the wrong tie-rod was changed.Aren’t they supposed to check the marked items for re-inspection prior to passing the vehicle?Due to the tie-rod being part of the front suspension I felt it was important to be corrected so I advised the owner who replaced the correct one but charged me again for another even though I disputed the charge. The same inspector who rejected it also passed it. The owner would not admit fault for his employee’s error. The inspector admitted his error in front of me and the owner but the owner of Annandale Auto Repair charged me for both repairs. No room for discussion with the owner who walked away and would not discuss the issue.I will not, nor will anyone in my family go there again, not even for gas.
I know this review is extremely late but this place was amazing. I was passing through Virginia to go home to Pennsylvania to surprise my family for Christmas and broke down. The shop I originally went to to was trying to charge me double of what my mechanic back home told me it would cost. So I called Annandale for a quote and they charged me what I would expect back home. They went out of their way to get my parts and stayed after hours to get my vehicle up and running so I could be home for Christmas with my family. I have been on the road for almost 2 years with work and it meant everything to be to be able to be with my family. These guys went above and beyond and didnt over price me for being out of state. I would recommend them to anyone.
Great gas prices
This is a fantastic gas station. The price for premium fuel here is much lower than many other stations in the area. The fuel seems to be of good quality too - which Ive verified with some spirited driving.
Had a very disappointing experience with this shop just now, despite positive reviews here and elsewhere. I have an old Volvo 2001 that Im trying to nurse along, and it has a broken window regulator. I was hopeful they could repair it, even though my brother-in-law attempted a temporary fix. They simply refused to even attempt the repair after initial inspection, despite my offer to pay for new parts and new labor, whether the repair worked or not. They wont be getting any more of my fill-ups, inspections or repair business in the future. The reply below questions my honesty, but these are just facts of my experience today. Fortunately for me, Mr. Tire on Lee Highway in Arlington was able to complete the work.
I only fill up gas there.
I had these folks work on my vehicle on the saturday of memorial weekend. My family and I drove down from maine so we can visit DC. Apparently, along the way my coolant started gushing on my 2015 honda crv and i started to overheat. I called the honda dealership across the street but of course they couldnt fit me at 3pm on a saturday. We were stranded in VA and over an hour from our hotel. i ran across the street to Annandale Auto Repair and spoke to the guy at the counter. Although they were clearly busy they understood the significance of my situation and were very empathetic. Abed told me to bring the car over and hell take care of it today. Realistically i had my doubts, but boy was i wrong! The mechanics had the coolant system pressurized and they even showed me where the puncture in the radiator was! We waited about 2 hours for the repairs to be completed. After a post repair pressure test and test drive i was back on the road!I could not believe how prompt the team was in assisting me even though the garage was packed inside and outside. I thank these guys from the bottom of my heart for making that miserable situation a bit more bearable on our family. Thank you!
Great coustomer service. Guy behind the counter was very straight forward with me. Will come back!!!
Best place to get premium gas other than costco in Fairfax. Same price whether paying cash or credit.
Good gas prices but after speaking to the employees at this location, I feel very uncomfortable about getting auto work done here. Some of the other reviews Ive read seem to confirm my suspicion.
I was reccomended by GWC warranty to this shop to do repairs on my truck, they kept it for a couple of days and tried flushing the oil and told me we hoped to get lucky to save the engine, and we dont do engine repairs here I had disclosed to them prior to having my vic towed to them that It may need engine repairs. 125$ later and no call to GWC warranty for coverage I had to pick up my truck and tow it to Franconia shell who garunteed me that they work with GWC regularly and garuntee repairs. I would not recomend this shop to others, they also d0nt give military discount for vets out there. They had asked me to let them know whats wrong with the truck when I get done at Franconia Shell... but if your honestly in the automotive repair business... why would you ask that? Your a repair shop right? Shouldnt it be your main competency? Repairs? Waste of time and money.
Fixed initial problem, but wasnt reassembled correctly. Took two more visits to repair problems they created.
Really poor customer service, came to have tires installed, tech lifted my car and went with someone for and hour, manager kept telling me he is working on the car, will never go back, really really bad customer service.
Good inspection good emission
Great team and service
