Love the space, carpets, and walls all were fresh before I moved in. The neighbors that Ive gotten to know are all very kind and considerate. The location is tucked away in a quiet part of town but, close to tons of shopping and things to do. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings

We really enjoy our community. There is ample parking, a very nicely maintained pool, a nice workout area, a nice sized dog park, and its plenty quiet. Our apartment is nice with nice upgrades. We do wish our kitchen was a tiny bit bigger but the overall size of the apartment makes up for it. We rent a two-bedroom one-bath and it has he washer dryer in unit which we cannot live without! The maintenance staff are quick to respond and always courteous and the front desk staff are very kind.

Even in a non-renovated townhouse, I am in LOVE with the space we have and the community we are apart of. The leasing office always greets me by name when I call in to ask questions, and everyone (neighbors included) has been friendly and respectful. So glad we found this place!

I just called them as a future resident, asking for some information. The conversation was another proof why one should take online reviews seriously. Exactly what others also said: After waiting for 20 minutes, I spoke with a woman, and even though I mentioned to her that her rude attitude was the theme of most of Google Reviews about their company, I heard nothing but rudeness back. All I asked was when would they call me back, today, tomorrow, in 72 hours, or in a week, when? They will call you when they can was the answer, and she repeated this probably ten times, driving me mad in the end. They will call me when they can to answer a simple question, and I should sit and wait without a time frame...It is amazing that the managing company loses potential clients in their very first phone calls. Now imagine you are a tenant, and calling them for a maintenance request. Good luck with that.

Maintenance folks are awesome, Repairs done timely and done well. Recommend a quicker prompt response to fix our bldg. front door. There have been two occasions of when the door would not self lock and was not fixed for several weeks for each repair of the door. Residents depend on a secure front door for security and well being. I dont know how the door fail. I dont know the cause, however our residents and contractors should be advised to use the security code to enter. Thank You. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings

The apartment meets my needs in general. The worst experience I had was that the lease office revoked the renewal deal it offered for unacceptable excuses -- the staff could not find the paper work that I summitted in person. It ended up with I had to pay at a higher monthly rate.

If you are thinking of renting from Tysons Glen, do yourself a favour and DON’T.We rented from October 2019 to February 2021 and had a number of issues. The main reason we even rented here was it was slightly cheaper than other places and was close to all of our jobs in the city. COVID rendered this one benefit useless.First and foremost there are SO many children. Constantly running around unsupervised and extremely loud all the time. The management sent out multiple emails regarding this but nothing was done. Granted this apartment complex is right next to a school it is expected, but keep that in mind if you do decide to lease here. People walking their large dogs off leash constantly, again management sent emails but nothing was done.In our apartment the doors to the pantry broke off, our washing machine leaked multiple times, and we had a leak in the ceiling. On one of the occasions the washing machine leaked and actually went to the neighbours apartment below. We called multiple times regarding the leak from the ceiling and they did not come out or would send someone out to look at it and they’d tell us its fixed or someone else is coming, but it would still leak and no one would come. They had cut a huge hole into the ceiling and left it that way when i would call to ask if they’re coming back they would say they are sending someone but no one would come. This went on for over a month before they finally came to fix the leak. So for over a month we had a bowl in the middle of the room and a gap in the ceiling with water leaking. On one instance I actually slipped and fell due to the leak almost breaking my ankle. We were in a 3 bedroom townhome style apartment and they said the reason for the leak was condensation built up in the AC unit because our bedroom doors were shut upstairs. The solution they said was to keep our bedroom doors always open. This sounded like BS, but even if it was true how do you expect 3 roommates in an apartment to constantly have their doors open especially considering this was during a WFH period.Lastly, the office staff asked us for passports for 2 of my roommates via email to create a renewal offer. They had one roommates Drivers license on file already and the others passport was emailed to them upon moving in. Due to not being able to contact my roommate regarding this they never sent us a renewal package voiding us of a chance to put in a 60 day notice. Our original lease end date of January 4th was then extended to February 12th. Despite the fact they were the ones that didn’t properly file my roommates passport or use the Driver’s license on hand we were forced to extend our lease and expected to pay a premium ($1,000 more) for the extra month. I had to go to corporate and they were willing to decrease the rent charge to a normal rate, but I’m still baffled they turned this situation on us and made us pay an EXTRA month especially when all of us had already signed new leases elsewhere. If I could go back in time I would save myself the hassle that came from living here for a year. Learn from my mistakes and do not lease here.

Ive been living here since August 2019 and so far have been very happy with it. The apartment was clean, freshly painted, with new carpet upon move-in. Maintenance is quick to respond if there are issues. Residents are mostly friendly. There are a lot of dogs and the dog park is well maintained. Parking is free and its always easy to find a spot near my building. I have a garden-level apartment and have not seen any roaches or mice, but I did see a few creepy crawlers, and immediately killed them. My only complaint is that the gym is very small and the machines are not always in working order. Other than that, this is a nice place to live, convenient to many shops and things to do.

Worst management ever in the entire US. I suspect Fraudulent business as they changed the strategy for renewal offers. They started asking legal residency copies for lease renewal offers so that they can offer only monthly renewals and get 175% of market value. While they have 30 vacant apartments.

Tyson’s Glen is a fantastic apartment complex. It strikes a good balance of being quiet and laid back while also being close to the Metro and by extension D.C. The apartments are quiet nice and homey. The maintenance staff are quick to resolve any issues, and they are also super polite. We’ve never had any of the usual apartment problems here - no leaks, no bugs, no weird odors. The leasing staff are all super friendly without being overbearing, and the metro shuttle drivers are great people as well. I feel like this apartment complex is a hidden gem - it has way exceeded my expectations.

I have been living here for a year. Great place to live and love the management. Maintenance staff is extremely fast and helpful. Apartments are nice and so far I havent had any issues. I rented this apartment after looking at online reviews, no regrets so far. This is a pretty good diverse community, I see lots of Indian families moved here in the last 6-9 months. Few perks like Computer room with free printing option, free water wash for cars, Air filling machine etc. make our living easy.

I lived here for 15 months and it’s one of the best places I have lived. My friend lived in the complex about a year before I moved in and I would come visit her. The management is courteous, super patient, and show so much professionalism. The community is safe and clean. Maintenance responds the same day usually within hours. The pool staff could be a tad more alert and clean the pool more but other than that it’s been pretty awesome. The community events are fun. My friend is renewing her lease and I would be too if I wasn’t losing my roommate and moving closer to my job in MD. I will miss this place. Thank you to management and Angelique especially for making my experience wonderful.

Was such a cluster from start to finish.Dont even bother to apply. They approved me for an apartment, sent me the welcome letter, said would follow up with the online lease. Five days later I find out Ive been retroactively denied but they dont know why, a third party they use told them to but not the reason. Huh? What are their staff doing?THANK YOU, NEXTI went to another apartment (Avalon in Tysons Corner) and found a beautiful place thats larger, with double sinks, across the street from Tysons Galleria, for $50 extra a month and signed the lease same day. Im ultimately glad I didnt move here because I wouldnt have found my new apartment, but annoyed at the staffs unprofessional behavior and total waste of my time and money.

Do not recommend this place. We didnt have heating for 7 months. They discussed and tried to convince me that the problem is normal and refused to change the windows. After 8 months they did but the cold weather was already passed. They also gave me the place unfinished. The AC ducts was filthy and they didnt do anything after that. I didnt have water in one of my bathrooms. They illegally put my daughters name (which she is 18 months) on the water bill. Management is very rude. They always argue with each problem with me and I was fed up with them. They will not return back your deposit at all so dont dream about getting it back. The pool is badly maintained. There was a dead bird for a long time in the filter and nobody would clean it out. They throw green poison cubes everywhere at the reach of the kids. They have a car vaccuming at the premises and that didnt work and took my money. When I told the administration they just didnt care. They yelled at my friends and told them it would be better for you to not rent the place in the future I could go on and on with how bad this place is. Depending on the reply from the management I will also attach pictures that backs all my claims.

Very inefficient service. Paid our application fees and were told we were approved. Management then waited five days to contact us and tell us our application was retroactively denied due to a mistake on their part, but couldnt give us a reason. This wouldnt have been as big of a problem had they told us their approval wasnt final. Move along. There are nicer places with less hassle.

I lived in two separate apartments in Tysons Glen, one on the third floor of one of the main structures and one with a private entry below the townhouses.During my first living experience in the third floor apartment, there were continuous issues with noise due to the walls being incredibly thin. You can hear the neighbors using the bathroom next to you and pretty much anything they are doing or saying. As far as safety, on one occasion, a member of the leasing office entered my apartment early in the morning to give a tour WHILE I WAS STILL IN THE APARTMENT. Later, after I confronted the staff about the incident, they claimed that the office member was new and misread the apartments that were available for tours. Other than that, its fortunately a quite safe community as far as thefts go. Unfortunately, people are constantly speeding through the complex even with the plethora of speed bumps. Another caution is that given the community is right next to a high school, it is very hectic and sometimes dangerous because of people darting out from the school.During my second experience in the private entry, it was more of a nightmare than the first. In the private entry homes you have two townhouses above you, one above the living room/kitchen area and one above the bedroom area. Good luck getting sleep. If you are incredibly lucky and get neighbors that go to sleep on time, never do laundry, walk with feathers for feet, youll probably be okay. Even general conversations carry through the HVAC ducts from above and the washing machine noises will echo through the entire apartment. Be wary of the personal entry apartments anyway as there have been incidents of sewage backwash through the tub in certain apartments. As for the “amenities,” there is a severe lack of them. The pool is about the really only good part of it because the gym looks like something out of Dwights gym in The Office with a couple treadmills that have been broken many times, a few free weights, an old total gym type machine, and a couple ellipticals. There are several grills available throughout the complex; however, they are often without gas as people tend to leave them on or they have bad leaks in the lines from the propane tanks. The grounds are usually well-kept, but are also often littered with dog poop. The management is incredibly bad at responding to inquiries of any sort, almost always involving a follow-up from the tenant to receive a response. The only saving grace about this complex is the maintenance; they do a fantastic job and I actually feel bad for them because they are shrouded by the poor management.

Counting down the days until my girlfriend can leave this complex like it were a prison sentence. Im praying this building catches on fire one of these days so we can terminate this lease. Honestly, you can get a house a couple miles away for the same price and not have to deal with all these shenanigans.Management is the worst. Really. THE WORST. The property manager, Miss Innis is the most rude person we have ever dealt with. So far as to interrupt my girlfriend and telling her to shut up and laughing at her face. (Both different occasions) I dont know if there is somewhere we can go and file a complaint about her but we are going to research this tomorrow. They keep towing our her car because of the fact that it is under her fathers name (which he is on the lease as well) and management refuses to give her a parking sticker because it is not in her name. The car has been already towed twice. Not that parking is easy to find here anyway, usually after 10 its completely booked. We were advised to park the car at the Stratford University lot (which is also a towable lot) when parking overflowed.Maintenance has been our only saving grace. Things will randomly stop working in here but the maintenance crew is always fast to help and they always complete the work quickly and efficiently. That being said, I feel bad for them, and honestly do recommend they should stop working here and start their own thing. At this point, the only thing I can do is exercise my right to free speech. If I see any potential resident on a tour, I will let them know EXACTLY how our experience has been and recommend they go somewhere else.

We recently moved into this apartment a couple of weeks ago and we found that the master bed room window has a small gap which lets the outside air coming into the apartment. We raised a service request couple of days ago and they said they fixed it even though nothing is fixed. So, we raised another request today morning requesting to fix the issue as we cannot stay in the master bedroom due to the drop in temp and wind outside. It’s been 14 hours and there’s no response from the maintenance staff. We’ve called them 8 times so far but still waiting for them to show up.

License tags recently expired on my car (I am paying tenant with a valid parking pass), I didnt notice, and they towed me from the parking lot overnight with no warning or indication after the fact. I had to call the local police to figure out what happened to my car because I honestly thought it was stolen and management wouldnt answer my call. A single phone call letting me know about my tags would have been sufficient, but I guess they care about immediate money more than the longevity of their tenants. Definitely will not renew and will always recommend against this place.EDIT: After seeing the owners response, I want to also clarify that the towing company is a private company hired by Tysons Glen to patrol their premises. This wasnt a third party towing business going around looking for cars with expired tags in random parking lots, Tysons Glen has a relationship with them... Also this was 100% not communicated in the move-in process. I only found out of their affiliation after speaking with the towing company.

I am so pleased with my experience living here that I felt the need to leave a review. Rent is not sky high as many would expect for a set of apartments almost walking distance to Tyson’s corner. I love that I can walk almost anywhere when the sun is out. The Whole Foods And Trader Joe’s are eight next door, plus there’s a Walmart and 10 million other things that aren’t too far away by car.The apartments have a gym, a business center, a pool, a metro shuttle, and free parking. I love that I can go into the business center at anytime, plus there’s free printing. Although I do wish they would get a new printer, it’s a little janky lol. Prior to this I lived in Alexandria and was completely dissatisfied with everything for apartments that were literally twice the price. The gym at Devonshire isn’t amazing but it gets the job done if you know how to work with what you have. I haven’t walked over to the other gym yet, but I appreciate the fact that it’s also open to Devonshire residents. The leasing office sends out emails very often with community events (wine tasting trips, bingo night, free gift wrapping, free breakfast— I’ve missed all of them but I’m always so pleased with their efforts to build a community in ways that are actually interesting!! I do think the bingo nights are a little lame but to each is own. :)The leasing staff are always very friendly and helpful and I love that they have such great hours. There’s never been a time where I felt brushed off or not helped, even when I felt like I was probably the most annoying resident on earth. My favorite leasing consultant is Edgar! On top of that, maintenance requests are taken care of so quickly. I usually expect it to be days before my request is taken care of, but most times it’s done by the time I get home from work. The residents are pretty quiet. I honestly never see anyone other than 1 or 2 people walking dogs every now and then. I did have trouble with a mouse once, but it was likely because I live on the ground floor. That was taken care of right away and I haven’t had problems since. The interior of the apartments themselves look great as well.
