I have been coming to Azena nail spa for the past couple of years, and the quality at first was nice, friendly staff, and it made the overpriced services worth it. However, this past visit was horrible. I got a pedicure and was seated to have my toes handled roughly; as the rude service provider paused only to look at me and act like I’m making her job hard. She didn’t offer me the menu for the pedicures, and freestyled the entire experience. She put my feet in cold water and I asked politely for her to turn the temperature up, and she touched the water just to shrug, make no adjustments, and continue rushing through this service. It’s unacceptable. Lousy “massage”. High prices like we’re in Beverly Hills, but the quality just isn’t there to be pricing like they do.anyone and everyone is being hired and it shows, and I left the spa feeling robbed and underwhelmed. I’m never returning and I hope no one wastes their time and money on this nightmare. Save your money.

I just finished with a regular pedicure and gel manicure. The two women were very friendly and did a great job. However, I am giving three stars because it was so overpriced I was shocked! I spent $70. I was expecting $25 for the gel and $20 for the pedicure, which is inline with what I pay at most salons. I hope they pay their staff well because it makes it very difficult to tip when you feel you’re being overcharged so significantly.A word of advice to the salon: if you’re going to charge prices that are substantially higher than other salons in the area, put up pricing so that people are not taking so off guard when they’re checking out.RESPONSE TO RESPONSE FROM OWNER: Thank you for your response. I did express my concern at the amount as soon as I learned it was so high. I hope that you read my suggestion of posting prices so that others are informed in advance of service.

I understand that she may have been curious about my hair but it wasnt appropriate for her to make comments about my hair. When my husband came into the store to wait with me as I got my nails done, he asked if it was okay to sit down and the worker asked a white lady (who was a customer) if it was okay to sit for me sit to next to her and her 5 year old son. Also, maybe black people are not fond of this business but the worker responded to my black skin as being dark. Last but not least, she reminded mr to leave a tip. Im sure they dont ask white people to leave a tip so it was highly disrespectful to ask my wife and I too. These biased, disrespectful comments are why we will not be returning.

I felt as if I were intruding most recently, but I felt unwelcome after you first opened. I went because the salon was almost empty and spacious (Covid)...

Had a gel manicure done here last week and loved the experience! They knew exactly what they were doing and made my manicure look beautiful. There are a ton of gel colors to choose from and the salon was well kept. Thumbs up!

My first experience 6 months ago was stellar . . but it has gone steadily downhill since. They apply polish is if at a race track, resulting in bubbles and bumps. They sniff at a tip less than 25%. Im done. I see most of the great reviews are more than a year old. What happened to Azena?

It was a wonderful experience! The staff here went above and beyond my expectations. My gel manicure was done perfectly and was about what I wanted. Great atmosphere and clean salon.

Unlike some other salons, this salon provides excellent and so wonderful service! I love the nice color selection ty have as well as services! The shape and design is so wonderful! Flawless acrylic nails !

I always have a great experience when I go in there. The only reason why I didnt give them five stars is because they always have the same nail polish, they only have a small variety, and you can tell the nail polish is old.

Unfortunately I didnt have the best experience. The salon is lovely and staff very kind. However my nails are rough around the edges and polish is bumpy.

TERRIBLE JOB, I do not believe they have any professionally licensed nail techs, otherwise they would have known that you CLEAN THE NAIL before you put any type of product on it. I do my own gel nails recreationally and even I know better than the ladies working there.

I made an appointment because of the positive reviews. After 1 week my my permanent gels are separating from the base of my nails. I will not return.

Michelle gives one of the best UV gel manicures I’ve had in CT. They’re fast, friendly, and do a good job.

My time here yesterday was pretty good. Tech treated me well and did a nice job on my nails.

Nice place have a lot of colors. Outrageous price, I came for gel nails and regular pedicure and paid almost $40 just for gel nails,where other places charge half of that, especially mid week when the place is empty.

I came in today for the first time and I showed her a picture from the start and I that I needed them short and she said no I cant have them short. They were all uneven by the time i was done even with me correcting her multiple times. When I came time to pay I was told $18 and then she said It was $37 way too over priced for a terrible job. So I handed her $40 and she gave me $3 back as my change and I went to put it away because I normally tip according to my service but because I was very unhappy I did not want to tip but she demanded I tip and asked for that $3 back. Never coming back.

Did an okay job on my gel fill in. Ive had acrylic nails for 6 years and have never paid more than $40. when i got to the counter to pay they told me it was $63. I was baffled. Not going back here again and definitely not reccommending it to any of my friends and family. Absolutely ridiculous. Total rip off!!!

Great massage at Azena and friendly staff. must go.
