Certified Chimney is fantastic! We have a scary high chimney that needed a cap to keep birds out. I couldn’t be happier with their amazing work! Highly recommend them!

Scheduled appointment for a friday afternoon window of 1-4. After waiting all day No One showed up or called to inform us that no one was coming. Called to see why no-call, no show. Recorded nessage stated office was now closed until Monday. No way to run a business.

Certified Chimney Service came out to give me an estimate and ended up doing the work on the same day.Friendly and Professional crew that gave a great estimate and did great quick work on a new chimney liner on my oil furnace chimney.

They were horrible to work with. Unprofessional, used the bathroom without asking, cancelled and rescheduled last minute not once but 3 times, left dirt and soot around the house, and then would not accept already agreed upon form of payment. We were told to contact the head, Charles, and in trying to do so they have not called us back. However, when calling for service to begin with they called us numerous times over and over. Clearly they are aware they messed up here. DO NOT USE!!!!!!!!!!!!

We booked Certified Chimney Solutions for a chimney sweeping. A couple of guys arrived and were done about 15 minutes later, 20 minutes at the absolute tops.One of the guys who seemed to be the boss as he referred to my guys TRIED TO UPSELL US ON EVERYTHING. We got a second opinion from a much more honest chimney sweep today and NONE OF THE WORK WAS NEEDED.The cap also fell off the chimney during high winds and we were hoping they could replace it.He said we needed a new one: True.He said the cap we had was wrong - but every house on our street has the same: Not true.He said we needed 2 round ones at $350 each: Not true.He said we needed to clean the boiler chimney for $200: Not true.He said we needed new lining for the boiler chimney at $3,000: Not true.They also did an okay at best job of the chimney cleaning as theres lots of soot inside the fireplace.Anything we said was instantly dismissed out of hand. The collapsing boiler chimney would be a carbon monoxide risk until the new liner was put in, but we told him we have 5 alarms, but he shot back that they dont work which is nonsense.If you need any chimney service, Id steer clear of Certified Chimney Solutions as there are much more honest options out there. Ill certainly tell all my neighbors to avoid.Here are some other 1 star BBB reviews:Had Charles come to give me a FREE estimate and $1800.00 later the job was not done and was conned into a different kind of job... the exterior of the fireplace needed to be repaired to stop water from coming into the house. The job ended up being done in the inside of the house instead. One week later (next rain storm), water continued to come thru... he sent a worker back and he went on the roof and hap hazardly put silicone in the space that should have been repaired from the beginning... When I had 2 other reputable chimney companies come to take a look, they assured me that anyone that went ups on the roof to figure out what the problem was should have seen the issue right away, not con me into believing I needed all this expensive interior work done... the new company also had to work hard to remove the junk that Certified used to patch the job. STAY AWAY from this RIP OFF COMPANYThey are scammers did the wrong work and will not return calls or come back, they sold us on something that broke our chimney and had to have another compnay fix their mistakesThey installed a chimney cap in my house and now with the wind the cap is tilted and in danger of falling off. I called, they have a lifetime warranty and now they are saying that i need to have the chimney cleaned ( $49) just to secure the cap. Chimney is not used at all and why should i pay for a cleaning instead of honoring the lifetime for a work that was done.

I called Certified Chimney to schedule a cleaning, as I just bought my new (and first) house. The owner came out to clean it and noticed there was no lining, the top was cracked, and it was a dangerous condition regarding a health hazard. He was so knowledgeable and helpful, as this is all a new language to me. He was able to fix everything In less than an hour at a very generous price. I would absolutely recommend. Certified came out, led by Dylan M. They did an outstanding chimney inspection and discovered some safety concerns with the gas side that we would have never noticed and provided reasonable solutions. Dylan was knowledgeable, pleasant and clear in explaining the situation and the remedy.

I called for a chimney cleaning, as I received a coupon in the ValuPak mailer. It was scheduled for 10/23 and I got a confirmation call the day before. It was a 1pm - 4pm window. I waited and waited, and I got a call at 3:45 that the tech was in Southport, stuck at an emergency, and was in a boiler room with no cell service. He was to come when he was done. By 7pm I shut the lights off. I never got another call. Two days later I called back and spoke to Denise again and she apologized, she didnt know what happened. I said ok, and we rescheduled for 11/23, so Id have the first service time slot.I got a text the night before, saying that they had to change my time to 1-4, because of a route change. I texted back saying that I was supposed to be first, because of what happened before. Their answer was sorry, but Dylan will text when hes on the way.I got a call at around 11:30 or so on the 23rd, and his mother said he was at an emergency in Fairfield, where a homeowner hasnt had heat for 5 days. I said, ok, keep me posted, if he cant come, please call. Nothing. I called at 4, and he was still at the job, and emergencies take precedence, especially during heating season. Ok, makes sense, but this ruse was used before. The mother wanted to have him come this morning, 10-1. Here we go again. I told her I cant, I have to work. I told her to forget about it, Ill find someone who DOES show up. She apologized profusely but I said thanks and hung up. So unprofessional. I couldnt ever run my business that way. Dont use them, dont play their games. Apparently they dont need the business.

I purchased a Groupon for a chimney inspection and sweep. The two men that came to my home were more interested in asking questions about my home security cameras instead of focusing on their work. They were here for under 10 minutes. They said everything looked good and said that the chimney did not need to be cleaned. We trusted their work and began using our fireplace for the first time as we had just recently purchased the home. The whole house filled with smoke. We had a second company come and take a look. There was a large chunk of concrete missing which caused the smoke to pour into the room. The second company said it was not safe to continue using the fireplace. I would not recommend Certified Chimney Service Inc. to anyone.

I wish I could tell you how their chimney cleaning services are but I never had the chance. They scheduled FOUR times with me, and never came during the 3 hour window when they said they would come. Every time they either rescheduled for another day, or told me at the end of the three hours that it would be another few hours. Who has all day to sit around waiting ??? Their excuse each time was that there were emergencies that needed tending to first. Then why schedule people at all? They need a different system if 4/4 times you dont come when expected. Ridiculous waste of my time!!!
