Great place for any occasion

We picked the Oscar Event Center for our wedding in November 2019 and could not recommend it more. We initially had Amber as our event coordinator who was great. She left on maternity leave and we were switched over to Dianna, who was also wonderful. Both Amber and Dianna let us set up our wedding the way we wanted, for a price that was considerably cheaper than any other value we looked at. In some cases, we paid half of what we would have at commensurate venues. The best part about this venue may be the food. There is a wide selection, and everything we had both at the tasting and at our wedding was excellent (which is what we have come to expect from Jungle Jims). Everything from the ceremony to the flaming doughnut bar was executed smoothly. This venue richly deserves our 5 star review.

The Oscar Event Center was absolutely perfect for our wedding! The space is beautiful and has so much unique character. Our guests were raving about the reception space. Amber and Katie were wonderful to work with and made everything go so smoothly. They were very attentive to our wishes for our wedding reception and created the perfect day for us. They took care of all decorating and set up/tear down the day-of so we didnt have to worry about anything. This eliminated last minute stress. The food and drinks were amazing, our guests kept commenting on how good the food was. The wait staff was exceptional and were even taking drink orders for our guests. I cannot imagine having our wedding reception anywhere else!

Dianne at The Oscar Event Center was great to work with. She was always prompt with emails and phone calls. She made the planning process easier. The venue is gorgeous, the food is incredible, and the staff was amazingly helpful. It truly was our dream wedding.

My wife and I used this venue for our wedding May 2019. For the first 6 months or so we were dealing with Amber who honestly did not allow us to customize or really do much. We looked at a LOT of venues before choosing Oscar. We really liked the venue and reviews from other people. All other venues were willing to work or customize certain items and let us even bring in some of our own culture food on top of the venue food provided, but Amber would not allow. Leading up to the last 3 months we were switched to Katie as our event coordinator as Amber was on maternity leave. Katie was WONDERFUL. She was so accommodating and even offered us options or even went out of her way for us. Its a shame we are giving a 3 star rating do to Amber the coordinator. Its a couples special day and when you spend $20k+ at a venue, they should be more accommodating.

Just had our wedding here and we could not ask for a more perfect experience. The food, drink and service is fantastic. Dianna is straight forward and direct with information. She wants your event to be perfect and does so much to ensure that it is.

Been here for multiple wedding receptions and its not only great food (wish I could get the salad dressing recipe!) but also fun! Great little bar with a huge fruit and veggie spread that is SO Jungle Jims; beautiful hall; and guests pretty much all pop over to the unique Jungle Jims at some point, haha!

This place exceeded my expectations for my August 17th wedding. Heather Russell was everything I could have dreamed and more. She put together my day perfectly. The food was amazing! Her communication exceeded my expectations. I would recommend her for everything. She listened to EXACTLY what I wanted, was amazing, communicated, and even threw in multiple surprises! I didnt like to hear from my wedding party how they thought her boss was disrespectful and breathed down her neck ( I thought Katie was helpful, but it made sense once I heard it)... but she was able to take lead, and do an amazing job event planning while juggling other events leading up to my big day. Youd be crazy to pass her up and passing up the Oscar..I plan to upload WAY better photos of this venue.. this is all I have for now since I just got married Saturday and Daniel Michael (also 10/10) wouldnt be able to send me photos until a few weeks!But if youre contemplating the Oscar, you can reach out to me for any questions or concerns you have!!!

A 5 star review just isnt enough. Everything was coordinated and because they had staff on hand, my sisters wedding went so smoothly. She had her perfect wedding and its all thanks to Oscar. Words cannot express how wonderful my sisters wedding was. Thank you Oscar!!!

The Oscar Center has a great and well received cigar tasting every Thursday night. My first time and won’t be my last. Must check it out. They have a great bourbon selection as well reasonably priced.

My husband and I were just married this weekend. This venue...was amazing!! We live in Indianapolis, but because Jungle Jims has been the location for many of our dates, engagement, and many cheesy memories we decided to get hitched in the Oscar Center. We love that its connected to Jungle Jims. However, our guests had no idea until we mentioned that it was affiliated with aour grocery store. This venue is unique and extremely gorgeous with cool details around every corner. Katie, the event coordinator, kept everyone in line, on task, and ensured a great time and made MY day much more enjoyable! She and her staff handled all our quirkiness and improv with stride. I could rave forever on how easy she made this for us! The food...AMAZING! We had spinach artichoke stuffed chicken, braised beef, green beans, and potatoes. Everyone is still talking about the cuisine! Looks like Jungle Jims and the Oscar Event Center have 90 or more new customers! Thanks for everything, Katie and Staff!! Youre the best!

Ive visited here several times over the years and have had nothing but positive experiences. Convenient venue, but also unique with the view it offers of the grocery store below. Several comfortable seating areas, fantastic and clean restrooms stocked with essentials for guests. Several options for bars available. The keyword with Oscar events center is choice. The venue can be rearranged to suit any event. With Jungle Jim behind it, whom I consider the Walt Disney of Cincinnati, its no surprise they pay attention to every detail.

Everyone should attend the Weekend of Fire! Amazing event. Staff is beyond helpful and friendly and you have the chance to taste products from all over the country and different parts of the world

In the couple times I have been there have been for events of Jungle Jim’s. I get so crowded but the staff works hard to keep everything under control and clean. Pretty nice place for weddings.

Ive never been disappointed by the Oscar event center. They always go above and beyond for every event they host. I look forward to attending another event here!

I had my wedding ceremony/reception here this year. It was my husband and Is dream location. We had our food tasting, and fell in love. A year flew by and it was time for our wedding, the lady who ran the rehearsal was rude, pushy and did not allow us to customize ANYTHING. I just smiled and nodded, and changed things in private with my wedding party. **Note youre only allowed in 4 hours before the ceremony, which means you might wanna find a different place to get ready, OH and make sure you have people to set up because even if there isnt anything the evening before, they wont let you set up with the help of your wedding party** Our ceremony flew by, and it was time for the fun!!! Food was fantastic and our guests loved it as well, until our DJ was going to announce to our guests about seconds, of the food MY PARENTS paid for, and Diann* demanded he not announce because they dont allow seconds... WHAT? You dont allow us to eat more of the food WE paid for?!!! Absolutely ridiculous. She stated our food goes to a shelter.. Which all in all is fine, but after my guests and wedding party get to eat what they want. The place is beautiful, the Pub area was a hit, but the service provided by this Event Staff member was not great. SO if youre having you reception here, grab two plates, because you cant go back for more!

My wife and I decided to have our wedding at The Oscar Event Center a little over a year before the big day. While we absolutely loved the impressive aesthetics and the formal-but-fun vibe of the space, these aspects aren’t what set OEC apart from the rest of the venues we looked at.From our first meeting with Dianna, the event planner, we were treated with courtesy, extra-sharp professionalism and an acute knowledge of the space. She was our sole contact until the wedding, and she took the time to work with us individually through a number of meetings to customize and perfect the vision we had for our big day. When we were stumped with how to handle issues, we ended up using her suggestions for a number of choices and couldn’t be happier about it. Most incredibly, her responses to our emails, which were basically just large lists of questions, always came back much faster than we ever expected. We never felt overwhelmed, lost or alone in the planning process – frankly, we are still thrilled to have had such a phenomenal worker and consummate professional help us plan our wedding.The day of the wedding, our decorations and requests were perfectly executed and the space looked better than we even imagined. Dianna introduced us to the banquet team and manager, who would take care of our food and drinks throughout the night. The OEC banquet and bar crew performed incredibly for the entire evening, without exception. As far as the food itself, our appetizers and our main course were all perfect. (I highly suggest attending one of the tasting evenings that OEC hosts throughout the year – you will not regret it). The entire wedding party, especially my wife and I, received nothing short of white-glove service from the staff throughout the evening, and wanted for absolutely nothing. We weren’t the only ones impressed either – we have received many compliments from our guests about the attentiveness and courtesy of the staff, as well as the five-star quality of the food and drink. And even when we had a few boisterous guests at the bar near the end of the evening, the staff handled them with impressive professionalism and grace.My wife and I couldn’t be happier with choosing OEC to host the biggest event of our lives. We will never forget the experience, and I cannot recommend the venue, or the staff that makes it so incredible, enough.
