The did a really good job. Would call and discuss problems and solutions. The truck sounds really good. My only complaint is their stock of parts.
Not a good experience. Made an appointment for 0800, three days prior, to have an exhaust tip welded on. I was told over the phone, oh thats easy, come on in. So, with great anticipation I reset my weekly work schdule and drove 30 miles into Faibanks. Once there, in person, I did not receive a warm welcome. The shorter guy, mustache/goatee with flat bill Chicago Bulls hat, was rude. Made smart comments. I did not see/recieve the professionalism in person that I heard on the phone. Then after 5-7 minutes of waiting for them to find a form for me to fill out. For an exhaust tip install. They come back from within the shop and tell me, we are too busy today. Sorry. Wanna reschedule or drop your car off?. I said no thanks and left. This place lost a good paying customer. I prefer to keep my money local, but when customer service is bad its a no-go for me.
Took my Nissan Altima here for a damaged flex pipe and possible damage to my catalytic converter. I was very nervous to leave my car in South Cushman... But, the man I spoke to was very reassuring and helpful. He let me know that my car was parked in their lot in direct view of a surveillance cam, and I felt so much better knowing that. Before repairing anything, they called to give me a quote on the work that would need done based on their assessment. I really appreciated that, as this was my first time getting major work done on my car and I was worried about what it would cost. They did not give me any nonsense either. They successfully repaired my flex pipe and my car no longer makes a terrible metallic sound when cold started. Very honest, straight-to-the-point people! Great customer service, and very affordable pricing! Hopefully I dont hit another devastating pothole, but if I do, Ill bring my car back here. :)
Good shop. Better appointment response times than some of their competitors.Jeff is a great mechanic. He will take good care of you.
I’m currently overseas right now and my wife said the engine light in my truck came on. I had her take it here due to the seemingly good reviews. She dropped it off at 9 am and was told they would call with an update on what was wrong.Around 1:30pm, having not heard back, I call them. They say “we’re just bringing it in now, we’ll call back in about a half our.”2 hours later, nothing so I call them again. I get told that the tech ran the engine code, and it came back for the purge valve solenoid under the hood and that it was going to be $200 for the part alone. Here’s the kicker, I replaced that part myself last summer after going to Auto zone to have the code read and paid no more than $40 for the part. A quick google will show you I’m not exaggerating.Promptly I told him no, that’s not how much the part costs, stop working on it, my wife will pick it up in the morning.I figured these guys would be able to find something I was unable to, instead it took them 2 hours to tell me the same thing Auto zone did, then tried to overcharge the h*** out of me.Stay tuned for possible update as I’m sure the process of picking up the truck tomorrow morning should be just as much of a dumpster fire.👌🏻
Love this place! Very professional staff and always do a great job and finish on time. Thanks Chris.
Great staff. Reasonable prices and fast turn around for most repairs
Came in wanting straight pipes for my Chrysler 300C. The old man asked if it was my wife’s car 😐 Ha.... Ha.... 😐 My wife thought that was hilariousHe talked me into keeping my resonators. I’m really glad he did. I love the sound and he was right, it’s not too loud and is best of both worlds. Quiet while cruising and roars when getting on it. I liked the price and quality so much that I sent my wife’s a truck to them. There was a TERRIBLE drone in the truck while at highway speeds. They tossed in a OEM resonator they had laying around and it sounds SO much better inside. Dropped it off that day and it was ready in 2 hours. We didn’t lose any sound quality from the exhaust either. These guys know what they are doing and are very friendly, fast, and professional. Fairbanks is extremely lucky to have this group in town.
I just visited for the first time today and everyone was so kind and quick to help me. I was stressing about my car and coming here was such a welcome relief. They got me in and out so quickly too! Theyre definitely going to be my go-to place from here on out.
So I had my exhaust on my truck break part way off, so was I looking for a good exhaust shop to replace it. I called to get a quote but they told me to come in so their exhaust guy could look at it. I brought it in and told him how I wanted it ran and he gave me a quote way under what I was expecting to pay. I dropped my truck off at 9am and by 3pm I got the call that my truck was ready to pick up. The work was absolutely flawless and far better then the shop I had used for other truck, which I had to take my truck back multiple times because everything was tack wielded. Ill be back for sure
Recently took my car there for new brakes because brakes were making noise. I have a 2014 Ford SUV had in there for couple hours got it back. Was running errands with my son noticed squeaking complained to my husband that it’s still squeaking my husband even said took it back 10 minutes after getting the car because of squeaking said was fixed . Was running errands with son on way back about to go through huge intersection by fort wainwright heard a bang and when was trying to slow down there was. I give on the brakes no nothing thankfully was going slow enough was able to stop and wasn’t right in front coasted you my home and got out the car the whole caliper was off and brake fluid was leaking. My son and I could have been in a major accident due to this mistake that should have never been made called other mechanics and they agreed this was a bad job. Then had the hassle they had to send a tow and fix it again and now had to put a whole new caliper also couldn’t pick up my car because the suv is our only car and base doesn’t allow taxis and all friends are deployed so they then had to bring it back on a tow truck this is the worst service I ever had and all they did after that no they didn’t give us any money back for this hassle and something that could have killed my son and I they gave us a 200 dollar coupon to use their services why would I want more services from them. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!!! Rip you off and don’t have trained people there to do an easy brake job
We took our car here to get it fixed, played almost 1000 dollars... when we got in the car to leave it was way worse then ever before and the steering was really bad all of the sudden to when it steered fine before. Now I couldnt even barely turn the wheel. We had to leave it there and hopefully they fix it right this time around.
Excellent work! They were recommended to me by Walmart Auto Shop and we are highly satisfied. Owner is very personable with a great sense of humor.
We recently moved from the lower 48 up to Fairbanks. Their towing company was contracted out to deliver my Jeep. When I went to take delivery, it wouldnt start, so we put it back up on the flatbed and the driver said their techs could look at it on the morning. Fast forward to today, calls and tells me my starter is bad, no reasoning, and that itll cost $480 to replace it. Since I needed my vehicle yesterday, I told them to go ahead and start it. After thinking for about 5 minutes, I called another local shop, who couldnt get it done today, gladly priced me out a quote. Fairbanks Radiator and Muffler quoted me 2.5hrs of labor while the other checked and found it should technically only take 1.5hrs. $480 for a starter is ridiculous.**Editing in response to their rather late reply**You mean the price that was almost half down the street? Perhaps comprehension is a bit beyond you. I called back 5 minutes after I agreed to the quote. Nice try tho. Proves my point, instead of trying to make stuff right, youll try to pass the blame to the paying customer.
This is a 5 star, quality service, top of the line, fixxed all my problem and got me back on the road in no time flat!!!
Great Service will definitely be back.
Awsome service and friendly. Honest group of people.
Always have had the best service and quality of work in town.
Brought in my 3.8L Jeep Wrangler not expecting to much aggressive noise. I was wrong. These guys did a fantastic job makng a weak engine sound tough. Would refer them to anyone after seeing there quality, time efficient and great priced work.
Nice staff an the work that had been done on my car have been great.
Service was great and everyone was friendly. Had them upgrade my muffler to flowmaster super 44 series I brought and also opted into resonator delete. I didnt schedule an appointment and just did a walk in. They immediately took my car and started working on it. 2 hours after, it was done. Job was done properly and everything was welded and not clamped. Very impressed with the service. I would come back again.
Dont be turned off from the exterior. These guys do some absolutely incredible work. The dual exhaust they put on my old truck would set off car alarms

Awesome service.
Fairbanks Radiator and Muffler has been where I have taken my car to be fixed over the last 4 or so years. They always get the work done. However, they are on South Cushman and last time I took my car there someone destroyed my passenger window and keyhole.
I had a muffler delete done on my challenger hellcat and they had it done in under 2 hours. Really, friendly and friendly
Fast and reliable.
What a joke
Its fair to say they dont want to make money or and theyre not willing to help paying customers thumbs down. Especially when theyve been loyal customers.
