My husband and I have lived here almost a year now and have truly enjoyed it. Our home is spacious and updated. Every neighbor we’ve had is very kind and friendly. The office staff is wonderful…especially Cindy. She’s so kind and is willing to help whenever possible. We’re actually looking forward to living here for years to come!If you’re looking for a beautiful apartment home in Evansville, you need to check out the Brickyard!!
I lived there for quite some time and I would say I would NEITHER COME BACK NOR RECOMMEND ANYONE to come here and stay.First, this property has a very high rental fees and they change their policies and rules and regulations behind the scene without informing residentsSecond, they find out opportunity to charge you for some reasons or the other.Third, WORST MAINTENANCE ever. My kitchen counter top was broken and damaged for 4 years and they did not even bother to change it. Every time we called, the response was we do not have right people available.Same happened to our windows. You cannot open half of the windows and we reported it after the very first week when we moved into the property but nothing happened in four years.Bulbs run out, inside as well as outside. There was a entry gate and security keys etc...it was broken by somebody without punishing that guy, they removed the gate itself.Fourth, worst people in the office. Illogical arguments. They love to find out opportunities to apply a charge to you.So, yes the apartment complex from outside looks shiny...BUT ALL THAT SHINES ARE NOT GOLD.I would have given them -5 rating if I could. Go for other apartments ... they offer much more than these people.
We lived at the Brickyard for one year and this is one of the nicest and well kept properties in the Evansville area! The Assistant Property Manager, Brittany, was awesome to work with and super friendly! The maintenance team was also great and quick to respond to any service calls. These apartments are updated and spacious too! I would definitely recommend this property if you’re in the area and looking for a place to call home!
Great place to live. No issues. Maintenance is very prompt. The management office is terrible. We felt as though I was putting her out to do her job that she is paid to do. It has been a full 3 days. I still dont have a solution to the billing error.
It’s in a Great location, and the apartments are really nice and spacious, and updated, Maintenance here is really good, took care of my request quickly, would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone!
DO NOT LIVE HERE! Don’t let the nice area and living spaces fool you. Although it is very appealing to the eye, the management side of this place is the worst I have ever seen at any residential place. They are absolutely terrible at communication and they will secretly charge you for stuff on your apartment without telling you! Although it was a nice area to live in, I will never live here again after all of the problems we had with the management team.
WARNING - BEWARE!!! The property and living conditions are good. The staff and anyone that you have to talk to who works here is terrible. They are unable to answer the phone or complete any kind of task in a timely manner. They will do their best to completely ruin your living experience at this property. NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PROPERTY.
I initially moved in two years ago and had zero issues with management and genuinely enjoyed the property....when it was privately owned. Once Monarch Investments took over, the apartment complex went down the drain. The company tried to scam my roommate and I out of THOUSANDS of dollars when our lease expired by us not signing anotice of intent to vacate (a piece of paper they left TAPED TO THE DOOR....not emailed...not mailed...TAPED TO THE DOOR when both of us had moved out prior to the notice because of Covid and never got any notice of the extended lease until a phone call two months after the piece of paper had been taped to our door). After convincing the company it was wrong for them to charge us more months rent by allowing them to keep our deposit in exchange, they then charged us more once our lease had expired for damages that did not exist, but (EVEN IF THEY DID EXIST) should have been covered by the deposit that THEY KEPT! It was an awful experience and I would give negative stars if I could. Bring back Roxanne.
Lived there for a good while unfortunately. While the neighborhood is well kept by extremely nice maintenance men who are great, however the staff management that sits inside is probably the rudest set of people I have ever come encountered. We have dealt with many different changes while living there with staff. We also have dealt with many weird issues there. While is a safe neighborhood, there are some issues with surrounding area of kids breaking into cars. Its happened a few times.Dont expect luxury living like they state. Its very smoke and mirrors. Cheap walls and fixtures. Its not as nice as you might think and its very deceiving. Now for our big issues. We had a dog that had seizures and the manager at the time told us that we should put him down because he would sometimes be a little loud while having them. The manager then called a vet and scheduled us an appointment because she believed our vet wasnt good enough. *Note- This was under old management and ownership, but still my experience with overall time of living there. New corporate asked me to change note this.*Also same manager blamed us for smoking and throwing the butts outside. I dont smoke, never have and told her I am allergic to most smoke. It was the neighbor doing it, but they blamed us. Never apologized about it once they found out. They also blamed us for being loud and fighting one weekend. Come to find out we were out of town and it was the neighbors. They just are quick to come at you without actually knowing. *Note- This was under old management and ownership, but still my experience with overall time of living there. New corporate asked me to change note this.*Over time, staff management did change but never once have had a nice staff. They are very demanding and cold like. They expect you to be perfect when they are not. I get apartment management is hard, but they dont care about their tenants, just money. Being a local business owner, I am offended the way they handle business. I feel sorry for the new company that bought the complex a few years ago, they got taken. Also be prepared to pay a trash service fee of $20, that the apartment makes a lot on. The company charges them around $11 per apartment, so Brickyard make an extra $9 or so on already high rent. They wont admit it, but I know other apartment managers elsewhere they use these services at their complex. Its a huge cash grab and nickel and dime for residents. Its 100% enforced you use it.Parking also is not great, as management doesnt enforce tenants guest taking up spots infant of your place. Sometimes I would have to park across the street or down a bit while carrying groceries in, while neighbors friends would park in front of our complex while hanging out. Complained a few times, nothing was done. They dont care.I will add this to my revised review. I lived there for a good while, never was late or had a late fee. We moved out and waited on a bill in which we never received in the mail, but they said they sent. The management never once contacted me until one day they threatened collections. Never called, just a cold email. I paid it that same day. On top of that, there was a late fee added to the bill I owed. All these years and they charged me a late fee when I was moving out. Just the amount of greediness is extremely petty.I was hesitant about writing this, but I felt people need to know about my experience living there .Of course there is a lot more that went on. Overall, I would avoid this place and go elsewhere. Many places in Evansville, this is one to avoid. I just feel the attitude is very poor and hopefully they can fix their local staff.
DO NOT RENT HERE!!! Find somewhere else at all costs. There are plenty of better places to live in Evansville so do not settle for this place. They clearly do not know how to run a business. They are unable to fulfill the simplest tasks and are unbelievably disorganized. They will make you hate living there.
New owners have truly ruined the experience of living here. Can not wait until my lease is up to move onto somewhere else. Hopefully they can get their act together.
They did not let me see/sign the lease until move in day to my apartment here. The lease was wrong to start off with and they had to go back and make some changes. I added a washer/dryer and used the renters insurance thats offered through the apartment complex. it took them TWO WEEKS to get me my washer/dryer and then still charged me for a full month. Then I was fined for not having renters insurance because it was never included on my lease!!! This place is so poorly managed and nobody knows what the hell is going on. The front office will tell you whatever you want to hear to make you happy in that moment and then you get screwed over later down the line because they just straight up lie to you.
This is a very nice place to live in. There are a few issues but overall a great place.
Luxury is an overstatement. Once new management took over, the quality has gone down. Grass does not get cut very often. We have more spiders outside our apartments than in the forest. Our apartment got bugs even though we live extremely clean; it took multiple calls to get someone out here to take care of it and it is still a reoccurring problem. The gossip of the dog park is there is a gentleman who lets his dog use the bathroom in the apartment and has pee pads spread throughout the apartment-but he only cleans it 1-2 a week. Insane a company would allow a tenant to live that way without taking action. Its disgusting and appalling.
Until recently this was a really nice place to live. Even thought its still fairly expensive. When they got new owners however prices changed, utilities arent included anymore, and I cant pay in the front office. Im not even sure if I can get maintenance anymore. In the past the maintenance people were always available and have replaced my water heater and fixed the leaking roof in my apartment. Now I dont think I could call them to plunge the toilet without waiting 5 business days. Its safe to say Im moving out.
I was going to rent a 3 bedroom apartment. They now have new owners. Rent is $1,175 with absolutely nothing included. They are also charging $50 per month for their washer and dryers that they are adding to every unit, you cant even bring your own (due to water leaks). Electric runs $200 per monthWater & Sewer $30 per monthPest $6 per monthTrash $20 per monthCable and Wifi are also not includedMise well buy a house.
Very nice and kept apartments. Maintenance guys are very hard workers and will get any problems fixed ASAP. Had a roommate randomly break the lease, make sure you have a trusting roommate or it all falls back on you. Also, very disappointed with the security deposit refund. I cleaned for 6 hours myself including sweeping, carpet shampoo, cleaned the apartment top to bottom to the best of my ability and the notes written included very dirty carpets, very dirty stove. Very Dirty can have different meanings to different people. I have lived in previous apartments that did not charge for painting or carpet cleaning. They repainted the entire apartment and took the money out of the security deposit. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME...DONT PLAN TO GET ANY OF THE SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK.
They take your money- watch out you are paying FEEs and not depositsa lot of hidden fees.Tiffany ( a worker there who changed out the air filters) left my townhouse key in my door when changing air filters and I found my place unlocked with the key in the lock. I held on to the key and the brickyard never asked for it back- DONT WORRY BRICKYARD I GAVE IT BACK WHEN I LEFT.my townhouse smelled like smoke for the first 6 months of me living there because the prior resident was apparently bed ridden and smoked in the townhouse- brickyard claims they replaced the carpet before i moved in- but it still smelled of smoke.I paid a $300 pet move in FEE and $20 monthly pet FEE-these are not considered deposits so none of this money goes to any damages by your pet. When I moved out- I had cleaned the carpets- well brickyard decided to tear up the carpets and then stuck me with the $2300 bill of replacing the carpet because they said there were pet stains in them.In talking with other residents past and present- some had also been hit with outrageous costs while others werent. There is a lot on inconsistency with that. Also, they now provide trash pick up service that is mandatory and you dont have the option of opting out of. You have a plain jane 13 gallon trashcan that you set out btwn the hours of 6-8pm. If the trashcan gets stolen damaged or lost- you have to pay $45 to replace it. if you leave it out past 9am the next morning you get charged a $25 fine. This service is free until you renew your lease and its another $20/monthly FEESo if you enjoy hidden fees and inconsistency then this is the place for you!
Had some issues with a few things & the new leasing consultant Cynthia is so awesome she resolved everything!! 😊
Best apartments on the west side!
