The guy Terry I think is his name is super nice. Always has somthing to talk about. Lol did a great job on my nails. Very family friendly. The nail desks could be a little cleaner but thats about it.

All around great place to get your nails done. They always do a fantastic job on my nails every time I go. Not only do they do a good job, their salon is very welcoming. They have a very friendly staff with great customer service. This is definitely my favorite spot in Humboldt to get my nails done. Would definitely recommend.

I love this place! Terry, Fionna and precious zena are wonderful and just a joy to be around! I am living btwn Humboldt and the Bay Area and the only problem is that I have not found anyone in my other home who can do as good a job on my nails as these two do!Really hard on stuff especially my nails, but they never complain about the state of my nails when I come in. They just make em look great every time!

Did an amazing Job on my sunflower nails they actually took the time with it and made sure everything was going right they also were very friendly and was having a very nice conversation when you come in. Totally recommend special for design nails Because she did the most amazing and wonderful job on my nails and other places refuse to do them Because it was too hard or too complicated but she did a great job I am very impressed

I had a beautiful deep red gel nails manicure yesterday at Family Nails. The girl did a fantastic meticulous job with many coats. She got just the right amount of close to the cuticles and covered the sides perfectly. Today, after a work event, I washed dishes for about an hour and my nails still look perfect. I will be going back often. Thank you!

Ive been going to Family nails for years. I have had gel polish and gel tips. They do a great job. Absolutely trust them to to do what I want and always get what I want. I also get eyebrows waxed twice monthly and have never been disappointed. I have and would recommend Family nails if you want pretty nails.

Although they don’t have all supplies for the nail art that I want he still managed to have me In aww and when I posted my nails on Instagram my friends wouldn’t stop asking where I got them done ❤️❤️❤️👑🌼 also my eyebrows got slayed to the gods yes yes I’m will be coming back !!!😍

I love getting my nails done here the owners are so friendly and always want to talk to you so if youre ever having a bad day definitely go on in there they will make you feel way better. They really take the time to get your nails done right too.

This place is owned by a sweet husband and wife duo who got two of us in very quickly and were a pleasure to be helped by. The quality of their acrylics was phenomenal, my favorite in the past few months.

Super laid-back, intimate atmosphere... Adam Sandler VHS tapes playing on the TV, comfy old chairs, owners know everybodys name. It struck me that many clients have been going to Family Nails for years. Husband and wife team are very personable and gentle. The quality of their work is why Im giving them the highest rating possible. These guys take the time to get the job done right. They listen and give me exactly what I want. My nails are immaculate and the rates are reasonable. I will definitely be a devoted customer for Family Nails.

Im very picky and this place is GREAT!!!!!!!!The atmosphere is nothing fancy, but its comfortable. I like to wear my natural nails, short, with gel polish. Im very particular about the cuticles and skin around my nails as well as places where the gel may stick to the skin. If its not perfect, I will just pick at it when I get home. So I always let the nail tech know. She totally listened! THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!!!!! My nails look great like the nails on the poster; very clean, classic, and beautiful. I got full gel nail POLISH, cuticle trim, french manicure for $35. Second only to my fav in So Cal. This will be my new nail place.

Called the day before for reservation and even came in early when the technician asked if I could. Before coming in I asked the price and if he took card. He said no, but will accept pay pal and Venmo.During the appointment He unprovoked started talking about how he is anti-abortion. Me and my husband spent my entire appointment schooling him on women’s rights and what “banning abortion” really means and looks like. He also asked if we had kids. When I stated we are looking into fostering and adopting he said it’s not the same as having your own kids. I then pointed out his hypocrisy asking what happens to all the unwanted children when those mothers don’t choose abortion. This stranger was literally was telling me what to do with my body and what life choices to make. Ethically I was already turned off from my experience.At the end of the appointment he asked for payment, $2 more than what he told me yesterday. I corrected him verbally, but decided to pay him the asked amount because I know how hard he worked. He made mistakes, but fixed them before I left. When I asked what to use for Venmo he gave me his number and I double checked before sending the full amount. I even left tip. He already moved on to the next client at this time so I didn’t bother him and I left.He calls me on speakerphone in front of all of his current clients a few hours later saying I didn’t pay him. We went over the details and he kept insisting that I did something wrong. I sent him a screenshot of the payment and he calls me again on speakerphone saying I didn’t send the screenshot and I didn’t pay him. I put him on speakerphone explaining what number I sent it to and getting very upset that he is accusing me of lying and stealing from him. I hear his wife in the background and then he says that he doesn’t have Venmo on his phone and I still need to give him money. At this point I was not having it and told him he better get Venmo because he’s already been paid. He repeats the same script, calling me a liar so I hang up on him. He then texts me saying how rude I am for hanging up and saying that he didn’t get the screenshot. I then took a screenshot of the screenshot in the text and sent it AGAIN. I told him to stop texting me and he did.This is by far the WORST experience I’ve had at a nail shop and I’ve had some pretty bad ones. Do not support this awful person.

THEY DONT DO REAL GEL NAILS! They do the dip powder, which is arcylic. NOT GEL, but they call it gel nails. Ive been going here a few years and just today did my research on gel nails. I will not be going back as they are scamming people by calling dip nails gel nails.Also the guy has talked to me numerous times about why he was voting for Donald Trump. Im not a trump supporter and he wouldnt stop talking about it. Talking politics is one of the worst things you can do as a business owner or employee. I really liked the family atmosphere, but not if Im getting scammed or being bugged about politics.

The people there were very friendly!! The place however was a mess trash and junk just everywhere that was the first time I’ve ever gone to any nail place and see one that messy. They also only take cash or you have to pay them through PayPal which I didn’t like. Probably won’t go back.
