Andrew at Skeie’s Jewelers is top notch in terms of professionalism, customer care, and watch knowledge!Just to share my experience. I had been eyeing a very popular Tudor model (BB58 in blue on bracelet) for about a year. I called around recently to other local ADs. One said they couldn’t get me on a list unless I showed up in person, and another said that they hadnt received one for a few months.Then at last, I called Skeie’s and Andrew very excitedly told me they received two of them earlier that day. He even waived the reservation deposit since I didn’t have my wallet with me, and promptly sent me the invoice showing that it was now on hold.I gladly took the 2.5 hour drive down to see them later that week. It was a testament to their popularity and service charm that they had sold out of every Rolex there. There weren’t even any in the display window.I was met with genuine enthusiasm by Andrew and his fantastic service. We talked about watches (he’s a “watch nerd” too), he helped me with on-the-house Loctite and spring bar change for a watch I hadn’t even purchased from them. He even got me on a list for a very coveted watch that other ADs likely wouldn’t even consider doing. He never made me feel like he was in a rush. In fact, I felt bad afterwards for trying to leave earlier to beat Portland traffic on the way back.I have nothing but positive regards and remarks for Skeie’s and their apparently long history of customer care and loyalty.

Was on vacay in Oregon from out of state, brought in my modern Rolex as it was losing time and they have an accredited Rolex watchmaker on-site. Skeies is absolutely amazing. I got my ring resized in December. In January the diamond fell out. I contacted them to see if it could have been an issue with the resizing. They said no, but it was an issue they should have caught when inspecting it prior to returning it to me. They replaced the diamond and appraised it at no cost. Everyone was so kind and understanding. I loved going in there every time and will definitely be returning!

Went to get an engagement ring initially appraised, cleaned, fitted, then reappraised.The customer service with Skeie’s was really the main crutch of this poor review.First off, the appraisal person was not at the store when they said, over the phone, that they personally check on the jewel being brought in with the customer so that you can make sure there are no blemishes or cracks before they begin to work on it. Second, they cleaned the ring and refitted it WITHOUT appraising it first. Shouldn’t there be a policy to not do anything with the ring until it’s been appraised? Third, this entire process took OVER A MONTH. Seriously, what jewelry store takes over a month (Reminder, in Eugene Oregon) to do a cleaning and appraisal? And that’s not mentioning the fact that they DIDN’T DO the appraisal within that month.Their excuse? They said the receipt for the appraisal was stuck behind the cleaning receipt! Wow, what an incredible excuse....what’s that maxim about excuses again?I forgot to include that we went to this jeweler on 3-4 separate trips. All of these appointments were set up by US. There was next to zero response from the jewelry store themselves when the cleaning was done; we had to call THEM multiple times to make sure they didn’t simply forget about us! This is how we eventually found out they never did our appraisal: they were clueless.So the final straw is that after finding out the appraisal was not done at all we went to the store for the 4th and final time. We made absolutely sure the gemologist, who does the appraisal work, would be in the store as soon as they opened on Saturday at 10 AM. Thankfully, she was there, but the story doesn’t just end easily there. We came in wanting the appraisal done THAT VERY DAY, we were completely fed up at this point. We expected it done for free as well because of how much trouble this was for something as extremely important and valuable as an engagement ring. The appraiser was unsympathetic and tried to be humorous about this ordeal. She was nice enough to immediately comp this appraisal because she could see we weren’t in a humorous mood. She still went so far as to rudely say “look, do you want this ring appraised for free or not?” Even though WE ARE THE ONES WHO HAVE BEEN YANKED AROUND by this incompetent staff!It is easy to presume that we will NOT be going back to Skeie’s jewelers for any of their business, even if they’re the only place around Eugene.The ironic icing on top? The appraisal that took them over a month to work out with us? Took them less than 1 hour to do the appraisal once we came in for that 4th and final time as unsatisfied customers. When we returned to get that final appraisal the gemologist we had spoken with just under an hour ago decided to completely cold-shoulder avoid us and not even make eye contact with us and instead handed off the appraisal and receipt to a completely different employee to hand to us. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I brought in my mother’s 1946 wedding ring for a consultation. The five small diamonds were missing. Mr. Skeie spent over an hour with me. He immediately told me it was an 18 karat white gold mounting. I had no idea! He also knew right away the sentimental value. He wanted to recreate for me the beauty this ring deserved.He knew I didn’t have a lot of money. But he found be five incredible diamonds I could afford and said he would size it for free.I just picked up my ring and the setting and sizing is flawless! It is beyond beautiful! Walked in here ready to buy jewelry and was immediately looked down upon and judged. I was cut off mid sentence when asking about the vault sale and talked to with a rude tone. Sad to provide such a bad review since it looks like many other people get treated well and have great experiences, but sadly I did not.

Customer service is awesome at this place. Spendy as far as jewelry goes but then again if you want production jewelry then go elsewhere. Top notch place. Go see jenn shes great!
