With the right motivation and mind set this place can help you go from zero to hero. Eight years later I want to let it be known I still owe so much of my growth to this place. To not have to go back, but know I can if I ever need to. Never even a resident. Your goal has been met. Forever grateful.

Its good if you have to take a showers and get mail but it stops not in my very friendly and make you feel ashamed to even be in there

I think you should ask what would Jesus do before you make life changing decisions for people in their worst situations they have truly proven man can only fail you and Im sure that there are great people that do work there and have worked there that have done great things but in my situation they dropped the ball bureaucracy is partly to blame Im sure I will pray you find the error in your ways so no one else has to feel my pain

Discrimination against single fathers.Leadership needs to change.I thought they helped families.

Its a wonderful place. They help families in need of a shower, clothes, food. They are truama informed so its a safe place to be.

The most helpful and best place to come if youre ever in need. If you are homeless and have kids definitely come here! They are awesome and will do everything to help you. The staff are super supportive and you wont be embarrassed to tell them your situation cos they all are super nice and dont judge. I love this place!!!

This place is so awesome for family to come cook food, do laundry, and they give you the washer pods and the dryer sheets! kids can play inside or outside if the weather is nice. You can have conversations with other adults who are going to the same things you are. They have great staff, very friendly, super caring and compassionate and they are very helpful!! best place ever!!!

This is the best family day shelters Ive been to the staff members are wonderful they have everything homeless family need there washers and dryers a kitchen to be able to cook food for your family they have food there you can eat during the daytime there my favorite thing about it is they have a awesome preschool I really love and appreciate everything they do for homeless families❤️

This is a great place for the homeless families to be together as a family its better than the mission at least the families can stay all together and say struggle to get homes for these families or to help them and what funding they get they try the best they can to feed the people there in the morning and night sometimes they dont have enough funding to do enough for the people there but Becky Bob and many other of the people that work there do their best that they can and they work all the time to help the homeless families two wonderful place I wish that they got more funding and more help for us and all these homeless people and all his people thank God

This is a day shelter for the homeless. The services they provide are priceless. You can shower, cook, do laundry, you can get your mail here and you can take your child/children to preschool for a few hours every weekday. And thats not even all they have to offer. This place has been my saving Grace more than a few times! And the staff there is amazing!

First Place Family Center is an invaluable resource for homeless families or single mothers/parents. The day center features an open-use kitchen, computers, laundry room, showers, a play area, an outside playground, activities for children, and information and resources for needy families. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.The center requires new families to do an intake, fill out personal information paperwork, and speak with the director. I recommend FPFC to any families who are in need or new in town.During Summer, the center is only available for day use. For families who need a place to sleep, the night shelter program becomes available once Summer is over.

This place is so open and loving. They truly care about all of their clients no matter the situation. I am proud that they are here to help out the community and be a rock for families who are having a hard time

Great for needy families. You can wash clothes there, also food is provided with a kitchen to cook very family oriented had a day care as well as they are willing to help pay for housing apps. Ect

Nice day shelter. Both clients and staff (most of them anyways. )are very nice and helpful. (Mostof) the staff is helpful in assisting with paperwork, finding housing, etc.

First Place Family Center - is a grant based operation that routinely picks and chooses who actually gets help. Community Block Action Grants are taken from the Fed. for each client but rarely go to help beyond staffers. Staff is instructed who receives assistance and who is forced back to the streets upon their receiving large grants to help their homeless family. Staff has received multiple complaints over the last 20 years on the state level for * Sex with clients * Drug sales to clients * Misappropriation of funds * Discrimination. Homeless can receive the assistance needed by contacting shelter care of Eugene, St Vincent de Paul directly, Food for lane county, Catholic Services, Goodwill, The Salvation Army and The Lane County Central Waiting List via Eugene Shelter Care for assistance with housing.

I would normally have so many good things to say about first place and staff but with recent changes and experience I have to say the new Assistant director Emily is horrible not companionate not understanding bad communication unwilling to work with family’s lacks ability’s needed to replace a great former assistant director Diane also new staff Ilene obviously contributing to the horrible change that are slowing the function of the center and worsen the outcome for familys
