I go to st.vinnies strictly for books.Reading is good, and you dont need the internet to do it......
They R A Awesome Organization & Always Have Quality Used Merchandise. The Employees R Courteous & FriendLee. Always Leave With Fantabulous Products
Despite what this location says, its a retail location that has an amazing book selection.
Foster Martinez and his crew do a great job at the St Vincent de Paul veterans program they saved my life and showed me that people do care this is a bunch of great people and they deserve all the respect in the world thank you St Vincent de Paul
St. Vinnies may do great things for the community, but they treat their employees terribly. Do NOT recommend working there.
They have help us there the best. Veterans as well
My appointment at St.Vinnies administration office was productive and guarded from giving or receiving the Covid 19 virus. I got my biluisiness taken care of and felt safe with all my interactions there. Good Job St. Vinnies!
Never have much that is good here, no toys, no appliances and no carts that hold babies what so ever. Staff is very polite tho and bathrooms are very clean.
This place has absolutely CRAZY prices, everything is priced at retail or Ebay plus pricing. This is a THRIFT STORE where items are donated.
Good place to visit low prices friendly people working there
It was closed but met a fabulous lady outside their office that helped me out tremendously and was exceptionally nice.
Vinnies always serves!
Excellent Customer Service!
If u have an appointment u have to wait for it a long time for it outside.🥺
Love shopping at St. Vinnies. The store here on Chad Dr opened back up a couple of weeks ago.
I love St. Vinnies, but this one is set up terribly. There is no space for wheelchairs between racks. My wheels were dragging against clothes and shelves on both sides. I understand wanting to maximize space, but they have many store fronts and should be able to distribute things well enough to make sure it is up to ADA standards.
I love renting with St. Vinnies
Newly expanded remodeled store! Expanded the Womans clothing.
An excellent book selection and they do a good job of keeping things organized and alphabetized. A great place to pick up paperbacks for kids, as all childrens books are 79 cents and many are like new.
Very helpful in every way you could imagine! They have more resources than most places, staff is very down to earth! I felt like I was a friend or family member, easy to talk to about whatever your going through, they dont judge, or look down at you, very awesome.
Normally I dont find much at this location but today was a great day, I got many things at a very good deal, super happy.
Went with a friend needing some housing assistance. The people at St Vinnys are welcoming and inclusive to all. They also want people within the LGBTQ+ communities to know they are welcome and they provide a safe space for those looking for help.
Very nice thrift store
They are a non profit that helps the homeless and low income in so many ways. They have a lot of programs to help that you wont find anywhere else
My family lived in saint Vincent housing and had a wonderful experience for the first 4 years. After that my fiance and I decided to move in together and fight for custody of his son. We went to the administrative office and asked what we needed to do. They told us that we needed to turn in a copy of my fiances drivers license and his social security card. So we did exactly that. We were told that if we didnt hear anything that all was well and not to worry, but if we received a denial letter that he would not be able to live there. They said to wait 30 days for the letter. 60 days went by and still no letter, so we moved him in. He spent a lot of his time helping the onsite manager with repairs and mowing the lawns (the onsite had a bad back) and he was constantly helping out a lot of the tenants in the complex. A few months later we received a letter stating that I was allowing someone to live in the house without their knowledge and that he would need to be out within 72 hours, and if he wasnt,my children and I would be kicked out as well. We called the office and asked what happened and what could be done. They told us to come in and resubmit his drivers license and social security card and that, just to be safe, to make him leave the house in the meantime. So we did. We then received a letter stating that he was being denied because he was already residing in the house and that my children and I had 30 days to get out of the house. This came as a shock because I had been a tenant there for 4 years and never had a complaint, was never late on a payment, my kids were very behaved, my fiance helped out, and we passed every inspection. Now my family of 6 was forced out of our home and ended up costing us thousands of dollars to get somewhere else. Meanwhile, my neighbor who had different people moving in and out of her place and had the cops called at least once a month, my other neighbor who sold and used drugs out of her place, my other neighbor who had way more money than she said she did on paper, and the neighborhood drunk, were all able to live peacefully in their homes. Stvdp did a lot for me, by giving me an affordable place to live, but they ripped it away pretty quickly too.
I have donated quite a few items of late to St Vinnies. My youngest son applied for a job and got selected. He was assigned to working at the warehouse off Roosevelt and felt it was an unsafe place to work due to some of the actions of the workers there. He mentioned this to the HR dept next day when he called in and the lady there was mad at him for doing this. Guess he wont be going back there again.
Have been living at one of there units for 6years,things have went from decent,to terrible.they will not respond 99percent of the time.i was told they have a new pet policy, where they now allow 80 lb dogs to live in studio apts, and attack all the neighbors smaller animals, and ND one guy below me lives in a studio and has 3 dogs and is breeding them.so I guess puppy mills are allowed in studio apts.it stinks so bad,dog poop everywhere, but they will do nothing about it.shameful, used to be a nice place tolive.new owners have ruined it,
This place is a way of interaction and great way for one to get resources
Very helpful team they have these days! Hopefully we get into permanent housing through them, very soon!!
Books are not very orderly at Chad drive location.Seneca street is excellent at categorizing.I will drive the extra miles to Seneca every time. Thank you Seneca location.
To me St. Vinnies has a better price for used things than Goodwill does. You can buy movies very cheaply there and their clothes are a decent price.
Thumbs up for the Lady that works the front desk at the admin office on chad drive. Such a sweet soul ♡ and so very kind and helpful. I used to work for this company and loved it. Minus the gossiping that was going on at the Q St store but that was years ago. Entire staff and management has changed since then. Anyways.....I love giving my donations to st vinnies simply cause I truly know the sales doe gell people in need. Its amazing to have such wonderful organization in town.
Great non profit organization to vollunteer or get many different services in our community
These people are supposed to be for LOW INCOME housing. Yet you have to pay $45 every time you apply if its been over 90 days and when they call you to apply it usually takes 90 days for the place to be move in ready. Then you get to pay the fee again. Thats if they dont call you and say actually someone was ahead of you like they did to me the first time (have been trying to get in for 3 years). Thats cool I just wasted $45. The rent is not subsidized either so if you lose your job you just get evicted and then the best part is, you have 3 days to come up with the move in costs. THREE DAYS. What kind of place for LOW INCOME PEOPLE gives you 3 days to come up with move in costs when they make you wait 4 months while they are getting it ready and cant even give you any kind of time estimate? I have to come up with $1000 in 3 days. And their income limits for approval are so low with myself and my son I cant even take home more than $1400 a month, MAXIMUM or I am over income. Its a joke. I dont know how anyone gets in here and if you can come up with that money in 3 days youre lying about your income somewhere because people who truly meet their income limits cant come up with that kind of money in 3 days unless they got income coming in somewhere that isnt reported or have no bills. And I actually got someone to borrow me the money but me child ended up in the hospital in anaphylaxis from medicine and rotavirus and they still moved on to the next person because I couldnt make it to the appointment because my child was in isolation and anaphylaxis bunch of heartless horrible people. I couldnt get anyone else to stay with my child because NO ONE WANTS ROTAVIRUS! They are NOT there to help you, cant even wait a day or two for kid to get out of the hospital.... how can an organization going out acting like they try and help people do something like this?
Friendly & helpful
St. Vincent de Paul has a lot of resources for Eugene citizens so if you need any kind of help like food housing clothes Etc. That this is the place to check first. And good luck for all of those seeking help at St Vincent de Paul.
Sure would like to see a landlord take the opening at heather glen apartments,,,, we need them here so we can enjoy the wreck room and have our get togethers and bar b ques. ...sure do miss the good old days............
Way over priced for what it is
The staff was extremely helpful when it came to helping me find services.
Often i find a great store to shop at however the employees have a bad attitude this isbthe case with half the emoloyeas ive had the misfortune to have to deal with.then there are the items priced way over the top.to spend 400 to 900 on a sofa thats stained with buttons missing and then tables or wooden furniture is chipped gouged and wobbly for several hundred dollars .all these items are astoundingly overpriced.st Vincents de paul is now a profit instead of a non profit .most people walk away very disgruntled ans shocked as to how much they are.once in a great while one can find a good deal but rareThey have many stores in the Eugene area and offer a vairety of items acorss the board.stop by and check one out.there are plenty nof cool things to buy but what i find in stores brand new is allot less expensive then st Vincents de paul.they do have wheelchair access to their stores .they have free parking and no public restrooms .their hours of operation are 10 am to 6 pm.
They were absolutely wonderful!! Thank u SO, SO much
I miss Kathy she is nice they need to hire someone who smiles
These people are the BEST!!! Support St. Vincent DePaul, they really do change lives!
Love this place. Great book section!
They made the store bigger
Getting to where they are pricing to high. Some things you can buy new for the same price or even less.
Not many XXL clothes that are fashionable.
Good spot to pick up something quick! They take the time to help you find what you need!
Very nice variety of different well taken care of materials
Way too spendy for a thrift store. Even the deals arent great.
Youre likely not going to find exactly what youre looking for. So if you have a specific need, its worth a check, but better to just shop around
Donated a lot of my Dads things after he passed away, chose SVdP because they dont pay their administration huge salaries. Plus they were very helpful and have a veterans program we could donate specifically for.
Wanted $35 for a pair of used tennis shoes...seriously?
Always a good visit. Receptionist is awesome!
They help alot of people
Great op shop w antique furniture from all over the world
Very dishonest people dont go there if you dont have to
Wish the prices were better but the sale stuff is decent
Treasures galore. Wonderful staff.
Great place for second hand merchandise
Great place to find your favorite Treasures
Got all the parts I needed to fix my grand daughters bike here.
Nice ppl
Good folks doing good works.
St. Vincent’s: Why buy it brand new when you can buy it used and slightly battered for the same price? Sometimes more!! — Shop Teen Challenge Thrift Store instead.
They really work to help folks
Information attendant very helpful
Fair amount of clothes, not much for furniture.
Unfortunately they closed the warehouse and only the usual stores are now open.
Not very helpful or friendly
There prices are to high u can buy for brand new for the prices they charge
Great place for vets and family
