Use this taxi service if you can. The cars were very clean and Jay was absolutely fantastic. I was in a big hurry to get to the airport and he not only got me there in time but gave me regular updates on when wed probably get there.He was so kind and considerate. He was happy to talk if I wanted but generally let me do what I needed to do in the back. The car had plenty of space for a lot of luggage (about 3 large bags) and had classy leather seats. Payment was easy and you can do it before you get there if youre in a hurry.

No drivers means youre not going anywhere !Thay just need to throw in the towel . If youre incapacitated of running a business Dont start one like that have tried to do . Myself I would be embarrassed.!!

I was there for a quick tour in U of O and googled taxi services since I dont use Uber. Eugene Hybrid came on top of the list. I called and dispatchers were friendly and accurate. Clean and safe ride Lita it was! Highly recommended to all students out there...

Ive used Eugene Hybrid Taxi several times, and each experience has been pleasant. They have always been early or on time and the drivers are very sociable. Theyre always extremely nice and charge reasonably. I definitely would recommend their services.

Very dishonest and disrespectful! I was told I could reserve a ride home from the airport and provided my debit card number to the dispatcher while waiting in San Francisco. NO MENTION WAS MADE OF A NO SHOW FEE. I was told someone would call me as I arrived and be there when I exited. I did not get a call and no taxi was present. I waited 15 minutes outside baggage claim, still no call or taxi. I finally got a different taxi. As I was nearly home, i got a call from Hybrid who said he was finally at the airport. I told him I had not gotten a call and had waited on him and finally took a different taxi home. He said that was fine, again NO MENTION OF A SUPPOSED NO SHOW FEE. The lead dispatcher subsequently verified that the drive had ARRIVED LATE and promised a refund of the $25 they charged my card. Having not received a refund in over a week I called again and got the owner, David. He was extremely rude, talked over me and hung up on me. AVOID THIS TAXI COMPANY. THEY ARE DISHONEST AND RUDE!!!!

Awesome experience! Late flight after 1 am. All of our bags did not come down baggage claim. We were last ones wondering where bag was when airline called to say at ticket counter. By the time we got out to taxi stand, all cabs were gone. Fortunately a Eugene Hybrid came by at 1:45 am and was able to take us to our hotel. I am extremely grateful 😊

Used Eugene Hybrid twice today and was not dissapointed. The dispatcher squeezed me in for a last minute pickup request downtown. When I requested a future pickup time from my residence, they arrived right on time. Both drivers were very personable.

Clean, quiet, courteous, prompt - thats how I describe my recent experience with Hybrid Taxi. The driver was there to meet my flight and took the most direct route to my house. The streets in my neighborhood are complicated, so direct delivery has not always happened with other taxis. I recommend Hybrid and will use them again. My only regret was not having a bigger tip for the driver.

They are always on time or early, when I call, and they already know who I am, based on my phone #, so it saves time. Highly recommend...

I called my cab around 9 on a Friday and they said 20-30 minutes because they were busy. My driver arrived within 10 minutes and got me downtown fast and safe. I normally get nervous because some taxi drivers are in a rush but mine was calm and collective. Thanks for driving my drunk self around on my birthday!

Hello! So I took a taxi because I was having a rough night and I wanted to go to my friends house I had been drinking and I trusted to bring my bag into the Taxi. My bag had weed in it and several other items like a tazer and other things of valuable importance to a young female and we are in Eugene so I thought that I would be safe to bring my bag. But the taxi driver actually, after I left the Taxi to go into my friends house searched through my bag after I left and stole more than half of the items I had in it and now I have to file a police report because the dispatcher and the taxi driver both talked about my bag search through it together and proceeded To lie to me saying I didn’t even have a bag until the cops were involved. The camera footage at my house showed me leaving and getting into the taxi with my bag on. They were trying to make me sound like I was too drunk. You take Taxi’s when you’re drunk so that you do not drink and drive. I 100 percent do not recommend Eugene hybrid Taxi and I will be pressing charges for lying and theft from a young female. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a taxi company do not use them to lie to me saying I didn’t even have a bag until the cops were involved. The dispatcher and the driver Tim IN A RED PRIUS with the license plate #047HTH is in on it lied to my face. If you feel like you have ever had an item stolen you are legally allowed to press charges even if there is marijuana involved. This is Eugene Oregon, 21+ is the legal age. Thank you!

We were late coming in and claiming our bags and Scud welcomed us kindly at 2 am, helped us with our bags and offered us water and snacks. He has the absolute best attitude of any driver I have had. The price was good and exactly what what was estimated. Will be using Hybrid Taxi again.

My husband and I recently traveled from Coos Bay, OR to Eugene/Springfield, for separate medical procedures. Since neither of us was supposed to drive after our appointments, I enlisted the assistance of Eugene Hybrid Taxi Cabs (EHTC) to shuttle us from our hotel to our various locations. From my initial call, with Gloria, to set up our 4 rides, to Cat, who confirmed and coordinated our rides on the day of our appointments, to Steve who drove us, throughout the day with patience and a smile, the service was friendly, prompt and enjoyable. The cabs are clean, oderfree and I appreciate, as hybrids, their environmentally friendly carbon footprint. We may need to facilitate a similar excursion in the future, if so, I will be calling our new friends at EHTC. I highly recommend them.

Scud was a real rockstar! He arrived promptly, called to let me know he arrived and was perfectly fine to wait a few minutes while i got ready. The trip was short, but he really made it a sweet ride!

He informed me that if the driver has a problem finding the house, they will call me. I appreciate that immensely; as our house is hard to find! Tim, our driver was very pleasant to be around. Days before ordering a taxi I went to a different taxi service website that gave me a quote on line. Then, the day before, my hostess ordered a taxi from here, Hybrid Taxi. I didnt ask how much. The were on time, literally pulling in the drive two minutes before scheduled time. The driver was courteous, friendly, helpful. To top it off, it was 30% less than the quote I received on line.

Was told I would be texted when the driver had been dispatched. 4:25am, nothing.I called and spoke to the dispatcher who told me a driver was ‘starting’ at 4:30am and would be able to pick me up.I told the dispatcher I need to leave at 4:30am to be at the airport by 5:00am, so was she telling me the driver would start and be at my house all in the same minute?She put me on hold.I woke someone up and had them take me to the airport. 8 minutes later I was still on hold.I hung up to call them back and say forget it, I’m halfway to the airport when I then got the text saying my cab had been dispatched.There is no way I would have made my flight. Hold for 8 minutes?I will never risk my travel with Hybrid Taxi again and neither should you.

Just called for a ride to the Gateway Mall and the guy said I was unsure where I was going and where I was and then he just hung up. Worst service ever!

My student daughter failed to get picked up by a shuttle service at 4 in the morning for a ride to the airport. Eugene Hybrid Taxi jumped in to save the day and help her get the airport and make her flight home. This service was relatively fast with the pick up. Once on the ride home how ever I discovered the person who was driving the cab was the owner of the service. More over, this person was quite an unsafe driver. Little to no regard for humans around him. I would not suggest this service. You will get home fast thought. But at the same time; Id rather not be driven home by a DB.

I called today at 11:15 am to schedule a pick up for 2:55 pm. I get a call from my driver at the time he was supposed to be arriving and he was telling me he was just then heading over to pick me up and would be 15 minutes late. Absolutely unprofessional. I told him that when I call ahead of time to schedule a pick up the cab company should be able to accommodate that. His excuse for being late was that while he tries to accommodate reservations, he also tries to complete other rides to people until then. I never said I expected the cab company to stop what they’re doing until they’ve completed my trip, but if a driver knows they have a reservation they need to make sure they are going to be at the pick up point on time. Now I’m probably going to be late to work.

My cab driver was awesome, found My skateboard btw, whoever picked up an early morning drunk off arrowhead to Taylor deserves a pay increase. 12/10 would recommend for faded travel needs.

I called 10hrs prior for scheduling a time pickup, and stated in phone call that I had a bus to catch and needed to be picked up no later then time stated. When I arrived home I called them again 15 minutes before the time of pickup just to be sure the cab was on its way, the lady on end of line rudely stated it was on its way.Then I get a text that the cab would be 12 minutes late on exact time they were supposed to be picking me up!Luckily my roommate was home briefly and could take me or I would have been late and most likely missed my bus on top of paying a $15 cab fare... how do you expect to run a business and expect people to pay so much to get just a few miles away and treat them like that?!I could have missed that bus and been out that bus ticket fare and ruined my plans for my entire trip off of work, so messed up!I was livid.

I was on my way home around 5am from dropping off my boyfriend at work when I passed one of these Taxi. I got around him no issues and then got in front of him because there was no need for me to be in the left lane. A mile later, he’s tailgating me and won’t back off or go around. So I brake checked him not knowing why he was still behind me and didn’t proceed to pass. After I break checked him he turned his brights on and brighted me for 500ft until I sped away because the light was bright in my eyes. He got off on the Mohawk exit at around 5:10 this morning. This was uncalled for and I would expect more from someone who drives others around for a living.

This cab company was good for a while. They have since started to be last or not even be able to assist me in a timely manner. I have called several times in the last few months and they are havent even been able to come to get me and when I asked the woman on the phone when I could get a car she was flippant or just down right rude to me.I would suggest you look at a different company in town. There are several. I think that the Toyota Prius is showing its weakness as a commercial vehicle. The Toyota engineering teams seem be correct about how well these cars will stand up to 24/7 usage. I can only hope that these guys get some other cars on the road to help those of us that need rides at night and need to be on time during the day.I guess it is the buyer beware that good old Ben Franklin spook of so many years ago. I called to get a taxi from my house to work. After being told it should take 15 minutes, I found myself waiting a half an hour. So I called again. I was told that the driver sat outside of my house for a while and called me. He then cancelled the call..I was waiting and watching out my window. Never saw anyone pull up, leave, etc.. Never once got a phone call or a voicemail. So now I am going to be late for work. This is unacceptable and I will be telling everyone about my experience. I am very dissapointed with how they handled this. The man on the other end was very apologetic. Which I appreciate. Unfortunately his apology isnt going to make me get to work on time....

The male dispatcher who answers the phone for this company is extemely rude. He answers all of your questions sarcastically and will not give his name up when asked. In fact he will actually just hang up on you. I would not recommend this taxi company.

Seriously the best, most affordable clean pleasent experience Ive EVER had. First I had Brian, he was really soft spoken but really like to engage in convorsation. 2nd, was a pleasent fellow named Mike. He was so nice and he loved to talk and make jokes, nothing crued he was just a charming old chap. But my favorite guys, the best you will ever have in a taxi driver, SCUD. Yep, that his name, you read it right, Mr . Scud.I had to go home early from work due to an allergic reaction. As I got in he offered me nice cold water and a bowl of chocolate! Ladies, this man has chocolate in his prius. He played amazing music. Asked if I needed to go to the er ( which it was a food allergy, I just needed benedryl and it was minor ) He was so awesome and I even got his card. He even got me home a faster way and the cheapest Ive ever paid for a taxi ride, compared to crummy budget taxi. Mad love for this company and much more high tech. Thank you for the amazing experiences youve given us guys!

Update 3/21/16: The owner reached out to me after this review and was very polite in addressing the issue.3/20/16: I appreciate the service taxis provide and hybrid taxi cabs are a great idea, but our ride was super terrifying. Our driver was acting as a dispatcher while driving. Ive been in cabs with a dispatch-driver before, but that involved a hands-free set and relaying orders over the phone. Our driver was typing multiple addresses onto her cell phone screen while driving. She kept glancing rapidly at the road to make sure we didnt crash, but her eyes were off the road at least half the time. I dont know if taxi drivers have some sort of exemption to the hands-free law, but this wasnt really hands free, and it just isnt safe to text and drive. Like, really not safe. She was tailgating and each time she looked down I wasnt sure she would see to stop in time if the car in front of her stopped, and she took a curve pretty badly because she was looking down as she went into it. She also wasnt wearing her seat belt, which was not specifically related to my personal safety, but it did speak of her attitude toward road safety and didnt inspire any confidence.

I am a truck driver my rig broke down in medford or. The closest part was eugene or. The person who answered the phone very friendly prompt . The driver who brought me the part very friendly ad well . I would definitely recommend this company to any one in need of a taxi service . Thank you so much agin hybrid taxie .

Took forever to get someone to just answer the phone. The company suggested getting the ap for quicker service. I dont live here so why would i download the ap that i cant use elswhere. When the cab arived it reeked of smoke but yet it said no smoking on the window.... the driver wasnt personable at all and was rude. He also used his phone as a gps while driving, which would be fine but nothing about it was hands free. He held it in his hands and looked down every time he needed to figure out where we were going. Hands down worse cab ride i have ever had. So sad eugene doesnt allow uber or lyft.

First I want to say...I hope the guy who was supposed be my driver is ok. I really do hope so.But I was getting a ride to work. The guy parked at the end of my road in front of someone elses house. I get a call saying hes there. So I go out and see headlights and ask him if thats him. Yes. So I start walking towards the car. He proceeded to tell me he had to run by the airport to drop someones bags off. I told him that didnt work for me. I had to be at work on time. He said sorry but he had too. I ended up walking away and having my sick husband get me to work (as I dont drive...I have a permit...) 30 mintues later i get a phone call and I ignore it because im at work. I get another phone call, i pick up. They were asking were i was. Because the driver had had an accident and wanted to known if I was in the car. Overall I wont ever use them. and after everything it would make me nervous to rely on them to get me somewhere on time but to also keep me safe. Thoughts and prayers to him and his family

That Suzy Cheesecake reviewer has no clue. This company is great. Their cars are all newer Prius. Nothing unreliable about that and the price for all taxis is the same in Eugene. My sister lives in Eugene and goes to the UO. I visit her a few times a year. We go out and hit the town hard when Im here. No DUII for me, so we take taxis. Eugene Hybrid Taxi Cabs showed up in front of Taylors one night last Sept. and weve used them ever since. Extra points for calling me in the morning before my flight back home to make sure Im awake and ready to go at 4 am.
