I attended King Cobra when I was 12 years old and left for personal reasons at 18, I recently decided to return 20 years later to finish what I started. Aside from retaining my rank, the moment I reintroduced myself to master Barton I was treated like a long lost family member returned. No questions, no judgment, just excitement to have me back. You will not find a dojo in this area with the sense of family that you get here. I cannot recommend this school enough.
My son went to another martial arts school for 5 years. Compared to King Cobra, the other school doesnt compare. At this school my son actually learned self defense and discipline. Hes competing in tournaments and doing well. The school promotes hard work and overcoming challenges. The instructors are knowledgeable and very skilled at what they do.The instructors are nice and friendly but firm. Id definitely recommend this school.
Great school Ive gone their for 4 plus years its fun a challenge and has thought me thousands of things so if your going to go to a karate school choose this one
Awesome
Incredibly greedy owner and maladjusted staff. Regardless of your situation, if you attempt to leave King Kobra Karate before your contract expires (such as in the event of them moving to an unreasonable location in relation to you) then you will suffer at the hands of their lawyers. They will drain you of every last drop of your hard earned money from start to finish. In terms of the actual service the usage of draconian punishment on youngsters is sadistic at best. You arent going to teach discipline to kids by making them do 100 pushups or making them stare at a wall. You are going to teach them to fear you. Save the pushups for the UMSC, okay? The only redeeming fact about this school is one of the teachers, Mr. Randy Vaughn. Hes very strict but he means well. He will instill good morals within everyone and separate the boys from the men.Respectfully though, Sensei Weston can take a long walk off a short pier.
